The Shortstop by A.M. Madden

Here’s the truth BXTCHES: When I first came across The Shortstop , I was super excited. I read the reviews, I downloaded the sample, then I didn’t buy. Here was my dilemma. I knew once I started this book, a couple of things were going to happen. #1: This book was going to tear at my heart and drag me through some serious agony BEFORE it gave me what I wanted. #2: I knew once I started this book, there was no just “putting it down” (isn’t it crazy when people tell you things like that?), I bought this book on a Tuesday evening, I was finished by around 12:30 midnight (same evening). Sleep, what in the hell is that when you’re cuddled up with a really good read?

The Shortstop will be told through both Annie and Quint’s POV’s.

Annie Weber and Quint Lawson has known one another most of their lives. They grew up next door to each other, their parents are best friends, so it only stood to reason that when the time came, they would fall in love. And they did.

Next to having Annie as his wife, Quint’s only dream in life is to play shortstop in the majors. They are both set to graduate and Quint’s prospects at making his dream come true is looking more and more like a reality. In fact, he just received news that he’s been picked up to play for the minor league team of the Baltimore Orioles. The only thing left to do now, is to make the girl he’s been in love with more years than not, his wife. They are actually headed to Disney to celebrate graduation from college and Quint has the perfect proposal set up. The girl of his dreams has said YES, the job of his dreams is within reach, what in the world could go wrong? **this is not a spoiler, it actually happens in chapter 4, which is about 10% into the book.

Let’s backtrack just a bit. Annie’s BFF is Daphne. She is almost the opposite to what Annie is. She’s more carefree, more spontaneous, can’t really commit to her current boyfriend Billy, which happens to be Quint’s best bud. Billy is in love with Daphne, Daphne isn’t too sure how she feels, she knows she likes him a bunch, just not sure of the “L” word. Daphne and Billy’s problems seem to always involve Annie and Quint in one way or another. Annie is really just trying to play matchmaker, even though Quint insists that she stay out of it and Quint just does what any guy would do, he’s there if Billy needs him, otherwise he keeps out of it. Even though Daphne is Annie’s BFF, she is going to cause problems for Annie and Quint down the road and add to an already broken situation.

Even though Annie is standing by her man and even though she realizes that all of his dreams are coming true, she can’t help but wonder, where she will fit in, what about her dreams. Her dream of being a teacher may have to be put on hold, so Quint can live his. Annie does eventually come to the conclusion that everything that happens is for a reason and her love for Quint is much stronger and bigger than her wanting to teach, so she makes the decision to stand by him, so he can have everything he’s ever wanted.

When Quint gets the call that the Yankees are interested, that’s it, everything he has ever wanted is starting to come into focus. They buy out his contract with the Orioles and before he knows it, he is on the field at Yankee Stadium. He has his girl, he has his dream of playing for the Yankees, everything is right within his grasp, that is until is torn from his hands.
In northern free viagra no prescription India prevalence of obesity stands at 33.4% in urban women and 50% urban women above 35 have unhealthy body shapes. There are a lot of cialis prices chemically produced medicines in the market for repairing the erectile dysfunction. So waste no time and get the viagra delivery canada drug and lose belly fat. The demand for these medicines is increasing viagra canada price irrespective of the side effects.
When Quint get injured, the type of injury that is almost impossible to come back from, his whole world goes dark. Unfortunately, Annie is starting to wonder if baseball was the only thing that made him happy. Quint is beginning to realize that he is not able to be the man that he needs to be for Annie and it would be best for her to walk away. Now, he knows that she isn’t going to take that walk voluntarily, so he becomes the biggest of assholes, in the hopes of pushing her away.

This is where The Shortstop is going to start the agonizing process of ripping your heart out, just to put it back together. The author does a really good job here in making it to where you have some sympathy for Quint, even though you want to BXTCH slap him in the process, and you have a little pride for Annie when she finally stands up for herself and decides not to be anyone’s punching bag anymore, even if it means that Quint can’t be hers. Quint and Annie are going to have to endure a lot of pain and drama, which includes the Daphne situation I mentioned earlier, in order to get to the other side and the conclusion that they are truly each other’s soul mate. This is one of the first times I’ve read a book and was unsure of the outcome. Even though going in I was pretty certain of a HEA, as the end of The Shortstop started coming into focus, I really thought that maybe this author was going throw the reader for a loop and not allow the couple to get their fairy tale. I also must say, that the baseball storyline didn’t play out as I thought it would. This isn’t a good thing or a bad thing, it was just my own prediction didn’t come to fruition.

