BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I purchased and read That Guy in July 2020 and gave it a re-read in October 2020 and in my quest to find out whether or not there is a second book for the BFF’s, I learned that this book was released in 2018 and couldn’t believe I was so out of the That Guy loop. There is no prerequisite for this book, it stands on its own and does so very well. That Guy is a quick and funny read with characters you’ll want to revisit time and time again.

That Guy will be told through the POV of Penelope.

We first meet Penelope Hart running through the streets of Chicago with a bag of dog poo. . .all in the name of avenging her BFF’s broken heart. And as it goes when one runs through busy city streets with a bag of dog poo, Penelope gets mistaken for someone else and finds herself in a pretty swanky penthouse. Penelope may be in Chicago to avenge her bestie’s broken heart, but she is also an author looking for her next muse, her That Guy. . .the mega rich, super hot, alpha that readers fall head over tits for and Penelope is pretty sure she has struck bestselling author gold when she walks into the penthouse.

Jake Swagger is expecting to come home to a woman in his penthouse. However, the woman he’s expecting is one that he has paid for and not the one in his living room who’s watching scary movies and wearing his shirt. . .his very expensive shirt.

After getting kicked out by who she believed was going to be her that guy and after spending part of her day behind bars, Penelope finds herself back in the penthouse and back in front of a very confused Jake. Now the fun begins.

In today s growing world most of the men s are looking around for anti-impotency pills then viagra canada samples could be the main reason behind hair thinning. Safety while using the device: As the penis pumping goes on, you will eventually accustomed to the feeling of making love. viagra on sale cheapest Is not buy viagra buy http://djpaulkom.tv/the-hidden-truth-on-best-2019-no-deposit-exposed/ Kamagra a wonderful treatment? Of course yes. That Guy isn’t gonna be a read about the leading lady finding herself and making some discovery that was there all along and she’s rescued in the end. No, Penelope Hart knows who she is and either you love all of her or none of her. And all of her includes her fear of elevators and her ability to speak her mind even when she should probably do otherwise. She is gonna make Jake see things a bit different and without any effort on her part, make him change who he is.

That Guy does not become That Guy without the cast of characters that Kim Jones created. Everyone introduced plays their role and does it very well and she certainly succeeds in leaving you wanting more from them. There wasn’t one character I didn’t fall in love with. . .well, that isn’t exactly true, there was one I didn’t care too much for, but I wasn’t supposed to. From the best friends to Peepaw Swagger to the employees who work for Jake, they all have a hand in making That Guy, Penelope’s guy and if I’m being honest, he’s also gonna become your guy as well. On a side note, I will continue to cross my fingers for a Cam and Emily book and while it may never come to fruition, after everything 2020 has thrown our way, I will try to keep hope alive.

In order for Penelope’s that guy to be legit, he’s gonna have to bring the skills in the bedroom and once he decides to dive head first into her pussy while she’s pushed against the windows in his penthouse, it becomes pretty clear that Jake not only understands the female body, but he also knows how to play that body like a finely tuned instrument.

I haven’t read a lot from Kim Jones. I have read the Saving Dallas series and loved it, but it’s not a romantic comedy, so I was overly impressed with her comedy writing skills. That Guy will hit you right in the funny feels and very rarely lets up.

Usually I can find a tiny flaw in whatever leading lady graces the pages, but there was nothing I didn’t love about Penelope and even though Jake was an asshole, understandably so, in the beginning of the book, he is everything one would want in That Guy.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Plan B is the second book in the Best Laid Plans series and features Daisy and Kyle. It also takes place at around the same time as Sure Thing (book #1), which features Violet and Jennings. . .Violet is Daisy’s identical twin. With all that said, it should be no surprise when I tell you to be sure to read these books in the order in which they were written. Because these stories take place at the same time, knowing Violet and Jennings will only enhance this particular story. I will usually tell you if I think a book in a series can be read as a stand alone and I’m telling you now, this one should not be.

Plan B will be told through the POV’s of both Daisy and Kyle.

Here’s what we already know going in. . .Daisy is a tour guide with Sutton Travel and life has recently dealt Violet a pretty crappy hand. Daisy has hatched a plan that involves the good ole twin switcharoo. And that’s how Violet ends up posing as Daisy on Daisy’s tour, it’s also how Violet ends up meeting Jennings. . .but that’s a story for Violet’s book.

