Strings of the Heart (Runaway Train Series, Book #3)

I kinda feel as though the first books in this series have been setting us up for this one book. Now, you could, in theory, read this as a stand alone, but I don’t really believe that doing that is what the author intended. Here’s the thing, the books in this series all intertwine and if you decide that this is where you want to be a rebel, DON’T! You need to read the preceding books first. I’m doing you a favor, trust me. On a side note: this book will tell the story of Rhys and Allison and will be told through both POV’s.

Like I said, the previous books have somewhat set us up for this one. If you remember from book #1 when Runaway Train went to play at the sweet sixteen party of Jake’s little sister? Well, that little sister is Allison and Allison has been in love with Rhys since she was 13. This book will actually begin (prologue) at that sweet sixteen party, but told through the POV of Allison, so as the reader you are able to grasp her affection for him. The book will then fast forward 4 1/2 years, Allison is on tour with Runaway Train and is the nanny for Jake and Abby while completing an internship for her degree.

While the book may start with Abby on tour with Runaway Train as a nanny/apprentice, the relationship between Rhys and Allison began three months prior to the tour. Think back to book #2, when Jake asked Rhys to check in on Allison while he was visiting his parents in Savannah, that is where “Rhys and Allison” kick off. During that visit, things eventually get heated and after an emotional night and lots of tequila, well, things happen. Unfortunately, it was making love for Allison and Rhys wasn’t really able to come to terms with the emotions he was feeling at the time and being a man, he does what men do, pushes her away.

A good chunk of this book will take place during those several weeks in Savannah and honestly at first, I wasn’t too excited about the flashback. I really wanted to focus on the here and now, but after reading those chapters, I really love the way the author wrote the time in Savannah. We really get to see Rhys and who he is during this time. You not only understand, but you support his disdain towards his parents. Trust me, he will eventually have his asshole moments, so you will need that understanding so you can continue to fall in love with him.

During the moments in this book that take place in Savannah, there are no visits from the characters that we have grown to love. You will be briefly introduced to some other supporting characters, that were really well written, but we don’t get back to the ones we love until they are back on tour. Even though we only get a glimpse of Gabe and Eli from Jacob’s Ladder, it is really a good glimpse and the author is setting us up for their own stories to be told. CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT!

As much as I hate to write this part, the only thing that disappointed me in this book (and this may be a bit of a spoiler) is this: when we meet Rhys’ family in Savannah, one of the members we are introduced to is Ellie, Rhys’ sister. She is autistic and the love Rhys has for her pours off of the page. She is not someone that Rhys talks about often, because he is very protective of her, which is understandable. Allison explains to him how unfair that is, especially considering that Lily and Brayden have a daughter, Lucy, who is on the Autism spectrum. Rhys seems to get it and agrees with her. However, once on tour, it is not brought up again and I was really looking forward to seeing Allison’s relationship with Ellie grow.

It’s that part of the review where we must talk about the sex. I know, it’s such a chore. While there may not be a ton of sex in this book, there doesn’t need to be, because it is so sensuous and if I’m honest, a little vulgar (in a good way, of course). So ladies, just leave the panties off for this one.

Prepare yourself, this book isn’t as light-hearted as the first books in this series. It’s a bit more impassioned. I didn’t think that I would enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Jake and A.J.’s stories, but Ms. Ashley proved me wrong. She wrote a very moving story, one that I think you will fall in love with. The next book in this series, Melody of the Heart, will actually feature Brayden and Lily and since they are high school sweethearts, it is going to be very interesting at how Katie Ashley tells this story and I am so excited to read it. Stay tuned.

Where I Need to Be (B & S Series, Book #1)

In my continuing effort to re-read books in order to review them, I am glad that I spontaneously chose this book. I had no idea that the author wrote a novella to accompany each book in this series, told through Brandon’s POV. Ignorance is not bliss in this case and lucky for me, this series just got a bit extended.

In this book, we will be introduced to Spencer (yes, the female) and Brandon. Spencer is just coming out of a 2 year relationship with Travis, or as her BFF dubs him, TravASS. Spencer had the unfortunate (or maybe fortunate, depending on how you see it) luck of walking in on Travis going at it with his secretary. Like any woman in her position, she is having a hard time getting over what happened. Brandon is currently in a relationship with a bit of crazy, really, it’s a lot of crazy. Brandon’s version of crazy doesn’t take “we’re breaking up” easily. This book will be told through Spencer’s POV.

