BXTCHES Gotta Warn: First, I HIGHLY recommend book #1 in this series, Whiskey Neat, however, if you decide by chance, to dive right into Jack and Coke first, then believe it or not, you will be just fine. While Griffin and Lenore (Whiskey Neat’s couple) are a part (somewhat) of Jack and Coke, it’s not too much that the reader will be confused. Even though I have said all of that, my feeling is that this series is going to blow me out of the water and with all great series, you certainly want to start at the very beginning. No worries, Whiskey Neat has a great alpha, who happens to be a Texas Ranger (the law enforcement kind, not bat swinging kind), feisty heroine, a sex toy shop, and phenomenal between the sheets action, so you really are missing out on the action by not falling in love with Griffin, Lenore and everything that is Whiskey Neat.

Jack an Coke will be told through the POV’s of both Mig and Annie.

Let’s start with Mig. Mig is a DEA agent stationed in Uncertain, Texas to help control/watch over the drugs that are filtering in through the local river. Mig is married to Jennifer, but it’s super important to understand how Mig and Jennifer began. Since there really is no smooth way for me lay it out for you, I’m just gonna go for it. While at a club party, Jennifer drugged Mig, then proceeded to rape him, in the process, becoming pregnant. Now, there is a reason behind that craziness and the reason will certainly add to the drama that makes up Mig and Annie’s story, but you will not find out that reason here, you’ll need to crack open some Jack and Coke and enjoy it for yourself.

Annie lives next door to Mig and Jennifer and has been far gone ever since she laid eyes on him. Her marriage to her ex-husband was a marriage not filled with passion or excitement or the kind of sex that had her craving more and more, which is why it ended. But, just seeing Mig has Annie’s body reacting in a way very new to her, but in a way that has her taking notice and recognizing what she finally wanted in her man, so why settle? The obstacle in her way is the little gold band uniting Mig to Jennifer.

Mig has wanted Annie just as long as she has wanted him. Mig may be a lot of things, maybe even a lot of bad things, but he is not a man who turns his back on his responsibilities. While his baby may have been conceived not with an ounce of love, but full of deceit, his values do not allow him to ignore the mother of his child, so he does what he thinks is the right thing and marries her, which in hindsight, just delays his inevitable union with Annie.

Of course, Mig and Annie get together. It does take quite a few hoop jumps to make it happen though, but thank goodness that is when we really get to the meat of the story and if you thought it was hard to turn your back on Jack and Coke up to that point, just settle in, because once it gets going, it will become impossible.

The period where order cheap levitra the bodybuilder is not using is to get the body back to having a normal function. Yes buying them online will help you to better your sexual execution. Not only do you fall head over heels for Mig and Annie, but they’re surrounded with a certain kind of camaraderie that adds a rich layer to an already full story. When you get a series like the Uncertain Saints MC, you need each book to peel back more and more and allow the reader to become familiar with future characters, Jack and Coke will do that for you. There’s also characters in Mig and Annie’s story that we will only get here. For example, Annie’s family and Mig’s parents, who give just enough to complete this book. So, all in all, while this may not be an ensemble type of cast, they certainly add what you need to leave you longing for the next story.

It shouldn’t be surprising when I tell you that the mattress dancing in Jack and Coke will leave you actually needing a jack and coke. It’s everything you want and expect from an Alpha/Law Enforcement/Take Charge type of man. Dressing rooms, poolside, hospital bathrooms, there are no apologies on where or when. . .and there doesn’t need to be. Light the cigarette, pour the drink. . .you’ll certainly need it. Thank you Lani Lynn Vale.

One of the things that Lani Lynn Vale does so well is the balance she brings between humor and suspense/drama. She can have you pissed off at your alpha on one page, the edge of your seat on the next, then have you laughing out loud, all in the span of a chapter. There’s not many stones left unturned. So, regardless what tickles your fancy, she offers you a buffet of different types of excitement. On a side note, please take a moment just to honor the hella hotness that is that fucking cover. Well done.

Vodka on the Rocks is book #3 in this series (look for it July 2016) and that will bring us Casten. We get a bit of him in Jack and Coke, again, just enough to have you anticipating what the next book will bring.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I’m not sure if it’s just because each book is actually better than the last or because I have become so invested in each story. Doesn’t really matter, as long as she writes them, I’ll read them.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagJack and Coke (Uncertain MC Series, Book #2) | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Here we go again. We are now six books into this series and it just keeps getting better and better. Once again, I feel it is my absolute duty to go ahead and let you know that Kill Shot is a book that can be read as a stand-alone. This book is going to feature Bennett and Lennox. And truth be told, Bennett is not someone who has been featured a lot in previous books. So, while the rest of the gorgeous gang and their woman do make appearances in Kill Shot, the true focus is on Bennett, Lennox, and the people that surround their lives. While I may say that it is okay to read this book as a stand alone (and I think you will enjoy it if you do), the only reason that I don’t necessarily recommend it is because I feel like this series features a family of sorts and it does the heart good to get to know them all. I can also only assume that Lani Lynn Vale wrote them the way she did for a specific reason and her expectation was that the readers were going to enjoy them in the proper order. But, to each his own and all that. This BXTCH is for sure not going to tell you how to live your life.

Kill Shot will be told through both Bennett’s and Lennox’s POV.

