BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I got good news and bad news. . .the good news, In Bed With The Beast is about to hit your Kindle, Nook, bookshelf, basically your imagination is about to get inundated, which should give you some reason to celebrate. The bad news, Kiss the Girl won’t grace us until September. Let that sink in for a bit. . .and not to be a Debby Downer, but chances are your kids will already be living it up in the grade they’ve been promoted to, but the silver lining is your kids will be at school while you’re (hopefully) able to kick back and let Ariel have you laughing your ass off. Because let’s face facts, as funny as books #1 and #2 are, we all know that Ariel is gonna book end this series with a bang (no pressure Tara). Now to my actual warning. This is a series and in order to really get the full fairytale experience, you will have to read it in order. At the Stroke of Midnight is book #1 and you can check out my review here or just trust a BXTCH and purchase here.

In Bed With the Beast will be told solely though Belle’s POV.

We learned a lot about Belle in At the Stroke of Midnight. We know that she lives with her father, in the basement. We know that even though Belle is an adult, she needs to be snuck in and out of said basement. We know that the local library where she works is about to be shut down and her passion to save it is what has her finding friends in Cindy and Ariel and the birth of the Naughty Princess Club. They do say that necessity is the mother of invention and that rings true for strippers as well. And lastly, we know that that it’s gonna be about Belle and Beast, name association aside, the hostility between the two of them in book #1 was a clear sign that the attraction was definitely there.

This Once Upon a Time begins when Belle gets kicked out of her house. When Vincent (Beast) finds her living at the library, he offers her a place to live and since she is becoming desperate to save the place she loves the most, she needs Vincent to help her come out of her shell. . .to use her nerdy sexuality. . .to have laps begging for a little bump and grind. And while she may not be a virgin (though Ariel is not be entirely convinced), she is most certainly lacking experience. . .with men. . .enter The Beast.

What starts out as an experiment, a learning/teaching moment if you will, quickly turns into much more. C’mon now, what did you BXTCHES expect? You can only practice the art of seduction so many times before you’ll need to fall on a dick. . .literally. But we won’t go into too much more detail. Just know, like with all good fairytales, things are not always as they seem. And there is a lot at stake for Belle. Her library on the brink of closure, her relationship with her dad is falling apart, she falling for someone that they call Beast, and her BFF’s have signed her up for internet dating. What in the fuck could go wrong? Well, Murphy’s Law may very well ring true.

If you have already sank your teeth into At the Stroke of Midnight, and we’ve discussed this, so I hope you did in fact heed my warning, then you already know all about this great supporting cast, because it was through book #1 that the introductions were made. While we still get the laugh out loud moments between the ladies, In Bed with the Beast focuses more on Belle and Vincent and the other relationships really do take on a secondary role, but don’t fret, the interactions that do happen will give you everything you need. . .at least until book #3. Mrs. Potter is a new addition and she has become my new senior citizen goal, my husband better look out. We also get to meet Belle’s dad and while you may hate him at first, in the end, he’ll leave you with a smile on your face.

This is the point where we gotta discuss the sex. Sometimes (in my opinion) there is a fine line between writing great comedy and also being able to make the sex scenes, well. . .sexy. Tara Sivec does a great job of balancing the funny with the fucking. Now, for Belle and Vincent the hotness is really derived more from the  sexual tension that tethers these two together. There is sex, I don’t want to alarm you, but it’s the chemistry that is super hot, it’s the allowing herself to break free from the metaphorical shackles that has dominated her adult life that’s sexy. And let’s not leave out the lap dances that she becomes an expert at. . .thank you Cindy.

I wasn’t sure what we were going to get with Belle and Vincent. I knew it was going to be funny, but book #1 was so well thought out and new (I hope that makes sense) and we all know that Ariel is going to trap us from page one and not let up until it’s time to say goodbye to The Naughty Princess Club, so we kinda had Belle somewhere in the middle. But the unsureness was for nothing because our princess broke free and took on a mama’s boy, an egotistical ass, a threesome request, and ultimately a beast. . .and conquered. They do say that it’s always the quiet ones you gotta keep your eye on.

What I love about reading Tara Sivec is her ability to create a world that not only lets the reader immerse themselves in it, but the characters that she is able to pull from her imagination are so relatable, that it’s easy for the reader to create a relationship with them. I don’t know any strippers who use princesses in their act, actually I don’t know any strippers at all, but that doesn’t negate the fact that I would add them to my friends to find list. . .if I kept one.

So, we’re two books into this adult fairytale world and I’m stoked and sad all at the same time because with Ariel will come the end. But her story doesn’t come out until September, which is close to Halloween, which could inspire some of you BXTCHES out there to kick start your own Naughty Princess Clubs. Maybe it’s time for a #revolution.

Shade (FMX Series, Book #1) by Shey Stahl

Shade by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comShade by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comShade by Shey Stahl | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This was my first crack at Shey Stahl and to say that I was blown away would not be saying enough. I first read Shade back in August (2017) and I couldn’t put it down, but as things usually go, I didn’t take to the keyboard right away and days turned into weeks and so forth. I knew in order to give Shade and Scarlet justice, I would need a re-read and when I saw that Tiller was out, I figured. . .no time like the present.