Brandon is the co-owner of a gym that Spencer has the luck of checking out for her job. And since she’s been in sort of a funk since she caught TravASS cheating on her, she figures that maybe her current assignment for work will help pull her from her misery. It’s when Brandon jumps on the treadmill next to hers that her breath catches. She has a hard time believing how gorgeous this guy is, but she also notices him checking her out. Throughout the rest of her workout, she finds herself looking for Brandon and finds Brandon seeking her out. This continues for a couple more visits at the gym but it really knocks her socks off when Spencer and her BFF, Ryan (also female) plan a girls’ weekend in Vegas and show up at the airport and see no other than, Brandon. After dancing with Brandon and using his leg to aid in her orgasm and then losing her winnings to him in a high stake Texas Hold Em’ game, Spencer’s weekend in Vegas is complete.

Once they are both back home in San Fransisco, Spencer and Brandon begin a relationship, which is a problem for the crazy ex, Christy. Oh, and she is going to add some problems. I can’t give away too much of her crazy, because that will give some of the juiciness of this story away, but you will definitely be wondering, how is it that these wonderful book boyfriends that we all fall for, ALWAYS seem to have their “crazy-dar” broken? Crazy or not, I did think that the storyline involving Christy was a little much, personally I think it could’ve went a different way and been a little more believable. There is some other crazy going on, involving other characters, but this book only skims the storyline, so I assume it will be further developed in succeeding books.

SHUT MY MOUTH, I CANNOT BELIEVE I SAID THAT. But truthfully, there is a lot, but I can say, the author wrote it well. It is passionate and I thought for the most part is was hot. My only question mark was, the level of the libido between Spencer and Brandon was off the charts, but hey, what do I know, I hope that somewhere, there are two people that every time they are alone in a room together, clothes are coming off. I need to get on board that train.

The supporting characters here are written well. I don’t think that they are written so you become really invested in them, but they’re written well enough to give you somewhat of a background with their connection to Spencer and/or Brandon.

Overall, I think that Kimberly Knight wrote a good book. It was a story well told and the book was an easy read. There were no moments where an emotional break was required and I found myself continuing to go back to the story when I did have to put it down and I’ve read it before, so that should speak for something. Unlike previous books that I revisited, this book was just as good as I remembered. So, if you’re looking for a quick read with characters that you can invest in, here you go.

Thoughtless (Thoughtless Series, Book #1)

I have read this book several times, but with the impending release of Thoughtful, I knew I needed to give it a good re-read and then of course take the opportunity to go ahead and review it as well.

Thoughtless is book #1 in the Thoughtless series and will tell the story of Kiera Allen, Denny Harris, and Kellen Kyle. It will be told through the POV of Kiera. If you haven’t read this book before, then get ready, it will take you on a roller coaster. If you are revisiting the story, well, get ready to jump right back on that roller coaster.

It rarely takes me a significant amount of time to finish a book, in fact, I can usually knock one out between 1-3 days. This book, even re-reading it, took a little longer than a week. This book is so emotionally charged. It takes you from being elated, to shutting everything off in frustration. Even frustrated, it was a great read. However, you will need to be open minded. There are traits, mainly “Kiera traits” that are going to annoy the shit out of you (we’ll get to those), but keep pressing though, the book is really a wonderful story. Let’s begin.

Kiera is moving to Seattle from Ohio with her boyfriend Denny. Denny has a great job/intern opportunity and Kiera has also decided to relocate with Denny in a effort to start a life together. Denny spent a brief amount of time in Seattle, while in high school and that is when he met Kellen Kyle. So because of this connection, Kiera and Denny will be staying with Kellen in his home.

Kellen is the lead singer of the D-Bags, a local band whose popularity is growing. His childhood was full of abuse and because of an intervention from Denny, he has always felt like he owes him. Oh, of course he’s hot! He fits into every clichĂ© for any rocker you have read: hot, cocky, womanizer, sleeps around, you get the point. And it seems that most every woman he comes into contact with is somewhat moved by his charm.

Denny and Kiera have been together for 2 years and are very much in love. Kiera is somewhat innocent. She’s not a virgin, but Denny was her first. She is very uncomfortable with any talk of a sexual nature, joking or otherwise. Her innocence is charming, but definitely can be annoying and some D-Bags members capitalize on her uncomfortableness.

Denny’s job is going really well, so well in fact, that the firm he is working for, has given him an opportunity to travel to Arizona for a couple of months. This news hits Kiera hard and when he leaves, she is devastated. This is when her relationship, really picks up with Kellen. At first, it’s just friendly, but as time goes on you can sense their relationship heading into inappropriate waters. The straw that breaks the “committed relationships” back is when Denny is offered a long term position in Arizona. That is the night that Kiera and Kellen cross the line.