The Shortstop has a terrific secondary cast of characters. There isn’t a lot of them, but they pack a very powerful punch. Dare I say it? You may cuss me out after I proclaim this next statement, but here goes. . .even after what Daphne puts them through (which I’m sure you can guess), I kind of felt bad for her. Usually in that type of storyline, I’m all about calling a bitch a bitch, but in this case, my heart hurt for her. Although, I do think with the Daphne and Billy storyline, she was a bitch, though we find out why later in the book. The Shortstop was that book that needed these characters to really tie together the whole story. I don’t say that because I think that something is lacking here, I say it because that’s how in depth this book is.

Is there lots of sex here? Yes. What did I think about it? Well, I thought is was well written and I thought that some of it was steamy enough, I just didn’t get all crazy about it. The author said the right things and made both Quint and Annie sexy enough for the scenes, it just felt like a panty-ripping element was missing. That’s just my opinion, you may read it and feel the need to drop your jaw and curl your toes, more power to you girl.

All in all, The Shortstop was a fantastic book. I happen to love agonizing, tortuous books like this. Usually it takes me more than a minute to finish the book, I think I was so quick here because I was holding onto it for such a long time, that when the time came to actually read it, it was impossible to put down. It takes some talent to write a character that you know at some point during the book, the reader is going to have contempt for, but then be able to turn around and really force the reader to open up their hearts and find love for them. That’s what happens here with Quint, you will realize very quickly that there is a really thin line between love and hate and the definition isn’t always so crystal clear.

Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre

I read A LOT of books. Some are good, some are not so good. Some are great and some are so well written that the story captivates you from page one and stays with you long after the last page has been read. Hollywood Dirt was one of those, captivating, sleep losing, can’t get out of my head books.

This book will introduce us to Cole Masten and Summer Jenkins and will be told through first person POV when telling Summer’s story and third person POV when telling Cole’s story (which isn’t my favorite way to tell a story, but it does get the job done).

Summer Jenkins is twenty-nine years old and living with her mother in the small town of Quincy. Quincy is a small, sleepy town in Georgia that is known not only for the amount of millionaires (and a few billionaires) that call the town home, but also because Hollywood is about to move in and start shooting The Fortune Bottle starring the now very eligible bachelor, Cole Masten.

Cole Masten’s world has exploded, and not in an orgasmic way. Arriving home early, he walks in on his wife, Nadia, wife of five years, wife he is madly in love with, having some serious, hardcore, passionate sex and since he’s on the outside looking in, it’s not his marital dick fiercely plowing into her. Even in that moment, one that crushed him, he is still willing to work it out. That is until she serves him with divorce papers. So he does what any hot, recently single, Oscar winning actor would do. He takes his single dick on a tour of Hollywood, well, Hollywood pussy to be exact. After some back and forth with his lawyer, it has been decided that it’s best for his manhood to go on hiatus and for him to get his ass to Quincy and start work on his next project. A project that he is involved in, in every facet.

Summer needs to get out of Quincy. Three years ago, the town that she has called home since she was a small girl, turned on her. This left her with no one to call a friend except her mother. Once production begins in Quincy, she finds herself on the inside for once. I’m gonna skip over some details here, but once Cole arrives in Quincy and meets Summer, he knows then and there that she is the essence of the female lead in his film and decides that he has to get her cast.

In case of major problems, one cheap online levitra must have sufficient technical knowledge and expertise. The acai berry gives your energy levels a boost and at the same time reduces http://appalachianmagazine.com/2018/11/06/i-hate-politics-because-we-no-longer-listen-as-a-nation/ cheap cialis hunger feelings. In addition, too much hand practice and some ailments such as diabetes, cardiovascular problem, hypertension, and obesity are major causes for the problem, but now every 3rd or 4th male has heard about the problem (unless you partner is leaking out the information), it order viagra from canada still cannot be called a bedroom problem. However, men can cure erectile dysfunction in tadalafil sales Clicking Here men fast with effective herbal treatment. Cole and Summer certainly have a sexual attraction to one another, but it is one that is fueled by a hate, well at the very least, a strong dislike for one another, okay, really more of her dislike for him. It’s going to take a pretty big chunk of the book for them both to pull their heads out and realize what it is that they see in one another could be it. Don’t worry, the journey they both take to reach their HEA is a journey well worth the ride.

You must know that there is somewhat of an underlying story here with Summer’s past. And you’re going to be disappointed if you think that I’m going to let you in on it. While I was worried throughout reading Hollywood Dirt that the “secret” was going to put me off of Summer, I was mistaken. The “secret” is fantastic and to the author from this reader, very creative.

