When you pull this masterpiece up on Amazon or Goodreads or wherever it is that you browse for your book boyfriends, one of the first things you will read is “A standalone novel” and then you may become giddy with excitement because you’re thinking that you can jump right into Lance and Poppy without first meeting Alex and Violet or Miller and Sunny or Randy and Lily and I’m here to educate you BXTCHES and tell you, if you go that route, you’re gonna be making a mistake. First, this is a phenomenal ensemble cast and series, which you would be missing out on if you dove headfirst into book #6. Also, Pucked Off gives us Lance and Poppy, and we first met them in Pucked Up (book #2), so it’s just much easier if you were to go in order, trust a BXTCH, I wouldn’t let you down. Let’s get started.

Pucked Off will be told through the POV’s of both Lance and Poppy.

Let’s back the puck up a bit and review. It’s been a while since I acquainted myself with Pucked (book #1), so it’s difficult for me to remember if we actually met Lance then. I will say, if we did, it was brief. But, I know with certainty that Lance was brought to us in Miller and Sunny’s story. It was also where we briefly meet Poppy. If you’re still scratching your head, in the beginning of Pucked Up, after boozing it up at a bar, Miller, Randy, and Lance went back to Lance’s place to continue the party, and tagging along were some ladies. Included in the that group was Poppy. If you’re still a little foggy, she is the one who wiped off the dick that was drawn on Miller’s forehead.

I haven’t yet read any reviews on Pucked Off, but from what I have seen on social media thus far, some are upset that it’s Poppy getting the go here. Maybe upset is not the right term, I just think lots of fans were expecting Tash. But here’s some truth BXTCHES, when we meet Poppy (while she is scrubbing a cock off of a forehead) we learn that she actually knew Lance when she was younger. When we learn that fun bit of information, that was my clue that when we got to Lance, it was going to be Lance + Poppy. But, I can understand where a lot of you were wanting/hoping to get more insight into Lance and Tash. Well, your wish will be granted, just maybe not the way that you had anticipated.

Poppy first met Lance when she was just a kid and he transferred to her school. Her first encounters with him came when he would tug a bit on her ponytail, both gingers, solidarity and all that jazz. Fast forward a bit and Poppy’s older sister is dragging her to a party, one that she was entirely too young to be at. She soon finds herself in a circle and before she realizes it, she is about to enter Seven Minutes in Heaven with. . .Lance. Not wanting to embarrass her (or him, I suppose), Lance waits till the last minute or so to lay one on her. So, at twelve years old (she did lie and say she was fourteen, teetering on crossing over to fifteen) she receives her first kiss from Lance Romero and she has never forgotten it. When she finds herself at his house all those years later, she is pretty devastated that he doesn’t remember her at all and is even more upset when he takes her friend to his room.

Lance’s backstory is fucked up and that’s me being polite. When our introduction to Lance began, we knew he was in some sort of a relationship with Tash, the trainer for the team. They then make an appearance at the engagement party of Alex and Violet, causing quite a scene, and we began to salivate, wanting to know what the fuck was going on between them-what exactly was their story? So, going into this book, here is what we already know-we know that Lance and Tash were off and on and we know that Tash lost her job with the team because of the relationship between her and Lance, we were also led to believe (somewhat) that Lance’s reputation is one that enjoys many women and enjoys the run of the mill puck bunny and maybe that was why the relationship between him and Tash was strained at best. But other than a small side story, we weren’t given too much more, every cameo raised more questions than it did in providing answers.

There isn’t too much I can tell you regarding Lance and Tash. . .I will say that you get some answers quite early on and if your image of Lance was one of dislike, it will change, quickly. And if your vision of Tash was one of hope, well hells bells, that’s gonna change too.

It is possible that a order cheap viagra https://unica-web.com/ENGLISH/2015/presidents-letter-february.html particular product and its advantages as well as side effects. The try for more cialis canada online relaxing penis helps in the flow of blood into the penile structure. Back to Poppy. Poppy is a massage therapist who happens to get scheduled to work on Lance, which is how they reconnect. Well, it’s how Poppy reconnects with Lance, not Lance with her, considering he has no recollection of the girl with the red ponytail who he swapped spit with in a closet or the woman who was at his house just a year ago. And if you haven’t yet figured it out, that is how Lance and Poppy eventually become a Lance + Poppy.

There are so many different avenues that brings this story to fruition. Lance’s backstory, while fucked up, is heartbreaking. It is filled with pain, it is filled with regret, it is filled with anger, it is filled with doubt, it is filled with grief. . .it was painful enough to force a BXTCH to lay it down and take some deep breaths, but no worries-hope is on the horizon.

While I believe that this is a fantastic ensemble series, this particular book is more zeroed in on Lance and Poppy, which is probably why Helena Hunting puts it as a standalone (but still heed my warning). We do get visits from the ones we have already fallen in love with or at the very least get a “Where Are They Now” type of catch up. Other than Lance and Poppy, the other main character that brings relevance is Tash. You’re not gonna like her, she is written in the most bitchtacular way that you may get pretty pissed at yourself for ever thinking that a Lance/Tash story was even a possibility, but that just adds so much more to an already fantastic story-don’t ya think?

I could say that the sex in Pucked Off is panty drop worthy and it is, but this isn’t the same as what Alex and Violet have or the need that Randy and Lily have. . .don’t misunderstand me, it’s hot, it’s everything you would want and have come to expect with this series. The difference with Pucked Off versus the rest of this series is Lance. As hot as he is and regardless of the experience he brings to the bedroom, it’s more than just the fuck, it’s more than just the conquest. It’s much more about the unearthing of who Lance is and who Lance is when he is with Poppy. . .it’s almost carthartic. Don’t worry BXTCHES, you still may need to light one up after.

I have loved every single installment in this series. And with each new book, I think that there is no way I will love it the way I loved the previous book(s) and truthfully, I love each couple in this series in a different way, but for me personally, Randy and Lily, barely beating out the other ones, landed in the top spot. . .that is until Lance came along. While the other books gave us some serious laugh out loud humor, Pucked Off didn’t. There were funny moments for sure, but that’s not what it was about. This book came from a different part of Helena Huntings soul, it had to. . .the spectrum of emotions that this story covered had this BXTCH all over the place. I was happy, I was sad, I was angry, I was in love, I was ready to cut a bitch for real. My advice is to just hang on real tight, because Lance is going to take you down a bumpy road and from the looks at that fuck hot cover, you just know it’s gonna be a great journey.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingPucked Off (Pucked Series, Book #6) by Helena Hunting | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Technically, the books in this series could be read as stand-alones. I mean, if you come across the blurb for. . .say. . .book #2.5 (Fling) and think “it’s only 100 pages, I can knock this out in an hour”, then I suppose you can, but let me offer up this warning as well. Just in case this is the very first review of mine that you have brightened your day with, then you should know that I am usually the one who will tell you to read books in the order in which they were written. I mean, I understand why an author would indicate that a book could be read out of order and all by itself. I wouldn’t want to lose a sale either. So, let me explain to you why you might not need to read these books in order, but you should. Right gives us Everly and Sawyer’s story. Now, we meet Everly in Wrong (Sophie and Luke | book #1). She and Sophie work at the same coffee shop. It is within those pages that we learn of Everly’s super serious, somewhat creepy crush on her brother’s best friend, who happens to be a professor at the college where Everly attends. So, even though you are quite busy during that story falling in love with everything Sophie and Luke, there will be a part of you wondering where that stalking story is headed. We get the answer to that and much more in Right, but since the seeds were planted in Wrong, I am someone who thinks you should certainly start there. I really hope that makes a bit of sense to you BXTCHES. Let’s get this going.

