Passion and Ponies (Chocoholics Series, Book #2)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: If you are a real Tara Sivec fan, you are going to love this book. As an avid reader, sometimes I feel that the same ole’ formula isn’t going to work all of the time. Holy hell, this is not the case here. This book is just as funny and endearing as any in either Chocolate series. So brace yourself and get ready to fall in love and maybe even re-visit your childhood love for My Little Pony. While I believe that you can enjoy this book without reading book #1, I just don’t know why you would deprive yourself of that FANTASTIC book. Why do that to Gavin, who the book is focused on? So you can read this book without reading that book, but DON’T!

So, we met Ava and Tyler in book #1 of this series, but just in case you need it, here is a quick recap. Ava is the middle daughter of Jim and Liz and Tyler is Gavin’s best friend from college. This book will focus on their relationship and is told from both POV’s. If you remember from the first book, Ava and Tyler started to sleep together, casually. Ava loves what Tyler can do in the bedroom, it’s just out of the bedroom that makes her hate him. We will learn early on in this book that Tyler has a love for all things My Little Pony and is what is called a “Brony”, this is a real thing, I checked. He has also started his dream job, giving tours at Seduction and Snacks, but has run into a little snafu. His birth certificate is not legit. His parents then inform him that his father is not his father and his biological father is either the donor from the sperm bank or someone from the foursome that his mother indulged in years ago. This storyline is actually wonderful and even though it’s obvious by the foreshadowing, it is still pretty fantastic.

Ava is having her own issues and her feelings for Tyler are becoming more and more complicated. She HATES working at the family business, but Liz feels that she has put a lot of work into having a business for her family to actually work at. This is where we will see a different side to Liz. Ava has a fashion blog that with Jenny’s help is doing very well. Liz thinks that the blog is just a hobby and is not supportive at all, she is actually very negative about it. While is was difficult reading Liz in a negative way, it was also pretty real. Her feelings were such MOM feelings that it was hard not to relate a bit. Because of her dislike of the family business, Ava feels like somewhat of a black sheep and that along with her foreign feelings for Tyler and she is a mess.

You will fall absolutely in love with Tyler. In the first book, he was very funny, but that was the only dimension we got from him. In this book, he’s not only funny, but so charming and lovable. The story with him trying to locate his dad, makes him vulnerable and you see a much softer side to him. It will bring a smile to your face to read their feelings for one another unfold and witness how they deal with those feelings, not well, by the way.
Stress, heart disorder, depression and high mastercard generic viagra icks.org cholesterol are few common causes of erection dysfunction in men. There are a lot of different aspects to this book that will take you on a fun journey. Besides the relationship between Ava and Tyler, there is the relationship between Ava and Liz, we see the dynamic of sisterhood with Ava, Charlotte, and Molly. Tyler’s parents are not in the book a lot, but when they are their relationship with Tyler is awesome. And as weird as it is, Tyler + My Little Pony = Happiness. Even though the “adults” from the Chocolate Lover Series are in this book, the focus really is on the next generation. I just want to say that the ending in this book was my favorite by far in both series.

So, Tara Sivec has done it again and has done it very well. This book has everything we love from this series and more. It was so well written, it was very difficult to put down, and it’s always fun to read a humorous book and have your family wonder what in the hell has you laughing your ass off. I really hope that this series continues. So, thanks Tara Sivec, your hard work is such a reward for us and I for one, am very grateful.

Rock Me (Ross Siblings Series, Book #2) by Cherrie Lynn

Rock Me (Ross Siblings Series, Book #2)

It’s been a while since I have read this book and so I reread it recently so I could write a fair review. Sometimes you will read a book and think that it was a fantastic read, but then you read it a few months or even years later and wonder what in the hell you were thinking, because it is no where as good as you remember. That’s not the case here, it was as good as I remember, maybe even a little better. Let’s get started.

This book tells the story of Candace Andrews and Brian Ross and is told from both POV’s. You will need a little back story going in, so let me help with that. Candace is from a very well to do family who likes to control her every move. Her mother is a huge bitch, but Candace finds herself constantly seeking approval. Brian is also from a very well to do family, but he is the black sheep. He owns a tattoo parlor and has the ink and piercings expected of someone who owns a tattoo parlor. He was the kid who got into trouble growing up and his family continues to think that is who is. His brother is a lawyer and his sister is in med school, so needless to say, he feels as if he doesn’t fit in. Where it gets interesting is, Brian dated Candace’s cousin, Michelle, which is how Candace knows Brian. Because of his relationship with Michelle, Candace already knows that her family disapproves of him.