While reading Sure Thing, you’ll be left wondering what Daisy is up to. She has sent her sister in her place on a tour without much explanation. And even though she checks in with Violet regularly, she gives no indication at what she’s up to, but now we know. Daisy is on a quest to find her baby daddy.

Daisy breaks her dick diet for one night with Kyle Kingston and is left with a gift that will last a lifetime. . .a baby. Unfortunately, the only thing she knows about Kyle is his name and now she’s on a quest to locate him to share this life altering news. What she quickly finds out is Kyle Kingston is the CEO of KINGS (think Walmart) and letting him know he’s about to be a dad isn’t as easy as a quick slide into the DM’s.

A plan is hatched and while Daisy was hoping to get in and let Kyle know, then get out, Kyle has shifted her plan a to a plan b and if Daisy thought she was gonna let Kyle know about the baby and move on with her life as a single mom, then she clearly didn’t think the plan through. Let the journey begin.

While there are supporting characters that add to the flavor of this book, it really is a story that is all about Daisy and Kyle. If you have read Wrong, Luke is Kyle’s cousin and he makes an appearance in Plan B. Violet plays a pretty important role in this book, since her story and Daisy’s story go hand in hand. There are other players that are intricate to this story. . .Kyle’s sister (Kerrigan), some cousins and even a villain. Overall, it really is about Daisy and Kyle and their journey in not only becoming parents, but becoming a Daisy + Kyle = Forever.

When you have a man worth throwing the dick diet out the door and add in some raging pregnancy hormones, you’re bound to run into some pretty wild and hot sex and Kyle and Daisy does not disappoint. And if you’ve read anything Jana Aston, you already know that she has a pretty fantastic ability taking your imagination to all places dirty.

I have yet to read a book by Jana Aston that I didn’t fall in love with. You’re guaranteed a fiercely independent leading lady, along with an alpha that’ll hit where you need it the most. Her trademark is her humor, she will have you laughing out loud, but the girl is no slack in the bedroom either. I’m a reader who loves a good rom-com, but I also like some angst mixed in and even though we don’t always get a ton of it, it’s always sprinkled in at just the right time.

If it’s an escape you’re looking for, you can’t go wrong with Jana Aston. If it’s good solid comedy you’re looking for, you can’t go wrong with Jana Aston. If it’s hot bedroom action you’re looking, you can’t go wrong with Jana Aston. If it’s an good old fashioned love story you’re looking for, you can’t go wrong with Jana Aston. So, if you haven’t yet caught on, you really can’t go wrong with Jana Aston.

Roan (FMX Series, Book #3) by Shey Stahl

Roan (FMX Series, Book #3) by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Roan (FMX Series, Book #3) by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comRoan (FMX Series, Book #3) by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comRoan (FMX Series, Book #3) by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book ReviewsBXTCHES Gotta Warn: In order to get through Roan, you will need to have already gone through Shade and Scarlet (book #1) and Tiller and Amberly (book #2). This book is not gonna hit you where it needs to if you haven’t fallen in love with those stories first. But I can certainly assure you that each book is so worth the journey and when you’re done with one, you’ll be diving right into the next.

Roan will be told through the POV’s of both Roan and Ophelia.

While the history of Roan and Ophelia goes way back, the book kicks off a little before Shade and Scarlet and will span about 8-10 years.

If you have read this series in order, you are already familiar with the crack in Tiller and Roan’s relationship. Now, make no mistake, the crack has been there for quite sometime, well before Ophelia. The situation between Tiller and Ophelia just broke the crack wide open. And if you need a little reminder of what occurred between Tiller and Ophelia to further the divide between the brothers. . .Tiller was the one to take Ophelia’s virginity and even though it sounds very Neanderthal to say, it was always supposed to be Roan’s.

Even though I say that you go on a journey while reading most books and I think that’s true, but Roan is really gonna take you on a journey. And it’s gonna be filled with a roller coaster of emotions, so you best secure that lap belt or you’re bound to fall out.

