BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I’m a day late on this, which sometimes screams “THE STORY Of MY LIFE!”, but I am hoping to get through this in one sitting. Wish me luck. I don’t know much about this episode (haven’t watched yet), except that Caelynn will tell Colton her story of sexual assault, so I’m guessing it’s gonna be somewhat emotional. I also know that they are leaving the mansion and taking this show international. Let’s get it going.

Last Week: The Beauty Queen Showdown kinda happened last week. . .I don’t know if it’s the end or just the beginning, regardless it wasn’t very appetizing. The same story was being told by both girls and all it left me with was wanting to know more, because let’s face facts, there is always more. The episode started with 19 hopefuls and Colton sent home four (Catherine, Caitlin, Nina, and Erin), which means that our Bachelor will be taking 15 girlfriends on the road with him. Should make for some fun times.

I don’t really know if I’m killing this or not, but as of this week, but I did turn in my best week, collecting 195 roses, bringing my overall total to: 520. The categories for week three were: Goes on a Group Date (5 points); Wears Sunglasses or Eyeglasses (5 points); Is Called “Manipulative” by Another Bachelorette (5 points); Kisses Colton (on the lips) (5 points); Exposed Bellybutton at the Pool Party (5 points); Receives a One-on-One Date Card (5 points); Receives a Rose (5 points); Finalist in Bachelor’s Strongest Woman Competition (10 points). My final results:

The categories for week four are: Goes on a Group Date (5 points); Eats Bullfrog, Eel, Pig’s Feet, or a Fish Eye (5 points); Refers to Demi by Name (5 points); Kisses Colton on the Lips (5 points); Receives a One-on-One Date (5 points); Wears Red Dress to the Rose Ceremony (5 points); Receives a Rose (5 points); Gets a Leech Applied to Her Body (10 points). On a side note, I’m patiently waiting for the category, Kisses Colton (not on the lips) and I hope it’s like worth 50 points.

While the girls are sitting around waiting for their leader (Chris) to tell them what’s on for the day, Alabama Hannah is telling the camera how emotionally exhausted she is and how everyone in the house knows her and Caelynn don’t like each other. . .girl, everyone in the world now knows and we will need a bit more information as to why. Once Chris arrives, he delivers a huge blow to Hannah’s ego, when he calls her Caelynn. He was asking how the pool party was for her and she tells him “not fun” because things were said about her that shouldn’t have been and she felt that she had to spend the majority of her time defending herself. I hate to revert back to grade school but, she started it. I’m confused on why she’s so upset with Caelynn when Caelynn was the one really having to defend herself. Some girls really are bitches. To say they are excited when Chris tells them that they’ll be meeting Colton in Singapore is an understatement.

To whomever thinks that it’s brilliant to have all the contestants stand on a balcony and shout, in this case they were saying goodbye to America and once in Singapore, hello to them, please stop. It’s way too corny and there’s no reason for them to tell us goodbye or anyone hello. I promise.

“Let’s fall in love.” The first international one-on-one of the season goes to Tayshia and it’s getting pretty entertaining watching the girls fake their excitement for the one Colton chooses to spend one-on-one time with. I’m guessing ABC is trying to have The Bachelor engage more with the viewing audience because once again, Colton is doing some sort of a video diary where he explains that he’s not very far along in his relationship with Tayshia, which I’m guessing is why she was chosen. He does end the video with “I hope we don’t die” and when they decide to go bungee jumping, his hope now makes much more sense. It’s cute when he realizes that this is a “legit bungee jump” and not just for show, I’m low key hoping one pukes on the other. A tandem jump would’ve been much more dramatic and maybe even added a rung on the relationship ladder for the two of them, but they went individually and neither died. . .or puked, which is surprising considering that Tayshia jumped feet first. The beach and a bit of making out is up next and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

Tayshia is a bit nervous going into the nighttime, because she does have something to tell him. Spoiler alert: she was married before. Colton starts out by laying it on thick. Let me tell you, for someone who has never had sex, he knows just what to say if that was where he wanted to go. Back to Tayshia. . .she married her first boyfriend, she was with him for about six years. She does use the good ole. . .“Being a Christian woman you think like, you get married once and that’s gonna be it.” I have no doubt that she is strong in her faith and I even believe her when she says she thought she would get married just once. However, I take issue with someone using her Christianity as her sounding board to marriage and then choosing to go on a television show to find her husband, while that said man is dating 20 plus women. Now, I haven’t really read the Good Word and I’m quite sure this type of courtship is not mentioned anywhere between the covers, but I am pretty confident when I say that Jesus don’t like this. Also, she was married and divorced within a year and a half, to her first boyfriend. That seems pretty life altering. Why rush into another marriage? Especially without some discovery first. She was with him for six years, she hasn’t really even been with Colton for six days, but is hoping that he deems her worthy enough to meet her at an alter. Colton takes it all well, he’s doing a really good job with the ladies when it comes to saying the right words and this was no exception. In the end, he does offer her the date rose and dreams of engagement rings are alive and well. Last up for the night is a ride on a massive Ferris wheel.

During her confessional, Tayshia admits to not being this excited about a relationship in a very long time and based on that comment alone, I think it’s time for some sort of flag to be thrown. Let’s recap. She was married and divorced all within the last year and a half. She was married to her very first boyfriend, someone that she was with for six years, she is 28, so regardless of how short the marriage was, that’s still a chunk of her adult life she has to mourn. How many potential relationships have there been? And I think she’s probably already falling in love.

