BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I’ve had my hands on this hot little number for some time now and I’m feeling a bit twatish for just now getting around to reviewing it. Not that I really have a worthy excuse but, first it was The Bachelor and as much as Arie makes me cringe, I’m still devoted. . .and then the Olympics happened and for two straight weeks, I was all about the snow. In fact, I found myself getting angry at my parents (may they rest in piece) for never putting me in any winter sports, even though we live deep in the heart of Texas, but still, maybe I could’ve been a halfpipe superstar. Ahhh, dreams. Which leads me to the here and now. I wanted to do this book justice, so I gave it a good ole re-read and found that I loved it just as much the second time around. I kinda feel like Tara doesn’t really need a whole lot of warning. . .once she hooks you, you’re gone and the only answer you look for is “When is the next one coming out?”. Well BXTCHES, the answer to that age old question is now. And just in case you’re interested in any of Tara’s inspiration for At The Stroke of Midnight, check out her Pinterest board here.

At The Stroke of Midnight will be told entirely through Cindy’s POV.

Cindy is about to enter the mid-life crisis stage of adulthood way before she’s even made it to mid-life. She was living what she thought was a pretty perfect, albeit somewhat Stepford, existence. She had the great family and the big house and if there ever was a show that featured The Very Active Housewives of Fairytale Lane, she would’ve been the star. But all that came crashing down when, what she thought was a great husband, ran off with the babysitter, leaving Cindy and her daughter with nothing. Doing what she thinks is the right thing, she finds herself defending her asshole ex to the neighborhood gossips, until Ariel enters the picture and forces Cindy to start facing reality and to also remove the giant stick she has shoved up her ass.

All three of our princesses are facing their own kind of desperate situation. Cindy’s husband left her without any means to financially support her and her daughter. Ariel, who has a love for all things antique, finds herself having to pay her now gay ex, alimony and Belle just wants to be able to save the town’s library. Desperate times call for desperate measures and desperate measures leads to the ladies dressing up as their namesakes, but in a way that’ll have grown men throwing money at them to do so. Ahhh, dreams.

Of course, there’s more to how they get from point A to point B. Or in this case going from the president of the PTA to welcoming Cindy to the main stage. There’s a Halloween party with weird vegan cupcakes and a birthday party where they’re supposed to be hot princess strippers but they don’t know they’re supposed to be hot princess strippers and instead show up dressed as if they were actually walking in the Main Street Parade at Disney World. But all is good, because without these mishaps, Cindy would’ve never laid her pretty blue eyes on PJ Charming, the owner of Charming’s, the local strip club and with his help, although reluctant, Cindy begins to bust out of that Stepford shell she’s built up over the years. A dream is a wish your heart makes for sure. Let’s take a moment of silence to imagine how different our adult lives would be if Tara was the one feeding us our Disney stories. Ahh, dreams.

PJ won’t be able to take full credit for Cindy finding her inner (and outer) stripper and I mean that metaphorically as well as literally. A lot of that credit goes to her two side BXTCHES. And that is the beauty of this story. Now, I’m about to get a bit serious on you, just bear with me. Maybe it was never Tara’s intentions, but she was able to tap into a pretty sobering topic. We may not all have the asshole husband or snotty neighbors, but I think too many times we allow the identifiers “mom” and “wife” to dominate our lives and forget about the woman that was there long before we were given other titles and that’s what At the Stroke taps into, just in a way that allows us to sit back and laugh at it, instead of wallowing in it. Maybe it’s time to let those inner strippers out and the freak flags fly, our husbands would surely approve.

I’m starting to wonder how many voices Tara has in her head at any given moment, because the cast of characters that she conjures up amaze me each and every time. It actually makes me jealous that I don’t have someone like Ariel floating around in my subconscious, but envy is a seven deadly, so amazing it is. We do get our intros to the other naughty princesses and I can tell you with absolute certainty, that as much as you will love the princess featured in At The Stroke of Midnight, waiting for Belle and Ariel’s story is going to be like waiting for Christmas and if Cosmo were to ever come out with a ‘What Naughty Princess Are You’ quiz, Good Golly Miss Molly, I hope I get to be Ariel. Every character in this book added something to the telling of this story, even down to the evil as fuck in-laws and chances are you will love them all. . .sans the evil as fuck in-laws and you probably won’t feel any love lost for the ex either, but the rest will have you falling hard. I think I read somewhere that Anastasia (the daughter) was modeled after Tara’s kiddo and now that I have enjoyed this book twice, I’m not sure if I feel for her or admire her that much more, because having your own offspring be able to challenge you in the smartassness department may piss you off, but it does spark a certain amount of pride.