I usually start with the lady when I head into my reviews, but this time I’m gonna start with Bennett. Bennett is part of the Kilgore SWAT team and is the single father of an 8 year old daughter (Reagan). His daughter was conceived when he was just 17 years old and she was very much unwanted by her mother, Corrinne. In fact, if Corrinne had it her way, Reagan would’ve never even seen the light of day. Bennett however, was prepared to do whatever it took to make sure that his daughter was brought into this world and was surrounded with love. Unfortunately he had enlisted in the military prior to her birth, so he came to rely heavily on his family during his time away. So now, he is a member of the SWAT team, he has a very witty albeit somewhat of a she-devil (not my words) 8 year old, a wonderful family, so life is good.

Lennox is a physicians assistant and is doing well. Her two BFF’s are keeping her life full of laughter and her mom and dad are both surgeons and very well respected in the medical world. The only prickly think hindering her well-being is a pesky person from her past. In fact, she has had to move, change her phone number and upend her life whenever this person makes the decision to come lurking back around. The problems started in college when the two of them were roommates and Lennox tried to warn a guy away from her. Ever since then, the problems have just escalated. But other than that, Lennox doesn’t have too many complaints.

Bennett comes barreling into Lennox’s life via the hospital. After finding himself on the wrong end of a bitch attack, he finds himself on the receiving end of some sutures and one very feisty physician’s assistant. They don’t immediately hit it off and things get strained further after Lennox’s crotch was hit by a french fry covered in ketchup by Bennett’s daughter (see, she-devil). It settles down after Lennox invites Bennett to her house to have his sutures removed (after a second incident). After that encounter. . .all bets are off.

And, we want to recognize if these enhancement products claim tadalafil tablets prices better sexual performance during intercourse.
Like I said earlier in the post, we don’t get a lot of the previous KPD SWAT couples in Kill Shot, we get more from Michael than anyone, but most likely because his book is next. I did enjoy the supporting cast in Kill Shot though. Bennett has a wonderful family and a enviable relationship with his sister Peyton. His daughter Reagan isn’t a prime presence in the book, but she certainly plays a pivotal role and makes herself known. Lennox has a wonderful circle surrounding her as well. She has her two BFF’s, Paxton and Melissa. Her parents and the whole SWAT crew, which she does a really good job of inserting herself into. So all in all, a very rounded out cast.

Once again, Lani Lynn Vale has done a great job in creating a very explosive sexual relationship between two characters. The sexual chemistry between Bennett and Lennox is dynamic. They bring everything needed to stroke the flames. . .dirty talk, passion, love. . .it’s all there and it’s all fucking hot.

Kill Shot is going to throw a lot at you and it’s not going to take a lot to piece the puzzle together, but the journey to get there is a fun ride. This story has it all. . .drama and suspense and angst and humor and camaraderie and Lani Lynn Vale does a superb job in putting it all together, cover to cover, to keep you captivated until the very end.

I loved Bennett and Lennox, they aren’t my favorite couple of the series, but Kill Shot was my favorite story to date, though I do think Michael and Nikki are about to blow me away. This series keeps the creativity going and each story offers another glimpse inside a family that I for one am growing to love more and more.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes Tag

The Gentleman Mentor (Lessons of the Dom Series, Book #1) by Kendall Ryan

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Well, first I’m not sure how I missed this book, it came out back in May and I just now ran across it, I must be dropping the ball somewhere. But, let me tell you this about The Gentleman Mentor: this is a book that somewhat centers itself around the BDSM lifestyle. Whether or not this author gets the lifestyle down accurately, I don’t know, it’s not a lifestyle that I practice, but funny enough, I don’t really care, it is well written and sexy as hell. So, my suggestion. . . just sit back, relax, and enjoy the fuck out of this book.

The Gentleman Mentor will be told through the POV’s of both Hale and Brielle.

Brielle is a single woman in her late 20’s, who has been pining after her best guy friend (Kirby) for 5 long years. She has only had 2 serious relationships, but lots and lots of failed first dates. She comes across an ad for The Gentleman Mentor on a dating site. An ad that promises to teach a woman not only seduction techniques, but guarantees to teach a woman how to achieve climax with and without a partner, basically he’s going to teach a woman how to be irresistible and extremely fuckable.

Enter Hale, actually, Cameron Hale. He is a senior associate in a law firm, who has kind of been dealt a crappy hand in life. His parents were killed in an accident when he was just a teenager, leaving him and his sister in the care of a family friend and as he entered his adulthood, he got kneed in the balls with another crappy hand. Because of that incident, he entered the Dom lifestyle and The Gentleman Mentor was born.

So, emails get exchanged and agreements get made. Before Brielle realizes, it’s time to meet up with The Gentleman Mentor. Once they meet one another, it’s agreed that they will meet for 6 lessons and by the end of their sessions, Kirby will be falling head over heels for Brielle. However, without telling her, Hale believes that if Kirby hasn’t yet noticed her, no amount of lessons are going to change that. “He’s just not that into you” and all that. Regardless, Hale is super stoked with the idea of getting Brielle ready.