“Let’s get a taste of Singapore.” Hannah G., Elyse, Kirpa, Sydney, Heather, Onyeka, Tracy, Nicole, Demi, Courtney, Katie, Cassie, and Hannah B., which leaves Caelynn the one chosen for the second one-on-one for the night and Alabama Hannah one pissed off beauty queen. Clearly she has forgotten that she was the first one-on-one of the season. Demi also has a lot to say, thinking that Caelynn was only chosen because of her feud with Hannah and how unfair that more of Colton’s time and energy is being spent revolved around just two girls and she doesn’t keep her opinion to herself. But back to group date. As soon as Colton was spotted, Demi took off like she was at the Olympics and Colton was the finish line. Now, I’m just an outsider looking in but clearly Demi hasn’t learned to read body language, because this isn’t something Colton is very comfortable with, which he shares in his confessional. He didn’t call Demi out, but did say that group dates are hard because his time is divided and he doesn’t really like to show “physicality” to a girl while the others can see. As uncomfortable as it may make him, he doesn’t put a stop to it, not when he’s giving her a piggy back ride and not when she suggests that just he and her get a picture made.

The date is finally kicking off and the first stop is leech therapy and this BXTCH would have to bow out of that round. After watching Stand By Me as a kid, no thank you. Fortune telling is next and Cassie is the one chosen. They find out that in a past life, they were siblings. Should make for an interesting hometown date. All the while, Hot Mess Express is reading every verbal and non verbal cue from Colton as a sign that he’s just not that into her. Lunch is next and the menu is full of bullfrog, pig’s feet, fish eye, and eel. In an effort to prove her undying love for the man of her dreams, Hannah B., tosses a fish eye into her mouth with the hopes that she moves up a couple of notches.

There are 13 girls on this date, so time is limited. It doesn’t take Hannah G. long to whisk Colton away for some alone time and hopefully a chance to get back on his radar. Once again, those left looking on are shocked that he was grabbed so quickly. I just wanna know what show do they think they’re on, because they clearly don’t know how this game is played. However, Hannah going first gives the others time to talk about the beauty queen issue. She lays out all of her concerns and he lets her know that he has decided that if her and Caelynn don’t get along, that’s between them and as long as it doesn’t affect his relationship with either, then he’s good. And things are back to normal when he finally gives her a kiss without being asked. Once again, Cassie and Colton have a chemistry that I think has yet to be matched. The familiarity with one another, the playfulness, even the way they make out, seems as far away from unforced as one could get. In the meantime, Courtney is about to give herself an anxiety attack. Not that I’m in a position to go out on the prowl, but if I were, her and I could not do that together, because one of us would need to be chill and not so wound up. She made it evident tonight that it wouldn’t be her and I worry about what even the mailman thinks about me, so I’m out. Maybe we could invite Demi. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t voluntarily agree with Demi, but when she says that Courtney needs to get out of her own head and she hasn’t really done anything to get time with Colton, she’s spot on. And speaking of Demi, she may not be my fav, but no one on the crew could help a sister out by blotting her face a little. Either it’s really hot there or the her face powder isn’t doing its job. Anyhow, she tries to force some tears when she tells Colton that her mom was released from federal prison that week, which I get. . .not easy to talk about, BUT if you go all the way back to the first episode, she talked about it with a smile on her face and even boasted about how her mom would be out in time for hometowns. So, it may seem that the girl is trying to put away the ridiculousness and tap into Colton’s softer side. She also believes that based on that conversation and Colton’s reaction, he definitely has feelings for her. Oh and he cares about her too. Courtney is continuing to prove that she is just not cut out for the show and even though Demi tries to give her advice by telling her to just make a move, she chooses to wait for him to come to her, which spoiler alert, it doesn’t happen. Meanwhile, to prove her point, Demi knowing that Courtney hasn’t had her chance with Colton (and in all fairness, refuses to take it) jumps at the opportunity for round two. Her makeup has definitely been touched up, so kudos to whoever made that happen. Now I’m not a big fan of Demi (clearly), but if Courtney has the balls to confront her about taking a second round with Colton before she’s even had her first, why couldn’t she just seek out Colton and get some time? And during the discussion with Demi, she brings up Demi’s age and references her maturity level and though it pains me to say this, the only child in that room was Courtney. One thing I can agree with Demi on is that everyone has the same end goal and that’s Colton, if you make friends along the way, great, but that shouldn’t be priority number one. And in fairness to Demi, she did try and tell Courtney to get her time and Courtney just sat there. I think she needs sympathy from people and is willing to risk time with Colton to get it, because at this point, it’s almost like she didn’t seek him out on purpose. She clearly wants to be chased and she’s on the wrong show for that shit, this is like an 80/20 relationship right now, with the women playing the part of 80. Things aren’t looking better when Colton hands Demi the date rose and once he leaves she talks and talks and talks and talks about it. That girl is making some friends for sure. Meanwhile, Courtney is busy crying off all of her make-up in the bathroom.

