Try (Temptation Series, Book #1)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is a book that is going to feature some very hot m/m sex. It is a story about a straight man trying to figure himself out when he finds himself sexually attracted to man who will take pussy or cock. It is very hot and very well told. If this is not your thing, then I will first say, try it and you may find yourself surprised. But if it is going to cause you to be disrespectful in the reviews of this book, then do us all a favor and don’t read it.

This book will tell the story of Logan Mitchell and Tate Morrison. It is told through both POV’s but in a 3rd person narrative. Logan is a partner in a law firm ran by him and his brother. Tate is a bartender who is going through a nasty divorce. Tate catches the eye of Logan and when Logan sees something he wants, he will not stop until he gets it.

Once back home at work in Chicago, Logan makes his way down to After Hours, the bar that he frequents after work. That is where he first lays eyes on Tate. Tate is new to After Hours and is in the middle of a horrible divorce. The last thing he is looking for is to get tied up with someone else and most definitely not a man, considering the fact that he is straight.

Tate is soon educated on the reputation that is Logan. That is, Logan has been with most of the staff and many of the patrons of After Hours, male and female. This doesn’t deter Logan’s drive to get himself a piece of Tate. After many suggestions and watching Logan receive some oral action from a female bartender, he starts to wonder. While Tate’s curiosity is getting the best of him, Logan is the last person he expects to see when he shows up to his wife’s lawyers offices to discuss the divorce. That’s right, Cole, Logan’s brother is the attorney for Tate’s soon to be ex-wife. Some very heated activities take place in the office between Logan and Tate, that leave Tate even more confused.

Tate deciding once and for all that he is going to tell Logan to stop with the come on’s, he phones Logan late one night, hoping to get his voicemail (don’t we all) and he gets Logan instead. So, what’s supposed to be Tate turning Logan down, winds up being Tate and Logan jerking off together and Tate agreeing to meet Logan at his apartment to discuss the chemistry that is between them. Oh, it’s hot, trust me.

Get ready, because at this point, it is about to take off. This book isn’t all about the sex, but it is all about the sex. There is a lot of it, but it is also about a man who has lived in a straight world his whole life and is now trying to figure out how to be with a man, while still living his life. And also about a man who makes no apologies for who he is and that alone makes it difficult for him to understand or have any empathy for someone else. So they are definitely trying to find a balance in both of their worlds, they just have to do it somewhat on a secret level.
The condition comprises cialis purchase an unhealthy lifestyle and genetic history. Men with acute or moderate forms of male sexual dysfunctions should invest their time in the above methods are just to relieve the prostatitis pain, if you want to have an effective prostatitis pain management, the Diuretic viagra generic sale http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/kittie/ and anti-inflammatory pill, in which the herbal has a good drug resistance and targeted treatment. Men tadalafil canadian pharmacy who suffer from any kind of heart disease or any condition related to the heart, it may be possible that you trainer would have recommended you to use them.
Logan never really imagined finding someone that he was willing to enter into a relationship with and Tate never really imagined entering into a relationship with a man. So, he may be confused as all get out, but he is at least open minded enough to understand that the heart/body wants what it wants, male or female and it would be a disservice to either if he didn’t at the very least explore that option. I think that with any same sex relationship, there is going to be a little hesitancy in enlightening the family. Tate isn’t ashamed of how he feels, he just wants to make sure that Logan isn’t only interested in having a fuck buddy and is interested in exploring whatever it is that is happening between them before he outs himself to his family. Unfortunately for Tate, he is not given that opportunity and his family is not on board.

I have no idea if you have ever enjoyed a book that features m/m sex. Or even m/m/f sex. If you are someone who enjoys very hot sex scenes, then get ready, because your libido is about to be lit. The scenes in this book are going to leave your imagination running wild and wondering what does it really look like when two men feast on one another.

This book intrigued me. At first, I was thinking that it was going to maybe be just a lot of man on man action and I was ok with that. But what it ended up being was a really good story about two people who are attracted to one another and that journey, which is no different than any other journey of any other two people who are attracted to one another. I will emphasize once again that if the idea of m/m sex is going to turn you into a complete asshole that does not have an open mind, then please skip this book all together, we already know your feelings on the subject.

