BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I’m not sure what drove me to read this book, I mean, it was released two years prior to giving it the good ole one click, so I’m obviously a little late to the Wind Dragon’s MC party, but better late than never, right? But then I discovered something. When I went to Goodreads to get ready to write this review, this book is not only marked as “read” on my account (in 2014), but I gave it 4 stars there as well and I have no memory of ever reading this book, so I guess I wasn’t late to the party after all and it must’ve been one helluva party, since I have no recollection of even attending it. Before jumping in and falling in love with all things Wind Dragon, you should know that I do believe that when it comes to a MC series, you should certainly read the books in the order in which they were written. The character foundation for subsequent books are usually laid in books leading up each character’s particular book and it’s usually a foundation that the reader needs under them so they can really enjoy what the author is trying to do and this series is no different. I hope that makes sense.

Dragon’s Lair is told through the POV of Faye.

Faye grew up next door to Dex and Eric (brothers), with Dex always looking out for her. She grew up in a house where she was never quite good enough, so having Dex and Eric was a great refuge for her. Faye always had a crush on Dex growing up, but with a five year age difference, she never really saw herself having a chance. As time went on and she went from child to woman, she actually fell in love with the other brother, Eric.

Faye is in law school and even though she is a full fledged adult, she still cannot seem to do right by her parents. Her life completely changes when she walks in on Eric pounding into a girl that is not her, but a girl that Faye considered a friend. It doesn’t take any time at all for Faye to realize that not only is her relationship with Eric over, but her friendship with him is as well. Faye takes her heartbreak and takes full advantage of the saying. . .“the best way to get over a guy is to get under another”, or something like that. Wanna take a guess at who the lucky guy is that Faye decides to get under? Yep, her childhood crush becomes a reality when she runs into Dex outside a bar. A great night of fucking and a broken condom equals a very unplanned pregnancy. An unplanned pregnancy that has Faye’s parents kicking her out and one that finds Faye hitting the road, that is until Dex catches wind that he now has a baby momma and he sets out to find her.

Once Dex charges back into Faye’s life, he takes her back to the Wind Dragon’s MC compound, determined to not only protect her, but to be the best father he can be for his unborn child. And that is where this book takes off.

Dex aka Sin is the VP of the Wind Dragon’s MC and while a condom breaking isn’t exactly the way he planned for his life to go, he cannot be more thrilled that it’s Faye who he was with when the condom broke and that it’s Faye who he planted his seed inside of. With threats coming from a rival MC, Dex is going out of his way to ensure that the threat doesn’t touch Faye or his unborn child. That proves very difficult when dealing with the likes of a very strong willed, stubborn individual like Faye.

Like with every great MC read, Dragon’s Lair is wonderfully supported by a cast of characters that are fantastically written. Like I said earlier, while this book may be Dex and Faye’s story, roots are planted, watered, and nurtured, while we wait for the other stories to grow and the best laid seed in this book is that of Arrow, which is the focus of book #2. The chemistry between the club members and Faye and the club members and each other, just electrifies off of the page.

If you were thinking that you were going to get a MC story that lacked in the bedroom, you opened the wrong book. The sexual tension, as well as the sex itself between Dex and Faye is on fire. Faye is pretty inexperienced when it comes to things that go bump between the sheets, Eric being her one and only sexual partner, but enter Dex and her sexual world is about to enter a whole new level, a level you’ll want to stick around for.

Dragon’s Lair was a pleasant surprise for me. The way that Chantal Fernando was able to bring in the right amount of drama and keep you on the edge of your seat, then have you laughing out loud with the turn of a page was brilliant. Sometimes in order to get to the point where the reader falls in love with the leading Alpha, they have to wade through some murky hate to get there. But with Dex, it was love all the way. Since we only get Faye’s POV, we know early on that her crush on Dex goes all the way back to childhood, but it doesn’t take too much time to realize that Dex’s feelings go pretty far back with Faye as well and it really was a beautiful love story to see come alive. . .all thanks to a broken condom.

There are so many different types of MC reads. . .there are ones that are very dark (see Madeline Sheehan). . .there are ones that are light on the MC and heavy on the Alpha (see Kristen Ashley). . .there are ones that are heavy on the MC action and heavy on the Alpha (see Joanna Wylde). . .then there are ones that mix the right amount of MC, the right amount of Alpha, and mix it with the right amount of laugh out loud humor (see Chantel Fernando and the Wind Dragons MC). The great thing about all of these? They are all great MC reads and they all offer you something different, so it’s not the same story, different author. Dive in, you’ll certainly enjoy.Bxtches Be ReadingBook Review.4Favorite Quotes TagDragon's Lair (Wind Dragon's MC Series, Book #1) by Chantal Fernando | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Until June (Until Her Series, Book #2) by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Until June (Until Her Series, Book #2) by Aurora Rose Reynolds | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comUntil June (Until Her Series, Book #2) by Aurora Rose Reynolds | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comSynopsis TagUntil June (Until Her Series, Book #2) by Aurora Rose Reynolds | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: If by some crazy chance, Until June is the very first time you have heard of Aurora Rose Reynolds, then pay attention. Usually I will be a helpful BXTCH and enlighten as to whether or not you can thoroughly enjoy a book without partaking in the ones that came before. And truth be told, you may be able to do that with Until June, I just don’t recommend it. This is a generational series and if you think you’re going to enjoy this series (and you definitely will), then don’t start with this book. You need to go back and start with the Until Series, which is the series that kicks it all off. So, start with this order. . .