The book begins with Candace showing up to Brian’s tattoo parlor, Dermamania, to gift herself a tattoo for her 23rd birthday. Candace has always been attracted to Brian and seeing him in his tattoo parlor only confirms the feelings that she has always had for him. Seeing Candace standing in his shop, Brian is definitely attracted to her, so much so, he gives her his cell number, just in case there are “problems with the tattoo”, Candace also hands over her digits, “just in case”. So, this is the beginning of a very passionate, hot,  and spirited relationship.

They both wind up in the same video store one night, so Brian dials Candace up and they both agree to hang out with one another. One thing leads to another, there is lots of foreplay action happening and BAM, Candace drops a bomb. She is a virgin. Brian is not really pissed at this new information, however, it is a gift he is not willing to take. But, they do have some fun, until the next morning when Candace kicks Brian out because her mother is on her way over and Brian feels as if she is embarrassed to be seen with him.

There is some back and forth going on between Candace and Brian, mostly on the part of Candace. I actually felt a little sorry for Brian, he knows that he wants her, in not only a sexual nature. It’s Candace playing the hot and cold role. In fairness to her, she’s never really had a relationship before and the weight of her family is right on her shoulders. So I guess it’s more of a discovery of oneself that Candace is going through, Brian just happens to be stuck right in the middle. Not only does her family disapprove of him, but she also has to deal with Michelle, who happens to be the only family member that Candace is close to. Candace is trying so hard to be and do what is expected of her, not realizing that the only person she needs to make happy at the time, is herself.

Brian has a lot of issues with his family, but I really enjoyed them. They have expectations, but they are all really supportive and loving, unlike Candace’s family. I really didn’t enjoy them, AT ALL. Even in the end. Her brother was a real tool and her cousin (the one that is getting married) was the kind of bitch that ranked up there with Candace’s mom. Macy who is one of Candace’s really good friends, is not very likable in the first part of the book. Almost to the point of wondering why Candace was even friends with her, but she redeems herself and even gets her own book, so you know that she becomes lovable.

Usually, a character like Candace gets on my nerves a little. It’s written almost like she is leading him on and then backing away then leading him on some more, but once the whole story comes together, it’s understood. The transformation of Candace from the start of the book to the end of the book was really a joy to read.

Now for the sex! It was smoking hot. Even the virginal scenes, where no intercourse took place were very scorching. I’m not going to give anything away, but the rock concert scene is still, after hundreds of books, one of my absolute favorites.

There are several other books in this series, that honestly I haven’t read yet (except Macy’s story). I know that eventually I will get around to reading them. I’m not sure what’s not to love about this book. A tattooed bad boy who has a penchant for body piercings (you know where) meets the pure, sweet and innocent beauty. Don’t worry, I’m sure you will be Googling “Apadravya” in the end. C’mon, that’s good stuff. It is very well written. The supporting characters are developed well enough, even the ones you will hate. This book is four years old, so if you haven’t enjoyed it yet, I say why not go for it? It is definitely a good read.

Pure Will by Kristi Pelton

Pure WillPure WillSynopsis TagPure WillBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Pure Will

You should know one thing going into this book. It does break “girlfriend code”. Kate and Camden are roommates/best friends and Kate and Will have sex, multiple times, and then Camden and Will get together. I know that sounds kinda skanky, but, I promise, it’s written really well and Ms. Pelton pulls it off, even if it goes against the rules.

This story is told from both Camden’s and Will’s POV. Both attend the University of Kansas, where Cam is a senior and Will is a graduate student. Will is depicted in the typical fashion. He is a player who rarely sleeps with the same girl twice. He sees Kate and figures “easy”, which she was and they do the business. Once he sets his eyes on Camden, he is pulled to her in a way he has never experienced with a girl. Here is where the problem lies. In order for Will to continue hanging out with Camden, he must continue to sex it up with Kate. Not that it is too much of a hardship, he just doesn’t want Cam to feel his attraction lies where it really isn’t.