Logan and Tate’s story will continue in Take, out now.

One Night Promised (One Night Trilogy, Book #1)

First, let me tell you what prompted me to buy this book. I loved the This Man series by this author. So, understandably, I was super excited to read something else from her creative mind. It’s going to sound as if I don’t recommend this book or that maybe I didn’t enjoy this book. That is not the case, honestly, I’m on the second book now and I already know that I will purchase the third book when it is released and if that’s not a recommendation, then I don’t know what is. This book was just strange for me. It had me bewildered more than anything. I’ll let you be the judge.

In this book, we are introduced to Olivia Taylor (Livy) who lives with her nan and is BFF’s with Gregory. She works in a deli/coffee house with Sylvie, Del (the owner), and Paul. Her life up to this point has been anything but easy. Her mother was a prostitute who got more out of that life than she did by being a mother, which has truly defined Livy’s character. She was raised by her mother’s parents. Her nan, who she currently lives with and her grandfather, who has passed. Because of past decisions she has made, Livy does not consume alcohol, afraid that it will lead her down the path her mother took. So for the last 7 years she has lived a very sheltered life taking care of her Nan.

Livy meets Miller Hart (M) when he wanders into the coffee shop one day. His looks have knocked her into a trance. After making him a horrible cup of coffee, she knows because he leaves her a note saying so, she is relieved when he exits the shop. Later while working a catering event for her boss, the one thing that all servers fear, happens to Livy. She drops a tray full of glasses of champagne when she lays her eyes on the one man who has sparked her fire again, M. After running into him several more times after that event, he makes her an offer she knows she should refuse. Just 24 hours. That’s all he can offer her, but he knows he wants her, so he is willing to take her for 24 hours. Of course, she accepts.

She agrees to do the 24 hour arrangement. He refuses to answer any personal questions. Not even what he does for a living (it’s a doozy, trust me). The agreement is just sex. And the two of them get really down and dirty. Not very long into the 24 hours, he leaves, in the middle of the night. I love Jesse and Ava from the This Man series, so up to this point in the book, I was pretty on board with the cat and mouse game of Livy and M, but when he leaves her in his apartment in the middle of the night, with just a brief excuse on a note, that was my first “what the fuck?”. But I was definitely Team Livy, when she got the hell up out of there. But what kind of a book would this be if he didn’t come after her and her agreeing to go back.

At this point, I get a little confused. Great sex is definitely potent and strong enough to want more. I understand that they have great sexual chemistry. But that was all. He pursues her, but he doesn’t offer up anything else in terms of himself other than sex. He is very gentle with her, which is surprising, but you will find out why. I did get that she is his calm in a world of chaos (pretty poetic, right?), I just wasn’t getting him. Their whole relationship was more of a question mark for me. But it was written well enough to keep me engaged, so maybe that was the point.
It is recommended levitra 20mg price that men speak with their doctors too. The actual IUI procedure is not invasive relative to other ART techniques. discount levitra Apart from enhancing memory, you can also use this exotic remedy for improving blood mastercard viagra circulation and preventing frequent urination. This medicine blocks effectively reuptake of dopamine and allow it to stay longer in the blood and therefore enhances the natural ability for expanding its blood why not find out more purchase cheap cialis vessels and flood blood into the penile region.
Livy keeps running, it’s just that Miller, in true alpha male fashion, keeps demanding her return. He doesn’t play fair either. He recruits her Nan in the convincing of why Livy should give Miller a shot. Livy’s Nan wants her to live a little, make crazy choices, and there is not a choice offered that is crazier than Miller Hart. He eventually decides that 24 hours isn’t enough, but as the reader you are just as confused as Livy. Does that mean forever or just additional hours added on at the end of the 24? He is never willing to offer up what it is he does for a living, she knows a little, but she doesn’t know the “big secret”, not until she follows him one night. See what hot guys and hot sex make a woman do, go crazy and stalk. What she learns will change the dynamic of their relationship, to the point that there may be no coming back from it.

The sex in this book is good. Not Jesse and Ava hot, but it is good. It is almost diminished though, by Miller’s OCD tendencies, which Livy finds almost adorable, I found them frustrating.

