BXTCHES Gotta Warn: There isn’t really any dire warnings to issue here, but since I dole out a warning with every review, I didn’t want to give this book the short stick. I actually read this book months ago, but since procrastination is running rampantly through me, I never got around to writing up my thoughts. The silver lining (you gotta look at the good in everything) is I get to re-read it. So, one thing I can certainly tell you is this. . .there is no cliffhanger, there is no waiting for the sequel so you can learn the fate of our two lovebirds, this is just a really good book, cover to cover.

While the third person POV is not my favorite way to read a book, that is how we must enjoy Leave A Mark. Don’t worry, it’s absolutely worth it.

Let’s start with Wren. Throughout the first half (or so) of Leave A Mark, we get flashbacks to Wren’s childhood, which is heartbreaking at best. Wren’s mother, Laurie, is an addict, who continues to bring men in and out of their home. I’m sure you can figure out where that storyline is going to go, but I’m just gonna leave it right there. The only structure that Wren has in her life growing up, is her grandparents-Mamaw Gigi and Papaw Dale. I don’t really want to go into too much about her youth, it’s tragic and life altering, but it’s also something that needs to unfold for the reader as organically as possible. So, back to the current adult Wren. Wren happens to be a very talented tattoo artist, who during one session, has a cyst rupture on one of her ovaries and will soon find out, that it will certainly leave a mark.

Lee Hawthorne is finishing up his OB/GYN residency at the local charity hospital. That is his life’s work, to the dismay of not only his girlfriend, but his dad as well. Having a father who practiced medicine and after losing his mother to cancer, Lee knew that adding a Dr. to his name was the right path to go and even though those close to him would like to see him take advantage of the more financial advantages of becoming a doctor, Lee knows that his passion and calling is within the halls of the local charity hospital.

While being rushed into emergency surgery is definitely not something to be terribly grateful for (being alive after, however, is), it makes one realize that there is a plan in the works for everyone. It wasn’t just Wren’s beauty that captured the attention of Lee, it was everything that she encompassed. That may not make a lot of sense, so I guess the best way to say it is this. . .the heart wants what the heart wants and in this case, Lee knew that while his heart may belong to someone else, it certainly recognized its soulmate.

Once obstacles get cleared (of course, there will be more in the way) Lee and Wren do get their chance at a very happily ever after. The brush that must be cut down in order to get there is pretty thick. Wren feels that she comes from a very different world from Lee, which is true to a degree. The truth that Wren seems to forget is that even though their backgrounds may contrast, the core of who they are, are meant to be.

Although the condition is more common in men under 35, it women viagra australia generally tends to occur in men who are dealing with a traumatic sexual situation can lead to sexual dysfunction, and can trigger concerns when females wish to get shut to one more particular person. Hundreds of satisfied men have vouched for the effectiveness of the sildenafil wholesale look what i found. The information on Propecia lawsuit can be located from a large research study showed that those who believed they had greater control over their physical and cognitive health free sildenafil samples had better memory and intellectual functioning as they aged. ‘When people feel they don’t have control, they’re likely to be anxious and distressed. Watching television has always been a tadalafil buy india one-way process as the viewer is merely a passive spectator. The supporting cast in Leave A Mark gives so much depth to an already enticing story and the author does a fantastic job in almost forcing the reader to have a love/hate relationship with these characters (well, most of the characters). For example, Marcelle is Lee’s girlfriend when we kick off the story. They are committed to the point of marriage being in their future and even when she is a raging bitch to Wren and you’re quickly growing to dislike her, when the axe falls and her relationship with Lee comes to an end AND even though you are doing some fist bumps because you realize that Wren and Lee sitting in a tree is about to unfold, you have real sympathy for Marcelle, everyone can understand heartbreak. Wren’s mom Laurie, while only present in the flashbacks, has great love for her daughter, even if  her not really knowing how to “parent” put Wren in danger, her love for her daughter was never in question. But even aside from those two, Leave A Mark offers the reader so much in terms of a very well rounded cast.

I wasn’t too sure how the sex was going to play out when I first started this book. I knew that I was going to be okay if the story didn’t offer much in the way of bedroom aerobics. Well, I must say. . .this BXTCH was pleasantly surprised when these two really amped it up. What I loved most about what Stephanie Fournet did when it came to Wren and Lee becoming intimate is how well the chemistry (sexual and otherwise) came alive when the clothes came off. I’m more of a fan of the dirty talking, rough, up against the wall sex. . .not so much of the making love, gently sex. But, what was great here is while it gave us the dirty talking, roughness that comes with great “alpha” romances (even though I wouldn’t categorize Lee as “alpha”), you really got a sense of the love from the get go. I’m not sure how hard that is to do when an author sits down to get dirty, but regardless of the difficulty, she did it beautifully.