Until NovemberUntil TrevorUntil LillyUntil Nico

After you have enjoyed the Mayson men and their woman and trust a BXTCH, it’s good fucking reading, you’re going to move onto the kiddos, starting with the Until Her Series and book #1 in that series is Until July THEN we’re going to cut over to book #1 in the Until Him series and read all about fine ass Jax in Until Jax THEN we’re back to the Until Her Series and right where we are now with June’s story. So, technically you don’t have to really start with the parents in the Until Series, but I promise you, it’s worth it.

But, while we’re breaking down the series, June is the daughter of Asher and November (book #1 Until Series). We’ve already met July (book #1 Until Her Series) who is June’s sister and Jax was the first book in the Until Him Series and he is the son of Cash and Lilly (book #3 Until Series). So it may seem a bit complicated, but once you start, it’ll sort it self out.

Until June will be told through the dual POV of June and Evan.

In Until July, we kinda got a teeny glimpse into June and what was happening with her (see what you miss when you read books out of order?), so we knew something good was coming down the line. In case you need a refresher, remember the girls all went out and June had mentioned that she was married and that she had recently been served divorce papers from her mother-in-law. When she mentioned her husband’s name (Evan), Ashlyn (Jax’s sister) spoke up about Jax hiring hiring a guy named Evan and when June added 2 and 2, she quickly realized that it equaled the same Evan. But during July’s story, June was still in college in Alabama.

Now, June is back home in Tennessee and Jax has her “under protection” and her watch dog is none other than. . .Evan. June’s ex-boyfriend, Lane, was caught up in a drug scandal and has recently been placed behind bars, but to be sure that June is safe from the likes of anything touched by Lane, her family thinks that it is best for her to be guarded. . .hence the bodyguard. The catch here is no one, except the ones she told on her girls’ night out, even knows about her relationship with Evan. That includes her parents, her uncles, and Jax, so when she puts in the request to have Evan removed from “June duty”, it falls on deaf ears.

When June confesses her secret marriage to her girls on that night out in Until July, the reader is kind of given the impression that Evan is an asshole. I mean who marries a girl, very whirlwind by the way, right before he is set to leave for boot camp, then comes home from Afghanistan and is home for two weeks with no contact with his bride, then has his mom serve the papers? That’s pretty assholey, right? But, once you understand his story, your head is gonna understand and your heart is gonna fall in love.

There is certainly some suspenseful drama clawing it’s way out of this one. If you remember from July’s story, her hubby Wes, belongs to a MC, well, Evan has joined the same MC. . .Broken Eagles. . .and I am pretty stoked to say that there is a bit more MC action in June than there was in July and that makes me a very happy BXTCH. It’s not enough to dedicate this a MC book, but it’s just enough to tickle the tastebuds. And some of the drama in June, surrounds the MC, so that was fun.

While I believe that the whole Until Series is a great ensemble cast, we don’t get our fix with everybody in June. Of course we get Asher and November as well as the sisters, and we also get a bit from Nico and of course, there is Jax. We don’t get anything from Trevor and Liz (bummer) and we have yet to get the full spectrum of all of the kids, but I understand, this is a story about June and I’m sure trying to include everyone would take away from what the book needs to do. But, overall I though that June had just enough of the ensemble to remind you of them and why you fell in love with the Mayson family in the first place. Asher was the first Mayson story to be released and he still gives it just as good. Since Ashlyn is next in line for the Until Her series, she got a little play time and just like in July, you know from her appearance in June that her story is certainly going to revolve around her boss, Dillon and this BXTCH cannot wait.

I’ve said this before, but sometimes when I read sex in various books, I wonder if I would be able to capture a moment and have it come alive as well as someone like Aurora Rose Reynolds? Truthfully, probably not. But, Lordy Lou, I wonder if while some of these authors are getting the business, are they mentally taking notes, or are they just watching good porn? I’m not complaining either way, because Evan knows how to give the business and give it good. There is no lack of libido on either part in Until June and it certainly leaves the reader satisfied.

When it comes to a series that I am already devoted to, I don’t really read the reviews that readers have left on Amazon or Goodreads, because my mind is already made up and I know I am purchasing the next book regardless, I mean c’mon, I am mentally invested in this family. Having said that, I did happen to check out the “critical” reviews on Amazon and everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, and some of the complaints, I understood. . .the main ones being that there was too much sex and there is a lot of it in this book, but I saw it more as a couple who really shouldn’t have been separated, trying to make up for lost time. I imagine if my husband were in the military or any job that took him away from me and my bed for long periods of time, then his dick is going to get a workout when it he gets back, so I can’t be too critical about that issue. The other complaint is Evan is too alpha and he treats June as a doormat. The only thing I can say to that is I don’t really think you read it right or read it how Aurora Rose Reynolds intended for Evan to be. She did a good job in displaying the love Evan has for June and vice versa. He is certainly Alpha, there is no doubt about it, however I think she soothes those parts in the book with a very sweet man and one who is so in love with his person. The complaint that there is a lack of a storyline, made me chuckle a bit. Leading up to this book, every female in the entire Until Series has had some sort of issue with her that required her to be rescued and if she would’ve went that way with June, I still would’ve loved the book, but I would also understand the complaint better. The story is good, I do think that there are others in the series that are more robust, but all in all, she told the story well. The only piece of advice I can offer is this. . .if you decide to indulge in June before getting to know the Mayson’s, then don’t complain. Each person brings their own uniqueness to each book and if you haven’t yet enjoyed them then it’s kind of hard to get the full experience. Anyway, that’s my rant. Can’t wait for Ashlyn’s story.