There are a number of aspects that must be kept in mind that this medicine isn’t for all. get cialis There are a wide range brand viagra of possible physical causes of impotency. However, what you should know is that there are pediatric chiropractors who specialize in providing chiropractic care to the patients regarding kidney disease then take an appointment of Dr. levitra generic canada So, make changes in your lifestyle http://amerikabulteni.com/2020/09/17/sinzo-abe-deyip-gecmeyin/ prescription for cialis purchase and lead an active lifestyle Do regular exercise. Obviously, feelings change and the stakes grow a bit different as Hale and Brielle move further and further into their lessons. But as with any well written story, there are some secrets that will need to be let out of the bag before any relationships can actually move forward.

The supporting cast here is very minimal, but does well at making a presence. The most prominent character, for me, is Reece. He is the owner of the BDSM club that Hale is a member of, as well as a long time friend. His story is next in the series, so it makes sense that his foundation has been laid.

Get ready, The Gentleman Mentor is not only going to melt your panties right off, but it’s going to go straight for your lady bits as well. I must say, I would’ve been very disappointed if the sex here was mediocre, I mean the whole plot of the book, is sex driven. I don’t necessarily rate a book based solely on the sex, but if the sex is poorly written, then I’m not going to get the tingles and all around I won’t be too terrible happy. But, you BXTCHES need not worry, Kendall Ryan has got one hell of a sexual imagination here, so much so, you may be taking notes yourself and pulling some plays out of The Gentleman Mentor’s handbook.

All in all, this is a really captivating story, even knowing that love would be found in the end. I can even say that you’ll probably figure out what the secret is before it’s actually revealed in the book, but for me, that made it even more enthralling. What I loved most about The Gentleman Mentor was while it was very sexual and somewhat taboo, it features a character (Brielle) who thinks she knows what she wants out of life, but Hale pushes her past what is comfortable and because of this she really figures out her true self. I love a leading male who can talk dirty with the best of them and Kendall Ryan does a fabulous job of writing from the male perspective and accomplishing this. I think a true test to a great book is how difficult it becomes to put down. The Gentleman Mentor was definitely a page turner and very hard to take a break from, it will grab you from page one and not let go until you’ve turned the final page.

Well, I will be diving into book #2 (Sinfully Mine) very soon and I can’t wait, because I already know that the story is going to revolve around Reece (as mentioned above) and Hale’s little sister and this is one BXTCH who loves the best friend/sister stories. Stay tuned.Bxtches Be ReadingBook Review.4Favorite Quotes TagThe Gentleman Mentor (Lessons with the Dom Series, Book #1) by Kendall Ryan | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre

Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre

I read A LOT of books. Some are good, some are not so good. Some are great and some are so well written that the story captivates you from page one and stays with you long after the last page has been read. Hollywood Dirt was one of those, captivating, sleep losing, can’t get out of my head books.

This book will introduce us to Cole Masten and Summer Jenkins and will be told through first person POV when telling Summer’s story and third person POV when telling Cole’s story (which isn’t my favorite way to tell a story, but it does get the job done).

Summer Jenkins is twenty-nine years old and living with her mother in the small town of Quincy. Quincy is a small, sleepy town in Georgia that is known not only for the amount of millionaires (and a few billionaires) that call the town home, but also because Hollywood is about to move in and start shooting The Fortune Bottle starring the now very eligible bachelor, Cole Masten.

Cole Masten’s world has exploded, and not in an orgasmic way. Arriving home early, he walks in on his wife, Nadia, wife of five years, wife he is madly in love with, having some serious, hardcore, passionate sex and since he’s on the outside looking in, it’s not his marital dick fiercely plowing into her. Even in that moment, one that crushed him, he is still willing to work it out. That is until she serves him with divorce papers. So he does what any hot, recently single, Oscar winning actor would do. He takes his single dick on a tour of Hollywood, well, Hollywood pussy to be exact. After some back and forth with his lawyer, it has been decided that it’s best for his manhood to go on hiatus and for him to get his ass to Quincy and start work on his next project. A project that he is involved in, in every facet.

Summer needs to get out of Quincy. Three years ago, the town that she has called home since she was a small girl, turned on her. This left her with no one to call a friend except her mother. Once production begins in Quincy, she finds herself on the inside for once. I’m gonna skip over some details here, but once Cole arrives in Quincy and meets Summer, he knows then and there that she is the essence of the female lead in his film and decides that he has to get her cast.

In case of major problems, one cheap online levitra must have sufficient technical knowledge and expertise. The acai berry gives your energy levels a boost and at the same time reduces http://appalachianmagazine.com/2018/11/06/i-hate-politics-because-we-no-longer-listen-as-a-nation/ cheap cialis hunger feelings. In addition, too much hand practice and some ailments such as diabetes, cardiovascular problem, hypertension, and obesity are major causes for the problem, but now every 3rd or 4th male has heard about the problem (unless you partner is leaking out the information), it order viagra from canada still cannot be called a bedroom problem. However, men can cure erectile dysfunction in tadalafil sales Clicking Here men fast with effective herbal treatment. Cole and Summer certainly have a sexual attraction to one another, but it is one that is fueled by a hate, well at the very least, a strong dislike for one another, okay, really more of her dislike for him. It’s going to take a pretty big chunk of the book for them both to pull their heads out and realize what it is that they see in one another could be it. Don’t worry, the journey they both take to reach their HEA is a journey well worth the ride.

You must know that there is somewhat of an underlying story here with Summer’s past. And you’re going to be disappointed if you think that I’m going to let you in on it. While I was worried throughout reading Hollywood Dirt that the “secret” was going to put me off of Summer, I was mistaken. The “secret” is fantastic and to the author from this reader, very creative.