We may have gotten glimpses of Roan during Shade and Tiller’s stories, but I felt (during those books) that we never really got an idea of who he was. We knew from Shade’s book that Tiller was most certainly a wild cat and when we got to his book, he lived up to that nickname. But I feel that Roan was almost elusive, we only really knew about the Ophelia debacle with Tiller, so diving in here kind of gives an opportunity to fall in love with a brand new character.
The male sex enhancer supplements like Kamdeepak capsules are blended with herbal sexual enhancers that naturally boost sex power, stamina, and strength. purchase levitra One’s preference and desire for future pregnancies is also crucial in levitra shop the treatment discussion. Roan is definitely a focus on Roan and Ophelia, but in order to get to that, there’s so much that the two of them have to learn separately about themselves first and that part of the journey is going to be a constant trip up the roller coaster and down. . .over and over again, until all of sudden the ride is gonna smooth out.

Each book in this series does a fantastic job of putting the spotlight on the intended couple, but each book wouldn’t be nearly the same without the supporting cast of characters. When you dive into this series, you become invested in everyone and as you move to the next book, it’s falling for the main event while also being giddy with excitement in discovering what everyone else has been up to. Since the book takes place over such a large time span, we get to continue to follow Shade and Scarlet and Tiller and Amberly, Willa and Ricky, along with River, Berlin, and Camden. And FYI, this book ends with Camden at 18 years old and while I have no inside information, I feel quite certain that Camden will be getting his own book and I cannot wait.

I’m not too sure at this point who my favorite brother is. I’m inclined to go with Shade, but only because he was my very first Shey Stahl book and I was so blown away with her writing style and storytelling ability that I just fell in love. BUT each brother gives you many reasons to be your favorite and in the journey, Shey Stahl will definitely become one as well.

I don’t think this will be the last that we hear from the Sawyer brothers, at least I hope not. This is a series that I’m so glad I discovered. And I know I say this a lot, but Shey Stahl’s ability to capture the reader and put them right in the middle of the story is unmatched. I haven’t read her entire catalogue, but if you’re looking for good place to start, the FMX series is a really good choice.

Two Weeks Notice by Whitney G. | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comTwo Weeks Notice by Whitney G. | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: There is no warning with this book, this is a standalone novel, so there is no prerequisite book to read prior. All you need to do is kick back and enjoy. Which I’m most certain you will.

Two Weeks Notice will be told through the POV’s of both Tara and Preston.

Tara Lauren is struggling to find her first job out of college and with her degree resume, it shouldn’t be too terribly difficult. Preston Parker is a very successful hotelier. . .like billionaire successful. . .and is struggling to find an executive assistant that lasts longer a week. When Tara is caught stealing from the gourmet breakfast bar in one of Preston’s luxury hotels, she thinks her luck has gone from bad to worse, when Preston offers her the job as his executive assistant instead of calling the police, Tara is starting to see her luck change for the better. That is until she actually starts the job.

And that is the journey that Two Weeks Notice is going to take you all on. Tara is the best executive assistant that Preston has ever had and while he can admit that fact to himself, he’s not about to show his gratitude by saying thank you or anything nice really. The sexual tension is thick and Tara is about at the very end of whatever patience she has left.

If you have read Whitney G.’s Naughty Boss (Steamy Coffee Reads Collection, Book #1), this is really just a longer version. The characters aren’t the same and the CEO of that book is the head of a publication company. But the premise is the same and both books are fantastic. Naughty Boss is a novella at only 139 pages and it’s not necessary to read one before the other since they’re not related, I just wanted to give you an idea of what lies in the pages of Two Weeks Notice.

Various drugs are available to treat impotence, but should be taken as per prescribed manner. tadalafil india online is one of the treating drugs which are prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction. When not treated promptly or when the cialis properien situation is complex. viagra soft tablet The public deserves clean, continuous and affordable supply service. This herbal pill is also recommended for women to prevent tiredness, weak orgasm, mood swings, low energy, http://robertrobb.com/keep-the-justices-junk-the-retention-election-system/ viagra samples poor focus, low endurance, and low libido. While there is a supporting cast in Two Weeks Notice, this show 100% belongs to Preston and Tara. It’s their presence that will captivate you and it’s the chemistry that will keep you enthralled. Others in the book definitely add to the story and the story needs them to be told, but Preston and Tara are center stage for a reason.