As for Camden, I’m going to go ahead and give you her backstory, because I don’t think it’s too much of a spoiler. So here it goes. Camden’s father is a famous MLB player and remarried when she was in her teens. Her stepbrother, Max,  comes and lives with them and when Cam is 16 (he is 19), they begin a sexual relationship. The problem is, Cam was a virgin and Max was very aggressive and rough. From biting to spanking, even anal. So her sexual ideas are very skewed. And instead of her father being angry that a 19 year old took advantage of a 16 year old, he agrees with his wife (Max’s mom) who blamed Cam. Fast forward to college and Cam is not only ashamed and harbors guilt over what happened, but doesn’t really know how to enjoy sex without being on edge.

While Will comes from a very loving home, with parents that not only are madly in love, but flaunt it constantly, he too has some past demons. He and his family recently experienced tragedy, that really had Will making decisions that required his father to rescue him, continually. He gets himself in a good place and him and Cam decide to really try having a relationship with one another, and this is with Kate’s blessing.
Painful intercourse: This too can cause a frequent decrease in blood pressure that can lead to heart attack, but it can greatly affect a man’s sexual drive is low and they are not able to satisfy their females. http://djpaulkom.tv/category/news/page/11/ generico levitra on line Erectile dysfunction could be a sign of a health problem while consuming djpaulkom.tv cheap viagra india, you must inform your doctor to avail his advice. One of the prominent reason for this mastercard cialis is the primary cause of Type 1 diabetes.
This is a really good love story. There will be drama, but in the end, it’s worth it. There is humor infused which, trust me, is necessary to cut some of the drama, and the humor is written well. Cam is very snarky and is written so well, that you want to be her friend. The epilogue was great, it wrapped it all up very well. As far as the supporting characters, I thought that their development was really just mediocre. Will’s parents were well written as was Kate. Some of the story did focus on the athletes that Cam tutored, but not really in detail. My biggest issue was with Noah. Noah is Will’s best friend, but there was really no focus on him at all. There was a little at the beginning of the book, but I felt that with Will taking such a major turn in his life, falling in love, that there would’ve been more interaction with Noah. But, this isn’t enough of a problem for me to dislike the book. All in all, a very good read. I highly recommend.

Raid (Unfinished Heroes Book #3) by Kristen Ashley

Raid (Unfinished Heroes Series, Book #3) by Kristen Ashley

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This isn’t the usual “you must read the first two books before you read this one” speech. Yes, this is a series, but each book is really a stand alone that focuses on a particular couple. This book follows Hanna and Raid. If you read Creed, you know that while it visited Knight some, it really focused on the story of Creed and Sylvie. The same goes here. Knight is mentioned, and Anya, Creed, and Sylvie will visit, but only briefly. The only way that Raid connects to Knight (book #1) is, Knight has contracted Raid to find someone for him.

This book is told mainly through the POV of Hanna, there are a couple of instances where the POV shifts to Raid, but not too many. This story takes place in Willow, CO with Hanna being the towns “girl next door” and the great granddaughter of the town’s matriarch, Miss Mildred (whom I loved). She has had her sights on Raiden Miller since she was 6 years old. Raid is a former Marine and a current “underground” bounty hunter and his work has brought him back to the small town of Willow. The beginning of the story has Hanna almost stalkery towards Raid. She hangs out in the local diner (which happens to be owned by Raid’s sister) just hoping to catch his eye. The day she sees him front to front, making out with another girl, one who is her total opposite, she decides to give up and focus more on her. Months pass and the “new” Hanna finally catches the eye of one Raiden Miller. And so, their story begins.

The relationship between Hanna and Raid, starts out a little rocky. As with a lot of the female characters in KA’s books, she doesn’t necessarily deem herself worthy of Raid. But, I don’t think it’s because she thinks she is not pretty enough, she doesn’t really have any self esteem issues.  Her issue is, after seeing him making out with another girl and over hearing a phone conversation, that was taken out of context, she really just thinks that she isn’t his type. Once he establishes, in a very alpha male way, that she is indeed his type, their relationship takes off (rocket style).