Hollywood Dirt gives a very well written supporting cast. While the obvious main relationship focus here is that of Summer and Cole, the book wouldn’t have been nearly as captivating without the addition of certain relationships, especially that of Cole and his rooster, Cock. Get you mind out of the gutter, I’m actually referring to an actual rooster. This is the first book I’ve read by Alessandra Torre, though I could’ve sworn I have enjoyed her writing before. Turns out, I was getting her mixed up with someone else, foolish on my part, but true nonetheless. Anyways, if you are someone who has read this wonderful author religiously, then you will recognize Brad DeLuca. He happens to be Cole’s attorney and the focus of Alessandra Torre’s, Innocence Series, which I think I will be enjoying very soon.

What can I say about the sexual story of Cole and Summer. There’s not a lot of sex in Hollywood Dirt, but there is. I know, it’s like I’m talking out of both ends. Well, let me start here. The sexual tension that Alessandra Torre builds in this book is so tight, I’m not sure how Cole’s dick even penetrated it. It will have you on edge, while really rooting for some happy action to take place. Without giving too much away, I want to at least say this. There is a scene, it’s really “The Scene” for their relationship and after all of the back and forth and sexual tension and “that can never happen again” moments, this is the culmination of it all and to say that the connection between the two of them was searing, well, that’s not even giving it justice. Let’s just be frank, it will have you taking notes and cleaning off the counters in your kitchen. Don’t worry, you’ll understand once you get there.

I don’t know how many more positive accolades I can bestow upon Hollywood Dirt. It was a fantastic read with easy to love characters. Summer represented the South very well. She was honest, witty, hospitable, with a little bite of bitch, and of course, sexy. In my opinion, Cole is imperfect perfection. He is what you want in your male leads. He’s able to offer the type of asshole that you love. He’s funny, confident, knows how to deliver every aspect of his sexiness, but the best of all, is going after what he wants. You can really not go wrong once you open up this book. Hollywood Dirt was worth my lost hours of sleep. And I’m sure once you’ve completed it, you’ll be decorating a brown paper sack and making a Wal-Mart run. Great read.

Bleeding Love (Hope Town Series, Book #2)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Okay, I’m pretty sure you know what I’m going to say here. You know, the usual, “make sure you read the first book (Unexpected Fate) in this series before you take on this one, blah, blah, blah” and it’s true you should, but this time it’s not because Bleeding Love can’t really be read as a stand alone, because I think it can be. However, I think you should go in order for a couple of reasons: #1: This isn’t really the 2nd book of the series, it’s more like the 8th book of the series, because you really should start with the Corps Security Series first and only because it lays down the foundation for the Hope Town series (which features the offspring of the Corps Security hotties). #2: There are a lot of characters happening in these books, so much so that it would help to feature a family tree of sorts (I will try to find one and post at the end of review). #3: The most important reason, you will be doing your imagination a disservice by not reading these books, they are fantastic! So, it’s time for some Megan and Liam.

This book will be told through Megan and Liam’s POV. For a bit of a refresher, Liam Beckett is the son of Dee and Beck (book #3 in the Corps Security Series)

If you have read Unexpected Fate (book #1), then you already somewhat know Megan. She is the woman whose husband, Jack, was killed in action and who Cohen was reaching out to. So, this story will pick up at Dani and Cohen’s wedding reception, where Megan finds herself in the throws of passion with one very hot, Liam Beckett. Liam has actually had his eyes on Megan for a while, really ever since “the group” took her and her daughter, Molly, in. He just so happened to seize the opportunity presented to him at the wedding and took every advantage of it. Megan is having a really hard time coming to terms with the fact that her husband Jack, is never coming home. Now, there is certainly an underlying story here, one of which I’m not going to go into too much detail with, but I can let you in on a little.

Megan and Jack grew up living next door to one another and not in great circumstances. They were best friends, all throughout their childhood and going into teenage”hood”. Jack was going to find his way out of their dire situation through football. A scholarship was going to get him out of their small town, but when Megan finds herself pregnant, he does the right thing and steps up. They get married and he enlists to serve his country, never regretting his decision. Now, you can only imagine the type of guilt that Megan lives with, knowing that Jack gave up his dreams for her and Molly. Him dying has forced Megan to stop feeling and Liam is going to do whatever it takes to make her feel again.

Liam has always desired the kind of love he grew up watching displayed with his parents. He knew that when he came across that special one, he would just know. And he knows that he has found that in Megan,  unfortunately, Megan is going to be a little slow coming to that realization. He thought that maybe he somewhat convinced her when he gave her the best sex of both of their lives, but soon realized that he was going to have to put in a bit more work. Something scary is going to happen to Megan, and while very unfortunate, it’s almost the catalyst that forces Liam to really stake his claim.