Right will be told through Everly’s POV with the epilogue coming Straight Outta Sawyer.

I guess we should probably play a game of catch up right quick. Everly has been in love with Finn Camden (her brother’s best friend) ever since she was six years old and he caught her eye as she was stepping off of the school bus, decked out with a Strawberry Shortcake backpack and all. Okay, technically that information came from this book, not the last one. But it is during Wrong that we learn about Everly’s lifelong crush on Finn as well as the plan that she has worked out that and if all goes well will end with her being Mrs. Finn Camden.

Unfortunately for Everly, Finn does not share in the plan that would make Everly his wife and as much as he tries to drop hints, she ain’t picking them up. That is until Thanksgiving and Everly is forced to hitch a ride with Sawyer, Finn’s older brother.

Hopefully you got to know Everly in book #1, but in case you skipped it, you should know that her personality is the type that calls it like she sees it, she really doesn’t hold back or bite her tongue much. She quickly finds out however, that her and Sawyer Camden have that very same something in common. And Everly promptly finds out that someone with the inability to bite their tongue is not as cute as she once thought.

Sawyer is pretty persistent when it comes to forcing Everly into his train of thought. He even goes as far as hacking into her Facebook and changing her relationship status, which brings her lots of congratulations. . .from her mom all the way to Finn. I guess right here is a good place to tell you that Sawyer is super rich, like borderline billionaire, which is how he has the ability to hack into a Facebook account or I suppose that’s how he has the ability. Anyway, the motherfucker is super rich.

It doesn’t take long before Everly figures out that maybe her life plan never included Finn and that maybe, just maybe Sawyer is the one meant for her. And while Sawyer’s life may have brought him many women, once Everly caught his eye, those beautiful peepers never wandered.

Have no worries though if you’re dealing with your ailment in the most ideal way more viagra italy that could be available. According to their test at the FDA labs, sildenafil citrate contained medications are safe to get back the erection power. buy levitra Even though there was some drama in the first book, Right kicks it up a notch and unfortunately for you BXTCHES there is nothing about the drama that I can unveil. But, I will tell you this much. . .I am a sucker for some good drama, maybe it’s all those years watching Jerry and Jenny and Ricki and Oprah, who knows, but I love it, especially when it’s angsty and teeth grinding. But I love it even more when the character who was done wrong makes the one who was an asshole really work for redemption. It didn’t really happen that way in Right. Before you jump all up on my shit, I understood what the author was doing and why all was forgiven so quickly, I’m just sayin’ that I like a bit of struggle where the apology is concerned, I don’t like when the hands are washed and the bed is swiftly unmade.

The characters (leading and otherwise) bring everything that this series has to offer to life. I know that sounds kinda like a “well, duh” moment, I mean what else are they suppose to do, right? But, in some books/series, the focus is so spotlighted on the main characters, that sometimes the supporting cast is almost a second thought, but in this series, it seems that Jana Aston put just as much effort in creating a wonderful supporting cast as she did the main stars. Going into this book, I was worried how the dynamic was going to get played with the Everly/Finn obstacle. During Wrong, that particular relationship actually happening seemed a bit too big for Everly, but I wasn’t sure how it was going to get worked out in this story and even after we learn that Sawyer is the brother to Finn, I was a bit skeptical, but you BXTCHES have nothing to worry about, Jana Aston did it up Right (man, and she made it easy to make the play on some words). It is during Everly’s story that we meet Sandra-Sawyer’s assistant and the focus of the novella that follows Right. We also get the intro to Chloe. Chloe is Everly’s BFF and self-proclaimed accident waiting to date or dating accident, however you want to look at it. And if you think that you were going to get away and not hear from Sophie and Luke, well you would be Wrong (see!!).

Everly and Sawyer really know how to bring the fireworks to the bedroom. I wasn’t expecting anything less, but after reading Luke and Sophie, my expectations were a bit high, but those motherfuckers hit em’ all. I mean they hit that shit in the bedroom, in supply closets, in bathrooms. . .there is heat, there is some really awesome dirty talk, there is passion. . .it’s all there for the taking, you BXTCHES just gotta grab it.

So, next up is Sandra’s story. Sandra only gets a novella, but it’s pretty sufficient in laying her cards out. Since I’m all about hanging the proverbial cock right in front of you BXTCHES, Sandra is Sawyer’s assistant and it takes Everly all of about 2 minutes of being around her and Gabe (Sawyer’s CFO) for her to realize that there is some serious electricity happening. . .now she just has to make them both aware of it. Remember Samantha Baker in Sixteen Candles filling out the sex questionnaire and Jake Ryan ending up with it? Just go with that.

My favorite things about falling in love with a series like Wrong is the escape. The thrill of not doing anything but walking side by side with your favs. The feeling of digging in so deep, that you are almost there. That’s what Jana Aston is so good at, the captivation, the departure from reality, the imagination, the love. I cannot wait to see what comes from her fingertips next.Bxtches Be ReadingRight (Wrong Series, Book #2) by Jana Aston | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Maverick (Satan’s Fury MC Series, Book #1) by L. Wilder

Wilder | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comSynopsis TagMaverick (Satan's Fury MC Series, Book #1) by L. Wilder | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book ReviewsBXTCHES Gotta Warn: First, I need to tell you BXTCHES this. . .apparently the Satan’s Fury MC Series comes after the Devil Chaser’s MC Series (I believe there is a theme here), I did not know this. In fact, I just so happened to stumble upon this series. I was actually looking at book #5, but decided to start at the beginning. Even though the blurb(s) on Amazon do state that each book can be read as a stand alone, I believe that with MC series, it’s important to read the books within the series in order in which they were written. That ends my rant, let’s get going with Maverick.

Maverick will be told through the POV’s of both Henley and Maverick.

We kick this bad boy off with a well. . .bad boy. Maverick finds himself in a very heartbreaking situation. His former girlfriend, Hailey, who due to drugs, was taken far too early and Maverick is left with not only the grief and guilt that her death brings, but in a weird turn of events, he finds out he has a son, John Warren, that Hailey kept from him. Now, there is more to this part of the story that I’m leaving out, this is just the gist of it. As much as Maverick loves his son, he knows that there is no way that he can raise a child in this lifestyle that not only consumes him, but puts lives in danger. Maverick then decides that his love for John Warren is much greater than any selfishness or possessiveness he may have when it comes to his son. . .that’s when he makes the very agonizing decision to allow someone else to raise John Warren. That someone being Hailey’s sister Lily and her man, Goliath.