Ryker: A Cold Fury Hockey Novel (Cold Fury Hockey Series, Book #4) by Sawyer Bennett

Ryker (Cold Fury #4) review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Ryker (Cold Fury Hockey Series, Book #4) by Sawyer Bennett | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comRyker (Cold Fury Hockey Series, Book #4) by Sawyer Bennett | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comSynopsis TagRyker (Cold Fury #4) review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBXTCHES Gotta Warn: Since I originally read this series out of order and having said that, I only read books #3, 4, and 5. . .I am now rereading the entire series, in order and I have made it back to Ryker and his book. I can now say with confidence that you should read this series in the order in which they written. Characters from previous books continue to make appearances and we also get introductions to future characters. Reading in order really helps keep the balance of the series.

Ryker will be told through both Ryker and Gray’s POV.

Ryker was introduced to us during Zack’s book and not only did we get introduced, but we also got a small foundation of his story. His wife, Hensley, had an affair with a teammate (not Cold Fury), a nineteen year old teammate, which led to some hands being thrown, which led to Ryker being picked up by the Cold Fury. We also learned that not only did Ryker and Hensley have two daughters (Violet and Ruby), but Hensley decided that she wanted to travel with her new love and because of this, she wanted Ryker to take the girls. This happenstance is what led him to hire Kate. None of this spoils this book, it was all revealed during book #3 (Zack).

Ryker kicks off (somewhat) with the Cold Fury introducing their new GM. Gray Brannon. The daughter of Brian Brannon, who happens to own the organization. While this may seem like a cut and dry case of nepotism, Gray has earned her spot. She’s 31 years old, an ivy league graduate, a two-time Olympic medalist (hockey, of course) and previously held the title of head scout. She also has some very innovative ways to manage a hockey team (think Moneyball, just on ice). Her and Ryker hit it off from the get go and it’s not much longer after that, that their relationship is taken to a new and really an inappropriate level.

Credentials aside, clearly you can see the issues with a 31 year old female GM, who also happens to be the daughter of the owner. Add in the way she is wanting to steer the team and problems will ensue and we haven’t even got to the Ryker issue yet and all that takes is a little bit of yoga.

So, the main back and forth in this book is surrounding Gray really having an issue with being in love/lust with a player and the implications that will come with that where her job is concerned. She is well aware of the fact of how important and historical her position is and she’s even more cognizant of what could happen if news of their relationship were to get out. For Ryker, he is quite respectful of the need to keep their relationship under wraps, but things do become a bit difficult when Hensley makes a more permanent appearance in Ryker’s life. The dilemma is really an age old one for women, what will she choose, love or her love for her career? One would think that it’s not really fair for her to have to make a choice and I think you actually may be surprised at how it all comes together in the end.

Since we were introduced to Ryker during Zack’s story and a friendship developed, Zack appears in this story, along with Alex and Garrett. Given the position that Gray carries in this book and her crucial desire to be respected for her abilities, their are several different relationships working with her at the same time and really add a fundamental layer to the overall flavor of Ryker. There’s the relationship between her and her father, which is a very strong, mutually respectful one. There’s also her dynamic with Frank, the assistant GM, who believes that he should really be the one in her shoes and has a difficult time accepting that she is his boss and while he may be an asshole, their relationship becomes a pretty important one. Of course, there’s the relationship between GM and the team. And obviously, there is the relationship between her and Ryker. Ryker the hockey player AND Ryker the man.

Ahhh, the sex between a hockey player and really anyone, however in this case we’re talking about Gray and it’s everything you’d expect it to be. Lots of passion? Check. Lots of orgasms? Check. Lots of dirty talk? Check. The inability to keep your body parts to yourself? Check. So, in a nutshell, it’s what it should be. Dirty, hot, panty ripping, and pleasure inducing fun.

I love the way that the author characterized Gray in this book. She made her a very strong, fierce woman who makes no apologies for her ambition and going after what it is she wants. She knows how talented and smart she is. On the other hand with Ryker, he was written in a very idea way. He is a loving father who realizes how important it is to be present for his daughters; he was someone who could admit his wrong doings where his marriage failed, even though he wasn’t the one who cheated; he was really understanding of the need Gray has to keep their relationship under wraps and even going out of his way to allow her to have it all, the man and the job. The sexual compatibility between Ryker and Gray was on point. What I’m really trying to say is, it’s going to be really difficult to not fall in love with who Ryker and Gray are.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Reaper’s Stand is part of the Reaper’s Motorcycle Club series and while this story could be read as a stand alone, I do believe that doing so would mess with the flow of the series. I think that MC series should go in the order in which they were written because chances are there’s a storyline that could be interrupted if you were to go out of order. And because MC books tend to be ensembles, we get to receive constant updates from book to book.