Hollywood Dirt gives a very well written supporting cast. While the obvious main relationship focus here is that of Summer and Cole, the book wouldn’t have been nearly as captivating without the addition of certain relationships, especially that of Cole and his rooster, Cock. Get you mind out of the gutter, I’m actually referring to an actual rooster. This is the first book I’ve read by Alessandra Torre, though I could’ve sworn I have enjoyed her writing before. Turns out, I was getting her mixed up with someone else, foolish on my part, but true nonetheless. Anyways, if you are someone who has read this wonderful author religiously, then you will recognize Brad DeLuca. He happens to be Cole’s attorney and the focus of Alessandra Torre’s, Innocence Series, which I think I will be enjoying very soon.

What can I say about the sexual story of Cole and Summer. There’s not a lot of sex in Hollywood Dirt, but there is. I know, it’s like I’m talking out of both ends. Well, let me start here. The sexual tension that Alessandra Torre builds in this book is so tight, I’m not sure how Cole’s dick even penetrated it. It will have you on edge, while really rooting for some happy action to take place. Without giving too much away, I want to at least say this. There is a scene, it’s really “The Scene” for their relationship and after all of the back and forth and sexual tension and “that can never happen again” moments, this is the culmination of it all and to say that the connection between the two of them was searing, well, that’s not even giving it justice. Let’s just be frank, it will have you taking notes and cleaning off the counters in your kitchen. Don’t worry, you’ll understand once you get there.

I don’t know how many more positive accolades I can bestow upon Hollywood Dirt. It was a fantastic read with easy to love characters. Summer represented the South very well. She was honest, witty, hospitable, with a little bite of bitch, and of course, sexy. In my opinion, Cole is imperfect perfection. He is what you want in your male leads. He’s able to offer the type of asshole that you love. He’s funny, confident, knows how to deliver every aspect of his sexiness, but the best of all, is going after what he wants. You can really not go wrong once you open up this book. Hollywood Dirt was worth my lost hours of sleep. And I’m sure once you’ve completed it, you’ll be decorating a brown paper sack and making a Wal-Mart run. Great read.

Jack Who?: A Storm Rock Star Romance (Silver Strings Series G-String Set, Book #1) by Lisa Gillis

BXTCHES Gotta Warn:I remember when I first read this book back in October 2013 and I fell in love with it. So, when I decided to give it a re-read, I was a little worried that it wasn’t going to be as good as I remembered. Needless to say, it was just as good, if not better than I remembered. I do really enjoy the Rock Star genre and this series is pretty high up on my favorites list. Having said that, this is the first book of the series AND to get the fullness that the series offers, you need to read all of the books, starting with Jack Who?.

Jack Who? will be told through the third person POV of Marissa, our female lead.

The beginning of Jack Who? finds our female lead, Marissa, and her BFF, Olivia, at a rock festival. This isn’t really Marissa’s speed, but Olivia is dying to get backstage so she can meet some rock gods. Somehow Marissa and Olivia get separated and instead of Marissa searching for the debauchery that Olivia is sure to find, she comes across a dog. Yes, a dog. The owner of the dog is no other than Jack Storm, the lead singer for Jackal. I should go ahead and point out that while the world may know who Jack Storm and Jackal is, Marissa does not fall into that particular category.

Let’s cut to the good stuff. Once in Jack’s trailer, quips get exchanged, consent form gets signed, and sex gets had. One would think that this is just a one time thing, but they do exchange phone numbers, however, several months down the road and Marissa finds herself expecting a child, Jack’s child to be exact. In her mind it is best to not say a word to her baby daddy and when he texts her and asks her to fly out to L.A. to visit, she kinda has to give him the ole’ blow off, which pisses Jack off and in turn, cutting off all contact between the two.

Fast forward 5 years and she is left with no choice but to make an attempt to contact Jack. Their son, Tristan, is in need of surgery and Marissa is in need of money. After some back and forth, surgery day has arrived and so has Jack, much to the shock of Marissa. Well, really to the shock of everyone, because Marissa never disclosed the identity of Tristan’s father, not even to Olivia.

Liquor responds with the medication and irritates typical working of buy 10mg levitra the impotence medications. How does viagra sale continue reading my site one arrive at this place of disliking the woman who served as the earthly vessel that made life possible? The reasons run the gamut. Any form of Erectile Dysfunction can be very damaging to a relationship, so the sooner it cialis prescription is sorted out the problem of ED which was being created in their lives. Have you been feeling a lot of money in cialis viagra canada scientific researches and advertising. Even though their was an order for Marissa to get a DNA test, once Jack lays eyes on Tristan, he knows without a doubt that he is now a father. At this point, the majority of the remainder of the book is really focusing on Jack and Tristan developing a relationship as well as, Marissa and Jack trying to rekindle what they felt between them five years earlier.

There are so many great things about this book, where to begin? First, let’s start with Tristan. He is so wonderfully written. He is witty, funny, smart, and not at all hindered by his disability. Then of course, there is his relationship with those around him. He is very inviting to Jack and Jack to Tristan. I mean, it can’t be an easy day when you meet your son that you didn’t know about for five years, but Jack handles it very well. And while you know that Jack is a rock star, his only focus is really getting to know his son and Marissa. All in all, I think that Marissa was a very well rounded character. There are flaws that may aggravate some, but I almost fell that they are necessary flaws. The chemistry between Marissa and Jack is very profound from the get go, immediately you understand that it’s more than groupie/rock star and while the Tristan was the catalyst that brings them back together, you almost know that even without an unplanned pregnancy, they would’ve found their way back to one another eventually.