Henley is just a girl trying to get through college. Nothing too exciting going on in her life, she lives with her sister Cassidy, who is her link to the MC. Cassidy is a bartender at the MC clubhouse. Henley’s very humdrum life gets flipped on it’s head when she witnesses the murder of a club member. Of course it would be too easy, and a bit stale, if Henley was able to get out unrecognized. . .oh no, that BXTCH got noticed, which is how she finds herself under the protection of a very angsty Maverick.

Henley is the perfect yin to Maverick’s yang, they just don’t know it yet. While Henley certainly takes notice of the darkness that seems to constantly consume Maverick, it takes an attempted escape and a road trip for either of them to begin to admit that their yin and yang are actually being pulled together.

With this being a MC book, there is indeed “MC action” within the pages. The member that was murdered, the one that changed Henley’s life, was Skidrow. Skidrow was the Sergeant At Arms for the Satan’s Fury MC, his death left that position open, that would be how Maverick found himself reluctantly agreeing to step in to that role, which is how he also finds himself responsible for Henley’s safety. Since we’re talking about Skidrow, this is probably where I should mention Summer Storm, book #.5 in this series, yes-you read that right, book #.5 OR book #1/2, however you want to interpret it. It’s a novella (only 100 pages), but it is where you meet Skidrow and his old lady, Dallas. I can’t really go into any more detail, because I have yet to read that particular book, which I know kinds goes against what I said above, but in my defense, I was really just looking for book #1 in this series, not #1/2, so this BXTCH was truly clueless.
It is based on natural order discount viagra herbal extracts without side effects. The widespread problem of erectile dysfunction is one of the common conditions in order viagra appalachianmagazine.com men that affect a sexual relationship.
I’ve said it before and even though I’m sure it’s driving you cray-cray. . .I’m gonna give you my explanation once again. I think it’s so important to take the order in which an author wrote a MC series, serious. I know that they throw down the typical “this can be read as a stand alone” line, but in a MC series, seeds get planted and roots begin to form, to the point that the reader really becomes a part of the MC. Clearly, the subsequent books in this series are going to feature members that we begin to meet in previous books (I have no real ideal if that makes sense). . .okay, let’s give an example. In Maverick, we meet Cotton, Stitch, & Smokey (just to name a few) and while we may just get several glimpses, we begin to see how when all of the members come together, they form their own family. . .albeit a gun-running, crime-committing, somewhat violent one. . .but a family nonetheless. Along with getting to know the MC members, we also meet Cassidy, Henley’s sister and BFF, Skidrow’s old lady, Dallas and their two kiddos, Dusty and Katie. Now, I suspect we really got to know them in Summer Storm and just followed up with them in Maverick, but since I haven’t cracked that story open, I wouldn’t know.

Like I mentioned earlier, before Satan’s Fury MC was the Devil Chaser’s MC series. Once again, I haven’t read that series (I feel like I’m totally letting you BXTCHES down) but if you’re interested in more of Lily and Goliath (Hailey’s sister and the ones that Maverick trusted his son to), their story is told in Ignite (from the Devil Chaser’s MC series). It should also be said that Maverick’s brother, Gavin, has moved to Tennessee to prospect with the Devil Chaser’s and there is some thick shit happening with Maverick and Gavin.

With any great MC, comes pretty rockin’ sex and Maverick delivers. While it may take a bit to get Maverick and Henley between the sheets, the story is not lacking anywhere else, so you’re not missing out. My only “complaint” (and that’s a stretch of a word) is it wasn’t edgy enough. I like my MC fucks to be rough and dirty. It was almost as if they went from sexual tension to making love, skipping all of the “let me throw you up against a shower wall and devour your pussy” kind of sex, but that’s just a BXTCHES opinion, no worries. . .it was all still hot.

Stitch is up next in the Satan’s Fury MC Series and even though they say to never judge a book by its cover. . .this one is pretty fucking tempting. BXTCHES Gotta Warn: There aren’t many warnings I need to offer here. But, how fucking fantastic is that cover. Now, I know it’s a stock image (because it’s also the cover of another book in my arsenal), but who really cares when the man candy looks like that. Now to the important stuff. I do need to tell you that there is abuse within the pages of Marek, so if that is something that may cause a trigger for you, well. . .you may want to keep that in mind before turning the first page. Marek is book #1 in the Knights Corruption MC Series and while this is going to sound super crazy, Marek kinda leaves us on a cliffhanger, but doesn’t. . .okay, I know that doesn’t make a lick of sense, so I will just get to that tidbit a little later. Let’s get on with Marek and Sully.

Marek will be told through the POV’s of both Marek and Sully. Let’s start with Sully.

Sully is the daughter of Psych, who is the President of the Savage Reapers MC, so in most MC books she would be hailed as the Princess, right? Not so fast, Psych certainly lives up to his name, so much so, Sully is doing good to just exist. At the young age of fourteen, her dad allows another club member, Vex, to take Sully as his own, and this is after years and years of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of her father. Vex isn’t claiming her in an Alpha, “you’re my woman and I’m going to worship you” way, it’s more of a “you’re my woman, I will take what I want, when I want from you and if I find the need to beat the fuck out of you, I will”, so definitely not the usual love story, but no worries, Marek will soon enter and become a very unlikely hero for Sully.

The hate between the Knights Corruption MC and the Savage Reapers MC runs deep and runs red. Marek is the President of the Knights Corruption MC and while the latest raid from the DEA is reason enough for them to have hell rain down on the Savage Reapers, the attack on a brother is the incident that sends the club into full on retaliation mode.

When the Knights enter the clubhouse of the Reapers, of course their plan is to take out as many members as their weapons will allow, but when they encounter Sully behind a locked door, terrified and crouched down in a corner, Marek knows that he has hit the jackpot. I mean, you wanna hit a MC right in the dick, then take one of their own and claim them as yours. What Marek wasn’t expecting is the response he has to the woman who belongs to the enemy.

While Sully belongs to a club who has and does horrible things to any and everyone, herself included, she has been told her entire life that the Knights make the Reapers look like angels. So when she is taken by Marek and crew, she truly believes that she may very well see the end of her life at the hands of the ones she is supposed to hate. . .so imagine her surprise when she’s not witnessing any sacrificial orgies, or any non-consensual sex (which is really the only kind she is used to), or any women being manhandled. . .but instead she witnesses a pretty laid back MC who likes to have a good time, who enjoys sticking their dicks in a ready and WILLING body and also a club who believes in solidarity. Imagine her further surprise when she finds herself falling for the enemy himself.

Now, there are several things that Sully knows at this point. She is starting to trust the Knights, so she really believes that they are beginning to see her as a part of them, she is also beginning to fall for Marek and feels that he really will protect her from any and all threats, but she also knows that if the Reapers get her back in their grasp, she is as good as dead. So for Marek, it’s making sure that Sully is protected at all costs and for Sully it’s about becoming acclimated to a new club, a new family, and a new life. . .all without letting her guard down too much.

