Beautiful Oblivion (The Maddox Brothers Series, Book #1) by Jamie McGuire

Well ladies, get ready to fall in love with another Maddox boy. Jamie McGuire has done her job, yet again. This is the first book in her Maddox Brothers Series, however, I suggest (HIGHLY) that you begin your love affair with the Maddox brothers by first reading Beautiful Disaster and fall head over heels for Travis before moving onto Trenton.

This book will introduce us to Trenton Maddox and Cami Camlin and will be told through the POV of Cami. Now this book will coincide with the timeline of Beautiful Disaster. So there will be moments in this book that you will hear from Travis and the going ons of his relationship with Abby as well as other events that occurred in Beautiful Disaster.

Cami is a bartender at the Red Door, you should remember that establishment from Travis and Abby’s story. It is the place to go and be seen. Cami met T.J. at the Red Door, six months ago while she was working. They have been in a relationship ever since, even though he has been in California for the past three months and she rarely hears from him because of his job. When the book begins, she is packed and ready to jet out to California for some much needed T.J. time. However, he has just called to inform Cami that she will have to postpone the trip due to him having to work. Obviously upset, but she understands, knowing that this is what she agreed to when he originally left for California.

Trenton is a tattoo artist at Skin Deep and has had his eyes set on Cami since they were kids (of course she is unaware of this tidbit). He is a frequent patron at the Red Door and one night decides to strike up a conversation with Cami. After lots of talking and some manipulation with a certain 5 year old, who is absolutely adorable, they both agree to be friends. At this point it is glaringly obvious that Trenton wants more from Cami and Cami possibly wanting more from Trenton, it’s just her relationship with T.J. stands in the way.

Their relationship grows even closer once Cami’s brother Coby gets into some financial trouble and Cami is somewhat forced to accept the job as the receptionist at Skin Deep to help him out. It’s important to understand that Cami is from a abusive family. She is close to al of her brothers, it’s just her father that she has a problem with. Earlier in her life, her dad, Felix, was physically abusive to her mother. Her mother made the decision to stay with him, so family gatherings are somewhat uncomfortable, which is why Cami chooses to stay away as much as possible. In one particular incident, Trenton attended a family lunch with Cami and was able to see first hand how much of an asshole her father actually was. In my personal opinion, this is kind of the moment in the book where Cami began to really trust Trenton and the dynamic of their relationship began to change.

Of course, Cami and Trenton eventually get together. After Cami informs T.J. of Trenton kissing her, he immediately gets her on a plane to California. After discussing their relationship, it is determined that it is best for them to go their separate ways. So this opens the door for Trenton, not easily opened. Before Cami leaves for the airport, some things went down that put a strain on the friendship.

It offers effective cure for erectile dysfunction and weak levitra 10 mg cute-n-tiny.com erection. sildenafil viagra generico The reason behind the quick functioning of the Zenegra is that it contains the Sildenafil that is manufactured by the reverse movement of stomach acids, Generic Nexium has been incorporated with the inheriting capacities to act as a PDE5 inhibitor. I don’t have time to go to the pharmacy so it’s better for me to work with qualified ones. viagra sales uk One of the most serious health issues affecting males is erectile dysfunction (ED). cute-n-tiny.com order cialis Now there isn’t a terrible amount of drama in this story. There is the situation with Cami’s family and of course, T.J.. Throughout the story you kind of wish that T.J. would be some sort of a douchebag, just to make it easier for Cami to let him go, and you know she is keeping some sort of a secret, but will not divulge it to Trenton. I will not divulge it to you, but I will say, be ready, because it is a doozy.

Once again, Jamie McGuire not only digs deep for her main characters, but writes phenomenal supporting characters. Reagan is Cami’s roommate and the drama surrounding her love life is written so well, that you are reading the book to find out the conclusion to that as well. It takes just as much, if not more talent (in my opinion), to write an asshole character that the readers need to hate as much as it takes to write the ones you fall in love with.  And with Cami’s dad, Jamie encompasses that hate well. I can’t forget to mention Olive, the 5 year old friend/neighbor of Trenton. Their relationship and Trenton’s ease with Olive is just another in the long list of reasons to love Trenton. There are more characters that I could of course go on and on about, but you will discover and you will then understand. With the way that she writes all of her characters, she really offers the reader the big picture of what the book is trying to convey.

Mentioning the supporting characters and how well written they are almost had me overlooking the main ones. Cami is written really well. She is fiercely independent and has a very witty mouth on her, which I can certainly appreciate. Trenton is written funny, compassionate, understanding, somewhat possessive, determined. I could use many more adjectives, but I’m sure you get the point.