Reaper’s Stand will feature London and Picnic and will be told through both POV’s.

It must be said that I didn’t really think I would enjoy this book (not like the previous ones anyway). I read it for sheer series completion because I didn’t want any gaps in between books. Let me tell you how wrong this BXTCH was. I loved, loved, loved, this book. My biggest reason for questioning Reaper’s Stand was Picnic. I didn’t really know how I would feel about him, well, worries be gone, he was awesome. Let’s refresh our memories for a second. If you remember the end of Devil’s Game, we got a teeny tiny glimpse of this book.

London Armstrong is a thirty-something who is just trying to do right by her cousin’s daughter, Jessica. London took over custody when her cousin Amber was a little more into drugs than she was her own daughter. The problem is Amber went through her entire pregnancy doing drugs and unfortunately, it had a life long effect on Jessica and consequently it’s London who is picking up the pieces. London owns a professional cleaning company and she had been hired to clean for the Reaper’s MC. This is where she catches the eye of the Picnic. He may not be ready to actually admit that he is interested, but he does make her off limits to the club.

This book is actually going to start off quite interesting. It starts with London waiting on Picnic to show up for dinner so she can actually put a bullet in him. Sounds crazy, right? Well, not as crazy as the journey that puts London in that position.

After reading the previous books in this series, you should already know that the Devil’s Jacks and the Reaper’s are having issues with the cartel. Well, this is the book that will bring it all to a head. I can’t really divulge too much information on how they get there, but I can certainly enlighten you on other parts.

Like I said before, I didn’t really think I would enjoy Picnic’s story too much, but it really fit the bill of everything I love in a MC story. If you haven’t read any previous books in this series, then I should tell you a couple of things. First, Picnic is the President of the Reaper’s MC. He has two daughters (Em and Kit) with his now deceased wife, Heather. It should be said that Picnic was a very loyal husband, but once she passed, he took on some very whorish ways. He’s horny and he is not picky. As long as she’s legal, she’s up for grabs. In fact there are going to be some instances that you may believe he’s an asshole and you would be correct, but no worries, all is redeemed.

London is extremely attracted to Picnic, but has a boyfriend of her own, Nate. She’s been seeing him for several months but has yet to give up the goods and it has been years since her goodies have had any enjoyment from the opposite sex. It eventually gets to the point that Picnic and London can’t keep their hands off of one another and one thing leads to another and well, you should be able to figure out the rest. You’re probably wondering how London winds up with a gun and Picnic #1 on her hit list. The only thing I can say about that is in order to save one person she loves, she has to kill another.
Some stop trying to have intercourse all cialis professional for sale together while doing nothing about finding the answer. Typical muscle achat viagra pfizer relaxant medications are administered either orally or by direct injections into the spinal fluid.
We should probably discuss the supporting characters this book brings to the table. I say this a lot, but the one thing I really enjoy about MC books is the fact that in order to really tell the story well, all characters have to bring something to the table. And this series does it so well. We get a glimpse of the headliners from past books, while also getting a new crop to love or hate.

Picnic may be one of the “older” members, but he sure is no slouch between the sheets. And once he strikes the fire that has been dormant in the loins of London, there is no putting it out. I love the sex scenes in Reaper’s Stand, they’re just raunchy enough, while still being super passionate and they give your toes a good curl. After reading Horse’s story, he was headed to the top of the list, then I read Ruger and thought “hell yeah”, Liam then swooped in and stole the show, but now there’s Picnic and I think he may be leading the pack here.

Reaper’s Stand really represents what a great MC story is. It has the crime, the grittiness, the Alphaness, the sex, the fierce women and it will keep you engaged while eager to turn the page and make it very difficult to put down.

We’re not quite done with the Reaper’s yet. Reaper’s Fall is next. This is Painter’s story and we have met him, we have been pissed at him, and now it’s time to fall in love with him.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Devil’s Game is the third book in the Reaper’s Motorcycle Club series and just like any great MC series, the foundation begins to be poured in the first book and continues to build in subsequent books. Now, if you’re someone who likes to read out of order, heed the following warning. If you haven’t yet read Ruger and Sophie’s story in Reaper’s Legacy (book #2), then you need to do so BEFORE moving on to Em’s story. There is a storyline in that book that carries over into this book. I know a lot of times these books can be read as stand alones, this is not one of them. So, don’t bitch about it, just do it. Trust me, Ruger is hot and his story is pretty damn worth it.

Devil’s Game will be told through the POV’s of both Em and Hunter/Liam.