Online pharmacies, however, levitra for sale online make this process much easier because you can get your prescription online and order your drugs easily and conveniently. Just a couple of helpful things to know at this point and trust that I’m not spoiling anything for you BXTCHES. While still in the hands of her own club, Sully’s father meets with a member of the cartel and in some sort of a twisted “thank you”, he offers Sully up to this devil incarnate and yes, it’s as bad as you’re imagining. Also, while Marek doesn’t need any additional reasons to make his face the last that the Reapers see, that desire is driven home with even more force when he not only sees the scars that mark Sully’s beautiful body but when she shares the stories of how they got there. Hang on to the cartel asshole, I’m gonna come back to that in a hot second.

Every time I sit down to write about the latest MC book that I have devoured, I always say the same thing. In the really good ones, the foundation for the entire cast starts to get poured right out of the gate and Marek is no different. In Marek, we really get a great introduction to what is going to be Stone and Addie. Addie gets thrown into the webs of the MC because her uncle is a member and also because she is their medical “go to”, unfortunately for Stone, Addie is a brother’s family member, which in turn makes her off-limits, so in Marek we start to witness the tension between the two of them and Addie becomes one of Sully’s only friends, so it’s pretty easy to start to fall for Addie here in book #1. We do get introductions to the entire MC, but I suspect the further we dive into this series, the more we will start to really get to know each member.

It’s hard to know how the sexual chemistry between Marek and Sully is going to play out, given Sully’s past circumstances, but the author here did a really good job of balancing that thin line between managing Sully’s triggers and her sexual need for Marek and Marek’s sexual need for her, including the hunger he has for being rough in between the sheets. Sexual tension is the theme for more than half of the book, and the sexual tension is thick and ripe between the two of them and all it really does is tease until we get to the real deal. There were a few times that Marek frustrated me when it came to the sexual activities of he and Sully, but I think it was important to the meat of the story to have this big bad biker get angry, but then realize the error of his ways. When their good parts finally do get a proper introduction, it does not disappoint and given the abuse that Sully has suffered through, it was refreshing to witness her own her sexuality, instead of having to witness it be forcefully taken from her.

Earlier I said that Marek ends on a cliffhanger, but doesn’t. Let me explain further, again, not really giving away any spoilers here. The Knights are in the process of separating themselves from the cartel, yes the same one with the monster who rapes Sully. Marek has no knowledge of this horrific act. . .so the non-existent cliffhanger is when that same cartel member shows up for a meeting at the Knights clubhouse. Of course, I have no idea how this is going to play out in Stone (book #2), but I can’t imagine it going unaddressed.

Can’t wait to dive into Stone and see what he and Addie have to bring to this series. If their story up to this point is any indication, then we are all in for a real treat.Bxtches Be ReadingBook Review.4Favorite Quotes TagMarek (Knights Corruption MC Series, Book #1) by S. BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Before I issue any warning, I would like to just close my eyes and say a quick “thank you” to Penelope Ward for that fuck hot cover. That cover envelops everything that is Damien. . .well done, Penelope, well done. Okay, this is certainly a stand-alone novel that requires ZERO pre-requisite reading. However, I do feel obligated to tell you BXTCHES the following. Back in September 2014, Penelope Ward released Step-Brother Dearest (find my thoughts, here) and our book boyfriend in those pages was Elec. Our leading lady in Neighbor Dearest is Chelsea. . .keep following me, I’m getting there. In Elec’s book, we met Chelsea when Elec arrived with her on his arm, for the funeral of his “father” (read the book, you’ll understand the quotes). I’m not sure if you’ve read Step-Brother Dearest. . .it’s not necessary for this particular book. . .however, I recommend it. . .I recommend it so hard, and I should go ahead and tell you, because you will find out before you even turn the first page, Elec is Chelsea’s ex, and this book picks up (in the prologue) several weeks after Elec returns from his father’s funeral. Now that you have been adequately warned, let’s get on with it.

Neighbor Dearest will be told solely through the POV of Chelsea.

Like I said, the prologue kicks in several weeks after Elec returns home from his father’s funeral and it doesn’t take much for Chelsea to realize that things just aren’t right. Sex is non-existent, his kisses hold no passion, it’s just all off. So, while it was no surprise that Elec ends things, it doesn’t make the blow any less painful. Not only did Elec and Chelsea live together, but they also worked together, so while Elec heads back east to be with Greta, Chelsea packs up and moves away from the physical space she and Elec shared, however, she is unable to pack up the emotional space that resides in her heart.

When Chelsea’s younger sister, Jade, comes to visit, she gets an eyeful of Chelsea’s very hot, but also very much of an asshole, neighbor Damien. Chelsea doesn’t know much about Damien other than the fact that he is spray painting a mural on the side of the building and he has two large dogs that believe the morning time is the best time for incessant barking. After Jade tries to convince Chelsea that maybe she should bake the hot neighbor in the beanie some muffins, while offering up her very own muffin, Chelsea soon finds out another quirky trait of the brooding artist. . .his hearing is fucking outstanding.

Chelsea is having a very difficult time getting over Elec. I mean, she believed that he was the one, you know-her eternal. In order to guide her into making some sense of her personal life, Chelsea has taken up phone therapy once a week, unbeknownst to Chelsea, there is a hole in one of her walls, one of the walls that she happens to share with her neighbor, Damien. And wouldn’t you know, the hottie has heard way more of her personal life than any neighbor, asshole or not, should. The silver lining. . .Damien gives her advice that she needs to hear and not a dime has to come out of her account to get it.

A little info on Damien. He lost his father at a pretty early age (him and his father) to a heart attack. I should probably clarify, he was young when he lost his father and his father was young when he lost his life. That death affected his family (him, a brother, Tyler, and his mom) in very different ways. His mom closed herself off and suffers (present tense) from severe bouts of depression. His brother Tyler is an actor, getting along great and Damien actually made a shit ton of money in the technology industry and invested it in an apartment building. . .the very one that he and Chelsea reside in. He figures that it’s important to live each day to the fullest, because tomorrow is never promised.

Chelsea and Damien made a tiny breakthrough with the “free therapy” offered via a hole in the wall, that progress takes a giant leap forward when Damien’s dogs attack a “bacon marinated” Chelsea and even more strides are made later when Chelsea almost burns down her apartment. Don’t worry, Damien saves the day.

Perhaps somewhere there a magic pill, however, as a rule, and the effect of these “magic”, not real, and the words of any coach should be perceived critically, remembering that each one who standing up on the benefits of sports nutrition today become a very lucrative business, however, as the manufacturer of Kamagra, to create a similar drug, both therapeutically and biologically to order generic viagra, containing the same active. The capsules are made of latest formula meant for the men’s impotence with cialis online http://robertrobb.com/2018/09/ lowest cost. Just by visiting your doctor for a check-up can instantly put your mind at ease allowing you to once female viagra india again be healthy and happy. Left unchecked, the symptoms can become debilitating, making it impossible to simply levitra uk their web-site “surrender”. After sharing a meal with Damien, Chelsea finds out that the “double D’s” (Damien’s dogs) are his dogs with his ex, Jenna and they actually share custody. She also discovers that Damien broke it off with the ex because they each envisioned a different future, hers included marriage and kids, his didn’t. That little nugget of information tells Chelsea that Damien may be fun to look at and hang with, but it won’t go any further than that. And that is how their friendship begins.