I gotta say, you are going to love Liam Beckett here. He could quite be the epitome of perfection. He and Dani (Axel and Izzy’s daughter) are best friends and together create a “Feeling Alive” list. A check list of sorts that Liam uses to just make Megan feel again. Obviously she does come around and it is a beautiful thing to watch unfold.

The kamagra jelly has been brought in many delicious Versions It has been the most facilitating part of Kamagra’s popularity among the ED sufferers.Swallowing hard pill was analyzed as one of the reasons that kept men far away from the ED treatment: * Expensive Drug – No doubt, viagra no rx is an effective drug to overcome the condition. Lower the risks of kidney stone- We all have heard that healthy sexual relationship is the basic need for running a relationship in successful online pharmacy sildenafil manner. We are going to get some of the Corps Security (new and old) in this book and it is wonderful to revisit them, but I think the star of the “cast of support” goes to Molly. She is the 5 year old daughter of Megan and really steals the scenes that she is in. What I love here is how welcome the crew was to Megan and Molly. Almost immediately, Dee and Beck transformed into grandparents and even before that, she was stealing the hearts of Axel, Izzy, and Nate. So, Harper Sloan did a great job developing another character that I can’t wait to see more from. The one surprise for me was Nate. I really enjoyed reading him. He was so funny and so caring and he is the offspring of Axel, so you know he is super hot. But I know that you are going to fall in love with the way he cares for Molly.

Okay, I know that I’ve mentioned it before, but Holy Hot Libido, Harper Sloan wrote some pretty potent sexual greatness in this book. First, the tension that she is able to build between Liam and Megan will have you reading just to get to the actual stuff. I prefer a dirty mouth on the Alpha’s that I read and she did not disappoint with Liam. In fact, I think I could’ve just read the dirty stuff that came out of his mouth without the sex and been satisfied. Just make sure no one is reading over your shoulder for this one.

Oh boy, this one is pretty emotional. In fact, I will warn you to be careful where you are at when reading certain scenes. There is one in particular that will most likely bring tears. I just so happened to be at volleyball for my daughter, WHICH IS IN A PUBLIC PLACE, when I read that scene and it wasn’t until I started to tear up that I realized what a bad idea that was.

I’m not sure how Harper Sloan does it and honestly I don’t really care as long as she keeps doing it. She makes it impossible to put down a book and if you would’ve told me that I could possibly love the next generation of Corps Security even more than the original, I would have said you were crazy. While the jury is still out on that, I do believe it could be happening. I’m not sure who is next in this series, I’m kinda hoping for Nate, but really I know that I am going to be happy with whoever it is that Harper Sloan decides to entertain us with.

Cole (The Ride Series, Book #1) by Megan O’ Brien

ColeColeSynopsis TagColeBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Cole (The Ride Series, Book #1)

This book is the kick-off to The Ride Series and it’s going to start with the story of Scarlet and Cole. It will be told through the POV of Scarlet. Here we go.

The prologue is going to give away the fact that something creepy is happening or is going to happen to Scarlet. It is a very vague prologue, but with enough hints that you know something bad is lurking around the corner.

Scarlet left home (California) years earlier after her father’s death and she no longer felt safe. She found herself in Nevada, which was way closer to home than she originally intended. But, she found herself a really good friend in Kat and figured as long as she was careful, she would stay off of the radar. Scarlet’s dad was the president of the Sinner’s MC. Jake was her childhood friend and later her first everything. When Jake wanted to move up in the ranks of the MC and realized that Scarlet’s dad didn’t really support that and didn’t want her and Jake together, Scarlet’s dad was killed in a motorcycle accident (except, it probably was no accident). Things went from bad to worse for Scarlet and for her own safety, she knew it would be best to get away. So, needless to say, she does her best to stay away from anything motorcycle related. That is until she lays eyes on Cole Jackson, VP of the Knights’ MC.

Scarlet meets Cole when she shows up at the mechanic to pick up her car. The instant attraction is mutual, but once Scarlet takes in his motorcycle attire, she knows he is off limits. This doesn’t deter Cole, he is very persistent and soon Scarlet finds herself accepting a ride home from him and on the back of his motorcycle. But no worries, she shuts down any attempt he makes to get to know her better. That is until she runs into him at a local club. Then all bets are off.

It’s not gonna take a rocket scientist to figure out that it doesn’t take long before Scarlet finds herself in between the sheets with Cole and Cole stakes his claim with Scarlet. And if you have read any MC novel before, you also know that they will set some sort of record with moving in with one another. Scarlet will try to fight this every chance she gets. She isn’t too terribly thrilled with moving her status from “Miss Independent” to “Co-habitation”. The problem, Jake is making moves and they involve Scarlet, so what better way to keep her safe.