There are two separate relationships happening in this book. The obvious one between Cindy and PJ, which has it’s own part in bringing out a different side of Cindy. And I am all about PJ. The lap dances alone have me rethinking my own seduction skills, but that relationship plays second fiddle to the one between Cindy, Ariel, and Belle. You’re gonna love Cindy, but when we first meet her, she’s kind of a bitch. That is until Ariel and Belle almost force their way in. It’s three personalities that don’t exactly fit together, but there is something in each of them that the others need and I suspect as we move further into this series, it’s gonna be the girls that bring out the best in each other and the guys are just gonna be lucky enough to tag along for the ride.

It just requires sexual stimulation to generic pharmacy cialis work flawlessly. There is the levitra canada ticket price for two just for starters, then of course the snacks (which you always seem to need even after a nice dinner out). You would have listened about Kamagra ED medication, go through the article and know more about this miraculous medicine: What are Kamagra jellies? canada viagra prescription In general, the jellies are the most popular oral therapies that are fast acting. Be that as it may, the extraordinary side issues can free sample cialis negatively affect your well-being. Maybe you’re someone who has yet to discover Tara’s wildly funny and a little bit dirty imagination and if that’s the case, At The Stroke is a good place to start. However, if you are that person, then I highly suggest you jump on board this crazy train and start at the very beginning with the Chocolate Lovers Series. You will not be disappointed and you’ll probably be able to add a few more colorful phrases/insults to your vocab. So, it’s a win all the way around.

There are a handful of authors that I will one-click blindly and Tara Sivec is one of them. In my opinion, she writes the best kind of romantic comedy. It’s the kind that sounds crazy when you try to explain it to anyone else, so you just wind up with a “you just have to read it” explanation. It’s the kind that blocks out the snoring husband and forever wanting a snack kids. It’s the kind that has you justifying just one more chapter. But the best part. . .it’s the kind that has you laughing out loud and allows you the escape that all of us WOMEN deserve. Bxtches Be ReadingAt The Stroke of Midnight (The Naughty Princess Club Series, Book #1) by Tara Sivec | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Shen | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comMidnight Blue (Hollywood Chronicles Series, Book #1) by L.J. Shen | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I wasn’t gonna read this book, even though I had already fallen in love with L.J. Shen. . .I had just finished Vicious and Defy, so she wasn’t the issue. I downloaded a copy, the cover alone was enough for me to raise my hands in some praise, but I wasn’t sucked in right away and this BXTCH needs the mental orgasm in order to continue with the one-click. But then Facebook happened and I kept seeing this book and how wonderful it was and how it was the best rock star romance some person I didn’t know had ever read. Well shit, did I really wanna miss out on the best rock star romance that person had ever come across? I decided I didn’t and I would like to take the time to say “thank you” to that random person who was able to sway me, because it was phenomenal.

Midnight Blue will be told through both Alex and Indie’s POV.

Alex Winslow is rocker extraordinaire and all that it implies. Unfortunately he has had a bit too many moments recently that has brought some embarrassment to his reputation, including some rehab and one event that was very Kanye-esque. In an effort to save his career, his people decide that a tour is in order and in order for that to bring back some dignity to his legacy, he will need a sober companion. Enter Indigo Bellamy.

In the game of life, Indie was dealt a very shitty hand. In a nutshell, her parents were killed in a hit and run, leaving a teenage Indie in the care of her big brother (Craig), who had dreams of his very own that were put on hold when he was forced into the role of parent. That one moment in time, really threw this family into a tailspin and that family now includes Craig’s wife, Nat and their son, Ziggy. Their new reality is struggle and Indie can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel when she is offered $100k/month to babysit an egotistical rock star. She’s prepared for anything, but will her determination to save what’s left of her family stand strong against his determination to break her?

We all know where this is going. Well, where some of it is going to go. But, hang on to any presumptions that you may think you have, forget about any storylines that you think you’re gonna be able to solve. While most books foreshadow enough that it’s all figured out before that last page is turned, L.J. Shen says fuck that shit, I’m taking you BXTCHES on a roller coaster of a journey. It’ll be exhilarating and could very well have your stomach in your throat, so you better kick back some dramamine and hang on tight, because some twists are turns are coming your way.

I don’t really know if I would call this an ensemble cast type of book. Maybe I would? The supporting cast certainly completes the telling of this story, it’s just that every part of this story revolves around either Alex and/or Indie. Having said that, every character was so well thought out and whether the part they played happened to be a small speck or a character that left you salivating for more. . .every part was instrumental. And when I say “twists and turns”, that even trickles down to these guys, she really knew how to blindside, but again, in a good way.

Here is what I have learned about Ms. Shen. . .she has a knack for writing an asshole that puts definition in “there’s a thin line between love and hate”. As the reader, you could certainly empathize with Indie, the hate she had towards Alex, it was felt in your soul (and very understood), but the passion and the lust that he was able to bring out of her, Good Lord, it shot all the way to your toes (also, very understood). And I must admit, this BXTCH is really starting to prefer this way of bringing a character right into the imagination, I’m loving the asshole meets angsty soul meets sex lord meets sweet romantic. Sign me up!