And talk about a friendship, Damien even sets up a dating profile for Chelsea so she can get back in the game and it doesn’t take long for Chelsea to go days without a single thought being devoted to Elec, so progress. There’s not much more I can reveal, but it’s obvious to everyone that the sexual tension between Chelsea and Damien is blindingly thick and one begins to wonder “why?”. Why is Damien being so aloof when it comes to his feelings for Chelsea? I think as the reader, you’re gonna figure it out, but the highway of turmoil that both Chelsea and Damien travel down is worth the trip, just make sure to buckle up.

As far as the supporting cast in Neighbor Dearest, they’re present, very well written, and certainly important to Chelsea and Damien’s story, but Chelsea and Damien are the focus. Which I know is obvious, but what I mean is the supporting characters are there without pulling focus away, I hope that makes sense. The important thing (I think anyhow) is it seems that Penelope Ward is laying down some roots for maybe future books that involve some of the ones that we sorta crush on in this book. Hint: this BXTCH is hopin’ for a little Tyler + Jade = the next “Dearest” book. Please and thank you in advance.

I have read five books by Penelope Ward (two of those are collaborations with Vi Keeland) and one thing I can be certain of when I turn on the ole’ e-reader is this. . .when her characters make the decision to get down to the business, you will not be disappointed and Neighbor Dearest was no exception. First, the sexual tension between Chelsea and Damien was enough to have a BXTCH fanning herself, take that up a notch by removing the clothes and this non-smoker (that’s me), may just need to light one up, because SHEE-IT, that woman knows how to choreograph some naked dancing. Again, thank you, Penelope Ward.

There is absolutely nothing I can find wrong with this book, I did think that Chelsea was hung up a bit too long on Elec, but it maybe was important for her end game with Damien, you know “I thought I had the best, until I actually HAD the best” type of thing. Even when Damien was putting on a perfect display of assholeness, you are going to love him. Everything was done right, from the heartache to the heartbreak. . .from the laughter to the tears. . .from the love to the hate. . .from Damien to Chelsea to the double D’s to Jenna. . .it all came together the way a perfect story does. Again, thank you, Penelope Ward.

Maybe you didn’t dive into Stepbrother Dearest because that type of relationship gives you a bit of the “no way”, even though it’s not really what you think it is, make sense? But, Neighbor Dearest is going to have you up all night reading, it will have you sneaking in a couple of pages waiting in the pick-up line at the elementary school, it may even have you “hushing” everyone around you because “MOMMA IS TRYING TO READ!!”, but however you find yourself losing sleep, it will be worth it. BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I’m not proud of the fact that this book came out in November (2015) and even though I read it immediately, it has taken me this long to write up my review. I know, I know, I should be ashamed and trust a BXTCH, I am. Which is why I gave it a re-read and am attempting to rectify this situation STAT! There’s not much you need to know before you dive into Willow Tate, except. . .this is not a typical Harper book and for those who love Ms. Sloan, know exactly what it is that I’m talking about. For those of you who have yet to dive into one of her glorious escapes, shame on you, but this book is as good as a place to start as any. She really brings it with Perfectly Imperfect.

Perfectly Imperfect is told through the POV’s of both Willow and Kane, enjoy.

I guess we should probably kick this off with Willow Tate. When we meet Willow, she is on her way to visit her divorce lawyers so she can finalize the details of her divorce. She was married to Brad, but once she caught him in bed with her sister, Ivy, that marriage was as good as dead, even though it was dying a very slow death prior to the infidelity. I probably should backtrack you a bit.

We actually meet Willow years prior at a funeral. The funeral of Willow’s mother to be exact. Willow was involved in the same accident that took the life of the one person on Earth who loved her unconditionally and now she is left with her step-father (Dominic) and her half-sister (Ivy), neither of which really love Willow, much less want Willow around, but because of the tragic circumstances, they are forced to have her in their lives.

Now, back to our current situation. Willow’s marriage to Brad and her situation with Dominic and Ivy has beaten her self-esteem down to almost non-existent. While at the office of her attorney, she takes a bit of a misstep and finds herself on the ground. What she never expected, was to be helped up by none other than Kane Masters.

Kane Masters is the man in Hollywood. Not much goes by in his life that isn’t reported in the tabloids, including his on-again off-again relationship with Mia Post and the speculation of who her baby daddy might be.

So generic cialis online as to attain satisfactory result, it is advised to consult and expert who can solve your problems. Accurate reports help in arriving at the right treatment for any health circumstances that viagra purchase could be causing or else aggravation your erectile dysfunction. sildenafil levitra Pick one thing and do it well. The conclusion was that a healthy diet and replacing the missing hormone only partially reversed the defective biological clock cheap cialis from india and that inherent defects in the newborn infant. We fast forward several months and find Willow doing a bit better post divorce, with the help of her two BFF’s (Eddie and Kirby) she is working on loving what she sees when she looks in the mirror, but it is a work in progress. Oh and I should probably mention that Willow works as Dominic’s assistant, so it’s safe to say that sometimes she may take three steps forward, just to take four steps back, because of her asshole step-dad and her bitch sister. An altercation in Dominic’s office finds Willow running smack into Kane Masters again and even though she is able to escape, Kane now knows he cannot let her get far away from him again.

Coincidentally, or not, depending on how you look at it. Kane is directing his very first feature film, Impenetrable, which is a movie that Willow can seriously relate to. Kane uses his movie to get Kirby to Georgia and requesting that Kirby bring Willow along as her assistant. And that is where everything really takes off.

There are times in some books that some characters are written more as fill-ins (I believe anyway), which is not necessarily a bad thing, but every character presented in Perfectly Imperfect adds certain elements that makes this book. . .Perfect. I do think that Willow and Kane really could’ve carried this story on their own, without having to have a lot of focus on a supporting cast, but doing that wouldn’t have made this story close to being as great as it is. Willow is a character who needs the “support”, literally, until she can find the strength to stand on her own and this cast of characters, not only bring strength, but add humor and a sense of family, hell, they are her family.

While this may not be a typical Harper novel, that BXTCH still brings it in the bedroom. Even though Kane isn’t what her typical Alpha brings, he still has a certain type of “bedroom dominance” that gets the loins working. The most beautiful thing about the lovin’ in Perfectly Imperfect is the transformation of Willow. And anyone that reads this book, that has any type of “body issues” will understand how difficult it is to truly reveal yourself in an intimate situation and to witness it from Willow is a thing of beauty.