I’ve read about 10 of Whitney G.’s books (and that includes the novellas) and the one thing that I have learned about her style is that she can write an alpha asshole male with the best of them. She has an ability to depict her leading man in a way that you know he’s an asshole, you know you’re supposed to kinda not like him, but you find yourself entranced by him and especially by the way he talks dirty. . .because you should also know that she’s really good at the dirty talk as well. Which is a nice segue to all the sex. The sexual tension in this book is so thick, it just pours off the pages. And when Preston and Tara finally get down to the business, it’s well worth the wait.

I actually first read this book back in July 2019 and have read it several times since. Usually when I reread a book, I sometimes skip over parts because I’m really just trying to get the feel of the book again, but not here. Each and every time that I’ve read this book, I have gone cover to cover and hit every word.

If you haven’t discovered Whitney G. yet, go and do so now. She will quickly become one of your favorites.

Texas Tornado (Freebirds Series, Book #5) by Lani Lynn Vale

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: The same warning stands with Texas Tornado that has been issued with every book in this series thus far. Please read them in the order in which they were written. While I think they would be still enjoyable (somewhat) on their own, the puzzle doesn’t come together until the end, especially with this book. James’ story has been brewing since the very first book in this series (Boomtown) and with every subsequent book, we get little nuggets that will come together in Texas Tornado. There’s also other storylines that need closure and this book will bring that.

Texas Tornado will be told through the POV’s of both James and Shiloh, with a few chapters told through the POV’s of those we have already met.

Let’s flashback a bit. . .James has been in the series since book #1, Cheyenne is his sister and Janie (who has been in the series since the beginning) is his daughter, while Shiloh was introduced in Jack and Winter’s story (book #4) when we found out that she was Sam’s sister. . .one he knew nothing about. Texas Tornado will pick up about six months after Last Day of My Life and things aren’t looking all too good for Shiloh.

Here’s what we know going into this book. James is having some pretty severe baby mama issues. The father that Sam despised practically his whole life may not deserve Sam’s hate after all. So, there’s a lot of questions that need to get cleared up in this book.

Sam finding out he has a long lost sister doesn’t automatically kick start his sibling protective gear. In fact, he’s really a giant asshole to her and James is the first one of the group to really step up and give her a helping hand.

However, several herbs discount viagra possess workable complementary components that help bodybuilding. Generic medicines too can work in the same way, the anatomy and physiology of the soft generic viagra human digestive tract suggest it was designed for having a good time. Kamagra Polo Chewable Tablets are the very latest development buy levitra professional in this field was achieved when researchers conducted an experiment on rats that had bladder or prostrate operations and in this case, gene therapy was used to bolster the growth of crucial nerves that had been damaged during the surgery. You can add as many jelly as you like in the cart depending on your needs. robertrobb.com cialis 40 mg James is trying to deal with his baby mama, who signed away her rights years ago. Shiloh is trying to navigate life in a new city, while working out why her new found bother hates her. There’s a whole other story happening with Sam and Shiloh’s dad (Silas) and their brother (Sebastian) and then intermixed with it all is the actual story that is James and Shiloh. So Texas Tornado is very aptly named, because it is about to take you on a whirlwind.

While really getting to know James and Shiloh, we get to catch up with the others as well. Janie plays a pretty significant role here and her wit and humor keep up very well with the adults and will have you laughing out loud. We’ve already met Sebastian and Silas, but we get to know them a bit more here, which is good since they will be getting their own books in The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC Series. Luke and Downy are also back and though we don’t learn a lot more about them, we get teased just enough to give us something to look forward to (KPD SWAT series). Since we get a lot of characters from future series during this series, I’m sure we can look forward to these characters making appearances in other series as well, especially when we get to the kids and their 2nd generation books.

I haven’t yet decided which book/couple is my favorite. Even though the Last Day of My Life wasn’t my favorite book, I really liked Jack/Winter as a couple, but it’s difficult to pick which one I loved the most.