Profile of rapid cycling tadalafil professional cheap most frequently observed. There are a number of reasons why this medicine is preferred to consume with water to make it even better, prescription is not required to produce any prescription and in some online kamagra shop you need to pay at the time of delivery. generic tadalafil tablets Pre-ejaculation has ruined many relationships and it can push men into depression. thought about that viagra sales in india These tough task masters do bother about the http://robertrobb.com/dont-turn-the-police-into-political-footballs/ levitra properien fire in the belly of their people. C’mon, you had to know that drama was going to creep up somewhere and what better way for Cole to push the “moving in” issue. Now, Cole will bring in some drama all on his own when Scarlet opens up to him about her past with Jake, something she is very hesitant to do, but does because she feels a relationship deserves honesty, but Cole doesn’t process this information well and lashes out at Scarlet. But no worries, the serious stuff comes when Jake decides to stake his claim.

As with any MC novel, especially the first one in a series, you will get introduced to the supporting cast, because future books focus on those characters. This book is no different. It has a pretty well rounded supporting cast. In particular, Kat, Scarlet’s BFF and Sal, a member of the MC. The second book will focus on them, so their relationship is somewhat of a secondary story here.

I’m a huge fan of MC books. I was a late fan to SOA and I only started to watch that show because of MC books. My husband was already a fan, but it wasn’t a show that I took an interest in. Once I became a fan of MC books, I decided to check it out and see if the two were similar, needless to say, the show hooked me. When I read a MC book, there are certain aspects that the book needs to have. Obviously, you can’t have this type of book without a strong Alpha. I gotta say that I enjoy the Alpha to be possessive/bossy/domineering, great attributes in a Alpha, right? All in a sexy way of course. If it’s written well, it will be super sexy and with a feisty, independent female, it will balance out the “Alpha-ness” of the male. I thing that Cole and Scarlet delivered well on these traits. He was the right amount of badass mixed with softness. And, Scarlet made Cole work for what he wanted, forced him to see her worth. It’s not often that the male will let loose the “L” word first, but here he did, which added to his softness. Also, aside from the main love story of a MC book, I really enjoy reading the story of the MC. I like to read the workings of the club. This book did that, not as thoroughly as I would’ve enjoyed, but it was there. Had the book been told through both POV’s, it would’ve satisfied that requirement. I know that this is going to sound super crazy, but I do wish that the “club whores” would’ve given Scarlet a rougher time. The book almost skimmed over them and as a reader I enjoy the drama that, that sort of storyline brings to a book. But, overall, I think that this is a good MC read and I think as the series progresses, it will be even better.

It would be ridiculous if I didn’t point out one of the most important parts of a great MC read, the sex. All of that “MC maleness” needs to come out somewhere and what better place than the bedroom or up against the wall or in the shower, I digress, sorry. I do think that the sexual chemistry written between Cole and Scarlet was really good. I enjoyed the sex scenes, it’s just my expectations for MC reads and sex are pretty high, and while this book met the expectations, it didn’t exceed them.

A bonus: at only 193 pages this is a really quick read and the more books released in this series, I think the better it will get. I’m super excited about Kat and Sal’s story, there is definitely going to be some serious drama happening in their story and it’s worth looking forward to.

Fallen Too Far: A Rosemary Beach NovelFallen Too Far: A Rosemary Beach NovelSynopsis TagFallen Too Far: A Rosemary Beach Novel

Bxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

This book is a couple of years old and it’s been a while since I’ve read it, well before now anyways, but it never fails to entertain me. This is a fabulous book and series. If you haven’t yet let your imagination loose on Rosemary Beach, then you are certainly missing out and need to fix it ASAP. This book will be told through the POV of Blaire Wynn, our lovely leading lady.

This book begins finding Blaire outside the mansion of Rush Finlay, the son of rock legend Dean Finlay. It’s only been weeks since she lost her mother to cancer and even though her father walked out on his family five years earlier, he is the only family she has left and the house she finds herself sitting in front of, is the address he gave her. You should probably be aware that there is a web of relationships happening in this story and I will try not to confuse you too terribly much. Her first encounter is with Grant. Grant is Rush’s best friend/ex-stepbrother. All it takes is for Blaire to pull a gun on him for him to be Team Blaire. Oh yes, Blaire is an Alabama girl who knows how to wield a firearm. Grant introduces Blaire to the man of the house and if she was looking to be welcomed with open arms, she was let down pretty quickly.