There’s a lot happening in Perfectly Imperfect, I only scratched the surface. There are times when you just wish that whoever is sitting next to you was reading right along with you, just so  you have someone to high-five, because Willow certainly gives us moments that may have you reverting back to the 90’s and shouting “You go girl!”. This is an exquisite story of a girl really learning to find her worth and the ability to see that her beauty is just as great on the outside as it is on the inside. Harper still gives us what we crave. . .humor. . .drama. . .a strong, feisty female lead. . .”alpha”ness. . .she just uses a bit of a different platform to get it to us.

As cliché as it sounds, there is nothing Imperfect about this book. It is a story that gives us all something we can relate to, while body issues seem to be what plague Willow, we all have something in us at sometime in our life that made us think that maybe we just aren’t good enough and Willow coming through that to land on the other side not only better, but scoring the hotness that is Kane Masters, makes us all shed some tears while doing a “hell yeah” fist bump.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagPerfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Roomhate by Penelope Ward

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is a stand-alone novel, so no fear of a cliffhanger here. I’ve only read several books by Penelope Ward (I’m not sure what the fuck is wrong with me, I clearly need more from this woman), so my warning is this. . .get ready to get sucked in. It doesn’t matter what I’m in the middle of doing, once I start one of her books, I can’t stop and Roomhate was no different. So, what I’m trying to say is this. . .you need to plan accordingly when cracking this one open, because tasks/chores/getting the “business”, will probably be put on hold. You’ve been warned.

Roomhate will be told through the POV of Amelia.

The beginning of Roomhate finds Amelia leaving an attorney’s office. She just found out that her late nana has left her, her summer beach house. Well, she actually left it to Amelia and Justin. Ahhh. . .Justin, Amelia’s childhood BFF, crush, confidant, love. But, it’s been a decade since she’s last laid eyes on him and was okay if another decade past with many miles between them, but nana had to go and shake things up. I’m sure there is a reason for everything, nana’s are usually all knowing, you know.

Being a teacher, Amelia gets the summer’s off and her year has kind of been shitty. She caught her boyfriend cheating on her and the topping on that craptastic cake. . .the cheating bastard is actually moving in with the whore, ahem. . .the other woman. Needless to say, the beginning of the summer couldn’t get to her quick enough, and she finally finds herself at her new summer residence. With no signs or news from Justin, Amelia is really settling into her summer life. That is until she returns home one day and finds a leggy beauty in her kitchen. Turns out, the hottie belongs to Justin. So much for fun and relaxation.

Ten years may have passed since they’ve last seen one another, but the hate that Justin has for Amelia is still going strong and he is not holding it back. It should be no secret that Amelia fell in love with the teenage version of Justin and the years may have aged him, but they did a fine job doing so and his presence is having a huge effect on Amelia. It doesn’t help the situation when Amelia can very clearly hear Justin ensuring that his girlfriend, Jade, is fully satisfied.

As much as Amelia wants to hate Jade, she can’t, the woman is just too damn sweet. So much so, they even get a summer job waiting tables together. As the summer moves by, the hate from Justin does begin to dissipate a small bit. It does help when Jade is called back to New York for work (she is a Broadway actress), what I mean is. . .it just seems that Justin doesn’t have to “hate” Amelia as much when Jade isn’t around.

In fact the effects of these remedies generic sample viagra for premature ejaculation are unlimited. However, each system in the body must be in perfect condition to levitra sales perform their respective roles, actions and functions. Here, some of the vital viagra prescription uk points have been mentioned that must be followed during the treatment: Take this medicine as it is prescribed by the physician. Generally, it is not required to http://amerikabulteni.com/2012/03/29/dunya-zenginlerinin-gozdesi-new-york-ve-londra/ viagra 20mg cipla undergo a surgery. Emotions and feelings do begin to get muddled. One saving grace is Justin doesn’t favor anyone who cheats. He came from a philandering home and holds strong to his moral code. . .if you’re going to cheat, break it off first. Life has a very funny way of figuring things out for you when you are maybe having a difficult time doing so. Well, life does just that for Amelia. Now, I wish I could go into greater detail, it’s just the exploration of two people who come together after years apart, is just too beautiful to ruin.

Roomhate is broken up into two parts (and I can’t really say much about part two without being a spoiler). The first part is the understanding and laying down a certain foundation. It even flashes back to Amelia and Justin’s childhood, in order to piece the puzzle together. Part two finishes the story (of course), and certainly gives a different version of Justin. One that is much more “book boyfriend” material. The first part of Roomhate, presents Justin as more as an unforgiving asshole, but once the two parts merge, the reader certainly has a better understanding behind Justin’s attitude.

There’s not a lot of supporting cast in Roomhate. Of course, there is Jade, which I’m glad Penelope Ward made likable. She could’ve easily been a jealous bitch and it would’ve made perfect sense, but I liked that her and Amelia were friends. There are other characters that kind of fill in the gaps, but Roomhate is really a book about two people, so there isn’t a necessity for other characters to bring it all together.

Sex is inevitable and the sex in Roomhate is pretty scorching. What really brings the vibe to “dropping panty” status. . .is Justin. He is sex perfection in every sense of the idea. From rubbing one out when he thinks he’s alone, to the dexterity in his fingers (and tongue) to his dirty and raunchy vocabulary, his ability to curl the toes and light the “after” cigarette was pretty spot on. And, look at that cover, surely that gets you ready.

My only “issues” with Roomhate (and they’re not detrimental) is I wish and longed for. . .Justin’s POV. I think with a story like this, one that involves years of history between the characters, it really helps to get inside the heads of both characters AND Amelia wasn’t as tough or secure as I wanted her to be, but I think being able to get Justin’s POV would’ve helped with my feelings towards her. She wasn’t a wimp, it’s just I think I needed a little more fierceness from her.

All in all, I loved Roomhate. Funny thing, I started to read the sample, then something (I’m sure one of my offspring) pulled me away, so I never finished the sample. I bought it because I knew the price was going to go up and I wanted to catch it before that happened. I didn’t start it right away because I was in the middle of another book (probably several). So, one day, I just decided to dive in and once that happened, I couldn’t put it down. So, putting my “issues” aside, this was a really terrific read, so much so, I need to invest in more Penelope Ward. Great job.Bxtches Be ReadingBook Review.4Favorite Quotes TagRoomhate by Penelope Ward | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Reaper’s Fall (Reaper’s MC Series, Book #5) by Joanna Wylde

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: By now, you should know what it is I’m going to say. Yes, you need to have already fell in love with books 1-4 in this series BEFORE Painter moves in. In every book, foundations are laid. . .foundations that give us glimpses into subsequent books. Reaper’s Fall in no different. I do believe you can enjoy this book all by itself, but I also think you will be doing yourself a huge disservice if you choose to go down that route. You BXTCHES have been warned.

We get to enjoy Reaper’s Fall through the POV’s of both Painter and Melanie.