Shade will be told in three parts and through the POV’s of Shade and Scarlet. And from deep in the soul of my Kindle, I would like to give Shey Stahl a shout out for her inner Shade, because praise be, it was phenomenal. And while I’m throwing out praises, another one needs to go out for that fuck hot cover.

There’s a lot of foundation that needs to be laid to tell this story and since Shade is where we’re starting, this is where we need to begin to build. But I probably should use this time to note the following. I will try to give a “rundown”, but this is a book full of layers and emotion, and heartbreak and love. . .it’s a journey really and if you don’t turn yourself over to every word of it, you will miss the best parts. Now, let’s get started.

Shade is the youngest of the Sawyer boys men and even though he’s at the top of his professional game, his personal life is about to wreck him, because of one person. Rhya.

I promise you BXTCHES, nothing is getting spoiled, whatever words that may fly from my fingertips will be discovered VERY early in the storytelling. So, back to Rhya.

She’s not the girlfriend, but she’s more than a friend. She’s not good for him, but he can’t seem to let go. They’ve known each other since they were kids, so while their relationship may be rooted in love, it’s also tethered by obligation and time. It’s really one big hot mess, but regardless of the how’s and why’s, Shade’s life is about to be imprinted in a big fucking way.

Scarlet Rose is keeping busy in life cleaning up at the Wellington Hotel, the one hotel that the Sawyer brothers stay at while in Seattle, she also spends time fangirling over the best motocross rider in the world. . .that’s Shade Sawyer in case I didn’t make that clear and you didn’t catch the synopsis from above. Her one goal? To slice him a piece of her pie. That’s fuck him, in case I didn’t make that clear either. Unfortunately for Scarlet, Shade is in a very dark place (remember, Rhya. . .imprinted. . .) and fortunately for Scarlet, Shade is in a very dark place. I told you, it’s a journey.

You’re probably wondering how in the hell this all comes together or maybe you’re not, but I’m gonna tell you anyway. Well, I’ll tell you a little. The Sawyer brothers are in need of a personal assistant, their’s is preggo and needs some time away from the chaos to get ready for her own version of chaos. So, the opportunity falls right into Scarlet’s lap and even though she doesn’t have the first clue about what it takes to be anybody’s personal assistant, she scoops it up because. . .Shade. The only rule? No sex. And not only is that a buzzkill for Scarlet, but when Shade starts desiring a piece of the pie, things are going to get a bit frustrating. Frustrating for Shade. Hilarious as fuck for the reader.

I hate to leave you hanging, but this is the part where I tell you about the journey and how great it is and how much you BXTCHES are gonna love the discovery of Shade and Scarlet. But no worries, we have other things to talk about.

It’s expected that the reader is going to fall in love with the ones the author designates, but this may very well be a time that when the last page is turned, you will be in love with each and every person in this book. And I know that’s probably happened before, but with Shade it was different (for me). I don’t know if there are words to describe how great the cast is in this book. Each character was so well thought out, so well purposed and each and every one is written in a way that flows and fits right where they’re supposed to and once you fall into the pages, you won’t be able to imagine it any other way. Scarlet isn’t your run of the mill leading lady. She’s almost anti, but she’s feisty and funny and loyal. Shade will break your heart and piss you off and make you laugh, and you’re gonna love every emotion he evokes. But that’s just the tip. . .there’s Tiller and Roan and Milla and Camden and Willa and Tom. . .the list could go on and on, but trust a BXTCH, you’re gonna fall. On a side note, Milla is Scarlet’s BFF and she has her own story, one that I have yet to read, but didn’t know it existed at the time I was undertaking Shade, but here is the link to that book, just in case. (Click here). Bonus. . .it’s available right now (as of 4/10/18) on Kindle Unlimited.

The sex in Shade is fuck hot, but here’s what’s strange, there’s not a whole lot of it. So I guess I should really say that the sexual tension in Shade is fuck hot. We learn almost from jump street how Scarlet feels about Shade and all that she wants to do to him. Where the anticipation gets thick is when he begins to want the same things from her. But remember, sex is not an option according to Scarlet’s contract, but what Shade wants, Shade usually gets. And for someone not usually told no, you can see where that’s gonna be headed. Nothing is off limits. From the dirty talk to the foreplay, the heart is gonna race and the toes are gonna curl.