Rush is not a very big fan of his mother, Georgianna, and detests her current husband, Abe, even more. Abe just so happens to be Blaire’s father. So his initial dislike of Blaire is really Rush just projecting his strong dislike for her father onto her. While he is an asshole from the get go, he does allow her to stay in his house, at least until she can speak to her dad and figure something else out. He may be cordial by letting her stay in his house, but don’t get carried away, he makes her stay in the maids room under the stairs. I forgot to mention that right before Blaire’s father walked out on his family, her identical twin sister Valerie was killed in a car accident. A car that their father was driving. So imagine first losing your other half, then your father leaving, then losing your mother to cancer all before the age 20.

Blaire finds a job pretty quickly at the local Country Club and becomes a hit from the start, especially with Woods, the son of the owner and Blaire’s boss. Tips are great for her, which is good, because she is getting the distinct impression from Rush that she will need to find a place of her own soon. It should go without saying that there is attraction from both Rush and Blaire to one another. Now, since we only get the story through Blaire’s perspective, we don’t necessarily know what Rush is thinking, but it’s pretty easy to figure out. He’s an asshole early on, but it doesn’t last long and his attitude towards Blaire changes pretty quickly. And he is harboring a secret that he feels will turn Blaire away forever, he’s just not willing to let her in on that secret just yet because it isn’t his story to tell.

Here’s the point that I have to tell you about Nan, since she is a huge part of this series. Nan is the half-sister to Rush (they share the same mother) and she is a MAJOR bitch and that may be me being too nice about her. Just to set you up a bit, Rush is very protective of Nan and Nan knows it and uses it to her full advantage. To give a little better understanding: Woods is interested in Blaire, but he knows that she is interested in Rush and that Rush is equally interested in Blaire. Woods warns Blaire about Nan by telling her that if it comes down to Rush having to choose between her and Nan, he will always choose Nan. I can understand sibling love and protectiveness, but Nan takes it way over the top. She goes out of her way to insult Blaire and make her feel inadequate every chance she gets. Even after I discovered the reason behind her hate of Blaire, her behavior was still unacceptable. But her character definitely adds necessary and fantastic drama to this book.

Since the book focuses on the relationship between Rush and Blaire, it’s no big secret that they hook up (I mean, look at the cover). But there are so many facets to this story, that you will constantly be wondering about the “happy ever after” for them. Unlike a lot of leading ladies, there wasn’t much that frustrated me about Blaire. Given her back story, you can’t help but have compassion for her and at least a little understanding for her feelings for Rush, even when you are thinking that she needs to walk away from him. Because on the very next page when he pleads his case, you will be right there with her saying, “give him a chance”.

This book is fantastically written and really tells a wonderful story. The supporting characters in this book really add the layer that takes this book from just being a book you read to being one that you can’t put down. It’s important to jump on their wagon, because many of them are going to get their own books down the road in this series.

The sex in this book is toe-curling. Even though Blaire is a virgin, at least when the book begins, it does not take away from the panty melting sex that is on those pages. Rush alone gives your imagination a show. It’s hot, sexy, passionate, and very well written.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of indulging yourself with a story written by Abbi Glines, well, you’re kinda crazy, but here’s what she does to a series. It’s more than just words on a page, it’s more like scenes, a movie reel that plays as you read. She makes you need the story, because once you start to read it, you have to continue it. She is one of those authors who gives meaning to the “just one more chapter”, there’s no such thing when you are reading one of her stories. This may be my first review on one of her books, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t read just one of her books. Trust me, this is a series you don’t want to miss out on. **There is a cliffhanger and the story continues in Never Too Far.

Until Trevor (Until Series, Book #2)

Those Mayson boys are back, and this time it’s Trevor’s turn to feel the BOOM. Unlike Until November, this book will be told through the POV’s of Liz and Trevor (YAY!)

We got to meet Liz in the first book, but in case your memory is starting to fail you, let me offer a reminder. Liz is the owner of the boutique that November went shopping in and immediately felt a connection to Liz. The first story also cast a small glimpse of the attraction between Liz and Trevor and this book is going to pick up from there.

Apparently on the night that July (Asher and November’s daughter) was born, things got pretty heated between Liz and Trevor and in the passion of the moment, Trevor misunderstands Liz and believes that she is a virgin. In his head that is his cue to pull away and pull away he does. Of course, this hurts Liz because he doesn’t even give her the opportunity to explain and up until then they had become really good friends. So, his reaction to her being a virgin (which she wasn’t) didn’t just sting, it pains her.