“I’ve been waiting for this special day for so long. Meet me downstairs. . .” Jealousy is on the menu because it’s time for Caelynn’s one-on-one date. We do find out through confessionals that Alabama Hannah did not clap for Caelynn at the Miss USA pageant. . .jealousy really doesn’t look good on her and it’s starting to appear that maybe Caelynn is the truth teller in this feud. Back to the date. First up is some shopping. It’s cute that Colton is leading her to believe that he’s the one footing the bill. Once they hit up the stores and she starts her fashion show, even I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to wind up in one of the dressing rooms rubbing one out of each other. And I will also say this, that BXTCH is gonna definitely show off one of those gowns during a rose ceremony, if only to gut Hannah, though I predict it would gut them all. And you know things are pretty damn special when you get to go back to the hotel, showing off all that he showered you with BEFORE you go back out with him for the night. This is clearly eating the others alive. Especially those who think/know that they are in good with Colton. Cassie is not handling this well, but the good girl in her makes sure to tell the camera how happy she is for Caelynn. She’s gonna make Colton so happy.

Nighttime is upon them, and going in, we know that Caelynn is gonna talk about some serious stuff with Colton. Knowing that she was sexually assaulted in college, it’s safe to assume that’s where she’s headed. She starts things off by telling Colton how happy he makes her and how she feels really good with him. She even says that if it were anyone else in his place, she doesn’t think she would still be there. Her story is horrifying and I don’t wanna give out every detail, but in October 2014 her and some friends went to a party where their drinks were drugged. She wakes up the next morning naked, knowing something terrible happened. She finds out that not only were her friends raped, but so was she. Another guy took advantage to her being passed out on the couch and lifted her dress while taking pictures. Only one guy got expelled. She went almost an entire year before opening up to her mother, but once she did, her mother saved her. She does tell him that the assault shaped her, but only by making her stronger. Colton listens and lets her know that she is safe with him, which she acknowledges. Here’s the thing I think we sidestep a lot. Even when a victim of sexual assault has worked through the emotional pain and find themselves in a good place, they are forced to relive it every time they enter into a relationship with someone, because they have to tell their story. It wouldn’t be fair to anyone to go into an intimate situation not knowing what could cause a trigger. He does tell her that he’s been in a relationship with someone who was sexually abused and how hard it was to watch the pain she would go through. And this was the first conversation where his virginity gets brought up and it’s not in a joking manner and it was brought up by him. After that, of course she gets the rose.

The standout about this party is it’s not in a house, it’s in a hotel, which means he gets to bring the ladies back to his room and first up is Hannah G. She says she’s feeling good about their relationship and she makes a commitment to him that she is gonna work on opening up more. When the making out starts, we’re quickly reminded that they ain’t on no couch, they are in his bed, which means they can move around and straddle one another. Caelynn decides to put the bullshit to bed and have a talk with Hannah B., so she pulls her aside. In the end, apologies were given and accepted. They have both decided to put the past in the past and they even hug it out in the end. Courtney may say that she feels better and she’s more optimistic, but her face says doom and her underlying tone says jealously. Onyeka puts a bug into Demi’s ear that Courtney may very well let Colton in on what went down between the two of them, so she takes the chance first by telling Colton that Courtney is the cancer of the house and she is not deserving of his heart. Right in the middle of the makeout sesh, Courtney enters the room. This is a fucking mess and that’s putting it nicely. It’s almost like they have ran to daddy to tattle and once again I will say, cut em’ both loose. But Colton does tell Courtney, after she tattled on Demi, what Demi said about her and of course her reaction is to tell him that Demi doesn’t belong. Like I said, a fucking mess. She goes on to to tell him that Demi has said that this is a game and she is there to play. Colton is torn and if there is any doubt, I don’t understand why he just doesn’t get someone in there that he really trusts and ask them to lay it out. Things are clear when he just offers Courtney a hug and not a kiss. And if he really wanted to get the scoop, he should’ve just stood outside the hotel room door and listened to it go down between the two of them. In the end, they both showed their age. . .23, Courtney just did it a lot more calmly.

We already know that there’s gonna be tension and of course Courtney and Demi are standing right next to each other. I’m not Demi’s biggest fan, but even I can recognize that she made some good points when giving advice to Courtney. But she just helps Courtney’s claim about her maturity level when she decides to put her rose between her teeth and flaunt it, knowing Courtney is right next to her. . .that is her age showing. We started the episode with 15, we will be ending it with 13. Time is really flying by.

My train is still parked in Cassie’s station, but after his date with Caelynn, I do think they are much closer than they were and they were pretty close prior. I also believe that there may be a part of him that knows there will be no sexual pressure if she were to make it to the Fantasy Suites and I’m thinking that may have their relationship flowing a bit more fluid.

Let’s talk about Demi. I’m not a fan, I do agree that she is entertaining and she does give me some good quotes, I just think that she is trying to channel Corrine and SHE cannot be replicated. I do agree with Courtney when she talked about her maturity level, Demi is definitely not high on that scale. I think some 23 year olds are mature for their age, she isn’t one of them. However, I do believe that she was probably coddled most of her life, considering her mom was in prison, which could not have been easy on her. But she was the one telling anyone who would listen that she wasn’t there for the girls, she was there for Colton. If that’s true, then her sole reason for calling Courtney a cancer, was to get rid of her, once again showing her age.

I wasn’t really sad to see Courtney go, I don’t think she had a connection with Colton that screamed “RELATIONSHIP!”, but I also think her personality isn’t the type that’s gonna flourish on this kind of show. She wasn’t willing to seek Colton out and unless you have a particular mystery about you that keeps The Bachelor curious, that type of approach is never gonna work. Also, she didn’t use what she had at her disposal. . .she’s has her own catering company and even an instagram devoted just to her cooking. . .GIRL, WHY DIDN’T YOU COOK FOR HIM?! Girls tend to bring out all the stops during cocktail parties, she should’ve used her skills. It may not have worked, but if cooking is something she’s passionate about, it would’ve come through.