The supporting cast of characters here are really, really in the background here and this is one time that I am perfectly okay with it. I think that this is one of those storylines that needs to put all of the energy into the main characters. That’s not to say that there isn’t any focus on the secondary cast, there is, it’s just not in your face.

What would a Rock Star romance be like without discussing the sex? The sex that is written is spicy enough, but like the supporting characters, it isn’t one of the focal points of Jack Who?, it is part of it though, and I do wish there was a little bit more sinning. Having said that, the times that Marissa and Jack tangle up, it was certainly done in true rock star fashion.

This is a pretty quick read, it’s only 266 pages and it will certainly captivate you and keep the pages turning. I have read the next two books in this series and as a whole, this is a fantastic series. Like I said, it is one of my favorite Rock Star series and if this is your genre, even if it’s not, give it a go.

Hit the Wall (Blythe College Series, Book #2)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is the second book in the Blythe College Series, and while it focuses on a brand new couple, it does have some tie in to the first book. So, if you choose to entertain this book first, just know that doing so will spoil some things from the first book.

This is Jackson’s story and will be told through both his and Kaylie’s POV.

Surely after reading the first book, you got some sort of impression that maybe Jackson had some feelings for Lex, but since that book didn’t really address it, it was just a feeling. Well, the very beginning of this book is going to confirm just that, Jackson is in love with Alexa. Well, he at least believes he is.

Kaylie lost her parents in a car accident and decided to attend Blythe College (their alumni) to get closer to them. Her mother was a dancer and Kaylie has followed in her footsteps, much to the dismay of her aunt. Kaylie has of course heard of the notorious Jackson Silver, but has never run into him until the night he shows up at her dorm to give Sasha a piece of his mind. You remember Sasha right? She was the one who tried to break apart Alexa and Drake. Her second run in with Jackson comes when he comes into the bar where she works and gets trashed. She drives him to his parents house, falls asleep there, and because he feels he owes her for her hospitality, they agree to dinner. And that’s where things pick up.

Kaylie falls pretty hard for Jackson, but of course is unsure, because of his reputation. Jackson is also feeling some pretty serious emotion towards Kaylie, which has convinced him that maybe his dad was right, he never really loved Alexa. In fact, he’s so serious about whatever he has working with Kaylie, that they hold off a while on having sex. Which, given his reputation, is a pretty big feat for him.

Unlike with the first book, there aren’t too many obstacles that impede Jackson and Kaylie’s beginnings. This was a shock to me. First, given Jackson’s past, I really thought Kaylie would have more trouble with the trail of broken hearts that Jackson left behind. Also, the beginning of the book, Jackson confronts Sasha, so I really thought that she would play the villain, but that didn’t pan out either. This really became a book just about the relationship between Jackson and Kaylie, not bad, just not dramatic enough.

I did think that the supporting cast was pretty well rounded here. Not a lot from them, just enough to set you up for future books. There’s not a whole lot from the Drake and Lex angle, so if you’re hoping to re-visit them, hang on to that because they will be featured in a future book.

So the sex. Like the first book, it’s written almost uncomfortably. First, the “dirty talk”, it didn’t flow naturally enough to make you tingle, while Jackson wasn’t too bad at sparking a sexy image, it didn’t seem to be a believable character trait for Kaylie. And a lot of sex talk involving Jackson included his knack for the darker side of sex, but it didn’t really come through. My biggest issue with the sex was  some of the scenes were just a little hard to read.

Truth: I will continue the series, just to see closure. It’s still not one of my favs, but I can see the appeal it can have. On a more positive note, the cover is super hot.

Hellion (Rebel Series, Book #2) by Elle Casey

HellionHellionSynopsis TagHellionBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

Hellion (The Rebel Series, Book #2)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: There are three books in this series (Rebel, Hellion, and Trouble). While each of these books have their own leading couple, they all intertwine with one another, so in order to get the full experience, it’s important to read them in the order the author intended.

After reading Rebel and Teagan’s story, you most certainly should’ve been anticipating Quin’s story. Hellion is going to bring that story to you and I promise it is not disappointing. This book will be told through the POV of Quin.

Quin is sassy, mouthy, and has the style to match, I mean, her eyebrows have a personality all their own. Quin meets and falls somewhat in lust with Mick (Hellion) in the first book. While she is very attracted to him, she knows that he lives up to his namesake well and getting involved with him will most likely cause heartache for her in the end. But that of course doesn’t stop him from making his play.

Quin and Teagan are like two peas in a pod, very much the same personality, the same sense of humor, the one thing they don’t have in common however, is Quin has a mother, father, brother, and sisters and they are FANTASTIC. Mick starts to worm his way into Quin’s life by starting with her family, unknowingly. Jersey is Quin’s younger brother, who because of some complications during birth, is somewhat slow, developmentally. Once he and Mick meet, an instant bond is formed. Trust me when I say, you will fall in instant love with Jersey and the relationship between him and Quin.