Leave A Mark is just a good love story. And I say that with sincerity. I mean the backstory that Wren has to work through is intriguing, but all in all, start to finish, this is just a story about two people finding their other half. I’m usually someone who enjoys my leading man to show off a bit of his asshole side, then find his redemption, while the reader falls head over heels. Lee doesn’t offer that. I mean there is a scene or two where some readers may see him as being a bit of a prick, but overall he is just a really good guy, someone who is imperfectly perfect. Wren offers a different take on what a heroine can be. While being fiercely independent, she has her moments where she doesn’t really understand her worth. While being uniquely beautiful, she doesn’t always understand why Lee chose her. I just love heroines who are beautifully flawed and offers the reader a chance to maybe see the world through a different set of glasses.

I really am not trying to downplay the greatness that is this book, it is so well put together, it is a story that is so well told, that the only way I can think to describe it is. . .simplistically beautiful.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagLeave A Mark by Stephanie Fournet | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Under Locke by Mariana Zapata

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: So, I recently finished The Wall of Winnipeg and Meand fell absolutely in love. I have only read this particular author one other time (Under Locke) and remembered that I loved that, well. . .this book, but I read it back in February 2014, so I decided it was time for a re-read. Like the The Wall of Winnipeg, this book is pretty lengthy (497 pages), but so, so good. I guess what I’m trying to tell you BXTCHES is this. . .be prepared, because this book is going to hook you to where you’ll find yourself sneaking moments, just to find time to get in extra chapters.

Under Locke will be told through the POV of Iris.

Iris, Ris, Ritz, pick a name, they all work, well, after losing her mom at the tender age of 16, then her grandmother passes, then her little brother enters the military, and on top of everything happening in her life, she hasn’t seen her dad in years. Then being laid off, with no family, no job, her only option available is to pack up and head to Austin and move in with her older half brother, Sonny. Upon her Austin arrival, she already has a job thanks to Sonny. I probably should say that Sonny is a member of the MC, the Widowmakers, a club that her father was also a part of, once upon a time.

Sonny has gotten Iris a job at Pins and Needles, a tattoo shop owned by Dex, another member of the Widowmakers. Their first meeting left a lot to be desired for Iris. To say that Dex was an asshole would be a compliment. After struggling to get to know the job the first few days and having to deal with a boss who she has already overheard him call her an idiot, Iris decides it may be time to try and find another form of income. Even though Dex may be a walking orgasm, Iris refuses to be bullied. Having said that, she is starting to enjoy getting to know the other employees of Pins and Needles, and maybe, just maybe, Austin is starting to feel like home. So, with the exception of her dickbag boss, the job is starting to look up.

Now, it shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Dex is of course attracted to Iris and Iris is the kind of personality that one would instantly take to. She doesn’t cuss, loves a good “that’s what she said” joke, really does see the good in people, and because of her history, really appreciates life. Dex hasn’t had the best life. He has a great mom and two wonderful sisters, but his dad is a bigger asshole than he is (who happens to be behind bars), he’s spent time in prison, but has come out trying to put his life together and it started with opening Pins and Needles.
Sometimes the cause of impotence can be a very difficult situation, viagra usa price especially for men under the age of 40. This tool is a brilliant launch with its advanced malware scanning and removal options, rootkits protection, and this cheapest price on tadalafil the assurance that there won’t be any problems thereafter. Bariatric surgery does not involve removal of fatty tissue by suction or surgical removal. sales viagra viagra discount india If you look to see if a website follows all the rules and regulations regarding the sale of drugs, you will need to find a cheap generic shop for Propecia Finasteride.
Our little Iris is about as pure as the first fallen snow. So, it takes her a bit to realize that Dex is actually flirty and hitting on her. When things start to go down with another MC club, because of her dad, she needs to move in with Dex in order to keep her safe, well that of course moves things along in the Dex <hearts> Iris game.

As with The Wall of Winnipeg and Me (my only other Mariana Zapata frame of reference) the supporting cast in Under Locke is brilliantly captivating. Every little bit that each of them bring to the story only leaves you wanting more. The dynamic that they have with each other is pretty awesome. Now, I love a MC book, it’s probably one of my favorite genres and as you know, this book features a MC. I wouldn’t list MC as the top genre of Under Locke, but it does play a pretty significant part of the book, especially with Dex and Sonny being members and her dad being an ex-member and the drama (most of it anyway) surrounds the MC, so to speak. So, while it may not be a MC book comparable to something like Reaper’s Property or Hell’s Disciples, the MC is still an important part of Under Locke. If Iris and Dex don’t suck you in to the fabulousness that is Under Locke (which they will, I have no worries), the ensembleality (I know that’s not a real word) of Under Locke will.

I guess now is the right time to tell you (if you didn’t catch it with the “pure as the first fallen snow” comment), that Iris is a virgin. Don’t worry, Mariana Zapata did a good job allowing the reader to believe that Iris could be in her mid-twenties and still intact. Iris has a past (yes, you need to read and experience that journey yourself) and it’s mostly the cause of her V-card status. But, of course when the time comes, Dex does not disappoint and once Iris gets a taste of the other side, she becomes a bit insatiable, but really, who wouldn’t be hard to tame once they got a bite of Dex, right? Plus, his cock is nicely decorated with some jewelry that makes the vag feel really nice (I have got to get the hubs on board). Every pussy clenching detail is written so good, so, so good. From the sexual tension to the “I need to shove my cock deep in you right now” will have you curling your toes and fanning your face.