Let’s backtrack a bit. I’m sure if you finished book #2, then you are well aware of who Hunter/Liam is, but for the sake of refreshing your memory, we’re gonna flashback a bit. But for those rebels out there who have decided to go against the grain and read these books out of order, there are certainly some spoilers ahead. Remember in the beginning of book #2, when Ruger was moving Sophie out of Seattle, there was a guy across the hall that Noah was hiding from and if you recall, that guy was an ex Devil’s Jack. Also if you recall, Ruger and Horse let the Devil’s Jack MC come and clean up their own mess. Well, Hunter was one of the Jack’s that was sent. In an effort to not confuse you, Hunter is Liam, Liam is Hunter. So, from this point on, we shall call him Hunter, since that is his MC name and all.

Hunter has been assigned the job of collecting info on Emmy Lou Hayes. She is Picnic’s daughter and we have been getting to know her since way back in book #1. Hunter reaches out to Em (as Liam, of course) and they strike up a friendship. In fact, you may remember some of that from the second book. . .when Kimber and Sophie encouraged Em to meet up with Liam and hopefully turn in her V-card in the process. Now, Em has always thought that Painter was going to be her one. That all changes when she walks in on him taking on a club whore right on the bathroom sink. And that is the catalyst that speeds things up with Hunter. If you have read Reaper’s Legacy, then you know that it is Hunter and Skid who kidnap Sophie and Em. In that story, it was told from Sophie’s POV, so as the reader we had no idea what was happening on Em’s end, even though we knew something was happening based on the noise that was coming out of her room. In Devil’s Game, we get all the details that we need to put pieces together. From before the kidnapping when Hunter was wooing Em, to the actual kidnapping, to what happened in Em’s room during the kidnapping. Not only are you going to get it through Em’s perspective, but we also get Hunter’s as well.

While the main storyline in Devil’s Game is that of Hunter and Em, there is an underlying one as well, and that is Em getting out on her own. We get to meet Kit in this book. She is the younger sister of Em and the one who stands up to Picnic and really does as she pleases, making Em envious. So, after the kidnapping, Em decides that it’s time to get out of Coeur d’Alene once and for all and start the process of becoming her own person. Surely, you can see where this is headed.

We already know that Em saved Hunter and Skid from being killed by the Reaper’s. And while part of that reason was to save the truce between the two clubs, the other part was Em just not wanting her club killing Hunter, because kidnapper or not, she has feeling for him. And these feelings that they begin to feel for one another is not only going to be a huge uphill battle, but could come down to being a matter of life and death. And people on both ends aren’t afraid of speaking up and letting both Em and Hunter know how dangerous it will be if they decide to get involved with one another.

I’ve said once before that these books get better the further the series progresses and this book just proved that theory. Now, I loved Sophie and Ruger, but I LOOOVED Em and Hunter. For me, this story was more MC than the other two. It was certainly grittier and more criminal in nature, which really adds another layer of excitement. Also, the story flows really well. Even though a good chunk of the first half of the book is spent dealing with the kidnapping and we’ve already been told that part of the story, it didn’t feel like a re-tell at all. And when the book moves into the second half, it sucks you in and engrosses you very thoroughly, it almost dares you to try and put the book down, something that I don’t think you’ll be able to.

The supporting cast of characters are back in this book, however, I do wish we would’ve gotten more of them. We definitely get reacquainted with some of the guys from the Reaper’s and we also get introduced to some from the Jack’s. What we don’t get however, is a lot from the ladies, which I would’ve liked to have seen more from since they’re Em’s circle and she was going through some shit in this book, so she needed them. But, overall, I don’t think that any lack of character support derailed me from my love of this book.

This book is strung tight with sexual tension. We all know that Em is a card carrying member of the V-Club and that angle definitely adds to the overall strain that both Em and Hunter are experiencing. I’m not sure how you’ll feel after you read the scene in which Em gives it all up. When I first read the scene I think I may have been a little put off, because it’s not really how you expected it to pan out. But, then I got my head together and remembered that I am in fact reading a MC book and Hunter is pretty much all Alpha and so while it may not have been romantic, I wouldn’t remove “hot” from the list of adjectives one would use to describe it. Plus, Em is twenty-something, dying to rid herself of her innocence, so who am I to complain about how it went down. Bottom line, Hunter and Em have great sexual chemistry and it comes pouring off of the pages.

This is one of my favorite MC series.  There are so many books in this particular genre as of late and sometimes I feel like I’m reading a very poorly written script of SOA, but not this series. It is full of grit, crime, lots of Alpha hotness, great sex, camaraderie, and really everything one needs to use as an excuse to shoo away the kiddos and tell them “not now, mama’s at a good part”. I really don’t think you will be disappointed.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I know it’s the same warning each and every time, but once again. . .this series NEEDS to be read in the order in which they were written (Rock Chick, Rock Chick Rescue, Rock Chick Redemption, Rock Chick Renegade, Rock Chick Revenge, Rock Chick Reckoning, Rock Chick Regret, Rock Chick Revolution, and Rock Chick Reborn). While I’m sure you can still get your fill if you were to read out of order, TRUST a BXTCH when she tells you that it’s not the same.

Rock Chick Revenge will be told through the POV of Ava.

KA had done a pretty great job thus far introducing us to our next leading lady by the end of the previous book. For example, at the end of Indie’s story, we got somewhat of an introduction to Jet, we didn’t get to meet Roxie, but at the end of her book, we met Jules when she was in a tire shootout right in front of Fortnum’s. It is at the end of Jules’ story that Ava walks into Nightingale Investigations looking for Luke and that is where the beginning of her story begins.