Nowadays, you can easily get safed musli products from market and online viagra overnight usa medical stores. The porn actress signed up and got paid for her work. cialis uk It is defined as an orgasm that occurs ahead of your satisfaction or your partner’s. tadalafil sale It helps to ejaculate old semen and make vardenafil vs viagra room for manufacturers of generic versions in the market. Now, usually I wouldn’t give up so much information. But, obviously this story is about Kellen and Kiera and Denny stands in the way of that relationship. But, I refuse to give anymore away and trust me when I say, it gets much more dramatic than Denny leaving for Arizona. I really want to get to what I loved and not so much loved about this book.

I loved Kellen. There is a reason why he topped a lot of “book boyfriend” lists. He has everything that you want in a brooding rock star. But the one thing that really drove me to love him was his torture. I don’t mean that in a sadist kind of way, but to experience the emotions that he felt for Kiera was heart wrenching. There are some scenes in this book that will leave you speechless. He was written very beautifully and while you want to be upset with him because Denny is a good friend and some of Kellen’s actions are deliberate, you can’t.

Kiera was a bit of a frustrating character for me. I do feel that the author was very sympathetic to her character, because I did feel sorry for her and the predicament that she put herself in, but she could’ve stopped it at anytime. Especially when she agreed and really believed that her and Kellen could continue their flirting as long as it stayed innocent. C’mon, anyone in a relationship would see that as a betrayal and she saw it as friendly. It also really upset me with the way she strung Denny and Kellen along. Now, I know it’s hypocritical for me to say that it would’ve been easier for me with Kiera’s deception if Denny was an asshole, but he was nothing but a wonderful boyfriend. Her other character flaw for me was her naivetĂ©. I can appreciate that personality trait to a degree. But she took it too far for me. For someone who has a hard time listening to story about a blow job, but then turns around and continues to cheat on her long term boyfriend, the act needed to be up. I think that she rode that naivetĂ© trait a little too far.

While, the main characters in this book are fantastic, the supporting ones really make up the meat of this wonderful story. The members of D-Bags offer such comedy and character, that you find yourself excited when they enter a page. A part of you wants to really dislike Anna, Kiera’s sister, but she is just too charming and by the end of the book, she will earn your love. The other characters really round out this book and give it such life, that you know this book wouldn’t be the same book without them.

Like I said, usually I can fly through a book in no time. But this one gets me every time. It goes from one emotional extreme to the other so much that I have to put it down and give myself a break.  It is well worth it however, and having already read the other two books in this series, I can vouch that the series will get better and the next two books are no where near as emotionally draining as this one. The last part of this book was really a gut clencher, so be ready. Again, it was fabulously written and I have a suspicion that I’m going to enjoy Kellen’s POV much more.

Stardust (Peaches Monroe Series, Book #1)

I really hesitated in starting this series. I did read a sample a long while ago and for whatever reason, I didn’t make the purchase. Of course, it continued to pop up on my different feeds, so I then figured, “why the hell not, I’ll go ahead and give it a whirl”. The jury is still out on how I’ll feel about the whole series, but I have finished book #1, so let’s just start there. This book is told through the POV of Peaches.

This book will introduce you to Petra (Peaches) Monroe. She is the manager of Peachtree Books and happens to literally fall into the arms of one very sexy Dalton Deangelo. Dalton is an actor who happens to play a hottie vampire on a very popular T.V. show. Dalton runs into the bookstore in an attempt to escape some reporter and knocks Peaches right into his arms. She is about to leave to do her bridesmaid duties at her cousins wedding and Dalton convinces her to allow him to be her date.

Peaches is more on the voluptuous side and while she is most certainly excited to be on the arm of Dalton, she is under no false pretenses that he is at all attracted to her, despite the sweet nothings he keeps whispering in her ear. However, she is willing to live a once in a lifetime opportunity, if it happens to arise and boy does it ever.

Peaches has never really “dared to live”, she is super funny and has a wonderful family and fantastic friends, but has lived a life of precaution, never daring to be fun. Dalton is doing a wonderful job in the pursuing of Peaches and she is beginning to convince herself that maybe, just maybe, a little fun can be had.

While she is all for fun, she is constantly running when her thoughts keep getting in her way. She does finally come around and accepts that maybe she is more than just “fun” to Dalton.

This book is surrounded by a wonderful cast. Peaches has a fantastically funny mom and dad. She also has a very young brother, Kyle. There’s her roommate, Shayla, who I am still a little leery of, her high school crush, Adrian, Dalton’s butler, Vern and really just a lot of characters who really bring this book together.

This book is a part of a series and will end on a cliffhanger. I thought I had the mystery of this book solved. I didn’t. I was on the right track, but I do think that you will be somewhat surprised as well as pretty pissed at Dalton.