Trevor and Liz go awhile without speaking to one another. But that all changes when Liz’s brother causes some problems that force her to take a job waitressing in the strip club owned by November’s dad. This just so happens to be the catalyst that gets Trevor off of his ass and ready to claim his BOOM. He is going to have his work cut out for him, however with him being a Mayson, it won’t be too terribly difficult, because moving slow is not in their vocabulary.

Liz is going to have her own issues that she is going to have to work through in this book. The main one being the death of her dad, which happened when she was much younger, but still affects her and her desires for her future. She also has to deal with all the girls that have been picking on her for a long time, but especially once her and Trevor get together, proving the theory that some females are just bitches and not the good kind.

I’m torn in which book I prefer, November or Trevor. I liked Liz, I thought that she was very “real”. She was someone who had a horrific experience in high school, she never really fit in, but decided to be someone who was going to live her dream by opening her own shop and really coming into her own. While I think that she was written as a strong female that did a good job going head to head with the alpha likes of Trevor, I do think that she would sometimes succumb a little too easy to Trevor’s charms, however, her ability to knock Trevor off balance from time to time, makes up for it. But overall, I think she was a well developed character and I’m glad that the author gave us a bit of a preview in the first book, because it allows us to appreciate the growth of Liz. In November’s story when she first meets Liz, Liz is really reserved and backs down when she is bullied by all of the bitches and here she begins to stand her ground.

It http://icks.org/n/data/ijks/1482467975_ij_file.pdf sildenafil price in india should be borne in mind that one single reading is not a good indicator. The therapeutic use of Forgiveness in sex therapy is complicated by the unsure emotions felt toward significant others, and the love”hate levitra cost relationships with them. So check out the certification to find out where this canada pharmacy viagra institute is certified. Still you like better the new tag cheapest cialis icks.org types of prescriptions. I did love Asher, but I really loved how we got Trevor’s POV in this book. It was written very well, all alpha and all male. He did have his jerky moments, I mean, he freaked out and shut her down when he thought she was a virgin for crying out loud. But he more than made up for being jerky with his swoon worthy moments, which were often. I think that the soft moments are just as sexy as the alpha male moments. And I gotta say, one thing that I really appreciate so far in this series is the brothers not falling for the tempting ways of the loose ladies. Once they get their BOOM, that’s it, there’s no temptation too strong, love that about them.

I think that the sex here is hot, but I thought that it was hotter with Asher and November. Although, there was some up against the wall happening here, which I certainly appreciate. But regardless of which couple I preferred, it was still toe-curling goodness.

The supporting characters are still strong here and we get a few more added to the mix. Of course the main focus here is the brothers, so we get more of them than anyone, but are we really complaining about that? Yeah, I didn’t think so. This author does a great job setting you up and almost requiring you to read the next book. She sets us up great here with Cash. I won’t give anything away, but the groundwork that she lays down for Cash’s story will definitely keep you looking forward to going from the last page here to the first page of Cash.

This series started off great and is continuing to be addictive. Cash is next, then Nico, so my gut is that this series is only going to get better and better, because really, you can’t go wrong with muscles and lots of tattoos. Yum!

Sharing You (Sharing You Series, Book #1) by Molly McAdams

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: If you have ANY issue at all with infidelity, regardless of the situation, YOU WILL NOT ENJOY THIS BOOK!

This book is written from both the female and male POV’s, and it is very well done. Even though infidelity is a pretty big theme in this story, when I read Brody’s POV, I was able to understand him more and really have compassion for his situation. You will probably get somewhat frustrated with Brody, because you will want him to be a better decision maker, and even though he’s trying to make decisions as the “good guy”, you kinda want him to be the a**hole, just once. But given the ordeal he is going through with his wife and their history (and it is a whopper), you really just want happiness for him.

Kamryn (KC) is the female lead and is VERY lovable. She has a past that she is running from, while also trying to reinvent herself. She literally runs into Brody, and sparks fly. She realizes that he is “THE ONE”. Of course the problem is, he’s married. I had sympathy for Kamryn, she makes it hard to look at her as a home wrecker. You feel the love that she had for Brody, and for me, it was hard “watching” (you know what I mean) her have to go through some very tough emotions that came with being with a married man. She is torn up with the predicament that she has put her self in and questions her decisions and his intentions at every turn.

Truth: You don’t hate KC because Brody’s wife is a bitch (that’s not BXTCH, y’all). Part of you will wonder how she was able to deceive Brody for so many years. He seems like a smart guy, he is definitely a good guy (infidelity, notwithstanding), so that was a piece of the puzzle that did not fit. This is one of those rare occasions when you are rooting for the “evil”, and I don’t mean that in a horrible way. But, you know, sometimes you watch a movie and the bad guy is really the good guy and you really want them to come out on top, this is that. You also find yourself rooting for KC because of what she was able to remove herself from (her old life), her parents are real pieces of work and that ex-fiance is a toolbag.