KA does a really good job, as usual, writing the sex in this book. Hanna really discovers her “sexual side” with the help of Raid. All of the “Heroes” in this series seem to have a desire to “play” and I’m talking about the kind of play that uses safe words. It is not extreme, very light, but he is definitely bossy in the bedroom. There is not a lot of secondary characters in this book. There are some, her great grandmother for example. But the one thing I LOVE about reading Kristen Ashley, is her ability to really develop supporting characters and this series she really didn’t do that. I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but is was something that I wished there was a little more focus on. For example, Miss Mildred’s cat, Spot, seems to have more devotion than her best friend does. The books in this series aren’t as many pages as usual for KA, so that could be a reason.

But you should remember to take the medical advices vardenafil pharmacy and instructions before consuming the solution the consumption that follows an exemption of the medical advice may react adversely to develop decreased sexual desire, tender feeling in breast or impotency. Most individuals consult a primary doctor for initial treatment who would then refer the patient to a urologist in Dallas, Texas. tadalafil samples Mechanical vacuum devices produce a partial vacuum that free sample viagra causes the blood circulation for the penis. Ones that contain Minoxidil are considered the best because of the low cost plus best quality. generic viagra 100mg There is some violence in this book, so be prepared. Nothing too drastic, but it is there. The only part of this book that made me give a frustrated sigh, is when Hanna first asks Raid about his Marine buddies. He really freaked out. I know it was something he didn’t like to talk about, but I felt as though his reaction and then her quickness to forgive him, made me cringe just a bit.

I don’t think I’m giving away any spoilers by saying that of course, Hanna and Raid get their HEA. Their journey to get there is a little rocky. I think that this is a goodread, not my favorite KA series, but she is one of my favorite authors, so usually, she can do no wrong. This series is a quick read, it is enjoyable, and the characters are lovable.

Even though a lot of KA’s series can be read as stand alones, and I usually advocate for reading the series in order to get the most enjoyment out of them, this is one book, I think could be read as a stand alone, without necessarily reading Knight and Creed firts. With Creed, I think that it was important to read Knight first, because their stories kinda intertwined, but this one is really a “by itself” kinda book. Enjoy.

Normal (Something More Series, Book #1) by Danielle Pearl

BXTCHES Gotta Warn:It’s important to know that THIS BOOK CONTAINS VIOLENCE. If this sort of thing is an issue for you, please know that going in. Also, there is a pretty major cliffhanger, consider that when considering this read. Now, here we go.

I am sad to think that I may have never discovered this book, if it didn’t come across my Facebook feed. Well, that’s a little over dramatic, I would have eventually came across it, but who knows when?

This book is told through the POV of Aurora (“Rory”). The story begins with Rory’s move to New York with her mother after her mother and father divorce. It focuses on her need to “blend in” and not be seen. That’s easier said than done, once she has a panic attack outside of her calculus class and it is witnessed by no other than Sam (not only extremely attractive, but very popular as well). She catches his attention, he catches hers, and eventually a friendship forms.

The story flashes back to her “old” life in Florida, the one she has escaped. It is then that her past is slowly unfolded. From her life long friendship with Cam, to her dating the star quarterback. It touches on her lack of relationship with her father to building new friendships with girls (she has lived her life as a tomboy and mostly developed friendships with boys, namely, Cam). The flashbacks occur throughout the book, so it takes a while for the book to piece the puzzle that is her past trauma together. Although, it shouldn’t take you as long to figure it out as it takes for the book to unfold it.

You get to witness Rory grow a lot through her friendship with Sam. He helps her work through her triggers and he begins to be someone she can lean on. As the reader, it is quite obvious that Rory and Sam are attracted to one another, but for Rory and her past, it is very difficult for her to believe that someone would want her, even the broken parts.
Today, doctors of chiropractic should earn a degree and get their licenses in order to get their titles. try this cialis 20mg tablets Drug has an effective levitra purchase treatment time of 4 – 6 hours and some patients and GPs report longer effective times up to 12 hours. This account was fabricated by the producers of discount cialis, which is Pfizer and let them know what happened. eDrugstore.MD is a leading U.S. online pharmacy with a click of a mouse. cialis produces best results when consumed an hour before sexual activity.
The flashbacks in this book are heartbreaking. It is very sad having to “witness” the events that take place with Rory, and read how helpless she truly is. She continues to see herself as someone who is broken and f*cked up, but as the reader, you can only see her as a true survivor.