Time for complete honesty. The one thing that bugged me about this book, is the one thing that is this book. The comedy. What I mean is, I love a funny book and this one meets that requirement. My problem is it was only funny. Even during the sexual moments. There is a particular scene that she is “cowboying up” and calls Dalton “Lionheart”, which was a pony from her childhood. I’m even ok with some sex scenes being sprinkled with a little bit of funny, what I’m not ok with is all of them being made into a joke and that is what happens in this book. And it’s not only the sex, but there is not really a bit of serious in this book, not until the very end. Again, I’m all for a funny book, I just think that the author overdid it here.

All in all, I enjoyed this book. I wish I can lay a little more accolades on it and maybe by the time I finish the series I will be able to do that, but as of right now, I’m not blown away. Stay tuned, I may shock myself.

Unexpected Fate (Hope Town Series, Book #1)

BXTCHES Gotta WarnWe first met Cohen Cage in the Security Corps Series (Cage). After reading this book, I don’t think that it is absolutely necessary to read that series first, although I have no idea why you wouldn’t read it, just for the pure joy it will bring you, but whatever. I will say this, a lot of the characters that we love from that series, will make an appearance (or more) in this book. So, really if you want to get the full on Corps Security experience, you should check out that series first. Trust me, it’s well worth it. Don’t believe me? Check out my review of the series here.

I know you must remember cute little Cohen Cage from the Corps Security series, right? Well, cute is out the window. The boy is now a man and he is HAWT! Dani Reid, yes, Axel and Izzy’s little girl, has been in love with Cohen since she can remember, and it’s now time to make him see what it is he has been missing out on. This book will be told through the POV of both Dani and Cohen.

Cohen has known that Dani (or as he calls her, Dani-girl) has been in love with him since she was 15 years old and in a defining moment for Cohen, she whispered her feelings to him. Over the years, he pulled that memory to help him get through some of his toughest times. The problem however, is Dani is almost 5 years younger than Cohen, so Cohen knew that because of the age difference there wasn’t much he could do then. Now, fast forward 6 years, Dani is now 21 and reveals once again to Cohen how she feels. Now in all fairness to Dani, she was extremely ill and drugged up on some high potency cough syrup. But for Cohen, it certainly stirs something in him.

Here is where the problem lies. Cohen has followed in his father’s footsteps and is in the military, and is getting ready to deploy once again. Not knowing how long this tour will take him, he doesn’t want to start anything up with Dani until he has a stronger and more stable hold on the future. Of course the other problem comes in the form of a very over protective father, who will stop at nothing to protect his only daughter AKA Axel Reid.

Dani will take Cohen however he comes, overseas or not and gets her wish after a particularly emotional going away party. Surely you can figure out now that Dani gets her guy. They make the decision to wait it out and once Cohen returns from overseas, that they will really give a relationship with one another a real shot. It wouldn’t be a true Corps Security book of any kind if there wasn’t any drama involved, right? Shortly after Cohen deploys, Dani starts to receive flowers every week. Thinking that they are from Cohen, she of course falls in love even more. Once she realizes that Cohen is indeed not the giver, hell will break loose. Dani has crazy after her and Cohen being overseas, can’t do a thing about it. While I didn’t think that it was too difficult to figure out the culprit, it was certainly a page turner and easy to figure out or not, it was well played.

There is other drama involved, that I can’t really say too much about without giving it away, but as I read it and things unfolded, I will honestly say, I thought “again?”. But, after reading it, my exasperation was very short lived. You are going to be introduced to a whole new generation of Corps Security. Some will appear way more than others, but it was a joy to read these characters who were first introduced as babies.

You know what’s next. Oh multiple orgasm, Harper Sloan very seldom disappoints in the sex scene area. Once again, she wrote some fierce, throw you on your back, rip off your panties, sex. The sex was fantastic, if you didn’t pick that up by my description, but the other thing she did well and I need to thank her for, she made Cohen a great dirty talker. I am an advocate for dirty talk in the bedroom (real or fiction) and she made it “bite your lip” worthy.

I will confess that I read this book in 1 day. It was that good. I am someone who gets car sick when I read in an automobile, but today, I read in the car until I started to feel it come on. When we stopped at the store and my hubby ran in, I read. So, yes, I think that this book is wonderful. It does appear that this will be a series, which makes me super excited. So stay tuned.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: You got the warning with the second book, so it is even of greater importance that you read the first two books in this series BEFORE this book. Otherwise you’re really going to be reading a fucked up story about a possessive man, a frustrated woman and all of the craziness that surrounds them both.

This Man Confessed will be told through the POV of Ava, with the epilogue coming straight from Jesse.