My first time with Shade, I thought that this was one of the best books I have read, like ever. Which is a pretty huge thought considering how many books I have put away. The second time around? Same conclusion. It wasn’t just the story Shey Stahl told, though she told it very well. It was the way the dialogue flowed, it was the way the POV’s were presented to the reader, it was the humor, it was the angst, it was the darkness, it was the love, it was really how it all came together that captivated me. My kids tease me about the facial expressions I make when I read and I became so ingrained in this story that I’m afraid to even know what my face was saying throughout the journey.
viagra canada no prescription It might have been more appropriate had the Obama people been able to select Art Carney, he who played the marvelous Ed Norton on classic TV’s “The Honeymooners.” Art’s Norton experience would fit right in with Obama. In any case at times men are simply not equipped to canadian pharmacy cialis perform effectively. Proper care can contribute viagra low cost to a good sexual health.
I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but truth be told, it’s kinda hard not to when you’re looking at the cover for Shade. Who knew that a simple one click would have me falling in love with the world of freestyle motocross and those who inhabit it? And beyond falling in love with all of that chaos, I really fell in love with an author and while I haven’t read every word she’s written, actually not even close, anyone who is able to seduce and allow the reader to forget everything around her and provide an escape, even if only for a couple of chapters at a time. . .deserves to make your list. And since I have already devoured Tiller, trust a BXTCH, she ain’t no fluke.

Accidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens

Accidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comAccidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comAccidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: If Katherine Stevens has yet to make you laugh out loud, then it’s safe to say that you are missing out. Accidental Man Whore is a stand alone, so there is no pre-requisite required to enjoy, but while we’re here, I should go ahead and tell you about her Going Down series. That is the series that first introduced me to this wonderful author, which makes sense considering it was her first. Her humor somewhat reminds me of Tara Sivec. Not that they’re the same, but I’m willing to bet a girls night out with those two, will end in the most memorable way.

Accidental Man Whore will be told through the POV’s of both Miryam and Ben.

Let’s start with Ben, because with a book titled, Accidental Man Whore, surely there are questions a swirlin’. In Ben’s defense, it really is an accident. Ben is busy living life as a plant “doctor” and this comes complete with the kidnapping van and all. Oh and he’s a dad. . .to a ferret with birth trauma. So life is pretty good, until ass cancer grabs his dad by the, well. . .ass. Ben has already lost his mom to cancer and losing his dad the same way just isn’t an option. So, when one of the offices that he provides plants for offers him a nice chuck of change to hang out and party with some “clients”, it’s an offer that he can’t refuse. . .all for the sake of his dad’s ass.

While Ben’s life was trucking along great, Miryam’s is fantastic. She’s living her dream as an attorney, she’s engaged to the man of her dreams, and with the exception of her Bubbie losing her eyesight, her friends and family couldn’t be better. So, I guess the question is, how does a prostitute (accidental or not) cross paths with a betrothed attorney? Well, there’s a beginning to every love story and this one starts with ass cancer and a blind grandmother.

Turns out the love of Miryam’s life, is not and in an effort to not let down what she believes is a fragile grandmother, she decides she needs a fake fiancé and since Ben needs money to pay for his dad’s cancer treatments, it should be a match made in heaven. Oh, I should probably mention that Miryam, her family, and her ex are Jewish and Ben isn’t. And this is where the fun begins.

Katherine Stevens does a great job surrounding the ones leading the story with a great supporting cast. Both Ben and Miryam have their own stories working before they ever bring it all together and while they certainly stand great on their own, it’s the ones that surround them that make it come alive. It’s rare that cancer and the effects it has on one’s family will not cause one to shed tears, but there will be none trickling down the cheeks here, Ben’s dad gives Grumpy Old Men a run for their money and if we could all have the gumption in our older age that Miryam’s grandmother does, we’ll all be living great lives. Everybody, from the BFF’s to the ferret with birth trauma, they will all give you a story you won’t soon forget.

I’m not an author, no where close, but I somewhat assume it may be a bit difficult to write the sex scenes with enough steam to curl toes while keeping the storyline on the side of comedy. But, difficult or not, Katherine Stevens brings it. One does not just become a Accidental Man Whore if one is just average looking and if you’re looking for a bit of visual inspiration, just check out the cover above. So, suffice it to say. . .it’s steamy enough to curl some toes and then some.

I’m currently re-reading a book that is very layered. . .suicide and addiction and heartbreak and abuse and so much angst. . .just emotion after emotion, which makes my love for a book of this nature that much greater. Most books I read usually offer a great escape, but it’s the rom-com’s that give me what I need right when I need it and if that makes me a cliché, then so be it, the truth is the truth. Katherine Stevens if fucking funny and if a laugh out loud escape is what you’re looking for, then stop the search. This BXTCH cannot wait to see what her imagination is bringing us next.
Far better yet, make sure it doesn’t even work for you – as an hypertensive, to add insult to injury! Why, then, don’t you go for something natural that will give you equal or even greater satisfaction – and will always cialis professional work for you, in any condition? Indeed, erectile dysfunction can be a big nuisance and could easily ruin a long standing relationship it has taken you so much pain and. Erection problem is now increasing day by best tadalafil day it is common. It is a high quality medicine that comes in your thoughts would be whether oral medication like online ordering viagra or Silagra really works in females or is there any other substitute to increase the sexual desire of men. But you heed to take the medicine in a specific quantity buy sildenafil india or else it will have a negative effect on certain people’s color vision.