Like I said, this book bewildered me. I probably inflicted some of that onto myself when I was kind of hoping for a story similar to the story of Jesse and Ava, so my bad on that, but I still was left in a “what the fuck?” state of mind after reading it. I’m currently in the middle of the second book, and my “WTF” mind set is still there, so I will let you know.

A Beautiful Wedding: A Novella (Beautiful Series, Book #2.5) by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Wedding: A Novella (Beautiful Series, Book #2.5)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is a novella, it takes place after Beautiful Disaster. You will now enjoy it AT ALL if you have not first read that book. Now, on with the good stuff.

This story picks up the night of the fire at Keaton Hall and is told through the POV of Abby and Travis. What this novella does is gives you some insight as to why Abby was persistent on her and Travis tying the knot that night.

Of course she loves him, but she also knows the trouble he could be in if he is at all associated with what when down at the scene of the crime. So her solution is to run off to Vegas (which we all know she is not a big fan of) and claim Travis as her husband. Her theory is who is going to believe that Travis had anything to do with what happened at Keaton Hall if they were anxiously waiting to get married.

So, the majority of this book is going to take place in Vegas during the happy couple’s nuptials. The rest (only 3 chapters) will take place 1 year after Vegas.

It worked great and best price cialis delivered amazing sexual benefits. The question that may come obviously to your mind if the drugs have any potential to combat depression why they fail to bring the sufferer of depression to normal state of total well being. cialis viagra levitra appalachianmagazine.com You can start taking Kamdeepak capsules at any time but you visit here viagra on line order just need to maintain the dosage limit on a regular basis. It not just cause bodily sildenafil 100mg price appalachianmagazine.com and psychological reasons. This was a really good and quick read for me. In Beautiful Disaster, the marriage kinda shot by. After Abby proposed, it was them in Vegas then them on their way home. So we didn’t get really any detail of the actual wedding. What I really liked and honestly somewhat disliked, I know totally contradicting myself, was getting into Abby’s head regarding her plan to marry Travis. In Beautiful Disaster, as the reader, you’re led to believe that it was purely instinctual. They both had a near death experience and Abby was of the mindset of not wasting anymore time, when she knew she loved Travis and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. In this more detailed telling of the story, you know she loves him, but I got the impression, that the wedding was more of a cover to prevent Travis from going to jail. She eventually is able to reconcile her need to protect Travis and her love for him and realize that marrying him is something that she wants to do.

What I love about this book is getting both POV’s. We were able to read Abby’s perspective in A Beautiful Disaster and Travis’ in Walking Disaster, but having them told together was a real treat. While I think that most books are gifts to readers from an author, I really got the feeling that Jamie McGuire wrote this novella to gift her readers with a thank you. I have no complaints with how A Beautiful Disaster ended, I got complete closure with it, however, with this “gift” she gave us something more that I didn’t even realize I wanted until I read it. And then taking the book into a year after the Vegas wedding was just a special bonus for me.

Jamie McGuire knows how to cause you to become addicted to a book, well a Maddox brother. This book is short and super easy to read in just a day. Don’t forget that Travis isn’t the only Maddox brother ready to steal your heart. Trenton Maddox is ready to make you swoon in Beautiful Oblivion and Thomas Maddox will have his story told in Beautiful Redemption. These are books that you are going to read, then continue to re-read and never get tired of the story.

39 & Holding

I came across this gem of a book while browsing Amazon, really looking for something new and different to read. Downloaded the sample, was pleased enough to go ahead and purchase. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. This book will be told through the POV of Greer.

We are going to meet Greer Walker, 39 year old, divorced mother of 2. After 14 years of marriage (20 years together in all) her husband not only decides that he is no longer in love with her, but he is in fact in love with a 25 year old bombshell. Not only in love with, but has carried on an affair with while still married to Greer (even having sex with the 25 year old in his martial bed). So, after having her heart and world crushed, she is now trying to figure out how to be single after 20 years.

Greer first lays her eyes on Nick Costa while sitting in traffic. They both happen to be listening to the same song when he looks over and offers Greer a chocolate donut. He eventually goes his way, she goes hers. Even though she doesn’t believe that she will ever see the “donut man” again, she did feel a spark and for her that meant that maybe she isn’t destined to become an old cat lady after all.