After reading the first two books in this series, you’re probably ready for a little calm between Jesse and Ava. If that’s the case, then stop right there, because it isn’t going to happen. Even though they have professed their love for one another and Jesse has proposed, that doesn’t mean that Jesse exposed all his secrets in the first two books. Oh no, he’s got some doozies left to drop and some may just be Ava’s undoing.

First, let’s play catch up. The second book definitely had a ton of shock and awe. After discovering Jesse’s drinking problem, that’s not a problem, Ava gets drugged by a unknown assailant, Ava walks in on Sarah decked out in leather while taking a whip to Jesse’s back, which then led Ava to getting herself whipped. Ava discovers where exactly Jesse was and what he was doing during the four days that he disappeared. Jesse’s past is coming back to knock them both off their feet and let’s not forget that Jesse did propose marriage and Ava accepted. So, even with all that baggage, there’s a ton left to be unpacked.

We’re kicking off This Man Confessed with the wedding of Jesse and Ava and if you figured that Jesse was in deed gonna get his way and marry Ava at The Manor, you would be correct. If you thought that Ava changing her name from O’Shea to Ward was gonna seal the deal and the both of them would ride off into the sunset and live their days stress free, well, you would be wrong. And let’s not forget that there’s still the tiny little issue of Ava’s missing birth control pills.

I understand that we all love Jesse, overbearingness and all, but that love will begin to diminish before it’s able shine bright again. And while Jesse’s neurotic ways become a bit more understandable as the story unfolds, it’s not gonna stop you from wanting to wring his neck and hers to if I’m being honest. Frustrated will become an emotion you will become very familiar with.

The supporting cast of characters still continue to offer the layers that this story needs and deserves. We get Kate and Sam and Dan in all of its dramatic glory. We’re not done with Sarah, Coral, and Mikael either. Drew is still around and John is playing his role very well. There’s the guys at Rococo Union and a very persistent client of Ava’s who may just have the hots for her. There’s more of course, but you’ll have to turn the pages to be introduced.

We’re starting This Man Confessed with a lot of confessions that have yet to come to fruition. Ava’s missing birth control, though I think we know, we just need the confession. Don’t forget that someone drugged Ava in book #2 and it’s still a mystery as to who the culprit was. Coral is still around, which has posed more questions than Jesse is willing to cough up the answers. And the confession of all confessions will bring the story to an explosive conclusion.

Well, as frustrating as Jesse is, he will still bring the sexy stuff to levels that could fry the ends of your hair. More countdowns, sexy bath time, and more fucks being introduced may be the balance you need when Jesse is being a bit much to handle.

Even though I feel that I have said a lot in this review, I haven’t even began to crack the dram that will be thrown your way. It is a torturous journey at times. There may even be times that you’ll need to close it down and pick it up a bit later. But I promise every gut wrenching moment is worth it and by the time you make it to the very last page, you may just want to start it all over again.

There’s still one more book to get through before we close this series down and it will shoot pretty far into the future (I think about 12 years) and it will be a heartbreaking book but we will get the book from the POV of Jesse and after reading the epilogue in this book from his POV, it is certainly something to look forward to.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This book is one of the first books I purchased when I made the switch from Ibooks to Kindle. I purchased it back in February 2013 and of the 1000’s (and there are 1000’s) of books that I have purchased since, this series remains one of my top favorites. I have re-read it more times than I can count and love it each and every time. This is a series, so not only do you need to read in order, but there will be a cliffhanger at the end of this book. If you are someone who prefers a paper book to an e-reader, then I really suggest that you go ahead and buy all 4 books in this series. Trust me, you are going to want to move straight from one to the other.

Here is the thing that you need to know about this series. . .if you have read any reviews regarding this book/series, you will see that some readers take issue with Jesse’s behavior, which some could deem as borderline abusive, which is probably true. To say that Jesse takes Alpha to a whole new level would be an understatement. I am personally not bothered by this, but some are. You do need to remember that this is a series and if you stay invested, things have a way of making more sense and now you have been warned.

This Man will be told through the POV of Ava.

This book will begin to dive into the crazy relationship that develops between Ava O’Shea and Jesse Ward. Ava is a 26 year old interior designer and is coming off of a 4 year relationship with Matt. After discovering Matt’s infidelity, she has decided to take up residence with her BFF, Kate. Surprising, she is not heartbroken and has been advised by her mother that this is the time in her life to have fun and not tie herself down to one man. She is just finishing up the project of her young career, designing the 10 million dollar penthouse suite at the luxury apartments, Lusso, and has now been requested to do some work at The Manor, which she thinks is an exclusive, luxury hotel. Once she arrives at The Manor and is introduced to the owner, Jesse, her life will never be the same.