We also already know Luke. While we didn’t meet meet him during Indy and Lee’s story, he did have a bit of a story line in that book. He was the one who was shot in the gut. We really got to know him during Roxie and Jules stories. And those particular relationships may throw wrenches into what he is building with Ava. So, there is definitely angst and drama with Luke and Ava and it’s the kind of drama that we haven’t really been introduced to yet in this series.

At this point in the series, Indie and Lee are the only couple that have a history and their history is pretty long. Jet didn’t know Eddie. . .Roxie didn’t know Hank. . .and Jules may have heard of Vance, but had yet to meet him. Ava has known Luke since she was eight years old (he was twelve) and has possibly been in love with him since then. There are a few things to know before diving in. Ava has two sisters (Sophia and Marilyn), who along with her mom, are better known as “The Barlow Bitches”. . .Her father (whom she adored) left when she was young. . .Her best friend in the entire world is Sissy. . .The last time she laid eyes on Luke was at this father’s funeral and she was 75 pounds lighter.

Of course there’s a reason why she’s shown up at Nightingale Investigations. Her BFF Sissy is married to an absolute dick (Dom) and Ava needs some help digging up dirt on “Dom the Dick” so Sissy can make out great in the divorce. The problem, once she arrives at Nightingale, she realizes what a mistake it was. Unfortunately she is too late, Mace is blocking her exit and everyone else wants to see how this plays out. Trust me, you’ll want to see it too, bets are about to be placed and for the first time, Shirleen is able to get in on the ground floor.

It’s a long story, so it’s easier to just cut to the chase because there are two separate “dramas” working at the same time and both involve Ava. Here we go: Luke finally shows up at Nightingale and confronts Ava about any problems she may have, she denies it, but later that night finds herself in the middle of some gunfire while trying to get the goods on Dom the Dick. Luke of course is there to shield her and now has the catalyst he needs to get her into his loft. Since Ava has been in love with Luke since she was 8 years old and has dreamed of the moment she would once again be face to face with him (75 pounds lighter of course), she soon realizes she may have gotten more than she bargained for. Luke being the fine, fine, alpha male that he is, takes a page out of Lee’s handbook and not only decides to take something other than money for his services, but also brings handcuffs into the mix. We all know where this is going to end up, but interruptions right before the good stuff and quipy remarks between Luke and Ava are pretty priceless.

Here’s where the first part of Ava’s drama comes in. The reason that Sissy has decided to divorce “Dom the Dick” is because he made a pass at Ava (with tongue) and Sissy walked in on it. Dom is actually the one in trouble and he has unknowingly pulled Ava into his situation. So, in typical Rock Chick fashion, there will be kidnappings and tasers and well, you know the drill.

The other drama that Ava gets involved in is actually a little more on the serious side. Ava’s past history with men has not been very successful, before or after the weight loss. There was the cheater, the porn addict, and the one who cleaned out her bank accounts and stole her dead aunt’s jewelry. Because of her devotion and commitment to her collection of vibrators, Ava has decided to pull out the full bitch (at times) on Luke. This isn’t the Ava that Luke remembers and he sort of vows to get the old Ava back from the assholes who chipped away at her. That is where the drama will unfold and it will get pretty ugly. Can’t say anymore however, I would hate to spoil it for you.

One can now order Kamagra online tab viagra 100mg within a few clicks. These all forms viagra 100mg for sale come with different dosages, amount, and price. As much as I love the main characters in these books, I must admit that one of my favorite parts about reading KA is the cast of support that she creates. They are all back in this book, though I felt not as prominent as in the others, they still are able to really bring the story around. All the Rock Chicks are back. Shirleen is as funny as ever and has actually claimed Ava as hers. Smithie makes a brief appearance, but it is memorable. And adding to the crew are Ava’s people. Sissy, Riley, The Barlow Bitches, the Mom’s, you will not be left wanting for any outside help.

Get out the fan, because the sex here is going to be scorching. I’ve said it over and over, but I’m somewhat convinced that KA may get some inspiration from watching the naughty stuff, which is certainly fine by me. Now, it takes a while for Ava and Luke to “do the business”, which is being bet on by the entire gang of Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch. But, when the business finally gets seen to, it is toe curling. My advice is this: Ladies, if you’re having a little difficulty getting inspired between the sheets, just read a couple of the scenes and turn them into some live action shots. Your man never has to know where inspiration hit you.

I have honestly read this book about 4 times, twice this year alone. Each time I read/re-read an installment of this series I think that one is my favorite and I am thinking the same thing with this book. The one thing that I really did love about this book, is with the exception of Lee and Indy’s story, Luke and Ava have know each other for most of their lives, so I felt that their story had more of an investment. This isn’t to say that I don’t love the other stories, because I do, but for the chubby girl who lives inside all of us and for that untouchable crush you had, this one kind of gets you.