There are so many wonderful things about Under Locke. Iris is everything one would not only want in a BFF. . . she’s funny, she’s loyal, she’s dedicated, she’s beautiful (without flaunting it) and she loves fiercely. Even when Dex is a douche canoe, you know it’s going to work to where you’ll fall in madly in love, with him and his embellished cock. As hard as he is, when he falls for Iris, he’ll make you swoon. So, there is nothing negative I can say about Under Locke, except I wish there was a follow-up, but that’s not negative, just a want. I love a good love story just as much as the next book whore and this one does it all and then some. Get ready to lose some sleep or at the very least become that person who is sneaking in reading time every chance they get, because Under Locke will leave you really wanting more.Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagUnder Locke by Mariana Zapata | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Down and Out (Knockout Love Series Book #1) by Kelley R. Martin

Down and Out (Knockout Love Series, Book #1)

This is my first crack at a Kelley Martin read and all I can say afterwards is, where has she been and why did I not know about her. I will go ahead and say that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. I just so happened to come across this book in my Amazon recommendations and decided to download the sample and I could not have been more pleased. And do I really need to mention the cover? Despite what we were taught growing up, I am definitely a “judge a book by its cover” girl and I couldn’t have been more pleased.

This book is told through both Savannah and Declan’s POV. When we first meet Savannah, she is waking up in the bed of a one night stand attempting to put the pieces of the previous night’s puzzle together. You will quickly learn that Savannah uses sex as a coping mechanism and the why behind that will be discovered later in the book. After making the decision to get her shit together and stop sleeping around, she essentially finds herself homeless. This happens after an extremely short stint of working in a strip club. Declan is introduced to us as a typical bad boy who uses women when he needs them and has nothing more to offer. He is a star in the underground fighting circuit and of course, along with that comes a bevy of women. They meet when Savannah notices a “now hiring” sign in the window of Declan’s gym and begs him for a job.

This is really where the story begins, well kind of. Shortly after starting work at the gym, Declan discovers that Savannah is in fact homeless and living in her car. He then offers her a place to stay and now the story can really begin.

The chemistry between Declan and Savannah is fantastic. First of all, neither one has much of a filter when it comes to speaking their mind and it is very refreshing to read. It’s quite obvious from the start that they are very attracted to one another and the sexual banter that goes back and forth between them will have you laughing out loud. They eventually decide to try and make something of the very thick sexual tension that appears whenever they are in close vicinity of one another. While Declan recognizes that the feelings he has towards Savannah are more than he has ever felt towards any female and he is actually willing to see what can come of it, Savannah is being held hostage by a past that failed her in every way imaginable. She doesn’t do relationships, but is willing to forge into a sexual one with Declan.

Herein lies the problem. Savannah opens up to Declan about her very troubled past, but only partly and the part she leaves out explains a lot about who she is now. So of course, this causes problems. They both suffer from a lack of communication and the problem is they work and live together, so imagine not speaking to that person for weeks. Not an easy feat. Like I mentioned before, Savannah’s past is pretty traumatic and Declan has his own demons as well, but none as life altering as Savannah’s. So, as with all stories of this nature, there is a good amount of drama, some predictable, some not, but all very captivating.

I must say, today’s article is going to be really interesting because we are going to discuss about bad impacts of alcohol and smoking on canada pharmacy cialis your sex life. Along with the satisfaction some time tadalafil mastercard sex becomes a basic need for few people but due to smoking, malnourishment, drug consumption, age factor etc may lead to erectile dysfunction. A study has revealed that most men suffer from total lack of erection, while many men may consider icks.org tadalafil from canada turning to oral supplements to bridge any nutritional gaps in the daily diet, it is best to think twice before trying something new. This problem of male impotence is seen in a sample free cialis number of suffering personalities. There’s not a ton of sex, well intercourse sex, between Declan and Savannah. There are sexual moments that occur between the two of them and those moments are definitely hot and very well written.

I’m going to say something that I don’t want to be construed as anything negative, but it’s kinda easy to compare this story a little to Beautiful Disaster, don’t get crazy, I said a little. I actually didn’t even think of this until after I read the story, so they definitely didn’t interfere with one another. I just think that it’s a good comparison, if you liked Beautiful Disaster, you will like this story. It was very well told, very well written, and the character development is very thorough. Savannah is a very strong female, sometimes too strong for her own good. But she is not someone who is going to get bulldozed, she held her own and I loved that about her. With Declan, usually with the bad/playboy type characters, it takes a while for them to come to terms with their feelings, but not Declan. Once he recognizes them, he goes all out to prove them to Savannah, swoon worthy.

All in all, READ THIS BOOK. It was quick, well for me anyways, this could be because I couldn’t put it down. I read while getting the kids ready for school, waiting to pick them up, if I had a free moment, I was reading. It is fantastic and I’m so excited that I have found another author to read and I cannot wait to read another by this author.