Of course, we have got to discuss the sex and if the image from the cover wasn’t enough to activate your senses, just know that L.J. Shen has herself a dirty, but delicious mind and that’s just what this BXTCH loves. Alex lighting it up shouldn’t be a surprise, it’s what we live for when we crack open this type of book. Where you may be surprised is with Indie, our sweet little Indie. Our lady in the streets, definitely became a freak in the sheets. Actually, sometimes she brought that freak to the streets as well.

I’m kinda mad at myself that I didn’t think this book was gonna do it for me. Even though I have only read two of the four books in the Sinners of Saints series, it should’ve been enough for me to know that L.J. Shen knows how to bring it and I don’t think I’ll ever make that mistake again. My bad and my apologies.
Legally, you can buy them as over-the-counter on several places, but with this cialis online prices complex medicine, it is belonging to febrile symptom and it will surely make a difference. Dapoxetine decelerates the ejaculation procedure so therefore treats early ejaculation. The powerful mixture of Sildenafil Citrate and Dapoxetine gives males now the chance of using a much longer erection. viagra pharmacy prices Psychological reasons for impotence order cialis canada include anxiety, depression, relationship problems, social withdrawal, low self-esteem, libido etc. Milk boosts the level unica-web.com discount cialis of insulin-like growth factor in your blood stream (like aluminum).
Trust a BXTCH when she tells you to give Alex and Indie the chance they deserve. I wasn’t feeling it in the beginning, but good recipes become great once they’ve had the opportunity to simmer and let their flavors really develop, patience is the key and the same can be said for Alex and Indie, just let it hang out and wait for it to develop and then it will really come alive. And good gracious, Shen brings it all with this one. Talk about options. . .humor. . . heartache. . . anger. . .lust. . . love. . .passion. . .take your pick, just be sure to grab the menu.

I don’t know if labeling Midnight Blue as a rock star romance does it the justice is deserves. Maybe it does. I mean it does have the angst, turmoil, and heartbreak that rock stars are very well known for. It also brings in addiction and an air of superiority that they’re very good at cloaking themselves in as well. But here’s what you need to know about Midnight Blue, you will feel every emotion as it plays out, every pain, every sorrow, every high and every low. It reaches in and takes hold and Shen has no shame in requiring that the reader grab on to each word, while hanging on by the skin of their teeth, because nothing is predictable and books that are this great, really shouldn’t be.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingMidnight Blue (Hollywood Chronicles Series, Book #1) by L.J. BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I first read this book back in October (2017), even though it was released in December 2016. . .how I managed to miss it, I have no idea, clearly I wasn’t paying attention, but I’m on it now, so better late than never. And to ensure that I miss nothing, this is read #2. Although Vicious is the first book in this series, the second book (Defy) somewhat overlaps this story, so if you were feeling adventurous, you could start with that one, however, after reading both books, I do suggest that you start right here. Oh, and this book is part of the Kindle Unlimited Program, which makes it free for members.

Vicious will be told through both Vicious and Emilia’s POV.

Vicious is somewhat told in two separate parts, not in a part one and a part two way, more of a now and then kinda way. And trust a BXTCH,  if ever there was a book where you need the ‘then’ to understand the ‘now’, it’s Vicious

Let’s start ten years back. This part of the story takes place in Todos Santos, CA, where Vicious (Baron) lives with his dad and step-mom. Because it’s an important part of the story, you need to know that Vicious’ dad (also Baron) owns most of the town, which would make them very fucking wealthy. And in true ‘very fucking wealthy’ style, they have help and that help comes in the form of Emilia and family, which includes Emilia, her sister Rosie, and her mom and dad, really the help is just mom and dad, but the whole fam lives on the property. This is also the part where I guess I should tell you that Vicious usually skips over calling Emilia by her given name or even by the nickname Millie, he goes straight to the asshole route and decides that ‘Help’ would be a better suited moniker and I only share that so you can get a full grasp of what an asshole Vicious truly is.

Vicious along with Jamie, Trent, and Dean make up the group known around town as the HotHoles, which in truth, would be better termed as AssHoles (that word could very well be a common theme). To save a bunch of words and to get straight to the point, the HotHoles say ‘jump’ and most say ‘how high?’, they demand and they receive. . .surely you get the point. As teens, both Vicious and Emilia have eyes for one another. . .unfortunately for Emilia, Vicious is an asshole and lives somewhat by the creed ‘if I can’t have her, then no one can’ and it’s this particular creed that will shape not only Emilia’s future, but it also paves the way for how she winds up feeling about him. I know, this is all very cryptic. . .but turns out, this is one glorious journey.

Even though this story is told back and forth, the meat of the pages take place in the now and hopefully you’ve cottoned on to the fact that a Vicious and Emilia is a foregone conclusion. That’s the easy part, it’s the how that will not only have you unable to put it down, but will also make you start to fall just a bit for the one that you should hate, because once it all comes together, Vicious may not be all that Vicious after all. Asshole? Yes.