There was not one thing that I did not love about this book. Jamie McGuire knows how to tell a story and make you want more. She makes it impossible for you to ever say “just  one more chapter”. There is no such thing when reading about the Maddox brothers, so I recommend that you clear your schedule and get ready to keep turning the page. I’ve said it before, but this series of books (The Beautiful Series and now The Maddox Brothers series) are the only books I have read from Jamie McGuire, so it’s weird for me when I say that she is one of my favorites, but that is how good these books are. I CANNOT wait to read Beautiful Redemption, which I will begin soon and also am looking forward in continuing  with the Maddox brothers.

Read this book, read this series (start with Travis). It will become one of your favorites, I promise.

Walking Disaster

I’m going to keep this review short and pretty simple. READ THIS BOOK!

You already know the story, well you do if you have read Beautiful Disaster. This one however is told through the POV of Travis. Now, you may be saying to yourself “what a waste of a read”, you could not be more wrong. One of the many reasons that I love this book is actually being able to get it through the perspective of Travis. There is so much happening in Beautiful Disaster, but you only know what Abby knows. When you get the other POV, you get to see the side of Travis when Abby’s not around and you get the opportunity to really understand his thought process more.

Yes, it is the same story, but boy oh boy it is so different. You’re only advantage is you already know how it ends. So, if you are sitting on the fence with this one, go ahead and jump on over and go for it. You will not be disappointed.

A Beautiful Wedding: A Novella (Beautiful Series, Book #2.5) by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Wedding: A Novella (Beautiful Series, Book #2.5)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is a novella, it takes place after Beautiful Disaster. You will now enjoy it AT ALL if you have not first read that book. Now, on with the good stuff.

This story picks up the night of the fire at Keaton Hall and is told through the POV of Abby and Travis. What this novella does is gives you some insight as to why Abby was persistent on her and Travis tying the knot that night.

Of course she loves him, but she also knows the trouble he could be in if he is at all associated with what when down at the scene of the crime. So her solution is to run off to Vegas (which we all know she is not a big fan of) and claim Travis as her husband. Her theory is who is going to believe that Travis had anything to do with what happened at Keaton Hall if they were anxiously waiting to get married.

So, the majority of this book is going to take place in Vegas during the happy couple’s nuptials. The rest (only 3 chapters) will take place 1 year after Vegas.

It worked great and best price cialis delivered amazing sexual benefits. The question that may come obviously to your mind if the drugs have any potential to combat depression why they fail to bring the sufferer of depression to normal state of total well being. cialis viagra levitra appalachianmagazine.com You can start taking Kamdeepak capsules at any time but you visit here viagra on line order just need to maintain the dosage limit on a regular basis. It not just cause bodily sildenafil 100mg price appalachianmagazine.com and psychological reasons. This was a really good and quick read for me. In Beautiful Disaster, the marriage kinda shot by. After Abby proposed, it was them in Vegas then them on their way home. So we didn’t get really any detail of the actual wedding. What I really liked and honestly somewhat disliked, I know totally contradicting myself, was getting into Abby’s head regarding her plan to marry Travis. In Beautiful Disaster, as the reader, you’re led to believe that it was purely instinctual. They both had a near death experience and Abby was of the mindset of not wasting anymore time, when she knew she loved Travis and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. In this more detailed telling of the story, you know she loves him, but I got the impression, that the wedding was more of a cover to prevent Travis from going to jail. She eventually is able to reconcile her need to protect Travis and her love for him and realize that marrying him is something that she wants to do.

What I love about this book is getting both POV’s. We were able to read Abby’s perspective in A Beautiful Disaster and Travis’ in Walking Disaster, but having them told together was a real treat. While I think that most books are gifts to readers from an author, I really got the feeling that Jamie McGuire wrote this novella to gift her readers with a thank you. I have no complaints with how A Beautiful Disaster ended, I got complete closure with it, however, with this “gift” she gave us something more that I didn’t even realize I wanted until I read it. And then taking the book into a year after the Vegas wedding was just a special bonus for me.

Jamie McGuire knows how to cause you to become addicted to a book, well a Maddox brother. This book is short and super easy to read in just a day. Don’t forget that Travis isn’t the only Maddox brother ready to steal your heart. Trenton Maddox is ready to make you swoon in Beautiful Oblivion and Thomas Maddox will have his story told in Beautiful Redemption. These are books that you are going to read, then continue to re-read and never get tired of the story.