At this point in the season, if you have yet to have at least a couple of make-out sessions with Colton, you’re probably in jeopardy of leaving. With the exception of Heather. I don’t think Tracy or Courtney had even kissed Colton at this point and neither were doing a lot of work into making sure that their relationships was moving in a direction to get them there and in the end, they went home. . .single.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Okay, surely no one really thought that the Donald’s latest ode to women everywhere was just gonna pass by with me keeping the ole’ trap shut. . .oh no, I have plenty to say about the Orange Leathered One, I just had to let his comments marinate in my cloud before I could break my thoughts down into words. But now that I have been able to do that, let’s take this on. So, without really a great warning to issue, let’s dive right into the locker room, shall we?

(Trump)“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,”. . .“Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

(Bush)“Your girl’s hot as s—, in the purple,”

(Trump)“Whoa!”. . .“Whoa!”

(Trump)“I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,”. . .“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

(Trump)“And when you’re a star, they let you do it,”. . .“You can do anything.”

(?Bush)“Whatever you want,”

(Trump)“Grab them by the pussy,”. . .“You can do anything.”

LOCKER ROOM TALK:

I should first say that I haven’t been in a men’s locker room in some time, so I’m not sure if this is really a thing men hang out and discuss, but regardless, let’s travel down the Locker Room Road for a bit. If I, as a woman, decide to give that excuse any sort of merit, I would also have to give the following argument. If men actually hang out in locker rooms and conversations are taking place like the one above (and if that’s the case, you may need to re-evaluate your life), shouldn’t that have stopped back when he was like, 20? He made these comments at the age of 59. Or stopped at the very least, once he was married. . .and had a pussy of his very own, or at the absolute latest, when his wife gave birth to a daughter? Doesn’t that life event usually trigger something in a man? Something that makes even the most obscene womanizer re-evaluate the way he has treated women up to that point, playing back anytime he felt he may have shown disrespect, knowing that he would never want someone to treat his own flesh and blood with the same attitude that he has treated women with. Because the way karma works is this. . .him standing around talking about “grabbing women by the pussy”, means some man, somewhere, is saying the same thing about his daughters.

THAT’S JUST HOW MEN TALK:

Are you FUCKING kidding me with this excuse. This is by far worse than the “locker room”. I’m shocked to my core with how many social media posts that have chalked it up with “that’s just how men talk”. Is it? Is it really? Your husband/boyfriend/brother/father speaks this way? If that excuse gets to be thrown around without any responsibility, then I get to say the following. Any woman who even gave that excuse consideration, much less used it. . .you’re membership to the Ya-Ya is now revoked. If this is actually how men talk, and you women think that it is a viable excuse, are you raising your sons to speak the same way? Are you allowing the father of your children to teach your son this kind of “talk”? You’re okay with your husband hanging with his boys while talking about “grabbing pussies”, one that doesn’t belong to you? Because if your son or husband spoke the way Trump did and you just wave it off as “just how men talk”, then you are creating a very dangerous culture for any future woman that may attach herself to your son. When your daughter comes home and cries to you about a boy at school bragging to his friends about how he is going to “grab her by the pussy”, are you going to tell her to shake it off, because that’s “just how men talk honey”? Better yet, let’s pretend that your daughter has already heard you excuse Trump and the sexual assault he brags about, do you really think that if someone speaks about your daughter in a non-consensual way that she is going to come to you for help?

A BXTCHES REAL THOUGHTS:

The words that Trump spoke do not offend me. The word pussy doesn’t cause me to blink an eye, hell, the “c” word barely sends shudders through me. Talking about sex doesn’t make me cringe, I can dirty talk with the best of motherfuckers, just mosey on over to BXTCHES Be Reading and you’ll see for yourself, probably more than you’re comfortable with. So no, it’s not the words that he used, it’s the assault value within the words. I should take the time to say this, who really fucking grabs pussies? What the fuck? No female wants her pussy grabbed. Is that why he has to force himself on women? Because he doesn’t actually know how to treat a pussy. Lesson #1: don’t grab them, it’s not a bag of chips or a bottle of water. . .it’s precious as fuck and deserves to be treated like the goddamn treasure she is.

“I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

“And when you’re a star, they let you do it,”. . .“You can do anything.”

“Grab them by the pussy,”. . .“You can do anything.”

This doesn’t require an expert in language, this is to the point, there is no need to read between the lines, Trump is saying what it is he does. This isn’t just talking (which is bad enough), this is bragging about sexually assaulting women. Just so we’re clear, he’s not bragging about the women that he has bedded (with consent), he’s not complimenting women, both of which he could’ve easily done, he is actually boasting about sexual assault and why not. . .he is a celebrity after all.

There’s a lot of talk about how these comments were made eleven years ago and by a private citizen and they shouldn’t be used in attacks against him now. No, he was not a private citizen, he was most certainly a public one, he did brag about being a celebrity, which by status alone, puts you in the eye of the public. But let’s break it down further. Let’s say a teacher, that’s a profession that impacts young minds, has influence within the community, has some sort of standard bearer when it comes to morals and values. . .let’s pretend that a male teacher is caught on tape, saying the exact words that spewed from Trump’s vile mouth. . .a male teacher who teaches your daughter. . .does he still have a job? Do you want your daughter staying after school to be tutored by him?