While we’re busy being enamored by what Emilia and Vicious are bringing to the story, don’t forget to pay attention to those that are surrounding them, because those are the ones that will be front and center in the future. The most interesting and possibly most heart wrenching supporting character is going to be Rosie (the little sister). Her and Dean are book #3 (Ruckus) and (non spoiler) Rosie has Cystic Fibrosis and that alone will make it difficult to turn the page, knowing what we think will be the inevitable, but what I think is going to be the most intriguing part of their story is what could be the underlying theme of ‘you think you know, but you have no idea’. . .and I don’t have one idea, but I cannot wait to find out. The second book will belong to Jamie and it’s a bit tabooish in the most delicious way, while Trent will get book #4. I can’t imagine this series not getting hotter and hotter, so have those fans ready.

I can’t say whether or not you’ll wind up loving Vicious (the man, you’ll love the book), but one thing that will translate well. . .Asshole + Alpha = heaven in the bedroom. The lust and sexual tension between Vicious and Emilia, pours off of the page. . .then and now. L.J. Shen was able to harness that need and have pour it over into their adult lives and have the electricity come alive in the bedroom or tattoo parlor or office. . .you get the hint. My point? Your eyes may be rolling into the back of your head when your done. And not in a sarcastic way either.
A prior medical assistance with one’s medical history is recommended to be taken in order to protect oneself from tadalafil cialis generika underlying ed problem. Particularly, those people whose partner is not experienced cialis side effects levitra 60 mg article or is inhibited when communicating about sexual issues, it may be better to order your Kamagra tablets online. On paper (no pun intended), this is a couple that probably shouldn’t work. He’s an asshole, she isn’t. She’s an artist and he’s no where close. He’s all designer suites and she’s thrift store finds. She has compassion, he does not. But in the end, they’re able to fulfill that missing piece in each other. Emilia will be easy to love. Her feisty nature will challenge Vicious, she’s a free spirit that takes care of others before herself and she’s fucking funny, which I love in my leading ladies. But the counter to that? You’re gonna want to hate Vicious, but as with every tragic soul, there’s an untold history, one that will pull the compassion from your soul and force you to look through a different set of lenses. And when that puzzle starts to come together, you may very well find yourself with a love for Vicious that will knock you on your ass, because you did not see it coming. Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingVicious (Sinners of Saint Series, Book #1) by L.J. BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Let’s start with some truth. I read this book a while ago, like a little over a year ago. Then some months ago, I decided to give the whole series a re-read because #1: Why not? It’s a great series that makes you laugh and swoon and feel all the feels and #2: I thought it would be best to refresh myself with the first three couples in this series so I could really go all in on Tucker and Sabrina, again. Here’s the deal, I do think that this book could maybe (and that’s a pretty thin maybe) be read as a stand-alone BUT you will certainly lose the camaraderie that comes with this series and I should go ahead and tell you that this books takes place during book #3 (The Score) which is Dean and Allie’s story, so that may be another reason to go in order.

The Goal will be told through both Tucker’s and Sabrina’s POV.

If you did right by the author and read this series in order, then you should be somewhat familiar with Sabrina. Even though we have already met her, we have yet to get her backstory and what a story she has. To sum it up. . .her home life sucks. . .she’s working a shit ton of jobs. . .her dream is Harvard and law. So, to say her time for relationships is non-existent, is an understatement. No worries, sex is still on the table and athletes are her entree of choice, minus hockey players. . .well that is, until Tucker.

Unlike Garrett and Logan, Tucker’s future doesn’t include pro hockey. His goals involve him moving back to Texas and starting a business, using the life insurance money left by his dad. Little does he know that life is about to change up his playbook.

Even though Tucker is interested in making his time with Sabrina a multiple rendezvous thing, Sabrina did really try to keep it to one time only, but there’s only so many times you can deny those hormones. If you read the previous book, you somewhat know how this is gonna play out, which is why when I tell you the following, I’m not really spoiling anything for you, Tucker did that already in book #3. If you didn’t know that “just the tip” was really a myth, Tucker is about to educate, because he plants his seed straight up in Sabrina’s uterus.

We sorta already know the jest of this story, but now we are going all in, if you catch my drift and maybe you don’t, but trust a BXTCH this journey is well worth it.

After reading Dean’s story, I knew that I needed to read this book. Hell, who am I kidding, I knew I was going to dive into this entire series after book #1, Dean’s story just reinforced the fact that I was definitely going to need some closure where Tucker was concerned and Elle Kennedy not only delivers it, she left me with a very satisfied smile on my face.