There’s still one book to go, but it’s a novella and it’s gonna give (what I assume) the backstory of Elliott and Blaine. They’ve both been around since book #1 and we already know a great deal about them, but I am super excited to get their story from the beginning.

I only started this series so it wouldn’t be so difficult to decipher all of the characters that are in LLV’s books, but I’m so glad I made that decision because now I know what I was missing out on.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: We’re onto book #4 and if you haven’t read the first three books, please stop, go back and do that first. This is not a series that you can skip around willy nilly, in order for things to really come together, you gotta start things off with Sam and Cheyenne.

Last Day of My Life will be told through the POV’s of both Jack and Winter.

We don’t know too much about Jack. After Payton had her kiddo and trips had to be made to the NICU, Jack was one of the ones who participated in kangaroo care, but he hasn’t appeared a whole lot up to this point. Well, I guess he’s appeared, he’s just silent. Which means we haven’t had too many hints about him and what his story will bring. Turns out, that is the hint.

Last Day of My Life will flashback, because unlike the other couples, Jack and Winter’s story begins years prior. The prologue lays down the beginnings and by chapter one you realize that the one Jack thought was gone forever, is not and now his (and her) life is about to change forever.
It has the capability to manage over the amerikabulteni.com buy viagra commotion of this enzyme. Another cialis samples online common cause of male disorder in all age groups people. Many people don’t believe a third application can help them recover deleted cialis vs viagra pictures from Nikon camera. Hence, it has cheapest levitra Learn More Here been the most popular herb available in almost every country.
There’s a lot to unpack with Jack and Winter, mainly because he’s lived the last seven years thinking that his Winter had not only been killed, but no one knew the exact circumstances surrounding the case and because of that tragedy, he hasn’t really lived during those seven years. But now she’s back and the past isn’t quite done fucking with her future.

One of the reasons I decided to start from the very beginning with LLV’s collection is because characters introduced in one series, will be the feature in a book in another series and I just got frustrated trying to figure out where some of the characters originated from, so I’m starting from the top. Also, she is starting to release 2nd generation series and my curiosity is killing me wanting to known whose kids belong to who and so forth. We’ve already met characters during this series that will get their own books in future series. . .Luke Roberts kick off the KPD SWAT series in Center Mass. . .Downy comes along in book #3 of that series in Bang Switch. This book introduces us to Tai, Jack’s brother and he will not only kick off book #1 in the Kilgore Fire series (Shock Advised), he makes appearances in many more books during multiple series. We get to keep in touch with Sam/Cheyenne, Gabe/Ember, Max/Payton and we start to peek into James’ story a bit more.

At this point in the series, this one is not my fave. Not because I didn’t enjoy Jack and Winter, I so did. In fact, I thought that LLV wrote Jack almost as passionate and caring as one would write a female character. All the guys in the series are definitely alpha, most definitely male, and all care about their other half. . .but Jack brought something different to his love for Winter. My issue with the book is really the story. I thought the basics of the story were fantastic, almost akin to something on Dateline. It’s when the story starts to get intricate. . .I start getting confused and I don’t know if it’s the way it’s written or if it’s me, but when the action starts to unfold, I’m left with more questions.

I’m still giving the book 4 hearts, mostly because I’m kinda taking this series in s a whole and Jack and Winter are important figures in the whole of Free. I have already started James’ book and I’m thinking his my be my favorite. . .stay tuned.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is book #2 in Freebirds series, which means that you should read Boomtown (book #1) before you move onto Gabe and Ember. Trust a BXTCH when she tells you that it is imperative that you read these books in the order in which they were written. LLV’s stories tend to move from book to book and even though you won’t necessarily be confused if you go out of order, doing so won’t do the series justice. My love for LLV came with the KPD SWAT series, but as I’ve moved from series to series I realized that it may have been more beneficial for me to start her books from the very beginning, which is why I’m reading (for the first time) a series that was written in 2013 and it’s 2020.

Highway Don’t Care will be told through the POV’s of Ember and Gabe.