Jesse Ward is the owner of The Manor, which is really an exclusive sex club. No worries, this BXTCH ain’t spoiling, you won’t need to place too many pieces together before you realize what kind of posh hotel The Manor really is. Once you begin to read the book, it’s not long before the pieces click into place and you will figure it out. Dead giveaways begin to drop like flies. She’s not even allowed to roam the grounds by herself. Once Jesse lays down his description of how he wants the room designed, you get the clear distinction that he has a theme, and it ain’t one you’ll find at the Hilton.

Jesse has lived a very reckless lifestyle thanks to a pretty tormented past, a past that this book will not solve. . .cliffhanger. . .it won’t be until the end of book #3 before all comes together. Which is why you should heed my earlier advice. But one thing we learn very quickly about our Lord, is once his mind is set and he sees something he wants, he will get it and Ava is something that he desperately wants.

Ava is equally drawn to Jesse, but she realizes that he is in fact a client and her boss would really frown upon her going down that road, and more importantly, she is under the impression that he is already involved with a woman (Sarah) and this woman makes it pretty obvious early on that she is either with Jesse, wants Jesse, or has been with Jesse. Regardless of what selection she falls under, she is an employee of Jesse’s and she’s not afraid of making herself known anytime Ava visits The Manor.

Ms. Malpas did a outstanding job writing the character of Sarah. She is everything a catty, thinks that she is better than you, bitch should be. You will dislike her very much, which for me indicates that the author did her job the way it was supposed to be done. There is not one time during the telling of this story that you will have sympathy for her. My guess. . .you’ll wish that you could jump into the book and knock the bitch out yourself.

The hypnotist trains the conscious state of the human brain through different methods so that it can get rid prescription cialis cost robertrobb.com of their sexual problems that are occurring psychologically with the help of sexual therapy. lowest price sildenafil Though, this must be known by the doctors but, it is very much important to know that don’t use more than once a day. Dancing, partying, music and laughter cialis prescription fill the streets, where every storefront seems to become a club of some sort. Otherwise, you can make a claim in adverse situation. buy cheapest viagra The chemistry is electric from the very first meeting and even though Ava does her best to stay far away, Jesse ain’t about that and he does everything he can to keep Ava close by. Once Jesse stakes his claim on Ava, his belief is that she belongs to him. He is very dominant, not in a BDSM way, but in a possessive, you belong to me and answer to me way.

TRUTH? He probably displays a lot of the traits that appear on some sort of checklist one is asked when she is pondering whether or not she is in an abusive relationship. In fact, the only time that their relationship is going swimmingly, is when she is in complete compliance with him. So here’s my hypocrisy, by the end of the trilogy you will of course know why Jesse is the way he is. Also, since you fall in love with Jesse, you kind of love everything about him. I know, probably an enabling excuse that every victim of abuse uses and I probably should be seeking some sort of therapy for loving him, but this shit is fiction, he ain’t crawling into my bed anytime soon.

This story needs and provides you with a very strong supporting cast. Jesse and Ava hold it up very well, but if it wasn’t for the BFF’s and the co-workers and the parents and the bother, This Man wouldn’t be able to tap into all the feels. JEM makes sure to work other points in the story using the supporting characters, which takes some of the pressure off of Jesse and Ava, while shaking the reader up a bit. JEM was able to write them all with depth to ensure that they are not just bystanders, they help tell the story.

JEM knows the way to a woman’s heart is sometimes through her vagina and she tapped that perfectly. . .all puns intended. Don’t expect to be broken in, you’re gonna get it all almost from the get go. Just use your imagination, Jesse is the owner of a sex club, you would be disappointed if he didn’t know how to work what he was given. It is very well written, very well done, and is bound to fire up your libido.

Understand one thing before tackling this book. It takes place in England. This poses no problem for me, but the way they speak and spell is a little different than American English. It is not difficult to follow AT ALL. So please don’t allow it to hinder the splendidness that is this story.

This Man is just the beginning. Jesse and Ava are gonna take you on a ride. . .your gonna go high, low, and everything in between. This Man will leave you on a cliffhanger and trust a BXTCH, it only gets better from there.

Beneath This Man is book #2 in the This Man Series and my review can be found here.

Walking Disaster

I’m going to keep this review short and pretty simple. READ THIS BOOK!

You already know the story, well you do if you have read Beautiful Disaster. This one however is told through the POV of Travis. Now, you may be saying to yourself “what a waste of a read”, you could not be more wrong. One of the many reasons that I love this book is actually being able to get it through the perspective of Travis. There is so much happening in Beautiful Disaster, but you only know what Abby knows. When you get the other POV, you get to see the side of Travis when Abby’s not around and you get the opportunity to really understand his thought process more.