One thing I think we all look forward to when we begin a fantastically written ensemble series, is the re-visit of characters that we can’t help but love as we move through the books and The Off-Campus series is no different. We get to not only catch up with Garrett and Hannah, but Sophie and Logan as well. But let’s forget about them for just a second, the thing about this book that was so wonderful, was the fact that it almost follows the timeline of Dean and Allie, so you’re able to really reminiscent about how great that book was, if you read it of course. While Sabrina has her circle that she brings into this story, The Goal really hones in on Tucker and Sabrina, with the support chiming in when necessary. I do believe that this is the final book of this series, but oh me oh my oh, would I love for just one small glimpse into the lives of these characters who have provided much needed laughs and escapes.

Though I don’t really think any of the guys can measure up to what Dean was bringing to the show (translate: bedroom), they do get close and Tucker was no exception. He made it work in the front seat of a truck for crying out loud, that is some talent and a bit of a treat. Tucker and Sabrina certainly know how to steam it up and Elle Kennedy made sure that the action within these pages is enough to have your toes curled and your face fanned. If it didn’t wash over you by looking at that cover, just look at the Favorite Moments. . .you’ll get it then.

I think the last two books in this series take a totally different turn than the first two. Where Garrett and Logan’s stories were more light hearted, Dean and Tucker took a much different, almost heart wrenching journey. I know I said that you could go straight stand alone with Tucker’s story, I just really hope you don’t choose to. Once you turn that first page on book #1, you will be sucked in and she is not gonna let you go until the closure comes in book #4. Dean’s story was the hardest to get through (in a soul cleansing way) and since Tucker’s story is told contemporaneously, you will have to live through some of the heartbreak again, but you also get to experience the bond that not only these four have, but the bond that develops between the ladies as well. She wrote a family and with each story that family just grows and grows. Elle Kennedy gives great read, but she also gives what everyone is looking for when they turn a page in any book. . .escape. Now there’s nothing left to do but look forward to the re-read.

The Bachelor 2018 | Episode Six Re-Cap | 02.05.18

The Bachelor Re-Cap | www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

The Bachelor Re-Cap | www.bxtchesbeblogging.comLast Week On: We got to witness Arie make out with a bowling ball, which I’m sure shriveled up all of our lady bits. . .Krystal is still the solo passenger on the Crazy Train to nowhere. . .Tia confessed her love and Chelsea gave him a lap dance, so all around the week went good for Arie. It wasn’t all fun and games though, we still got to witness the dreams of Ashley, Maquel, and Marikh die a slow and painful death.

Tonight On: (2) one-on-one dates, (1) group date, and (1) two-on-one date.

Well, our spit swapping love fest has made it to Paris, so I’m sure a lot more “I love you’s” are gonna be handed out. Me personally, I would be pissed if I had my one-on-0ne in LA or Ft. Lauderdale, when I could’ve gotten my time in Paris. Chris shows up to tell the ladies that there will be four dates this week, one of which will be a two-on-one. Krystal for some reason knows that she will be part of that dreaded date, because I’ve had a target on my back since my one-on-one. Now, I’m not sure if she understands how targets work, but usually they’re put there by someone who doesn’t care too much for you. If it’s Arie who’s picking these dates, then why would she automatically assume that her and her target are gonna be put in the line of fire? Regardless, the date card has been dropped and up first is. . .Lauren.

One-on-One Date #1: Lauren Tomber amoureux à Paris-Arie | Fall in love in Paris is what Arie is throwing to Lauren and soon after the card is read, Arie shows up to whisk her away for a boat ride down the Seine. But first, let’s learn a little about Lauren. She is 26 years old and graduated from Old Dominion University back in 2015 with a degree in psychology. She resides in Dallas and works as a sales executive for Vonage Business. There’s nothing too juicy to report, except she was engaged to NHL player Chris Crane and they were set to tie the knot back in July 2017, but called off their engagement in December 2016. The one thing that really gives me pause about Lauren is her eagerness to walk down the aisle. I have no idea what brought about the end of her previous engagement, I’m not gonna try to dig that deep, BUT, if my math skills are somewhat accurate, she had just turned 25 when the engagement was called off. So, either she is really hard up for a husband or The Last Lauren Standing is really just hoping to get another career kicked off by being on the show. I think we need to face some facts, if it’s love she is looking for, I could go to many parts of Dallas right now and round up a football team of men that are not only better looking than Arie, but are just better period. So one has to wonder what is it that she is after.

The boat ride seemed to kick things off well, but the walk through the streets is screaming AWKWARD. JFC, you’re not walking through Six Flags, you’re in Paris for crying out loud. If you can’t find anything personal to talk about, talk about Paris, which Arie is trying to do, Lauren just isn’t offering any feedback. Maybe she should get her dating down pat before she tries to land herself a husband. I’m not sure on the direction their conversation is trying to go, because they do sit down and make an attempt at small talk. Lauren asks him about last week, he starts trying to clue in on whether or not she likes him because he’s really interested in her (which he tells her), but as much as he’s dropping the bait, she is not biting. Hopefully nighttime in Paris will have her eating up the romance and allow Arie to see another side to her, one he can’t resist, because if it’s anything like the day date, she could be going home.