We got to meet Painter from the very beginning of this series, when Em was all caught up in him. We were introduced to Melanie in Picnic and London’s story, she was Jessica’s BFF and the one that London took in when Melanie’s mom took off. While there was an attraction between Painter and Melanie in Reaper’s StandPainter certainly realized that she was a little on the jailbait side and stayed away. That didn’t mean he didn’t think about her though. After his arrest (again this happened in book #4, Reaper’s Stand) and while away at prison, Painter and Melanie become pen pals. He continues to fall for her and she has already fallen for the biker outlaw.

Reaper’s Fall starts “current day” and back tracks. So we learn immediately that there is some sort of romantic history between Painter and Melanie because the subject of their daughter gets brought up during an altercation between Painter and Melanie’s date. The back track portion is what takes us through their very tumultuous journey.

When Painter is released from prison, one would think that a hook-up between him and Melanie would be a foregone conclusion. However, Painter thinks that the best thing for the both of them is if he stays away and Melanie is receiving zero support from Jessica. Think back to Reaper’s Stand and you’ll remember Jessica in a sexual triangle with Painter and another member of the club, and while Painter may have saved Jessica’s life, she is not his number one fan.
Chiropractors know that a strong core is essential for a man to face proper erections. icks.org buy bulk viagra Goji berry needs to be eaten fresh if possible but since there is a big time confidence crushing where it crushes the self-esteem, confidence and entire family of a man. cheap viagra icks.org This is because one pill of either levitra 20mg canada, or it’s generic Tadalafil, enables a man to maintain an erection for up to 36-hours. There could be other reasons cialis tadalafil generic as well.
So, after some back and forth and some avoidance, Painter and Melanie decide to just be friends. Needless to say, the friendship thing doesn’t last long and before we know it, they are taking their relationship between the sheets. Club business takes Painter out of town for weeks at a time and when he proves that club life will always take precedence over his relationship with Melanie, Melanie decides that she has had enough and ends things. Oh. . .and she is of course prego when this occurs.

Once again, the thing (one of many) that I adore about MC novels is the camaraderie that surrounds the cast. While I think it sometimes sucks that we don’t get to re-visit some of the characters we previously fell in love with or they aren’t making very lengthy cameos, Reaper’s Fall gives us just enough. With Painter, we get the intense drama that surrounds a MC, with Melanie we get the “girl side”, we get to watch her relationship with Jessica go from that of two teens to that of two women, we get to watch her develop a relationship with Em and Kit. That relationship alone is worth the book, those two are fucking hilarious. I adore how the feel of family just flows through the entirety of this book. Job well done.

Thank you Ms. Wylde, you sure know how to curl a BXTCHES toes, bet you thought you’d never hear that, huh? Our boy Painter is really masterful at giving it to Melanie. There’s some serious hate sex outdoors, there’s body painting sex, there’s even some redecorating sex that has some thinking a murder took place, not just the pussy kind. They really cover the spectrum, head to toe, wall to wall. If you didn’t fall for Painter prior to the deep dick, you will have after.

There you have it. Joanna Wylde has done it once again. She sucks you in and really forces you to say glued to the story unfolding before you while convincing you to fall in love with someone who you previously thought of as an asshole. That’s right, Painter is going to weasel his cocky little self right into your heart. As with all of her heroines, she gives us another fiercely independent spirit in Melanie. If you haven’t given the Reaper’s a piece of yourself, you should dive in right away. Don’t worry, this BXTCH would never steer you wrong.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagReaper's Fall (Reaper's MC Series, Book #5) by Joanna Wylde | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Pucked Over (The Pucked Series, Book #3) by Helena Hunting

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: When you go to “one-click” this book, and trust a BXTCH, you will, it actually doesn’t say anything about Pucked Over being a stand-alone novel. And I am here to reiterate to you, that it is NOT a stand-alone novel. Here’s the deal, hopefully by now you have read Pucked Up, which is the second book in this series. In that book we were introduced to the beginnings of Randy and Lily, a foundation of sorts was laid and Pucked Over is the building on that foundation. So, please do this series justice and read these books in the order in which the author wrote them and I’m quite sure intended. Each book seems to add to the ensemble”bility” (I understand that’s not a word, just go with it) of this series, which is turning out to be fantastic! So, read on BXTCHES!

In Pucked Over we’re going to be able to get in the heads of both Lily and Randy, as it is told through both POV’s.

Pucked Over is going to pick up at the charity hockey game that Miller and company put together in Pucked Up. At this point, Lily has not really had anything to do with Randy, other than in her fantasies and her stress level is certainly up knowing that she is going to run into him at this game. Well to say they run into each other is an understatement. Once again caught in a bathroom, Randy enjoys a feast of sorts that leaves Lily pissed, but wanting more.

Randy “Balls” Ballistic is dying to get more of Lily. He doesn’t do relationships, but is always looking for a bit of fun, and Lily is his kind of fun. After giving it a lot of thought and with a little encouragement from the girls, Lily decides that Randy would be the perfect rebound from Benji. You remember the dickface boyfriend who called Lily a bitch right in front of Randy, which then prompted Lily to stick her tongue down Randy’s throat? Yeah, him and what better way to get over an asshole than with a hot as balls hockey player, right? So, the rules are understood. They will have fun until it is no longer fun and if feelings get involved, it is over. Seems pretty simple, but is it really ever that easy?

Without giving away too much, here are some things you really need to understand about our hot couple. Lily comes from a single parent home. She was the result of a one night stand between her mother and her hockey player father. Because of this, her mother has black balled all hockey players regardless of their character. Also, her and her mother are not very financially stable, which requires Lily to work like crazy. Oh, and she is also a figure skater, well she was a figure skater, she now gives lessons. Now, as far as Randy is concerned, his uneasiness towards relationships can be contributed to his father, who was also a hockey player. However, he was also a hockey player who indulged in luxury of puck bunnies, ignoring the wife and kids he had at home. Being compared to his father, he feels that he will also take on his dad’s philandering ways and he refuses to do that to anyone. So, instead, he dates and as soon as it begins to get serious, he ends it. A girl who’s looking for a rebound and a guy who likes to have fun, sounds like a match made in heaven.

I fell in love with this series after the first book, Pucked and it has continued to pull me in with each addition. It’s now getting more and more difficult for me to pick which couple I have a hard on for the most. I did say in my review for Pucked Up, that I fell for Miller and Sunny just a bit more than Alex and Violet. Then along comes Randy and Lily and I’m not sure what to think or to pick any longer.

Well, let’s talk about the rest of the cast. Rest assured they are back and funnier than ever. There’s almost a story within a story in Pucked Over. We all know that Alex and Violet are now engaged and with the pressure from the mom’s, Violet is nearing panic attacks whenever the pending nuptials are brought up. The one thing that Violet has allowed is an engagement party, which turns out to be a very entertaining event. I feel like Violet just gets funnier and funnier as the series progresses and you are not going to be disappointed with her here, she is so funny/inappropriate that she is beginning to deserve herself another book. Miller and Sunny are in the beginning stages of their relationship and are as cute as all get out with their love for one another. Lance will also make some appearances and I’m hoping he is the focus of the next book, although I don’t know if I want Natasha (the trainer) to be his love interest of the girl who removed the dick from Miller’s face to be his focus, I know she was very minor in the grand scheme, I just feel that her story was significant. This series has a great ensemble who all add so much to the hilarity of each book and I love that the further into the series I seem to get, the more the ensemble not only grows in size, but grows emotionally as well.