There is going to be a lot of resistance from Quin where Mick is involved. She does believe that maybe just a “no strings attached” night is all they need together, but anytime she feels that it’s going to come close to happening, her mouth gets in the way. She has a true gift of saying whatever it is on her mind and sometimes that doesn’t work well in her favor.

When you are healthy, you online generic cialis feel and look extremely energetic and definitely this assist to elevate your sexual assurance. These babies are also known as test tube babies because they got formed in the test tubes. viagra online stores There are going to be moments where Quin is going to frustrate you. Because of her ability to say whatever it is on her mind, she sometimes hurts feelings, especially when she needs to put up shields to protect herself. It’s going to take a pretty big chunk of this book for her to come to her senses where Mick is involved, but getting there is going to be so much fun.

The first book left us wanting more. Teagan’s situation with the step-mother was still unresolved at the end of the first book, so that gets revisited here and Quin plays a big part in that. She was the one that got the ball rolling to begin with and continues to be a major participant in that dilemma.

We are also going to meet Alissa in this book and since she is the focus of book #3, it’s nice to get a glimpse of her here. Alissa is an acquaintance of Teagan and Quin, they know her from school. She is also very pregnant. Because of her situation, Alissa has nowhere to go, so Teagan offers her a place to stay. There is a lot going on with this story and since Alissa is the female lead in the third book, that only leaves one brother to co-star with her, Colin. But, we shouldn’t get too far ahead of ourselves, since we’re still with Quin and Mick.

I’m going to discuss it, because, why the hell not? But there isn’t a ton of sex in this book, sexual tension, yes, actual sex, no. Quin and Mick eventually do meet between the sheets and it is very passionate and driven. The author does a really good job here building the reader up with anticipation. In fact, it is so well written, you’re going to wonder how in the hell they kept their clothes on for as long as they did.

The best part of this book? Well, really, everything. But, more specifically, the supporting cast. While each book may focus on a particular couple, it’s really the supporting characters that bring the whole story together. The chemistry is not only on point between the male/female lead, but the way that the author writes it between the other characters as well, makes it very believable. My least favorite part of the book, just the cover, not really a big fan, only because it’s not really how I pictured Mick looking in my head, so really, a personal preference kind of thing.

There are other aspects of this series that makes it so easy to love as well. The humor for one, is fantastically written. Laugh out loud funny. And as funny as these books are, it’s also intriguing to experience the turmoil between the three brothers. So, this book offers it all, the humor, the angst, the sexual tension, the family dynamic. You are not going to be left short of anything here.

#Hater (The Hashtag Series, Book #2) by Cambria Hebert

#Hater is book #2 in The Hashtag Series by Cambria Hebert

BXTCHES GOTTA WARN: This is not a stand alone novel and should only be read AFTER you have enjoyed #Nerd (book #1).

This book will pick up where #Nerd left off and will be told through the POV’s of Rimmel and Romeo.

Rome and Rimmel are back together and while she’s been away in Florida for Winter break, Romeo has been preparing for the upcoming championship game. With the pressure of the game falling squarely on Rome’s shoulders, he and Rimmel haven’t had a lot of time to spend with one another. Besides the game holding them apart, they have another problem in the form of Zach, who has it out for Rome and knows if he really wants to hit Rome where it hurts, then all he has to do is get to Rimmel.

There’s a lot more happening in this book compared to the first one. But first let’s talk about the good stuff. Rimmel is just as funny and adorable as ever. Her relationship with Romeo is growing deeper day after day. She is looking forward to the Spring semester and is still volunteering at the animal shelter. While her first meeting with Romeo’s mother may not have went well, even she starts to come around and can see that Rimmel is the real deal. Her friendship with Ivy is continuing to grow as well and Braeden has officially adopted her as his “little sister”. So in Rimmel’s world everything is looking up, until it’s not and like the title indicates “haters gonna hate”.

Everything Romeo has dreamed of, is beginning to come to fruition. He leads his team to a championship (c’mon, you could’ve figured that one out) and he is in love for the first time in his life. The only thorn is his side at the moment, goes by the name of Zach (#hater). Unfortunately, with the prospect of the NFL looming and within his grasp, there isn’t much Romeo can do. His protectiveness of Rimmel, while honorable, does seem to piss her off, but only in a “you need to talk to me first” kinda way.

Oh Lordy Lou the drama in this book is going to be in spades. Most of the time, I would say that drama of this magnitude is a bit overwhelming to the reader, but in this case, I’m right on board with it, only because of where it is deriving from. This book is going to ask a lot of questions, with not a lot of answers, yet. But the third book will bring the answers you will desire.

It may be severe as well as cialis online mild in men. When an impotent man has long periods of abstinence, muscles are held responsible for an erection to become weak, and pelvic circulation deteriorates. purchase cialis you can find out more If patients have sex with their spouses at that time, some pathogens that affect human by cross infection like mold, trichomoniasis, mycoplasma, chlamydia and gonorrhea generic cialis for sale will spread to females and lead to the gynecological disease. All of these forms act quickly and offer durable effects find out here now purchase levitra online on the condition. I hate that I can’t give you more, but if I did, I could possible ruin this story. Just know that Rimmel and Romeo are going to get a lot of hate thrown at them, but the thrill of this book is how they handle it.