You already know uncomfortable is probably going to be the name of the game when they walk into a Parisian restaurant and use the word ‘cute’ to describe it. Things kind of get going when she confides in him that she has trust issues and that she will usually friend zone a guy for around six months before she starts to trust him. This leads him to tell her about his most serious relationship which ended in a miscarriage and her leaving him. This of course leads Lauren to tell him about her engagement. But before that she tells him that her trust issues come from her parents and their marriage. Now, they’ve been married for 30 years, but she says it’s not a perfect marriage, but whose is? Anyway, from what I got out of her tiny confession was maybe her parents put her in the middle of their disagreements and that’s why her trust issues built up, I’m not entirely sure I’m translating that correctly, she’s closed tighter than a. . .well, I’m sure you get the point. She did say that she shut herself off even more when her ex-fiance didn’t treat her right. So, now the burden of all of this baggage sits on Arie’s lap. At the beginning of this date, while he was having his chance with the camera, he talked about how beautiful Lauren is, but he needed to see if there was anything beyond the beauty and hopefully this date will lead him there. There was nothing electric about their walk through Paris. . .no real conversation. . .no making out. . .nothing for hope to grab onto, which I’m sure is a first for that city. The dinner conversation did evolve a bit, but I’m not sure it moved enough in the right direction for him to give her false hope. He gives her the rose, which I’m good with, but he does this by throwing her on top of a pedestal, one that you would probably find in an art museum there. I think his objective would’ve been better served if he could have told her that he’s glad she opened up a bit, but he’s giving her the rose because he can’t wait to find out more about her. I think he is blinded by beauty and that is more important to him than making sure the emotional and intellectual connection is there and if he eventually sends her home, she is going to be very confused and there will be no hope for the next man in her life because whatever trust issues she is currently working through, will grow and cloud any sort future she could have in love.

Meanwhile back on the boat: The ladies are all sitting around waiting for the next date card and trying to figure out which order the dates will fall. A group date card arrives and the only names missing are Kendall, Jacqueline, and Krystal. Which means two of them will be going head to head

Group Date: Tia, Jenna, Becca, Bekah, Chelsea, Seinne Let’s get all dressed up.-Arie | I’m guessing they didn’t learn enough from the last date where costumes were involved and comfort zones were demolished, because they’re taking this to the Moulin Rouge. After Jenna’s little dance in the bowling alley, it’s not a surprise to see that she is super excited. Actually, overall excitement is what most are feeling. We do learn that Seinne can dance and Tia cannot. They get fitted for their costumes and we find Arie in another fucking cape, does he really think the Kissing Bandit is a real thing? Now the ladies are doing it up in their costumes, which to say that they are extravagant would be an understatement. At this point I can say that I have no idea what is happening. They find out that whoever gets the rose, will get to dance on stage with Arie. In the meantime, the ladies are doing some sort of a Moulin Rouge fashion show? I question it, because I have no idea, asses are getting blacked out, so thongs are definitely involved and Arie is being treated to some eye candy. The cocktail party is taking place in a VIP room within the Moulin Rouge and he lets them know straight from go that his decision on the rose is going to be based on their connection and not how well they “performed”, which should allow Tia to breathe a sigh of relief and she happens to be the one up first. The chemistry from their one-on-one is just pouring over to their conversation tonight. Bekah is next and there is something very refreshing about her while at the same time headachingly annoying. I can’t really put my finger on it. Maybe I just can’t tell if she is really genuine. I don’t know, I do get the feeling that Arie is starting to put some serious thought in whether or not things could progress beyond the physical with her. Once each girl gets her chance at selling her story and why she should be the one, Arie decides to gift the rose to Bekah, which not only shocked the girls, but this BXTCH was left a bit reeling as well. Now we have to watch the dance and to describe it as painful would be a compliment, but when I continue to say that someone on the production crew hates Arie, I am not saying it as a joke. They have this motherfucker come out in his suit donned with a cape and top hat, while lip synching to a song in French. This was a performance I could see on the stage in Branson, but this is the goddamn Moulin Rouge. . .once again leave it to the Americans to butcher the French.

Two-On-One: Kendall and Krystal. Two women, one rose. One stays, one goes. We’ll always have Paris -Arie | Krystal is the lucky one who reads the date card and she is almost tickled pink when she discovers that it’s gonna be her going head to head against Kendall. Going into the date, Krystal is full of confidence and Kendall is full of doubt. Both talk about how prepared Krystal is, which confuses me, because for the love of every 80’s rom-com ever made, what life skills have been acquired to help you prepare for this? Pressure, I understand. . .preparation, I do not. The date kicks off at a chateau and what better place to tell someone you’re not made to be my wife then in the French countryside? They enter a maze and the ladies have to find Arie, I know, it was as corny as it sounds. I’m not sure why anyone would put someone as crazy as Krystal in a maze, but she does find him first and no one was bloodied, so good times. Krystal is up first.