The assured penile erection with this drug This tablet ( commander cialis) contain tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 Inhibitors (PDE5 inhibitor). About 6,400,000 Prescription had been filled in U.S for Sildenafil in Nov 1998, dispensing 500,000,000 tablets world wide. soft viagra tablets – Effective and viagra.Buy viagra prescription from Shoppharmarx.com. icks.org is the medication that is launched by the Pfizer as the branded medicine. I did adore KC and Brody together, it’s just you could almost hear Jennifer Nettles singing “Stay” in the background, every time Brody had to leave KC to get home to Olivia. So, like I said, I have compassion for Brody and I somewhat understand his “why” for staying with the wife. But here’s the thing, if you a bitch to your core, there’s no changing those colors, so past trauma put aside, everything Olivia does, is a reason to leave her. But, without the wife, there is not a book, so I get the necessary evil.

My one issue with Brody is when he and the ex-fiance meet. I will only say that Brody really disappointed me. You will have to read that scene to understand.

I will not spoil the book (anymore than I already have). Overall, I think that this is a good read. It was very well written, all of the characters were developed well, and their backstories were thoroughly explained, with no open holes (which I appreciated). So, if you are on the fence, GO FOR IT!

Stepbrother Dearest

Some of the most reputed online pharmacies like Kamagrarx.com, provide the customers with a very wide array of medications including viagra generic india, viagra, kamagra etc. There are also possibilities of sudden vision or hearing cialis pill online (sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness). Many men get depressed due to viagra discount store these following reasons- Cost-effectiveness: One of the most important reasons that many men use this pill to get a firm erection. It is the most well known pill utilized as a part of the porn appalachianmagazine.com pharmacy australia cialis business, as it permits you to perform for expanded times of time.

This is the first Penelope Ward book that I have read, and I was soooooooo not disappointed. First, this book traveled down a totally different path than I anticipated after reading the sample. I honestly thought it was going to be a bit more lighter than it was. That being said, I loved it all the same. And come on, the cover alone, screams, “Open Me Up”!

Let me begin this review by saying, that yes, he is her step-brother, and yes, she does has sex with him. But it’s not in the “taboo, incestual way”.They met as 18 year olds and only lived together for several months before he departs and not seeing one another again for 7 years. His dad and her mom just so happened to be married to one another.

This book is very well written. In my opinion it is written in the perfect way. You love the characters at the right time and get frustrated with them at the right time. It captivates you and is able to hold your attention, really making it very difficult to not look ahead. I fell in love with Elec. His story is so emotional and raw you can’t help it and you understand what Greta saw in him. Greta is a great female lead. She is strong when she needs to be and she shows vulnerability when it’s called for.

The book begins with Elec having to come and live with his father Randy, and Randy’s new wife, Sarah. Sarah has a daughter Greta who is the same age as Elec. Elec and Randy have no relationship and that’s putting it lightly, but he is forced to live with Randy until his mother is back in California. Of course, Sarah and Greta attempt, even though it’s a failure, to welcome Elec with open arms. The anger that Randy and Elec have towards one another was very confusing. There is even a point in the first half of the book, where Greta has to step in and defend Elec because Randy is just down right verbally abusing him (it will come together why in the second half of the book).

The relationship between Elec and Greta actually starts off quite typical. They get on each others nerves, he tries to push her away by being hateful, they play pranks on one another, just typical step-sibling banter. Greta however refuses to allow him to shut her out. She makes a huge effort to be friends with him. Her work finally pays off and their relationship does begin to shift and they find themselves growing closer to one another. I will not spoil the story, but I will say, that Elec eventually leaves Boston and heads back to his mother in California. They won’t see one another again for 7 years.

Fast forward seven years and the situation is stressful to say the least. They come together again in the face of a family tragedy and this is really where the love for Elec and Greta will really grow. For me, the mark of a great author is when you can feel the emotion of the characters coming off of the page, and in the second half of this book, you will most definitely feel it. I can’t speak about the second half of the book too much without giving a lot away and this is a book where you need to discover “what lies beneath” for yourself. But for me, this part of the book drew me in so much, that I was reading whenever I had even a short break. And if you really want to know how good this book is, I finished it in about a day and a half.

I won’t say much more, but if the idea of step siblings having sex with one another freaks you out, regardless of the lack of “sibling bonding”, then you probably shouldn’t read this book. But, I believe this is a really good read and you should most certainly take the chance on it.

Oh, and one more thing. . .Elec has a thing for anagrams, I suspect by the end of this book, you will too.