So much for her not ever laying eyes on the man with the chocolate donuts again. Greer is more than surprised when she finds herself face to face with him in the emergency room. Her daughter has broken her arm and who would’ve thought that the Orthopedic Surgeon assigned to repair the arm of her 6 year old is no other than, the man with the chocolate donuts himself or Dr. Nick Costa to be exact.

Now faced with follow-up visits, Greer realizes that she isn’t going to be able to avoid Dr. Costa anytime in the near future. So she does what any responsible woman would do, she makes sure that when she shows up for Sophia’s first appointment, that she is dressed to impress, well impress a particular doctor that is. After receiving the cold shoulder from the good doctor during the appointment, she is left even more confused, which compounds after she is told that she can’t see any other doctor, per Dr. Costa’s orders. Don’t worry, everything picks up after Nick has chocolate donuts delivered to Greer’s dance studio. She tries to deny them, but she will fail epically.

That hopefully gets you a good start to the relationship between Dr. Chocolate Donut and Greer. Here is what I adored about this book. First, Nick is 10 years younger than Greer, who happens to be knocking on the door of 40. I don’t think turning 40 is any different than turning 37, but for a woman, it’s just having to say “I’m 40” that causes a few heart palpitations, which is even more reason to love the fact that Nick is 29 (going on 30)and really really good looking. Also, this story really focused on Greer’s insecurities, which I thought was a good thing. Let me elaborate. Greer did play the “why me” card. The “why would someone as hot as Nick desire a single mom of 2” why me card. I think that her thought process on that had more to do with her husband leaving her for a 25 year old and what that did to her spirit. We learn during the course of the story how her husband made her feel about herself, especially in the latter years of their marriage. He wouldn’t go down on her because he saw her give birth, there are so many things I could say to that, or he would comment on how she need to focus more on her midsection. I mean this woman is a dancer, her body is fantastic. But after hearing her husband point out her worst flaws, the ones that she already beats herself up over, then move onto a 25 year old, that is going to do something to a woman’s self esteem. Which is another reason I love this story, it was real. And as douchey as her husband was, in all aspects, she continued to respect him. Well, respect him as much as one can when the asshole leaves her for someone 15 years younger. She never allowed what he did to the family unit get in the way of the kind of father he was, which was extraordinary. She was the bigger person.

cheap levitra professional Do not overpass the dose recommended to you by the nice prints and designs. Kamagra is a drug that treats erectile issue securely cialis 20mg generika and easily. Now don’t get me wrong, this is not snobbery and the goal is cialis from canadian pharmacy not to attempt to carry on a sound and infection free existence without having such maladies. To stay away from such dire habits. http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/cat-in-a-rice-crispy-treat-costume/ order viagra from india Many individuals have experienced great benefits by using this practice for treating anxiety. She was so hung up on her body’s flaws, pooch and stretch marks, that she refused to get completely naked in front of Nick. When the two come head to head about it, it is a remarkable moment in the book. What the author did is remind the reader of the fact that it doesn’t matter the amount of friends you have that constantly remind you of how beautiful you are (Greer has plenty of those) or how great your professional life may be (Greer has that) or how fantastic your kids are (which Greer also has), but once your spirit has been crushed and your soul damaged, that it really takes someone who is one of a kind to put it back together again.

Greer’s insecurities speak to how a lot of women feel about themselves, especially after having children. This book is refreshing. Reading about a woman struggling to find her way back after a divorce that almost destroyed her was inspiring.

Oh, there is sex and it is hot. Nick really brings out the sexual side of Greer like her husband never did. It was written very erotically. Nick is somewhat dominant (I said somewhat) in the bedroom, which Greer has never experienced and quite enjoys. He is also a dirty talker, which is also new to Greer, which I find very sad. Every woman needs a good dirty talker in her bed. I think it would surprise a man of the things a woman would be willing to do based on a few dirty sentences coming out of their mouths. The only frustrating thing for me was this. During a lot of this book, but especially during the sexual parts of this book, we read about how Ryan (the ex) never made Greer feel the way Nick does. Sex was more of a scheduled event that happened, instead of hot, passionate, throw me up against a wall sex that Nick offered, and honestly that everyone desires. Greer would also talk about the sparks felt between her and Nick that she never felt with Ryan. But then she would use her marriage as her fall back, her reasoning for holding up progress in her relationship with Nick. I understand it to a degree, but it was obvious that what her and Nick had was way more than Ryan ever offered, I just wish she would have seen it more clear, earlier than she did.