It seems that the sole incident that has Krystal on this date is what happened at the bowling alley. Back on episode three, Arie told Krystal that she could come and grab him if she ever felt lost and he seems a bit shook that she didn’t take advantage of that. For once, I agree. None of the ladies (especially Krystal) hesitate to interrupt when he’s feeling someone else up, but she couldn’t pull him aside in the bowling alley and discuss her hurt feelings? If he’s wanting a relationship built on good communication skills, then Krystal may not be the one. She is selling the incident as a bump in the road that they needed to encounter as a test to their forever. She apologizes and starts to talk about color and texture and depth and it is then I realize what she meant when she said she prepared, because those analogies (is that the right word?) aren’t ones that just come to ones mind in the middle of a discussion, there is a journal somewhere with this whole convo in it and Mrs. Arie Luyendyk, Jr. doodled on the front. He says he felt her sincerity, I think he was getting it confused with his dick, because whatever she prepared worked, he even stuck his tongue in her mouth for good measure. It may all be for nothing, because as soon as the kissing is over, Krystal throws Kendall under the same bus she threw Arie under. She takes it upon herself to tell Arie that Kendall has never been in love and is not really in a position ready for marriage. Good Lord, someone needs to make a voodoo doll of Krystal and use it in the most creative ways imaginable.

The buses are causing a lot of carnage, Arie wasted no time filling Kendall in on what Krystal had to say about her. Which, let’s stop for just a minute. Couldn’t he have just asked her where her head was at concerning marriage? Did he have to say “Krystal said”? All that conveys is that he can’t be trusted when someone comes to him in confidence. But trust a BXTCH, Kendall handled herself like a woman. She then took that confidence to her confrontation with Krystal and then things got weird. It turned into a daytime talk show moment and Kendall was able to leave Krystal saying I don’t have words so there was some winning. Arie decides that the decision is just too difficult to make at that moment and tells the ladies that they will meet up again at dinner.  This is becoming way more dramatic then it needs to be.

Since Kendall left Krystal without words earlier, she seemed to find them on her way to dinner. Unfortunately, Krystal doesn’t even compare to Kendall where intellect is concerned. Krystal says words just to hear herself talk and Kendall actually offers substance in her thoughts and thinks before she speaks. And both prove just that when Arie sits down at the table. For real. . .voodoo doll. . . Marie Laveau. . .someone make it happen. He only pulls Kendall aside and we weren’t worthy enough to pry into that conversation, but she does come back sans lipstick, so it’s safe to assume that things went well. Before we know what’s happening, Arie is at the table giving the speech meant to soften the blow. In the end, Kendall wins out and it’s time to say goodbye to Crazy. And if it wasn’t bad enough that she was left without her husband, he didn’t even walk her out. Damn, she may need a glass of water to get that crow down. While Krystal cried, Kendall made out with Arie atop of the Eiffel Tower. #relationshipgoals (not with Arie) And let me add, the Women Tell All is gonna be epic!

One-On-One #2: Jacquline | I feel like this is a one-on-one for me and Jacqueline as well, because I’m not 100% sold on her just yet. Though, I should be, she does stand out from the majority of the girls left and that alone should entice me, but I’m here to give her a shot, so let’s get this date going. The car breaks down immediately, so let’s hope it’s not a sign. I thought he was really gonna put his mancard out there and make her toes curl by fixing the car, but a taxi it is and the first stop is some shopping and a new dress for Jacqueline. We are once again at the part of the date where concerns and life stories get told. Her worry is she is just an experiment for Arie. She is basing that on not yet receiving a group date rose or a one-on-one date. I understand the group date rose, but I would rather be in Paris when I get picked for a one-on-one than in Lake Tahoe, you need to take your blessings girl. He tells her that his concern was her intelligence. What the fuck? Well, he thought she was just too smart for him. That’s a true statement and one that she should probably consider. Despite that, their discussion is very promising, in a laying it all out there way. She wants to get her PhD and that’s six years of school and he doesn’t want to hold anyone back from their dreams. There are a lot of what-if’s in the air, but in the end he must see something in her and she sees something in him, because he gives it and she accepts.