There’s just something about reading a really good Kristen Ashley book that takes you away from everything surrounding you and allows you to really fall into what it is she sets out to accomplish. You know, books get made into movies all of the time, some do well, others don’t. I personally would LOVE if someone would take this series and turn it into an actual T.V. series, HBO style of course. I mean, c’mon, who wouldn’t love to actually see the ass of Luke, or the abs of Lee, or the whiskey eyes of Hank, or really, what in the hell Tex would really look like. I think a revolution needs to begin.

Zack: A Cold Fury Hockey NovelZack (Cold Fury Hockey Series, Book #3) by Sawyer Bennett | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comSynopsis TagZack: A Cold Fury Hockey NovelBxtches Be Blogging Book ReviewsBXTCHES Gotta Warn: So, I actually read this book out of order. When I came across this book, back in 2015, I dived in without any thought to the first two in the series. And while I read it without too much confusion, I have recently read the first two books (Alex) and (Garrett) and realize that while the book stood well on its own, it would’ve flowed better in order.

This book will be told through the POV’s of both Zack and Kate.

I’m gonna kick this off with Zack, mainly because this is really his journey. It was during Garrett’s story that Zack’s world was rocked when he and his longtime girlfriend (and mother of his child) was involved in a car accident that took her life. This book is going to begin about 4 months after that accident. Being the driver of the vehicle and only escaping with a broken wrist, Zack is living with a ton of guilt. Now it’s time for Zack to get back on the ice and in order for that happen, he’s gonna have to hire a nanny for his three year old son, Ben. Enter Kate.

Kate Francis is a twenty-three year old recent college graduate trying to pay her way through grad school. She is a huge hockey fan and couldn’t be more thrilled about being hired to be the nanny for Ben. The problem is Zack isn’t actually the one who hires Kate, his sister Delaney did. So, upon meeting, Zack is very close to firing Kate based on the initial impression alone. . .and by that, I mean her appearance. But Kate is definitely a go-getter who is going to say whatever is on her mind and that skill allows her to talk her way out of being fired.

I’m sure you could put together the fact that Kate’s appearance is not one that usually gets a double take. She wears clothes that are sizes too big, her hair is always pinned back, and her glasses are almost bigger than her face. So, one would think that because of this, there is no concern that temptation is going to be lurking between her and Zack, well on Zack’s end anyway and this is actually something Zack is somewhat grateful for. That is, until Zack catches her one night sending up a prayer of thanks for Ben & Jerry, wearing nothing but her very curve loving PJ’s. And I think you and I both know where this is headed.

Now that the image has been planted, Zack has dirty on the mind and since it shouldn’t be any sort of secret that a relationship is going to develop between Zack and Kate, it’s safe to tell you that with lust on both ends, they both decide to forge ahead with a sexual relationship. Zack knows mentally, he is in no place to push past and try to achieve something other than sexual encounters. And as assholey as it sounds, the sexual connection is really what he needs to help him push through the grief. So, that’s the jest of the development of their relationship. Zack is honest about what he has to offer and Kate agrees that if it gets too much for her feelings, then she will bow out.

While each book will be promoted as “part of a series” or “can be read as a standalone”, let’s just all agree that it should be read as part of a series and even though I haven’t read the entire series yet, it has the makings of an ensemble series. With everything Zack is going through, the support of his teammates is pretty paramount and that happens to include Alex/Sutton and Garrett/Olivia, they all are back for this one and we also get introduced to Ryker, who happens to be the leading man in book #4. Only time will tell if this series will turn into a full blown ensemble, but I’m definitely enjoying the updates from previous couples.

Let’s get to the dirty. The sex in this book was almost therapy. . .a necessity. The sexual tension here is almost as hot as the sex, even after the sex occurs, the sexual tension was a constant blanket. It encouraged the wanting. I personally thought a lot of the sex between Zack and Kate was more of a need for him and a want for her. Until it became something Zack started to crave because of Kate and not because of his need to escape.
ED linked to Vitamin D deficiency was present in 35% of men, compared to 29 without repeated penile failure issue. This pharmacy on line levitra These favorable conditions make your junior ready to perform the act. tadalafil pills The list not ends buy levitra uk here. Doctors suggested orden 50mg viagra only branded drugs before but they are wrong.
I really enjoyed Sutton and Olivia. Thought that they were both very well written. I fucking loved Kate. She didn’t have the greatest upbringing in life, but she is someone who always looks at the bright side. She is hilariously written, super witty, and recognizes her limits with Zack. She stands very well on her won two feet, even when she has to come toe to toe with Zack. But her capacity to love unapologetically and forgive with her whole heart is what makes her the best person for Zack and Ben.

As easy as it would be to become frustrated with Zack, it was somewhat difficult to. There were moments that I thought he emerged from the scene as “The #1 Asshole”, but I also think that during those moments, Kate holds her own. With the story being told from Zack’s POV as well, you do grow to sympathize, because knowing how his true feelings are regarding the death of Gina, you’re almost forced to cut the man some slack.

Sawyer Bennett does a really good job of connecting her audience to a character that really doesn’t exist, except in the memory of Zack, and that’s Gina. Even though we have met her in the previous books, she doesn’t have the presence there that she does here. I think given the circumstances, the author could’ve went an easier route by making Gina somewhat of a bitch, but she didn’t. She made her likable and put the burden on Zack to figure out a way to overcome his grief. She was able to write it to where even Kate had admiration and respect for Gina, so as the reader, you had no choice but to like her.