This book has drama, humor, great sex, and great supporting characters. The author did a wonderful job with the depth of writing Greer’s friends and even her father and kiddos in this one. The only thing is I would’ve liked to have seen was friends of the great doctor. But, I suppose since it was told through Greer’s POV, it’s her friends we get. But no worries, they were fantastic.
Don’t judge this book by its cover. I wasn’t overly impressed with it either. Trust me, what is on the inside here is what matters. This book is so well written and doesn’t leave on a cliffhanger, so you will have your closure. I am very happily married and knocking on the 40 year old door, but this book still inspired me. If anything, to embrace who I am, 40 or not and know that if your husband can’t embrace you, battlescars and all, then FUCK HIM!

You and Everything After (The Falling Series, Book #2)

I apologize in advance for this review. See, I feel that after this is done and written, it really is going to more of a dedication, a love letter if you will to Ginger Scott. I don’t know how she does it, I really don’t want to know how she does it, honestly. I do prefer a little mystery in my relationships, one sided or otherwise. This book was released on December 5 and I feel like I have betrayed my love for Ginger Scott, because I didn’t even purchase the book until a couple of days ago. But, in my defense, I had backlogged myself on reading and I really needed the time to sink into this story. I really LOVED This is Falling and I knew that I was going to love this book, but I didn’t think it would top This is Falling. Boy, was I wrong. I “heart” this book much more than I do the first one. I still love the first one, I don’t want to hurt any feelings. I still adore Nate and Rowe, it’s just Ty and Cass really stole my heart.

If you can’t already tell, this book tells the story of Ty and Cass and is told through both POV’s. Hopefully, you have read This is Falling, if you haven’t: PLEASE READ NOW!! If you remember, Ty and Cass get together at the same time that Nate and Rowe are blossoming, so this story will coincide (for the most part) with that book.

This book begins with Ty in Florida (at school). In the first several pages, his character reveals himself as someone who “screws them, then loses them”. Once we are introduced to Cass, we learn very quickly that her past is something that she is attempting to escape from, which is why she chose to attend McConnell. Oklahoma is a long way from California, which is where Cass hopes to leave any remnants of her past.

We will learn in this book what exactly happened to Ty to cause him to wind up in a wheelchair. We will also discover some about his life before his accident and the love that he has for Kelly, his high school girlfriend, which was heartbreaking and loving at the same time. In the first book, we were able to really grasp the love that Nate and Ty had for one another, especially through Nate’s POV. It was obvious the love that Ty had for Nate, but being able to witness it from his POV made their sibling bond even more remarkable.

Cass is a phenomenal athlete, soccer to be exact. While still in high school, she discovers that she has MS. This put a huge dent in any plans that she had to play soccer at the collegiate level.  Add this life altering diagnosis with the hormones and emotional outburst of a normal teenage girl and you have someone who dealt with all of that baggage by becoming promiscuous. Because of this, her reputation took a direct hit, which is why she needs to leave her past where it is, in California. The only thing that she brings with her, from her past to Oklahoma is her twin sister, Paige. You remember Paige, right?

Cass and Ty meet when he is assigned to be her trainer. They hit it off, very well. They then run into each other again at a party, where she ups her worth in the eyes of Ty, by beating some ass in video games. Even though, Cass tries to fight the attraction she has to Ty, she eventually gives in and a beautiful relationship is formed.

Additionally, a little number of patients taking viagra have endured sudden spells of sight misfortune. Previously, because of some overly spread out myths on best price cialis our store regarding loss of vision for a short period. Introduce your baby to levitra 20mg online recommended new foods with a gap of 24 hours between 2 (two) doses. In the minds of Cass’ parents, her sister, her coaches, her doctors, even in hers a little, MS took her away from the sport she loves. With Ty’s encouragement and training, she develops the confidence she needs to give herself the chance of soccer once again. There will be some drama, isn’t there always? But as it unfolds, you can really see how well Cass has grown in how she deals with all that is coming down around her.