“I’m not interested in having a three-way, like, I’m there to talk with Arie and that’s it, so. . .game on.” -Krystal

“Is a french kiss in France just a kiss?” -Arie

“How boring are the other relationships compared to mine and Arie’s? I mean, really. Baby, I’m wife material. Yes. Fun wife material. -Krystal

“I think maybe some girls in the house will be shocked if Krystal comes home from the two-on-one, but I don’t know how shocked I would actually be. No one thought Trump was going to win the election either and looky here we are.” -Bekah

“I think when I got the date card it felt like I was given a pony for Christmas. But it’s also like, if you don’t learn to ride this pony correctly by the end of the day, it’ll be shot.” -Jacqueline

I was actually shocked at who he chose to go home. Jenna not so much. In fact, I’m starting to think that some of these girls are really just upset over the lost adventure rather than losing the chance at love. Jenna only had group dates. There’s not even a one night stand involved, I don’t get the pain and tears. If I meet up with a group of people every weekend for a couple of months and even though I may feel a connection to one of them, my life isn’t over if he were to tell me there is no future. I would maybe be upset, but really it would be his loss. I was more surprised with Chelsea going home. I actually thought it would be Seinne. His connection with Chelsea was on fire last week and even though his connection with Seinne is good, I just thought it was better with Chelsea.

I’m offering up another great idea to those over at The Bachelor and this may be one you want to look into. Remember how giddy you would get in the beginning stages of a relationship, when he would call and hours would be spent getting to know the other over the phone? I think after a one-on-one, the Bachelor/ette should call. Maybe not the same night, but the next day. You could even gift a phone call to whoever gets the group date rose. It would not only bring about a bit of normalcy to the craziness that is this show, but it would give an opportunity to really get to know one another in a way that just can’t be done with a camera in the face.

Let’s discuss the Moulin Rouge date for a bit. Shame on whoever came up with that idea, do you know women at all? Even though Arie may have said that the performances would have no bearing whatsoever on his rose decision, but c’mon, do we really believe that after seeing 22 year old Bekah in her teeny tiny costume he didn’t use another body part to make that decision? My problem with the date is not that he chose Bekah, my problem is that the ladies were made to put themselves in costumes that he hadn’t really earned the right to see them in yet. Not to mention, it was clearly uncomfortable for some of them and nothing is worse than having to display every insecurity you have about yourself for not only your love interest to see, but for his love interests to see as well. Then him picking Bekah just brought all those insecurities right up to the surface.

I need to know how ABC continues to find so many contestants with trust issues and why someone who has trust issues makes the decision to go on a show where having trust is a main component to success. Have I mentioned the word trust enough? I like Lauren, however, I think she’s about as interesting as watching paint dry, which has nothing to do with what I’m trying to say, just thought it needed to be said. When the conversation kicks off at “dinner” and she starts with how her parents have been married for 30 years, I didn’t really understand where her point was trying to go. When she continued with how their marriage isn’t perfect and some of her issues stem from her being put in the middle of things, I was even more confused. First, for her to even think that there is a perfect marriage somewhere is just plain ole’ naive. Even Disney doesn’t paint that picture. Now, if her parents are in a loveless marriage, then that’s a different canvas she could’ve painted her picture on, but my impression was that maybe they argue a lot, but the truth is, I’m still confused. I get the ex-fiance issue, but I just don’t see it as a hang up. Her being able to cancel the engagement and leave the asshole, should’ve given her strength to forge ahead, not use it as a weakness to hold her back. And are we still doing the “he hurt me, which means the next guy will as well” game? Jeez, that’s such a cliché. Which is why I call bullshit. I’ve said it before, but anyone who has trust issues to the point of having to friend zone a guy for six months before letting them in, isn’t someone who would willingly turn to T.V. for their ever after. Just take Ben and Lauren, she knew what she was getting into and even though she was the one picked in the end, she just couldn’t get over the fact that he told Jojo he loved her as well. That was the reason for the breakup, not that he went to a fantasy suite with two other women, where he most likely got to know them a helluva lot better. Nope, she just couldn’t get over the fact that he fell in love with her and Jojo. So do we really believe that anyone with enough emotional baggage to fill the trunk of a small car will be able to handle being picked in the end while having to watch him declare his feelings for other women?

As much as I was ecstatic to see Krystal left alone in Paris, the two-on-one has got to go. I feel like it goes against everything the sisterhood is supposed to be about. Well, this show probably does that as well, it’s just that this particular date is meant for the two chosen to smear one another by any means necessary just to be given a rose. I don’t know the stats, but I’m curious to know if any person that has gone on a two-on-one has been the last one standing in the end. Think about it, you’re chosen to go on a date where someone is meant to go home, someone is going to be deemed not good enough, which means when the Bachelor/ette picks the two people, they are aware of that. So how close could their relationship be with either? The truth, I think Kendall handled herself like a champ on this date, far better than I would’ve done, but why does it ever have to get to the point where backs are falling onto knives? We’re already judging these contestants a tiny bit for using this avenue to find a spouse, why humiliate them more by having them left stranded alone on a island or in the middle of a swamp or in some Parisian restaurant. If a two-on-one is necessary, then why not do the exact same date, just separate. One gets the sun and one gets the moon and in the end only one will get the rose.

The Bachelor airs on ABC Mondays. . .7pm CENTRAL/8pm EASTERN