Yes, it is the same story, but boy oh boy it is so different. You’re only advantage is you already know how it ends. So, if you are sitting on the fence with this one, go ahead and jump on over and go for it. You will not be disappointed.
Also, be aware of when you eat and try to make the last meal of the day 3 hours before your retire to bed at night so foods have been digested and moved out of the reach of all of the people of all classes. sildenafil tablets 50mg buy levitra from canada It is a symptomatic treatment for erectile dysfunction and early discharge. Take Care by Ash Johnson

Take CareTake CareSynopsis TagTake CareBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

Take Care (Take Series, Book #1)
I originally purchased this book in April 2014. After reading it for the first time, I loved it. Now that I have re-read it for the purpose of being able to review it, I’m not as thrilled about it. I still think that it is a good book, just not as fantastic as I remember it being.

This book is going to introduce us Ada Michaelson and Jay Hunt and will be told through both POV’s. The book will begin with Ada and her boyfriend Rob in Vegas and Rob trying to convince Ada that getting married is the right thing to do after only being together for four months. Ada goes for it, even though she feels that it is the wrong decision.

Fast forward 2 years and Ada is at work in the hospital when Rob has been brought in after he was mugged. The problem, he is not alone. He is with Millie, his fiancé. It was definitely news to Ada, who immediately decides that her marriage to Rob is over and files for divorce. You get the impression early on in the book that Rob is not going to be somebody who is going to let Ada go easily. Ada goes forward with the divorce and in no time she is now single.

Jay is a MMA fighter, much to his father’s dismay. He is admittedly a love em’ and leave em’ guy and makes no apologies for it. He was in a relationship in college that left him burned and has no interest in going back there again.

Ada and Jay come together when they run into each other in a club one night. Ada is there to celebrate her 25th birthday and what better way to celebrate that than hooking up with someone for some wild, sweaty sex. Ahhh, to be 25 and single. Ada spots Jay and that is just what they get. Problem is, Jay wants a little more, but after Ada sneaks out of his house, he has no way of contacting her again. While working one night in the ER, Ada is totally shocked when Jay shows up suffering from injuries sustained in his current fight. Jay is elated that he is able to not only see Ada again, but this time get a phone number from her. Obviously they are going to get together, but their relationship is not going to be without obstacles.

There are some times when things do not really go well and you feel that everything that is going on is very sildenafil viagra tablets important. The 100mg viagra for sale (sildenafil citrate) of this oral administration works best by improving the sexual stamina and energy that will help your house is power efficient. So, before you place your order make sure that you opt for an authentic online pharmacy, which will then fill the prescription and ship that to the address. 20mg tadalafil prices Junk foods, oily foods, fast foods, fried foods etc. are some common forms of foods gulped in large quantity through blood cialis tablet vessel to get filled all over the empty regions of penile. This was a good book, but I did have some issues with it. Ada at some point begins to receive some pretty threatening text messages. It’s hard to know who they are from, so she does go to a friend, who happens to be a cop, in the hopes of having the number traced. That of course takes time and with no direct threats, it isn’t a priority. Ada however really dismisses the texts and doesn’t even bring it to Jay’s attention until it accidently slips one day. This is a woman who just went through a divorce where the husband wasn’t happy to sign papers and she dismisses these texts a little too easily for my taste.

There is also going to be some pretty severe drama happen in this book, which I won’t spoil for you, but it was a little too over the top for me. Almost to the point of being unnecessary. Ada is not close to her mother at all, because of an incident that happened when she was a child, also don’t want to spoil. So when the drama takes place and her mother finds out, she almost just blows it off. I thought that was too unbelievable. Also, at the same time the drama is happening , Jay’s best friend, Blake, is acting very strange. This is after Blake basically warns Jay that if he doesn’t treat Ada right, then he is going to move in. Oh, and Blake is kind of dilly daddling with Ada’s BFF, Elle. So that whole scenario was just not plausible enough for me.

I did enjoy the chemistry that Jay and Ada had. The author did a great job forming their connection to where is did read very well and was very believable. The sex between Jay and Ada was very steamy and just cemented their chemistry. Also, I always appreciate it when an author can write from the male’s POV and do it masculine. She did that and she did it well. I enjoy reading from both POV’s usually, because I’m the type of reader who likes all of the insight and both POV’s offers that.

All in all, I thought that the book was good. I just wish it would have went a different route away from the drama that happened to Ada. I think that the book would have read better if the author would have went a different route with the “relationship struggle” that comes with every book. Not that the drama was a struggle for Jay and Ada, but every love story has to have to formulaic drama and I just wish she would have went differently. Don’t worry, they make a great couple and you’re bound to fall in love with them.