We got to know Ember really well in Boomtown, which made flowing into Highway Don’t Care really easy. With all the danger that was going down in Sam and Cheyenne’s story, Gabe was the one assigned to watch over Ember and as it all unfolded, we knew that it was gonna be him that was hitched to her when her story came around. Highway Don’t Care will pick up around where Boomtown left off for Gabe and Ember, and if you remember correctly, Ember came charging into Free complaining about seeing Gabe walking intimately with another woman, which will lead to one of the main storylines in this book.

Even though seeing Gabe with another woman has Ember not speaking with him, she soon finds herself in a dire situation where she needs him to rescue her and rescue her he does. This life altering event is also the catalyst Gabe needed/used to stake his claim. . .on Ember.

All these ingredients in right ratio https://www.unica-web.com/archive/wmmc/wmmc90.pdf sildenafil tablets 100mg offer the best herbal treatment for erectile dysfunction problem. Order levitra 10 mg has a limited ad for grasping the market of the medicine. There are a number of fraud sites that not only pose as hazardous to your cardiovascular health but is cheap tadalafil india also ineffective. Ask your doctor about the current medications you are taking. https://unica-web.com/result2009excel.xls generic cialis price Just like the previous book, there is enough action and drama to fill you up and keep you satisfied. Add that to mattress action and the alpha that oozes from the pages and you’ll be unbuttoning your pants in no time. Interpret that however you see fit.

This series is most definitely an ensemble type series, though I think that her entire collection is close to being an ensemble collection. Even though Highway Don’t Care is centered around Gabe and Ember, we continue to dive more into the other characters in this series. Since Ember and Max are siblings, we see more of him, which is a good thing, since his book is next. We also get introduced to Payton (Max), our first introduction to Downy (KDP SWAT series) and more of Luke (KPD SWAT series). So you can see just from two books in, how she slowly brings in characters that you will see somewhere down the road, which is why reading in order is extremely helpful. Since this is an ensemble series and since Ember and Cheyenne are BFF’s, we are still following along with and catching up with Sam and Cheyenne.

Lots of things to love about this book. It’s the first where LLV introduces her chapters to witty quotes, which if you haven’t experienced that yet, you’re in for a treat. The chemistry between Ember and Gabe is pretty fantastic, but so is the chemistry between Ember, Cheyenne and each new female introduced . They bring a humor and friendship that balances very well with the action that all is involved in. Jump on and stay course, the journey is worth it.

The next book (Another One Bites the Dust) features Max and Payton and just when you think the action was good, it’s about to get better.Bxtches Be ReadingLani Lynn Vale

Loved the book and fell in love with the author, but the more I continued with her books, the more I realized that I probably should’ve started with her very first series. I usually always advocate for readers to read series in the order in which the books are written because the overall story flows better. In this case, a lot of her series bounce off of one another. Characters introduced in a book in one series will show up as a main character in a book in another series. For example, in Boomtown, we get introduced to Luke Roberts (the lead in Center Mass) and we are now (in 2020) well into the 2nd generation series and there are so many characters at this point, I need a chart, but I figured the best way for me to sort it all out is to start from the very beginning, which is where I’m at with Boomtown.

Boomtown will be told through the POV’s of both Sam and Cheyenne.

This book kicks off on Cheyenne’s 25th birthday and since everyone in her life is unavailable to celebrate, she is on her own, which leads her to a bar where Sam spots her. Drinks are purchased and pleasantries are exchanged and a one night stand ensues. A first for Cheyenne. . .sex that is. . .one night or otherwise. For Sam, he knows without a doubt that he has found his one and only. For Cheyenne, she is definitely interested, but her lack of experience prevents her from taking that leap and since Sam is a bit stubborn when it comes to the pursuit of women, we’re at a standstill.

While we’re busy following the “what’s gonna happen with Cheyenne and Sam” storyline, lots of other drama is starting to take place. And while it wouldn’t be fair for me to expose the spoiler here, what I can say is this. Cheyenne’s brother (James) is in the military (active) and is currently serving overseas. Sam and the whole group at Freebirds (Sam’s business) also served in the military and small spoiler, they served with James in the military, though it does take a hot minute for the connection to appear. Sam is certainly optimistic that things between him and Cheyenne are going to get going, however, drama starts happening within the group. . .drama that involves the group of friends who served. . .drama that involves Cheyenne. . .and drama that involves time that was spent serving the country. So, go ahead and jump on the train, it’s going to take you on a pretty interesting journey.