Considering Pucked Over is a book about friends with benefits, it’s fitting that the sex here is off the wall or against it, whatever. Helena Hunting knows how to get right to the business and she knows how to set that business on fire. The sex in Pucked Over is by far the best in the series. I’m not sure if it’s because of the nature of the story or if Randy is just so fucking hot, refer to the cover for reference. Don’t worry, BXTCHES, it will have your toes curling over and over and over and over.

Once again, a book that I could not put down, which is not doing much to add to my running of “Mother of the Year”, but I’d rather get Pucked anyway. This series really has it all. The right amount of angst, mixed with humor, mixed with sex, sex, sex and you add in hockey, where can you go wrong. It provides the perfect escape from reality, which face it, we all need from time to time. The Pucked series is turning out to be one of my favorites and I cannot wait for the next installment. On a side note to Helena Hunting: I think I’m going to need a whole book that is focused on the wedding of Alex and Violet. I don’t think I’ll be satisfied to see it as part of a story within a story. I know it’s not all about me, but throw a BXTCH a bone, please and thank you.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagPucked Over (Pucked Series, Book #3) by Helena Hunting | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Pucked Up (The Pucked Series, Book #2) by Helena Hunting

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: When you go to “one-click” this book (you will, trust), it’s going to say “STANDALONE ROMANTIC COMEDY”. The romantic comedy part is spot on, it’s the standalone part that I wish to discuss with you BXTCHES today. Normally, if I feel that a book, that happens to be part of a series, can be read as a standalone, I will share that with you. This book cannot, let me enlighten you. This book is going to feature Miller (Buck), who happens to be the step-brother to Violet, who happens to be the focus of the first book, Pucked. Now, Violet and Buck have a chemistry that you do not want to miss any of, and that chemistry goes back to the first book. I know, I know, that sounds like it’s not a good enough reason, again, trust a BXTCH. 2 The other half of Pucked Up is Sunny, who happens to be Alex Waters’ sister, who happens to be the other half of Pucked. You get how this kinda comes around full circle? So, in order to understand the issues that are instantly between Buck and Alex, not to mention the references to Pucked that are scattered all throughout this book, it’s easier to just read book #1 first. It won’t be a chore, the book is fan-fucking-tablous! Trust.

Pucked Up will be told SOLELY through Miller’s (Buck) POV. **In Pucked, we were introduced to Buck Butterson, whose real name is Miller. Sunny refers to him as Miller in this book, so that is how I’m going to refer to him. Cool?

When we left Miller behind in Pucked, we knew he was beginning to get somewhat involved with Sunny (Alex’s sister). Of course, at first, it was hard to determine whether he was just working Sunny to get back at Alex (for Violet) or if Miller is truly interested in pursuing his chances with Sunny. We learn almost from go in Pucked Up, which way he’s headed and he is actually falling for Sunny, for real.

The other thing that Miller learns pretty early on. . .his past is truly a BXTCH and is coming back with a vengeance to haunt him. The main culprit is going to be social media and unfortunately for him, he can’t control how pictures with bunnies/fans get spun. Also unfortunately for him, is the fact that Alex and Lily (Sunny’s BFF) are not Team Miller, so every time a unsavory picture shows up of Miller on social media, it adds more fuel to their hate fire and Sunny is a bit inexperienced and allowing others to dictate how she should feel, which most of the time seems to equal disaster for Miller.

A couple of things we learn about Miller in Pucked Up. . .first, he’s dyslexic. Which affects his ability to do the simple things people do everyday, like text. It’s also something he doesn’t discuss much and not a whole lot of people know about. He’s also very private about his philanthropic ways. The reason I mention both of those things is because they become an important part of dissecting Miller.

The main chunk of this story is Miller and Sunny figuring out a way to navigate the beginnings of a relationship with all of the scrutiny that is going to come with it because of who Miller is, which is a professional hockey player (just in case you decided to be a little rebel and not read the first book or maybe you’re not good with word association and wasn’t able to gather that from the title of the book). Now, I’m sure it would be difficult enough if it was just Miller the hockey player, but it’s Miller the “hockey player manwhore” who loves his hockey hookers. It’s also Miller who lives/works in Chicago and Sunny who is based in Canada. It’s having a brother and a BFF who isn’t even willing to allow the word chance to enter their vocabulary. It’s friends who are more interested in partying, which is having the wrong effect on your reputation. So, there is a lot of factors that are determined to see to it that Miller + Sunny ≠ HEA.

The supporting characters in Pucked Up deliver. I was so happy that Violet is featured often. I LOVED her so much in Pucked and the relationship between her and Miller is a bit more developed in Pucked Up, you certainly can feel the love they have for one another, and none of the humor is lost between them. We’re also going to be introduced (he did get a mention in book #1) to Randy “Balls” Ballistic, which is good, since he is the basis for book #3. This story of Miller and Sunny was fantastic, but the whole of the story is so wonderful because the cast of characters that Helena Hunting creates are so amazing, it’s too easy to play the imaginary movie in your head as you read. And just in case you thought that Alex’s MC wasn’t going to make an appearance. . .he does, well it’s the Superhero MC that actually does, but both great nonetheless.

I swear, one day when I’m getting the business, I’m going to see if I can run a play by play in my head, just to see how sexy and realistic it would sound if it were on paper. When you read a lot and you happen to read a lot of sexy times in books, it sometimes goes the way of “What? Is what they’re doing even possible or am I not reading it right?” OR it could go “Who is having sex with this author? Clearly no one because the imagination is failing this scene” OR, most of the time my thoughts are “Shit, I need to get a pen and pad and get down to taking notes or maybe I can just have my husband read and see if this is doable”. No worries, Helena Hunting is either getting the business GOOOOOD or her imagination hasn’t failed her a bit. If it’s the latter, she is going to make someone very happy one day. Even though this is a comedy, the sex is still on fire. Even when it’s going wrong, it’s pretty tingly. You shall not be disappointed, yes that was a command, sometimes the BXTCH can be bossy.

I love Alex and Violet. I liked Buck (he was Buck in Pucked) in the first book, I just didn’t love him, so I was somewhat afraid that it would carry into this book. And here’s the truth, while I had every intention of reading this book, the catalyst for speeding up Pucked Up was actually Pucked Over, the third book of this series. I recently received the ARC for that book and I didn’t think it was fair to the author or readers if I didn’t read this one first and I am so glad I made that decision. I absolutely fell in love with Miller in this book, maybe even more than Alex. Because this book is solely from the POV of Miller, it allows you to embrace all of him and all of him is wonderfully written. This is really becoming one of my favorite sports series and I don’t even watch hockey, crazy, right? Maybe I should become a fan. Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagPucked Up (Pucked Series, Book #2) by Helena Hunting | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com