For those of you who suck from the Trump teet, would you have the same reaction if it were 2012 and audio surfaced of Obama bragging about how he was gonna “grab a white girl by her pussy”. . .are they just words then?. . .is it just guys hanging out in the locker room?. . .does he get to say “this is how guys talk”?

This kind of repugnant talk shouldn’t only offend those with daughters or wives, moms and sisters,  it’s the kind of revolting behavior that should disgust all of us. Aren’t we better than this? This man is the kind of leadership you want for this great country? Is this what every Trump supporter means when they applaud him for being so politically incorrect?

I think it’s now time to really get to the meat of the issue here. Sexual assault is a problem in this country, one that tends to exploit the victim rather than prosecute the assailant. A burden that we place on the shoulders of the victims. When John Kasich was asked in a town hall about sexual assault on college campuses, his advice to the young lady was to stay away from parties with a lot of alcohol. I sure he meant well in his answer, but we tell our daughters to travel in groups. . .don’t accept drinks from anyone. . .make your own drinks. . .don’t go with strangers alone. . .don’t wear provocative clothing. . .and when the unthinkable happens, the first questions asked to the victim are “what were you wearing?” OR “what were you doing?” OR “how much did you have to drink?”. . .here’s what we need to understand. . .it makes no difference if a young lady is at a party and makes the decision to strip every stitch of clothing from her body and climb up on someone’s dick and ride him like she is at the PBR, it’s not an invitation for anyone else to take a turn. That is what we need to be teaching our sons, instead of slut-shaming victims.

It’s this kind of behavioral acceptance and this kind of “she was asking for it” attitude that provokes a mother to write a judge a letter, begging for mercy on her son, who grabbed and placed his fingers in the genitals of an unconscious woman. These are the kinds of attitudes that encourages a judge to take mercy on that young man and sentence to him to six months (where he only served three) in jail, not prison, but jail, because he has a great future ahead of him, taking no consideration of the future that was robbed from that young lady, late one night, behind a dumpster, where some punk kid took something from her, that was never willingly given up. Maybe, just maybe, if that mother would’ve raised her son to actually respect women and to know that you only get the pussy when it’s offered to you, that woman’s life wouldn’t have been forever altered.

No Worries BXTCHES. . .They're Just Words | Musings with Merrie J | www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

And this meme alone, sums it all up. More of the “exploit the victim” attitude. Because women read novels such as Fifty Shades, then we must all be okay with someone grabbing our pussies, right? I have read this book, many times, the word “pussy” isn’t even in it. Not to mention, Christian and Ana are in a consensual, sexual relationship. There is no assault, there is no unwanted groping, but I should remind everyone that the book. . .is fiction. I know, disappointing, right?

In the time since the infamous Access Hollywood tape was released, several women have come forward and have accused Donald Trump of the very thing that he bragged about. While watching the news regarding these accusations, my husband, a staunch Clinton supporter, asked the following: “Why are these women just coming out now with this?” and before my jaw could hit the floor, Trump himself appears on the T.V. dismissing the claims because of how one of the women looked, I was then able to turn to him and say “that’s why”

I grew up watching The Cosby Show, so when all of the accusations started to surface about Bill Cosby drugging and sexually assaulting women years ago, I was devastated. Once the first claim ticked across the newsfeed, we were skeptical. Then woman after woman came forward, making the same claim. It then went from skepticism to that many women cannot be wrong. I think what we learned is. . .there is strength in numbers.

We wouldn’t vote for someone on The Voice if this type of audio was released and we heard the very same words coming from them, but people are willing to elect someone as leader of the world after hearing him say these things. There will be more accusations and for a party that bases itself smack in the middle of the Bible and claims to be the party of family values, where do you draw the line? This is so much more than words. This is so much more than our daughters and sisters and mothers and friends at stake, this type of behavior is threatening to the heartbeat of America. Right or wrong, the world is watching and I get it. . .it’s overwhelmingly mortifying to stand behind someone, debate on their behalf, just to have this fall in your lap. . .but are you forced to then defend it? Isn’t it okay to step away? The beautiful thing about our country is our diversity, we can have different ideologies, our principles don’t always have to line up on the same side of the aisle, but as Michelle Obama said “A candidate for President of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women”, so if you take the opinion of “they’re just words”, I beg you to ask women in your life if they have ever been groped, ever been touched, ever been spoken about with vulgar, foul language. . .ask them if “they’re just words”. Do we really want sexual assault to be a political issue. . .aren’t we better than that?

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: This book does feature rape. It’s not too graphic, but the rape is a focus in the book, so if this is something that you are sensitive about, please keep that in mind. You should know by now, that I will let you BXTCHES know if a book in a particular series can be read as a stand alone. Truthfully, Execution Style is one of them. Having said that, I will also tell you that this is a series that is definitely more enjoyable if you start from the beginning. Execution Style tells the story of Miller and Mercy, both of which were introduced in Bang Switch, but if you choose to read this one out of order, I do believe you’d be okay. Now that, that is out of the way, let’s get on with it.

Execution Style will be told through the POV of both Miller and Mercy.