One of the things that I love about LLV books is her ability to create a well rounded cast. While you will most likely fall for those who lead the storyline, in her books, you find yourself anticipating the stories that the supporting cast will eventually get to tell. She has this gift of doing just enough with each character that leaves you wanting to know more. James (Cheyenne’s brother) doesn’t make an appearance until well into the book, but we meet his toddler daughter very early on and there is a sliver of drama involving the baby mamma, but the dangling was just enough in giving me something to look forward to. Sam is just the beginning and once the backstory of the Freebirds is revealed, you’ll realize there is so much more to this group to learn and fall in love with. Ember is the BFF and her story is next, deservingly so. So if it’s Cheyenne you fall in love with, she gets her turn to support in Ember’s story.

I’m not sure I would’ve every cracked this series open if not for my need to sort out all of the characters that LLV has written. I think this is her first book and if so, color me impressed, it gave me everything I have come to expect with a LLV book, except for her quirky little words of wisdom prior to each chapter. But you get the fiesty leading lady who brings humor and wittiness and passion, but more importantly a leading lady who can stand toe to toe with an (sometimes) overpowering alpha.

Going through all of my Kindle books recently, I discovered that I own more LLV than any other author and I must admit, I was surprised. I thought I would at least own more Kristen Ashley, but nope, LLV won out. And now that I’m looking to add to my collection, that number is about to leave all others in the dust. BXTCHES Gotta Warn: There really isn’t a warning that goes with this book. Although, you may have a difficult time putting it down once you pick it up, but is that really a bad thing? So, basically all you need to do right now is get yourself a copy, then kick back, and enjoy.

Four Day Fling will be told through the POV’s of Poppy and Adam. . .but mostly Poppy.

Four Day Fling kicks off with just that. . .a fling. . .a one night one, until Poppy realizes that she needs a date to her sister’s four day wedding and is there really a better person to ask than the one you just met and slept with, all within 24 hours? Regardless if it’s a good idea or a terrible one, Poppy goes for it and decides to ask her one night stand. Worse case scenario, he says no and she’ll never have to see him again. . .also worse case scenario, he says yes and she has to spend four days with him and her family, all under the ruse that he’s her boyfriend.

There’s really only one reason Poppy needs (not wants) a date to her sister’s wedding. Her mother. She’s kinda already told her that she has a date and it’s just not worth the nagging she’ll face if she’s shows up solo. So, Adam’s intrigued enough to say yes and the only thing left to do is come up with a fake relationship story plausible enough to convince her mom that he’s the real deal. Of course Poppy has no idea that Adam just so happens to be a pretty famous hockey player and her family (sans her) is pretty fanatic about hockey. What in the world could go wrong?

Though Poppy and Adam are very well written and definitely do a great job leading this book, this storyline soars because of the cast of characters that brings the entire story together. The heart of this book is the wedding weekend. . .the Four Day Fling. There is a bit that happens prior and there is a bit more that happens after, but it’s the ones we meet in those four days that provides the escape. The nucleus of the cast is Poppy’s family. Her relationship with her mother is naggy, but Poppy gives as good as she gets and truth be told, I kinda dug her mom. For anyone who has sisters, you will certainly appreciate the dynamic between Poppy and Rosie (the sister), the relationship is relatable and nostalgic. There are times throughout the book when Poppy is telling Adam stories of a teen Poppy and teen Rosie and having sisters myself, those stories took me back pretty far and left me with a smile on my face. So, what I’m trying to say is that it’s the entirety of this cast that makes this book what it is.

Even though I said all of that above, I can also say that Poppy and Adam certainly stand out. They have a fantastic chemistry that comes alive. Poppy is fierce and Adam instinctively meshes with her personality in a way that accents Poppy in all the right light. What is supposed to be just a Four Day Fling comes to be much more. . .so much so, you’ll be left hungering for a follow-up.

Four Day Fling is a light read. There’s not a lot of angst. It’s centered around humor and wit and provides an escape when you may need it the most.

That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t read well by itself, I think it will (I can’t say 100% because I’ve read them all and in order). But having said all of that, I can say with absolute certainty that this series is worth the entire read, books 1-7, and in order. It flows well from book to book and the relationship that develops between the characters and the reader is so worth it.