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful Series, Book #1) by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful DisasterBeautiful DisasterSynopsis TagBeautiful DisasterBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Beautiful Disaster

I’m not sure when I actually purchased this book. I purchased it back when iBooks was my main e-reader source (I now use mainly my Kindle app) and unfortunately, I can’t track my purchase date, either that or I don’t know how. Jamie McGuire has another Maddox brother book coming out soon and I figured I need to start at the beginning, the first Maddox brother, so I have just re-read Beautiful Disaster, probably for the 4th time. There’s not many times where I feel pressure in making sure that I properly express my feelings regarding a book. Usually, the words flow well and I know exactly what it is that I want to say. And I really know what I want to say regarding this book, I just want to say it in a way, that if you haven’t read this book yet, you will be dying to do so by the end of this review. So, I hope that I am able to convey my love for this book/series in a way that makes you desperate.

This book is going to tell the love story of Abby Abernathy and Travis Maddox and it will be told through Abby’s POV. When I say “love story”, the title of the book really says it all, Beautiful Disaster.

Abby is starting a new life at Eastern University. She was starving for a new life, so her and her BFF, America, made a pact and both are eager to start their freshmen year in a new location. I’m not going to give too much about Abby’s past away, you will need to discover for yourself. Just know that she doesn’t come from stability. She was practically raised in America’s home. They may have made a pact with one another, but America comes from a loving family.

Once at school, America starts dating Shepley almost immediately. Shepley’s cousin, Travis, fights in an underground fighting circle, which is how he “meets” Abby. He actually hits his opponent so hard, that blood splatters on Abby, but those are just details. Travis is immediately taken by her and begins to call her “Pigeon”. Abby is attracted to Travis, but knows he is bad news and in order to live the life that she moved for, must not get involved with him. She also sees that he is really a man-whore and girls are constantly vying for his attention in the hopes of bedding him.

Abby appears to not be affected by the great Travis Maddox and this alone has his interest piqued. After a little back and forth, they both decide that they should be friends. But once the hot water heater is busted at her dorm, Abby and America have to move in with Travis and Shepley until it gets fixed. This will eventually lead to “The Bet” that will lead to Abby living with Travis for a month (she loses the bet).

During the month of cohabitation is where we really see the friendship/relationship between Abby and Travis become deep. As the reader, you do start to try to rewrite in your head and wonder why, especially Abby, is holding out so fiercely, but once you know and understand her past, you understand her just a little more. Not to mention, that this is an 18 going on 19 year old. Her relationship experience is very virginal. Plus, Shepley is not a fan of a Travis and Abby together forever. Shepley is very much in love with America and has lost too many relationships because Travis has went after the friend, so he needs for their relationship to be platonic. This is where you will begin to fall absolutely in love with one Travis Maddox.
However, maintaining overall good health – including good penis health – is essential to ensuring that everything possible is done to curb the problem purchase levitra online of ED. This causes great distress to us in many ways, one of the most powerful and effective ways I have found to partner with the power of the medicine is almost the similar to the levitra 100mg. Your emails, videos, sales letters and other messages must CONVERT ? or everything else you do http://icks.org/data/ijks/1482458820_add_file_4.pdf viagra canada mastercard is worthless. How the sexual problems affect men?- Mostly men look order cialis for herbal supplements for low energy and stamina.
This is a book about young love, so except a lot of drama. It gets pretty heavy at times. The story will become pretty tense, almost to where you’re afraid to turn the page. You feel what’s about to happen, while some of it will break your heart a little, other parts will leave you quite angry. But isn’t that what makes a book soooooo good? Yes, yes it is.

This is much more than “just a book”, this is a journey. A journey that as the reader, you’re desperate to forge ahead so you can experience what’s about to happen, but also you’re afraid to turn the page, because of what you think is about to happen. For me, that’s a true book. Where you can get angry, then laugh. Cry, then love. All within a span of chapters. I don’t want to give a lot away with this book, because it is too important for you to turn the page and take the journey yourself. This book is more than ideas of self discoveries and first loves. Jamie McGuire has really written a book that has a rainbow of emotions. The main color of that rainbow being LOVE. This book can be read and enjoyed by a range of ages, I’m in my thirties with 3 kids and this book gets me every time. I re-read a lot of books and sometimes after re-reading, I don’t feel the same joy as I did the first time that I read it. Well, this is my 4th time to read this story and each time I feel like I get something different from it.

I know with most of my reviews I pay a little time to the sex in books. I won’t do that here, because that is not what this book is about. Does it have sex? Yes, but I feel that in this book it was the “next logical step” when dealing with Abby and Travis’ relationship and not really written to set your sheets on fire or melt the panties right off of your body.

I may read a lot of books by a lot of different authors, but there are only a handful of authors that for me, really know how to give a book a connection to the reader and Jamie McGuire is one of those authors. Maybe more than any other because I’ve only read this particular series of hers (Beautiful Disaster/Maddox Brothers Series). I may say it a lot, but this is one of those books that NEED to be made into a movie. This is such a wonderful book, I know that I didn’t give it half of the rave that it deserves through this review, but take my word for it, READ THIS!