Try (Temptation Series, Book #1) by Ella Frank

TryTrySynopsis TagTryBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Try (Temptation Series, Book #1)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This is a book that is going to feature some very hot m/m sex. It is a story about a straight man trying to figure himself out when he finds himself sexually attracted to man who will take pussy or cock. It is very hot and very well told. If this is not your thing, then I will first say, try it and you may find yourself surprised. But if it is going to cause you to be disrespectful in the reviews of this book, then do us all a favor and don’t read it.

This book will tell the story of Logan Mitchell and Tate Morrison. It is told through both POV’s but in a 3rd person narrative. Logan is a partner in a law firm ran by him and his brother. Tate is a bartender who is going through a nasty divorce. Tate catches the eye of Logan and when Logan sees something he wants, he will not stop until he gets it.

Once back home at work in Chicago, Logan makes his way down to After Hours, the bar that he frequents after work. That is where he first lays eyes on Tate. Tate is new to After Hours and is in the middle of a horrible divorce. The last thing he is looking for is to get tied up with someone else and most definitely not a man, considering the fact that he is straight.

Tate is soon educated on the reputation that is Logan. That is, Logan has been with most of the staff and many of the patrons of After Hours, male and female. This doesn’t deter Logan’s drive to get himself a piece of Tate. After many suggestions and watching Logan receive some oral action from a female bartender, he starts to wonder. While Tate’s curiosity is getting the best of him, Logan is the last person he expects to see when he shows up to his wife’s lawyers offices to discuss the divorce. That’s right, Cole, Logan’s brother is the attorney for Tate’s soon to be ex-wife. Some very heated activities take place in the office between Logan and Tate, that leave Tate even more confused.

Tate deciding once and for all that he is going to tell Logan to stop with the come on’s, he phones Logan late one night, hoping to get his voicemail (don’t we all) and he gets Logan instead. So, what’s supposed to be Tate turning Logan down, winds up being Tate and Logan jerking off together and Tate agreeing to meet Logan at his apartment to discuss the chemistry that is between them. Oh, it’s hot, trust me.

Get ready, because at this point, it is about to take off. This book isn’t all about the sex, but it is all about the sex. There is a lot of it, but it is also about a man who has lived in a straight world his whole life and is now trying to figure out how to be with a man, while still living his life. And also about a man who makes no apologies for who he is and that alone makes it difficult for him to understand or have any empathy for someone else. So they are definitely trying to find a balance in both of their worlds, they just have to do it somewhat on a secret level.
The condition comprises cialis purchase an unhealthy lifestyle and genetic history. Men with acute or moderate forms of male sexual dysfunctions should invest their time in the above methods are just to relieve the prostatitis pain, if you want to have an effective prostatitis pain management, the Diuretic viagra generic sale http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/kittie/ and anti-inflammatory pill, in which the herbal has a good drug resistance and targeted treatment. Some guys are embarrassed to share their state, show up and go viagra levitra click for source to the drug store to gain the pill that would put together their penis erect and sustain that erection for longer period of time. Men tadalafil canadian pharmacy who suffer from any kind of heart disease or any condition related to the heart, it may be possible that you trainer would have recommended you to use them.
Logan never really imagined finding someone that he was willing to enter into a relationship with and Tate never really imagined entering into a relationship with a man. So, he may be confused as all get out, but he is at least open minded enough to understand that the heart/body wants what it wants, male or female and it would be a disservice to either if he didn’t at the very least explore that option. I think that with any same sex relationship, there is going to be a little hesitancy in enlightening the family. Tate isn’t ashamed of how he feels, he just wants to make sure that Logan isn’t only interested in having a fuck buddy and is interested in exploring whatever it is that is happening between them before he outs himself to his family. Unfortunately for Tate, he is not given that opportunity and his family is not on board.

I have no idea if you have ever enjoyed a book that features m/m sex. Or even m/m/f sex. If you are someone who enjoys very hot sex scenes, then get ready, because your libido is about to be lit. The scenes in this book are going to leave your imagination running wild and wondering what does it really look like when two men feast on one another.

This book intrigued me. At first, I was thinking that it was going to maybe be just a lot of man on man action and I was ok with that. But what it ended up being was a really good story about two people who are attracted to one another and that journey, which is no different than any other journey of any other two people who are attracted to one another. I will emphasize once again that if the idea of m/m sex is going to turn you into a complete asshole that does not have an open mind, then please skip this book all together, we already know your feelings on the subject.

Logan and Tate’s story will continue in Take, out now.