You should remember Mercy if you read book #3 (Bang Switch), her and Memphis become friends, she is the one who runs Second Chances, the organization who helps acclimate those returning from the military. Well unfortunately for Mercy, she makes the decision to break up with her boyfriend Mitch and in doing so, she informs him that her sexual desires are a bit on the kinkier side. Well, Mitch does not take it well and not only beats Mercy in church, in front of everyone, but then proceeds to rape her for the world to see, because of course, this is being taped by the news. This is where the SWAT team enters. After a bullet is placed in Mitch, rendering him dead, Miller sweeps in and tends to Mercy. Hence, the beginning of their relationship.

Mercy is pretty well known and liked in Kilgore. Not only does she do good by running Second Chances, her dad is also the fire chief, so it’s a good thing that Mitch’s life came to a screeching halt, because surely he wouldn’t have lasted had the bullet not done it’s job. Miller is trying to do the right thing and help Mercy whenever possible, so. . .what was a cop helping out a victim, turns into a pretty solid friendship.

Things change when Mercy needs Miller to do her a favor. A favor that will change the course of their relationship for good. When Miller escorted Mercy to the hospital the night of the rape, the nurse asked him to try and convince Mercy to take the morning after pill. He was unsuccessful in his attempt, leaving a very sure possibility that Mercy could be pregnant with the rapist assholes kid. Know where I’m going with this yet? Mercy would like for Mitch to have sex with her. Her theory is that if Miller has sex with her (since it is still pretty close to the day that she was raped), then if she happens to be pregnant, than there are two possibilities as to who the dad could be and since Miller and Mitch share some of the same physical traits, it would put Mercy’s mind at ease a bit. Terminating the pregnancy was never an option, she just didn’t want to live with the idea that Mitch is certainly the father, if she happened to be pregnant.

If you are experiencing any blood issue like iron deficiency or any liver or kidney sicknesses, bring medication with alert. The doctor looks into the diagnosis and treatment of infertility viagra store in india in 1992 by the WHO. Obviously the relationship changes at this point. Which all in all, is really good for Mercy. She is having trouble reconciling the entire Mitch episode. Part of her feels dirty because she did have an orgasm while being raped, not to mention, she enjoyed the roughness of it, she’s just pissed that her consent was taken away from her and the fucker did beat her and everything was caught on camera. With help from her therapist and Miller, she is working on it. It doesn’t help living in a small town, she’s the girl who was raped on national T.V., so of course there are whispers and lots of finger pointing, which is really difficult for her. However, when you have a big, badass, ex-SEAL cop, that helps make it a bit more bearable. The hurdle facing Mercy now is Mitch’s mom, who is blaming Mercy for the death of her son. This whole book is like a CSI episode, I mean, I’ve never actually seen an episode of CSI, but it’s how I would imagine it being. There is rape and murder and suicide and some good ole’ “who done it?”.

So all of that should provide you with enough drama to last you well past the last page. Let’s talk about the folks surrounding Miller and Mercy. I have to hand it to Lani Lynn Vale, she is spectacular at ensemble writing. This is my first series by Lani Lynn Vale that I have read, I just finished Whiskey Neat, which is the first book in the Uncertain Saints MC Series AND I loved it and each book just entices the reader to fall deeper in love with the series as a whole. Now, in Execution Style, unfortunately we don’t get too much of a glimpse into the lives of the couples from the previous books. But, that’s okay, because Miller’s brother Foster is really involved in this book and since book #5 is his, that works out well. So, while I may tell you that it’s okay to go ahead and read this book as a stand-alone (and it is), it’s such a good series, I’m not sure why you’ll want to do yourself that disservice, but to each his own.

Due to the sexual situation here, Mercy’s reaction to becoming intimate could’ve been tense and uncomfortable, but it’s not. And, the way that Miller handles the whole issue was spot on. One of Mercy’s issues (that’s not the right word, but it’ll work) is her desire to be taken roughly in the bedroom. Her sexual relationship with Mitch was very boring and while the rape was very traumatic, it was rape for crying out loud, she certainly had a positive reaction to the “roughness” of the sex. Which is how she wants Miller to take her (rough). Even though the sex had to be worked around a traumatic event, it worked well. Even with Miller being delicate with Mercy, you aren’t denied his bedroom abilities and the way he is able to curl some toes and drop the panties.

Even with the seriousness of the rape, Execution Style still brings the same humor that I loved about the previous books. Mercy is absolutely adorable. She epitomizes the definition of survivor and handles herself post-incident as you would expect a survivor to. I already knew I loved Miller. He is the one who fucked his way through Memphis’ wall in book #3. With that introduction, how could you not love him, right? And he just really ups the “book boyfriend” factor with just the way he not only handles the rape, but really how he falls in love with Mercy, loved it!

This series is really getting good. Each book is just sucks you in more and more. Cover to cover, it’s almost impossible to put down. Next, I’ll be diving right into Foster’s story and I can already tell that it’s gonna be a good one. Bxtches Be Reading5 Star Read for Bxtches Be ReadingFavorite Quotes TagExecution Style (Code 11-KPD SWAT Series, Book #4) by Lani Lynn Vale | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Beck (Corps Security Series Book #3) by Harper Sloan

Beck (Corps Security)Beck (Corps Security)Synopsis TagBeck (Corps Security)Bxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Beck (Corps Security, Book #3)

BXTCHES Gotta WarnYou probably have already figured out that each of these stories will get their HEA and there is really no cliffhanger, blah, blah, blah. But once again, I highly recommend that you read the books in their respective orders. If you chose to go out of order then be warned that things could get confusing because previous events are referenced in each book.