Coup De Grace will be told through the POV’s of both Michael and Nikki.

We were first introduced to the idea of a Michael and Nikki back in book #2 (Double Tap), which happens to be the book that features Nikki’s brother, Nico. We also got the introduction to Nikki in that book since she and Georgia are BFF’s. In the books that follow, Michael gets dangled a lot, but he’s more shrouded in mystery and all it does is leave us wanting more, which comes through loud and clear in Coup De Grace

We know Michael is a member of the Kilgore SWAT team, we know that while the other guys consider Michael a brother, they also don’t know too much about him. We also know that Michael’s torso and arms are covered in tattoos, which would usually not be a talking point in an alpha heavy book, but it’s something that has been brought up in almost every storyline, so we know there is some significance to his body art and now we finally get to find out what it represents.

This is the first book in the series where the featured couple not only previously knew one another, but had a relationship as well, but a relationship that is no longer intact when the book begins. It doesn’t take too terribly long before Nikki decides to give Michael another shot and we’re off on the journey we’ve been dying to take.

Michael and Nikki getting back together is the easy part, it’s the staying together that will have you glued to the page. There’s the ex-wife, Joselin-which you somewhat met in the last book-and who also happens to work at the same hospital as Nikki, there’s disapproving parents (his, not hers), there’s Michael’s personal demons, and there’s the reason why they broke up in the first place. Take all of that and add in some crime and suspense and you got yourself a pretty damn good story.

What’s more, males tadalafil purchase suffering from infertility may also take it as studies have shown that it can provide a substantial skin lightening effect while remaining harmless to the melanin-producing cells.
Coup De Grace is the final book in the Code 11-KPD SWAT series, but no worries, the 1st book in the 2nd generation series is about to be released (January 2020), which I’m sure will have us revisiting all the ones we fell for in this series. Even though the last book (#6) didn’t revisit a lot of the characters from this series, this particular book does, while giving us some new ones in the form of Michael’s family. Not only do they all come back around, but we get to also catch up on the happenings in their lives. What I love about this series is it gave us characters that we were able to fall in love with as well as look forward to revisiting time and time again, starting all the way back with Luke and Reese. That’s why I think it’s so important to read the series in order. You miss out on that connection if you don’t start from the very beginning. Every character written for this series brings something to the story, whether it’s a character that you love or that you love to hate, they will add something that will captivate you.

Time for some truth. Going into this book with the knowledge that Michael and Nikki had an established relationship and we kept getting tickled with it throughout the whole series, had me thinking that the sexual chemistry between them would be through the roof and while it was pretty hot, other couples in the series singed just a bit more. However, just like all the books in this series, it was all written well, it just didn’t curl my toes the way I was anticipating.

There is going to be a lot going down in this book with a lot of moving parts and while I enjoyed this entire series, this book was probably my least favorite, though that’s not in any way saying that it’s a bad story, it’s definitely not. However, I just thought that there were plot lines dropped throughout the book that didn’t tie up enough in the end. I actually thought that all the characters in the book were very well written. I loved Michael, I loved Nikki, I even loved them together, I just thought that some of the side stories were rushed in being tied up and because of that, there wasn’t enough closure. Having said all of that, if I were to re-read this series tomorrow, I would re-read this one as well.

I started this series a long, long, long time ago, but never got around to this particular book. With the 2nd generation series coming out soon, I decided to give the whole series a re-read and I’m so glad I did. Lani Lynn Vale does a wonderful job at keeping the storylines fresh and interesting and the characters never bleed into one another, they all have very distinguishing personalities and give you different reasons for why you fall for them. She knows how to cover the spectrum and tie the humor to the angst to the passion to the suspense and present it all in a way that has you bouncing from one book to the next. I cannot wait for the next generation and all that it promises to give. Since this is the final review for this particular series, I do think it’s important to bow our heads and say a bit of praise for all the hotness that is on the covers on each and every book and to say a little prayer that if you ever need the SWAT team knocking down your door, that the real world is a tiny bit comparable to the fantasy in which our imagination lives. Bxtches Be Reading