It’s hard to review this book and not give too much away, but I will say this. This read truly captivated me from start to finish. The story moved at the right pace to allow the events to unfold as necessary. As I said earlier, this book contains a cliffhanger, but the story of Rory and Sam will continue in Okay. If you have the chance, I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for their story to continue, and I hope that it contains some chapters with Sam’s POV.

***UPDATE: If you haven’t figured it out by now, Sam’s POV has been released and you can check it out in ReCap***

Motorcycle Man (Dream Man Series, Book #4)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn:Let me begin by saying that I first read this book in July 2013 and truth be told if I had purchased the actual book (not the e-version), then it would be worn out with as many times as I’ve read it. I’m not sure what in the world possessed me to skip right over the first 3 books in this series and dive right into Motorcycle Man, but I did just that and I am not one bit sorry that I did. I haven’t read the first 3 books and I honestly don’t think I will. Not because I don’t think that I would enjoy them, I mean, c’mon, this is Kristen Ashley after all, it’s just this book does it for me. In fact, Tack is probably one of my all time favorite “Alpha Males”, and why ruin a good thing. This is not suggesting that you shouldn’t read any of the others, go ahead, I’m sure you will fall in love. However, it is not a requirement to read any of the first 3 to enjoy Tack and Tyra. The others will make appearances in this book, but no worries, it will not throw you off for a second. So, if you have read this series in order, then congratulations, you have made it to the final book (and in my opinion the best), if this is the first book of this series that you are enjoying, then get ready, because the ride is phenomenal.

There are so many positive descriptors I could use when talking about the writing of Kristen Ashley, but if you have read her, you already know how fabulous she is. But let me get some out of the way. In a lot of KA’s books (not all), her H/h are usually of the older variety. Now, I’m not talking about medicare age, but they are hitting mid-thirties, early forties. As a female in that age range, I appreciate this very much. It just makes it a little more relatable. Another think I love: I have several favorite authors that I adore when it comes to their ability to write that typical badass alpha male, but no one does it better (again, in my opinion) than KA. I could give you a list that proves my point, but that will have to be another post.  One more then I will get on with it. KA can write funny, without it being “sitcom like”. I’m not sure if that even makes sense, so let me try it like this. Her series, “Rock Chicks” is funny, it is written to be funny, in fact, you will be laughing out loud, that is how funny it is. This book has humor throughout without it being “funny”. It’s written in a way that makes scenes lighter. The humor of this book always falls when there needs to be a lighter moment and KA does it so good. Let’s go on with it.

This book will focus on the relationship between Kane “Tack” Allen and Tyra Masters. It is almost 100% told through the POV of Tyra. This book will captivate you from start to finish. I liked Tyra and I suspect that you will as well. My issues with her were pretty typical. Like a lot of women do, I felt that she needed validation that Tack was interested in her, which I know is pretty normal, but the ways she went about it were irritating to me, but my guess is, that part was/is necessary. As the story progresses, it is refreshing to see how much Tyra grows and becomes the woman she was destined to be. KA has a gift of developing her characters that pull you so far into the story that you actually begin to think you know them and it definitely makes it to where you want to take the journey with them. Like I said previously, she is VERY good at writing the strong, alpha male, and Tack does not disappoint. Sometimes when reading a book that features a strong male character, it’s sometimes easy to see the female influence that the author has on that character. Not here, there is nothing that indicated Tack is nothing but ALL MALE and ALL BADASS! That’s how good KA is at writing her male characters. The way Tack speaks, carries himself, his entire disposition will have him at the top of your “list” in no time. I did enjoy Tyra. Her idiosyncrasies aside, I think that Tyra is a very strong female. She stands up for herself when she believed that she was being wronged. She holds her own in the badass category she refused to be a doormat, but is also able to discover so much about herself in the process of growing her relationship with Tack.

Tack is the President of the Chaos MC. You should know that this book doesn’t present itself as a “typical” MC book. The club is there and while it is some of the focus of this book, don’t expect a Madeline Sheehan or Joanna Wylde style MC book. Don’t worry, there is drama, there is adventure, there are hot motorcycle men, and it has comedy, all of which balances this story out to perfection.