If you thought the books before were serious and emotionally draining, then prepare yourself to maybe need therapy and a really good drink after this one. Let’s jump on in.

This book follows Dee and Beck. Like the previous books in this series it is told through both of their POV’s. Obviously you know the nature of Dee and Beck’s relationship and like me, you probably thought that they were playing this back and forth game and it was really just a relationship to scratch an itch. And, Dee probably irritated you a little because all arrows pointed to her not wanting the relationship with Beck. If you were one of many that got irritated with Dee, then EVERYTHING is about to be explained and your theory is going to be turned upside down.

This review is going to be difficult to write because there is so much that I can’t say if fear of giving away the book, some stuff I can mention, because it was touched in the other books. So, I will reveal what I can, without ruining anything.

The book starts with a glimpse of Dee’s childhood, which to say was abusive would be an understatement. So, the beginning of her life left a footprint that looks as if it will be embedded for life. Let’s add in the fact that she was somewhat of a witness to Izzy’s marriage with Brandon while harboring the guilt because she set them up, footprint is digging in deeper. Now, don’t forget that Brandon attacked her in her home, well, it’s gonna take an act of God to remove the idea of all that a man is or will become. I would say an act of God, but really just an act of Beck.

The beginning of the book will focus on Dee and Beck first getting together, so the timeline is taking place during Izzy and Axel’s story as well as Greg and Melissa’s. So when we get into the meat of the story, it’s about two years after the end of Axel and right around the end of Greg, give or take some months. I can go ahead and tell you that while everyone knows Dee as the life of the party, she has been faking that personality, in part so she doesn’t have to face all that is destroying her, but also because she doesn’t want to burden anyone. Beck sees right through it and is determined to break through. It’s hard for him, because he continues to get shit from his boys, who keep telling him to leave her alone, why want something that doesn’t want back, etc. Well, they just don’t know.

What is ovulation? Ovulation is a process that happens once in every menstrual cycle when an egg moves from the ovaries into the Fallopian tubes and prevent the egg from reaching the uterus. viagra tablets in india If you remember in Cage, Dee was suspicious about activity in her North Carolina office. What happens because of these activities is going to change the Security Corps family forever. Like I said, get ready. This book got to be a little heavy for me to the point that I had to stop in certain places and rest. I will tell you beware reading this in public. Again, there are so many things that I can’t say because it will truly ruin this book for you, you’re just gonna have to trust a BXTCH.

Let’s talk about some good stuff: SEX. There’s a reason Beck calls Dee “wildcat”. Sex between Dee and Beck caused LOTS of destruction, literally. I’m surprised that he didn’t need to replace the entire inside of his home, it was like they were having an out of body experience. But, just like the others, the sex is on fire and this book needs those scorching moments to lighten up all of the heavy stuff.

Beck is close to being one of my favorites, in fact, I will say that he was giving Greg a run for his money, but then I went and read Uncaged (book #4) and my heart grew even bigger for Greg. No worries, Beck is still close behind.

I know that the reviews I have read for this book, some readers are irritated with Dee. I get being irritated prior to reading this book, I just don’t know how you can be after you’re able to understand everything that she has gone through. If anything I was more frustrated with Greg and Izzy for not noticing a friend in need, especially given everything they have been through.

This book was very unexpected. I have definitely loved the series up to this book, I was just not expecting everything this book gave, in fact, I can’t really say that I was willing to take it. There are moments that are going to gut you (have tissue ready), moments that will make you proud of Dee, moments that will make you want to pull you hair out and chunk your e-reader across the room, moments that may make you need a cold shower and a stiff drink, but in the end it will be a moment of love and triumph. I’m not sure why Harper Sloan saved all of this for one book, but good move by her, because if you’re not singing her praises after you read this, you may want to make sure you got the right book. This may very well be a series that gets mourned for when it ends.

Driven (Driven Series, Book #1) by K. Bromberg

Driven (Driven Series)Driven (Driven Series)Synopsis TagDriven (Driven Series)Bxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Driven (Driven Series, Book #1) by K. Bromberg

Let me start this review with complete honesty. I purchased this book in May 2013. I did not finish it until August 2014. No, I’m not a slow reader. It’s just once I started this book, I couldn’t get jazzed for it. It was strange, I was enjoying it, but when I put it down, it didn’t really call for me to pick it back up. Now that I have completed it, I know that the issue must have been with me and not the book. Because once I finished it, I dove right into book #2.

I need to write this review and not give a lot away, which will be difficult, especially since I have already finished the series. Driven is so much more than just hot, sinful sex (don’t worry, it’s in there & it’s soooo great), but this book is so full of depth. You name the emotion, it’s in this book. This is one of those books that you have to give 100% attention to and furthermore, it earns that attention. The heartache that both Colton and Rylee have experienced in their young lives is more than just about anyone should be able to handle and still come out standing. Now, you won’t get too into Colton’s past, but you will definitely know he has one and it wasn’t pretty. This book will, however, dive into Rylee’s.

Colton: Race car drive extraordinaire. Sexy, bad boy. Very arrogant and reckless. Just the kind of man that any red blooded woman would jump at the chance to “drive”. In typical, bad boy book fashion, Colton doesn’t do relationships, he opts for the “mutual agreement”, usually without argument from his female companion, and he has a type: blonde, beautiful, bombshells. He also doesn’t get told no often, well really, not at all. Once he sees something he wants, his determination will ensure he gets it. He was adopted as a young boy by Hollywood royalty and he has NO relationship with his biological mother, nor is he interested in one. The truth about his past will be revealed, just not in this book. Colton is going to frustrate the f*ck out of you. You will fall in love with him, while also wanting Rylee to just walk away from him and save her heart. As the reader, it will be obvious that he has feelings for Rylee that goes beyond his ability to communicate to her, which while necessary for the plot, is frustrating. But, that’s what makes this book addictive.