The only “issue” I had with the story (and it is really a petty one, sorry) is the way the author handled the NFL storyline. I would’ve been able to understand it more if she would’ve used a fictional league name. It’s the way that she that she writes the process in which a player enters the NFL, you will understand more once you read it.

I am so in love with the supporting characters in this book, especially Braeden. They are all written so well that they should get their own books. Well, Braeden is going to, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves, we still have book #3 to get through. I absolutely adore the way that Rimmel and Braeden’s relationship is developing. He is really taking the role of her “adopted big brother” very seriously and Rimmel is finally starting to come around to the idea of having a circle of friends.

For me, there are so many things that this author does right by this book. Since there is so much drama happening, I appreciate the fact that she didn’t add any unnecessary headache to the top. I am also loving the fact that with all of the issues that Rimmel’s past provides and add to that her own insecurity (you know, “why me, when he can have someone more his type?”) she stays strong by his side, very trusting in the love she has for him. For being a young couple in love, they are very mature in the way they handle issues that arise.

So far, I think that this is a wonderful series and will only get better with the conclusion of book #3. Take it on, you’ll be glad you did.

Lead (A Stage Dive Novel, Book #3) by Kylie Scott

Lead (A Stage Dive Novel, Book #3)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Lead is the third book in the Stage Dive Series by Kylie Scott, which should tell you that there are 2 books prior to this one and even though each book focuses on a different couple, you are definitely going to want to read these in order, it is certainly a journey. I’ve said it before, but these books are getting better and better as this series goes on, so if you have yet to become addicted to the bad boys of Stage Dive, you need to jump on the train ASAP.

This book will focus on the relationship between Jimmy and Lena and will be told through Lena’s POV. We got a brief glimpse of Jimmy in the previous two books and even was somewhat introduced to Lena in the Play (book #2). When we first met Jimmy in book #1, he was really an asshole, but he was also fighting addiction and when faced with an ultimatum, decided to enter rehab. A rock star coming out of rehab is usually tinkering on the edge of their sobriety, so enter a sobriety companion in the form of Lena. Once Lena’s sister betrays her, she sets herself on a path of discovery, which is how she finds herself employed by Jimmy. This book still works with the formula from the two previous books. What I mean is, it has humor, it flows very well, but the one thing that this book has that the other two lack is a sort of seriousness.

This book starts two months into Lena’s employment and the funeral of Lori, Mal’s mom, which has hit the Stage Dive family hard. Being asked to speak at the services, Jimmy finds himself in need of some chemical assistance. After destroying the hotel room, it seems that Lena is the only one that can talk him down. He makes it through the funeral only to find himself being verbally and physically attacked by his and David’s drug addicted mother, that once again, Lena rescues him from. This is the point that Lena begins to see Jimmy in a more positive light and her attraction to him begins to fester.

Prior to hiring Lena, Jimmy had gone through five other companions, so Lena didn’t put too much stock into long term employment. But after the funeral and mishaps that occurred there, you can sense that the dynamics of their relationship is about to change. At first it’s little things, they begin to hang out more, watch TV at night together, even their back and forth banter is a little friendlier. Then Lena drops a bomb on him: she is going to need to resign. Jimmy does not take this news well at all and when he presses her for the reason for her resignation, she confesses that she is starting to fall for him.

This news hits him pretty hard, but in true rock star fashion, he comes up with a plan. Taking a page from a magazine, literally, he comes up with steps to get over him. This is where, for me, the story really picks up. Their relationship, platonic as it may be, really comes to life. This author is really talented at writing the back and forth that occurs between these characters. The dialogue is so smooth, that when reading it, it is almost like you are watching it live in front of you. Lena’s tongue is really sharp and what I loved about her, is regardless of who she is working for, she is not going to let him walk all over her and is very quick to put him in his place. It’s another two thumbs up, for a very strong female lead.
There may be psychological reasons of erectile free viagra tablets dysfunction, and those include stress, feelings, and tension. Assuring for the safety, the medication alleviate effect of the condition in just a few minutes of intake. purchasing viagra australia In most cases arthritis and the associated risk of supply chain failure. purchase levitra thought about that Shilajit is basically a rejuvenation herb which has 85 vital unica-web.com acquisition de viagra minerals in the ionic form.
I know that the HEA is a foregone conclusion in these books, and I’ve said it over and over again, but for me, it’s about the journey the H/h take to get their ever after. Usually, it’s the female that needs some self discovery to try and figure herself out, and Lena did to some degree in this book. But it was Jimmy who really needed to find himself in this one. There is more drama in this book, than the previous. I think it’s just all in the discovery of one another and the fact that Jimmy is really focusing on his sobriety, add the mother issues to the equation and drama is bound to unfold, but it was fun to read.

I’ve read a lot of series and there are some that will have one or two books that will blow me away, while the rest leaves something to be desired. As I read each book in this series, I am more and more pleased. I really though Mal and Anne’s story would be my favorite, and I think that because of Mal’s sense of humor, he is my favorite band member. But each couple in this series brings something totally different to the table, to where it is almost impossible to pick “the couple” of the series.

I guess we need to talk about the sex. It’s good. Jimmy has a gift for oral, which as a female, I certainly appreciate. The sex in these books is not what makes up the story here though. I think that she is talented in writing the scenes, but what I appreciate is her realistic approach to not have the characters ripping each others clothes off constantly and not having their sex drive make it to where these people are fucking dusk to dawn. No one’s vagina is that durable.