We’re on a good roll. They seem to just keep getting better and better. Zack is my favorite (as of now), I just felt overall it was a really well told story of loss and love and trying to figure out how to deal with grief and guilt. The circumstances surrounding Zack calls for a lot emotion. Kate balances that out by just being her. Every part of this book comes together in a way that will leave a smile on your face when the last page is turned.

Bxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

This book is a couple of years old and it’s been a while since I’ve read it, well before now anyways, but it never fails to entertain me. This is a fabulous book and series. If you haven’t yet let your imagination loose on Rosemary Beach, then you are certainly missing out and need to fix it ASAP. This book will be told through the POV of Blaire Wynn, our lovely leading lady.

This book begins finding Blaire outside the mansion of Rush Finlay, the son of rock legend Dean Finlay. It’s only been weeks since she lost her mother to cancer and even though her father walked out on his family five years earlier, he is the only family she has left and the house she finds herself sitting in front of, is the address he gave her. You should probably be aware that there is a web of relationships happening in this story and I will try not to confuse you too terribly much. Her first encounter is with Grant. Grant is Rush’s best friend/ex-stepbrother. All it takes is for Blaire to pull a gun on him for him to be Team Blaire. Oh yes, Blaire is an Alabama girl who knows how to wield a firearm. Grant introduces Blaire to the man of the house and if she was looking to be welcomed with open arms, she was let down pretty quickly.

Rush is not a very big fan of his mother, Georgianna, and detests her current husband, Abe, even more. Abe just so happens to be Blaire’s father. So his initial dislike of Blaire is really Rush just projecting his strong dislike for her father onto her. While he is an asshole from the get go, he does allow her to stay in his house, at least until she can speak to her dad and figure something else out. He may be cordial by letting her stay in his house, but don’t get carried away, he makes her stay in the maids room under the stairs. I forgot to mention that right before Blaire’s father walked out on his family, her identical twin sister Valerie was killed in a car accident. A car that their father was driving. So imagine first losing your other half, then your father leaving, then losing your mother to cancer all before the age 20.

Blaire finds a job pretty quickly at the local Country Club and becomes a hit from the start, especially with Woods, the son of the owner and Blaire’s boss. Tips are great for her, which is good, because she is getting the distinct impression from Rush that she will need to find a place of her own soon. It should go without saying that there is attraction from both Rush and Blaire to one another. Now, since we only get the story through Blaire’s perspective, we don’t necessarily know what Rush is thinking, but it’s pretty easy to figure out. He’s an asshole early on, but it doesn’t last long and his attitude towards Blaire changes pretty quickly. And he is harboring a secret that he feels will turn Blaire away forever, he’s just not willing to let her in on that secret just yet because it isn’t his story to tell.

Here’s the point that I have to tell you about Nan, since she is a huge part of this series. Nan is the half-sister to Rush (they share the same mother) and she is a MAJOR bitch and that may be me being too nice about her. Just to set you up a bit, Rush is very protective of Nan and Nan knows it and uses it to her full advantage. To give a little better understanding: Woods is interested in Blaire, but he knows that she is interested in Rush and that Rush is equally interested in Blaire. Woods warns Blaire about Nan by telling her that if it comes down to Rush having to choose between her and Nan, he will always choose Nan. I can understand sibling love and protectiveness, but Nan takes it way over the top. She goes out of her way to insult Blaire and make her feel inadequate every chance she gets. Even after I discovered the reason behind her hate of Blaire, her behavior was still unacceptable. But her character definitely adds necessary and fantastic drama to this book.
When you are searching for psychiatric doctors Bhopal with the actually headway then cialis price in canada there are different mental human services offices that will be the top decision. Since the book focuses on the relationship between Rush and Blaire, it’s no big secret that they hook up (I mean, look at the cover). But there are so many facets to this story, that you will constantly be wondering about the “happy ever after” for them. Unlike a lot of leading ladies, there wasn’t much that frustrated me about Blaire. Given her back story, you can’t help but have compassion for her and at least a little understanding for her feelings for Rush, even when you are thinking that she needs to walk away from him. Because on the very next page when he pleads his case, you will be right there with her saying, “give him a chance”.

This book is fantastically written and really tells a wonderful story. The supporting characters in this book really add the layer that takes this book from just being a book you read to being one that you can’t put down. It’s important to jump on their wagon, because many of them are going to get their own books down the road in this series.

The sex in this book is toe-curling. Even though Blaire is a virgin, at least when the book begins, it does not take away from the panty melting sex that is on those pages. Rush alone gives your imagination a show. It’s hot, sexy, passionate, and very well written.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of indulging yourself with a story written by Abbi Glines, well, you’re kinda crazy, but here’s what she does to a series. It’s more than just words on a page, it’s more like scenes, a movie reel that plays as you read. She makes you need the story, because once you start to read it, you have to continue it. She is one of those authors who gives meaning to the “just one more chapter”, there’s no such thing when you are reading one of her stories. This may be my first review on one of her books, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t read just one of her books. Trust me, this is a series you don’t want to miss out on. **There is a cliffhanger and the story continues in Never Too Far.