Rylee: The story is told through her POV. Very beautiful. Has had a life altering tragedy happen to her, that she feels has affected her future course. She literally meets Colton by falling into his arms. After they lose themselves in the moment by kissing the sh*t out of one another, she jolts herself back to reality and attempts to not be affected by his charms. Rylee works for a group home that fosters (what she does is so much more than that word allows) young boys, who have arrived at the home due to various circumstances in their life. This will be one area where you fall in love with Colton. He has such a soft spot for these boys, seeing himself in them, that it is very touching to read. While Rylee tries to convince herself she is immune to the “Colton Charm”, he slowly starts to break down that immunity. Colton doesn’t do relationships, Rylee doesn’t do “mutual agreements”.
There is a very serious disease for men that best price for tadalafil mark a question for men’s manliness. Everyone is walking on eggshells and everything is so easily accessible be generic 10mg cialis check out over here it information or products. These must be consumed in proportionate quantities by the patient & thus, it leads for faster results of recovery on part of patient who must be supplied with cialis best prices ‘s that are cheap and you can easily get it through online, and recommended by FDI to grab the perfect way of the branded cialis. When a male is going through this health condition, they made sure that sildenafil online canada when this condition can be affected by other factors.
The supporting cast for this book is written very well. Rylee’s best friend, Haddie, gives compassion when it is warranted, but also tough love when she knows that Rylee needs it. Beckett, Colton’s best friend, is definitely immune to the “Colton Charm”. He will not and does not take sh*t from Colton. He is not his “yes” man, but his friend. The boys that live in the group home, really round out the complexity of this book. The compassion that you will have for them, will be very well earned. Bromberg did a really good job not just focusing on the two main characters in the book, or trilogy for that matter. She put the effort into those who surround Colton and Rylee, and it developed their character even more.

This first book will drive you alright. It is full of angst, complication and desire. You will find yourself rooting for Colton and Rylee to figure the complexity of their attraction out. The end of this book will leave you struggling and heartbroken, so I HIGHLY recommend you already have Fueled (book #2) purchased and ready to go. This is one of those books/trilogies that you want to see made into a movie, but ONLY if it is EXACTLY like the book. I hope you take a chance on this book and furthermore, I hope you really enjoy it. I know that once I finally gave it the opportunity it deserved, it was so worth it.

Normal (Something More Series, Book #1) by Danielle Pearl

BXTCHES Gotta Warn:It’s important to know that THIS BOOK CONTAINS VIOLENCE. If this sort of thing is an issue for you, please know that going in. Also, there is a pretty major cliffhanger, consider that when considering this read. Now, here we go.

I am sad to think that I may have never discovered this book, if it didn’t come across my Facebook feed. Well, that’s a little over dramatic, I would have eventually came across it, but who knows when?

This book is told through the POV of Aurora (“Rory”). The story begins with Rory’s move to New York with her mother after her mother and father divorce. It focuses on her need to “blend in” and not be seen. That’s easier said than done, once she has a panic attack outside of her calculus class and it is witnessed by no other than Sam (not only extremely attractive, but very popular as well). She catches his attention, he catches hers, and eventually a friendship forms.

The story flashes back to her “old” life in Florida, the one she has escaped. It is then that her past is slowly unfolded. From her life long friendship with Cam, to her dating the star quarterback. It touches on her lack of relationship with her father to building new friendships with girls (she has lived her life as a tomboy and mostly developed friendships with boys, namely, Cam). The flashbacks occur throughout the book, so it takes a while for the book to piece the puzzle that is her past trauma together. Although, it shouldn’t take you as long to figure it out as it takes for the book to unfold it.

You get to witness Rory grow a lot through her friendship with Sam. He helps her work through her triggers and he begins to be someone she can lean on. As the reader, it is quite obvious that Rory and Sam are attracted to one another, but for Rory and her past, it is very difficult for her to believe that someone would want her, even the broken parts.
Today, doctors of chiropractic should earn a degree and get their licenses in order to get their titles. try this cialis 20mg tablets Drug has an effective levitra purchase treatment time of 4 – 6 hours and some patients and GPs report longer effective times up to 12 hours. This account was fabricated by the producers of discount cialis, which is Pfizer and let them know what happened. eDrugstore.MD is a leading U.S. online pharmacy with a click of a mouse. cialis produces best results when consumed an hour before sexual activity.
The flashbacks in this book are heartbreaking. It is very sad having to “witness” the events that take place with Rory, and read how helpless she truly is. She continues to see herself as someone who is broken and f*cked up, but as the reader, you can only see her as a true survivor.

It’s hard to review this book and not give too much away, but I will say this. This read truly captivated me from start to finish. The story moved at the right pace to allow the events to unfold as necessary. As I said earlier, this book contains a cliffhanger, but the story of Rory and Sam will continue in Okay. If you have the chance, I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for their story to continue, and I hope that it contains some chapters with Sam’s POV.

***UPDATE: If you haven’t figured it out by now, Sam’s POV has been released and you can check it out in ReCap***