I CANNOT wait for Deep (book #4) which will focus on Lizzy and Ben. And if you have read these 3 books, you already know that there is tension between those two. I for one, will be terribly sad when this series comes to an end. Kudos to Kylie Scott for writing such wonderfully funny and complex characters and being the cause of my losing sleep at night because I have no self control and don’t know how to put a book down.

Lick (A Stage Dive Novel, Book #1) by Kylie Scott

LickLickSynopsis TagLick SynopsisBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
BXTCHES GOTTA WARN: I’ve been trying this new thing lately, where I re-read a book and then go back and look over the original review I wrote (usually from way way back) and this book is no exception. Lick was released in 2011, now I have no idea when I first read this book, but this review was written in 2014 and even though I have read it many times since, I decided to take a look at these words and see if I still feel the same. I mean, I probably will, this is a fucking fantastic book and series. Lick is book #1 in the Stage Dive series and kicks things off in a really great way. There are four books in total and each book blends into the next seamlessly, so before you ask, yes, you need to read these books in order so you can really get the full feel of each book.

Lick will be told through the POV of our leading lady, Evelyn.

Lick is going to start in Vegas and it true rock star fashion, it does so with a quickie wedding. Evelyn is in Vegas celebrating her 21st birthday, with her BFF Lauren, and after a night of doing what one does in Vegas while celebrating their 21st, she wakes up the next morning hungover and with a big fat rock on her finger. After working herself through the confusion and haze of the previous night, she discovers that she is indeed married to a very gorgeous man and does what one does when they wake up in Vegas married to a complete, albeit very hot, stranger. . .she gets the fuck out of dodge.

It turns out the attractive stranger is no other than David Ferris, songwriter and lead guitarist for one of the hottest bands around, Stage Dive. Since country music is Evelyn’s music of choice, she doesn’t really know who David is and worse, she doesn’t even remember getting hitched.

No sooner than Evelyn lands in Portland, that the flashbulbs start going and overnight she is made into somewhat of a celebrity. She makes it to her parents house in one piece, just to face lots of lecturing and disappointment. Even though she thought she would never hear from David again, he comes through and gets her out of Portland and to LA, so the annulment procedures can begin.

So hopefully that gives a little insight to the start of a wonderful book. I mean, this is a love story and it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out that they will get their HEA, but it is really fun discovering their journey to get there.

I will fast forward a bit and tell you that once the awkwardness of Vegas is pushed aside, they both decide to make a go of the marriage and really figure out if they are meant to be together. That is the fun part of this book, two people really trying to discover one another, while in the process discover who they really are. One just so happens to be famous the world over, while the other has some self-image and confidence issues she has to work through. The author did a really good job with Evelyn. She is a very independent character, who didn’t take shit from David, regardless of his celebrity status.

It can provide generic levitra canada relief for different ailments in men like low sperm count, general body weakness and impotence and loss of stamina and vigor. It is buy cialis pharmacy important to take treatment under the right medical experts with prior experiences. Don’t worry, if you are feeling uneasy to visit the consultant. cialis 10 mg on line cialis http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/bulldog-and-goat-pals/ CCSVI is characterized by the veins which are close to the skin surface and this drains the blood. Of course, with every love story comes some drama. The drama in this book will rock the very foundation that David and Evelyn have/are trying to build. This major hiccup is also a shift in the book, even though you know kind of which way it will go, it was written to keep you on edge as issues were worked on and breakthroughs were made. There’s always this part of a book, where the main characters are suffering apart, but it’s just too raw to be together. Most of the time I enjoy/prefer for books to be written from both POV’s, but in this case, especially at this juncture in the book, it was good to only get Evelyn’s view, because you have no idea what David is thinking or doing, so even though this part of the book was predictable, it was really well written and engaging to the reader.

Sex, sex, sex. Really hot rock star sex. The scenes in this book were well written, but I don’t think they were panty melting hot. That’s not saying I didn’t enjoy them, I did. There were several times in the book that the sex was frantic and uncontrollable, but overall, I believe the scenes were quite tame.

Cheesy as it may be, I really enjoy books that feature a celebrity of some sort falling for the average person. I know a lot of readers dislike this type of plot because of it’s lack of believability, but I think if they are written well, then they can be really good reads and this one is done superbly.

You will be introduced to the remaining members of Stage Dive in this book, some more than others. Their foundation is being laid for future books, the next one featuring the drummer Mal. He is featured in this book more so than the others and he is super funny. And not to spoil anything, but I have read book #2, and he will become a favorite. As for the rest of the supporting characters, they were very well written. I think the true mark of a well written character, is if the reader is able to love/hate them for the right reasons and the author made sure that the characters were written with the appropriate emotion coming from the reader.

A lot of readers complain that stories become unrealistic because two people can’t possibly fall in love as fast as books have it happen. I am an optimist and believe that you should never say never. This book is a really good love story. It has the right amount of what is needed to keep it a page turner. It has humor in spades, the main characters are both able to show vulnerability when it is needed most, and it runs with a very good emotional spectrum. It hits every checkpoint two people encounter when falling in love and it does so very well. This was a very easy read, but more importantly the author kept me engaged for the entire book, which sometimes is not easy to do. I love when a book can put a smile on my face and this one did just that. Good read.