So, I think that is a pretty good glimpse inside these wonderfully wounded individuals. Now to what I love about this book. Well, really everything.

Ginger Scott has a talent of being able to characterize someone with something like MS or being to confined to a wheelchair and instead of playing to those disabilities (I hate that word, but I feel it is necessary here) as a weakness, it is always just a part of who that character is. It’s almost like an enhancer for them. When human nature is supposed to take over and sympathy or curiosity is to coming pushing through, she pushed it back. Obviously, Ty being in a wheelchair is an important part of his character, but instead of making it an obstacle, she makes it an extension. And even though you’re reading words on a page, you grow to not notice it.  I actually don’t know a whole lot about MS. I do know that it can be debilitating, but Cass didn’t allow MS to define what her capabilities were, she defied what she was told they were going to be, which allowed such a powerful message to be spoken to individuals who are suffering and maybe allowing MS to be who they are instead of just something that they have. Ginger Scott knows how to speak to her readers through characters and really put a smile on their soul.

I don’t think I have the intelligence to be an author and create a story that could possible define someone or really reach out and cause inspiration. However I begin to think, “hell, it’s just words”, then I read a book like this and re-think the “it’s just words”. It’s so much more. I have a handful of authors who I consider my favorite and the one thing they have in common is their ability to go beyond it ever being “just words”. It’s an escape, a feeling, a hiccup in your breath, a paragraph that makes you close your eyes, if only for a moment, and take it in. That’s what she does. She makes every word count. She has done it before, she does it here and with complete certainty, she will do it again and I can’t wait.

You and Everything After is book #2 in The Falling Series. Book #3, The Girl I Was Before, will tell the story of Paige and Houston and is available now.

Lemon Loaf

Lemon Loaf | Recipe on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comThis is supposed to be a “Copycat Starbucks Lemon Loaf”. I have no idea if it’s like Starbucks or not, because I have never eaten at Starbucks. However, this is delicious and that’s really all we’re looking for.

I will go ahead and warn you that this is a finicky loaf. It does not like to be over mixed (which I’m sure I stress enough in the recipe). Just be prepared for the attitude this loaf may throw your way.

As always, read through the entire recipe and all of the notes before starting.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 50 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • zest of (1) lemon
  • GLAZE:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

Instructions

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F. GREASE AND FLOUR A 9X5 LOAF PAN.

IN A LARGE BOWL SIFT TOGETHER:

  1. Flour
  2. Baking Powder
  3. Baking Soda
  4. Salt

IN A MEDIUM BOWL WITH A MIXER OR BY HAND WITH WHISK, COMBINE:

  1. Eggs
  2. Sugar
  3. Butter
  4. Vanilla Extract
  5. Lemon Extract
  6. Lemon Juice

ONCE WLL COMBINED, ADD AND MIX WELL:

  1. Oil
  2. Lemon Zest

Once mixed well, pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. MIx until just combined. DO NOT OVERMIX.

Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes. Depending on your oven, your cook time could be closer to 1 hour. Loaf is done when a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

Let loaf pan cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Remove from pan and rest on cooling rack until completely cool.

Once loaf is cool, prepare your glaze.

FOR THE GLAZE, WHISK TOGETHER:

  1. Powdered sugar
  2. Milk
  3. Lemon Extract

Whisk ingredients together until smooth glaze is formed. Pour glaze evenly over loaf.

Notes

You can use a cooking spray with flour instead of greasing and flouring loaf pan.

Once all your wet ingredients are combined, your mixture is not going to look good. Don't worry, once the wet ingredients are mixed with the dry ingredients, it will smooth out.

Overmixing will cause your loaf to dip in the middle. While it will still taste delicious, the dip will catch a bit more glaze.

For the glaze, I usually use a tablespoon of lemon extract. If you like the lemon flavor roaring through, use 1 tablespoon, if you want your lemon flavor to be a bit more subtle, stick with 1 teaspoon.