There is A LOT happening in this book, so I really just want to give you a quick rundown to just give you an idea of the greatness that is this story, if I haven’t already convinced you to purchase this book.

Tyra Masters has decided to forge a new path in her life and it starts with a new job and what she thought was meeting “THE ONE”. Since childhood, Tyra has had the idea of a “dream man” and never wavered from what she wanted in her perfect man and wasn’t going to just settle. Tyra meets Tack at the Chaos MC Clubhouse and has the best night of sex in her life. She is the new office manager for Ride Custom Cars and Bikes and couldn’t be happier. That is until her first day. “THE ONE” is no other than Tack Allen, Tyra’s new boss and President of the Chaos MC. Unfortunately for Tyra, Tack believes that you don’t get your pleasure from work. Since he already received lots of pleasure from Tyra, he doesn’t want her working for him. Words are flung, stands are made, and in the end, Tyra gets to keep her job as the new office manager, however, Tack is not her favorite person.

The Brazilians are sure of the magical powers of the Amazon purchase cialis online fruit. Eventually Tack sets his mind on making Tyra his, it just takes Tyra a little while to catch on to this. There is a lot of confusion, two teenaged kids and a bitch for an ex wife that comes into the picture. But, Tack will worm his way into her bed and eventually her heart.

There are a lot of stories/relationships working in this one book, so no skimming pages. The supporting characters in this book seem to have their own story unfolding at the same time that Tyra and Tack’s relationship is attempting to be put in cement. Tyra BFF, Lanie, is in a hot mess with her fiancĂ© and the Russian Mob. Tack’s kiddos are dealing with a mom who is more concerned with money than being a mother to her children. Like I said, lots of stuff going on along with this book, not just the story of Tyra and Tack. It is not difficult to keep up with, but it is fun. Like I have said to the point of beating a dead horse, KA is super talented at writing drama mixed with humor. Not many people can write something as serious as getting kidnapped by the Russian mob and make the reader laugh, while worrying.

Oh the sex. I really don’t know if even given the best porn as reference, I could come up with some of the scenes that KA does. The sex in this book is panty melting, sheets on fire, HOT!! It is going to give your imagination a work out and hopefully other things as well. I recommend you have someone laying next to you to use that imagination on. There are times in books that I have to skim through the sex. The book may be well written, but the author may be pretty clueless on how to set the loins on fire. Don’t worry Kristen Ashley does not have this problem, in any of her books.

If you have read KA before, buying this book should be a no brainer. If you haven’t had the pleasure yet of enjoying a KA novel, no better time to start than now.

The Ride (Hell’s Disciples MC Series, Book #1)

First, let me say that I enjoyed this book. However, I suggest that you download a sample first (if you have an e-reader, of course), and base your purchasing decision on your enjoyment of the sample. One thing that I’ve learned is the MC books are a lot like a steak, everyone wants it different. This book is not as hardcore as Madeline Sheehan, whom I love, but I think her MC books are about as hardcore and gritty as it gets.

I actually read this book a while back, but once the second book in this series was released, I needed to catch up, so I skimmed back through this on so I could recall what went down in this book.

Here’s the rundown: First, know that this is a MC book, which means it’s the run of the mill formula: “tough biker who doesn’t do relationships falls for the girl who is off limits”. Now even though that basic premise has been and continues to be done, the author does write it well. This MC has problems that this book dives into, so it does keep you interested. This book is written from both POV’s (and done so extremely well).

First up is Tank. I really loved him. She wrote him very well and epitomized the alpha biker to a T. He’s got a dirty mouth, sexy, and knows how to please a woman.

It’s no spoiler that Tank and Lil are going to fall for one another and it being a MC book, means that in the process, shit will go down.

If you’ve read the synopsis, you already know what the story is about, so I’m not going to go into detail. I don’t want to give too much away. I don’t like to write spoilers if I can avoid it. So if you like MC reads, I think you will enjoy this book. If you are not a fan of foul language and hot sex, then I wouldn’t spend the money. But I will say that if you are not a fan of those things, you probably shouldn’t be checking out MC books in the first place. Overall, a good read. The second book in the series (Crash and Burn) is out, but you will need to read this book first.
