Fighting to breathe (Shooting Stars Series, Book #1)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I’m gonna make this warning short and sweet. This book is going to feature Austin Wolf as the lead here and you will remember him if you have read Until Lilly (which surely you have), he was the guy Lilly was sort of dating while she was living with her parents in Alaska. But that is the ONLY connection that this book has to the Until Series. In fact, it is only brought up once and her name is not even mentioned.

Fighting to breathe will be told through the POV’s of both Austin and Lea. However, it is mainly through Lea’s POV that we will get this story.

Fighting to breathe starts out 15 years prior. Austin and Lea are high school sweethearts and have their future planned out. After graduation it’s off to Vegas to get married, then time to grow old together. Sometimes life veers you way off the path you have laid out for yourself and that is certainly what happened to Lea. Her father is a fisherman and weeks before Lea is set to graduate, the unforgiving sea takes his life. This alters Lea’s life and heart forever. Her planned future includes a life with a fisherman and she knows her heart cannot take living in Alaska where she will forever be haunted by her dead father, but she also knows she won’t survive if her one true love suffers the same fate as her father. So, with the support of her mom, she leaves, knowing she is leaving behind a piece, if not all of her heart.

While life may veer you off path, it has a way of getting you back on track and that’s just what happens to Lea 15 years later. Living in Montana and suffering through a failed marriage, her mother needs her back in Alaska. Cancer has struck and her mother needs Lea to help care for her. Living in a small town, she knows she is surely going to run into Austin, though it certainly doesn’t keep her from trying to avoid him.

Fighting to breathe will force you to ponder the possibility of. . .if it’s meant to be, will it be? Even after being apart for 15 years, can love pick up where love left off, even when a secret is revealed, a secret that kept them apart, does love conquer all? I do believe that you will have your answer by the time the last page is turned.
Misuse of Medication uk cialis sales deeprootsmag.org Some of the most embarrassing and frustrating conditions that a man can face and it has ruined many relationships. In today’s modern world, technology http://deeprootsmag.org/2014/08/24/nowhere-making-joyful-memorable-noise/ 5mg cialis has made almost all foods that are consumed very refined and processed. A wide range cialis in the usa of medication is available to help in effective treatment.
The supporting cast in Fighting to breathe, was not only wonderfully written, but wonderfully necessary. Not because Lea and Austin are lacking in any sort of qualities, the exact opposite is true, in fact. This is the sort of storyline that needs the relationships that the leading characters have with their ensemble. Before fate bring Lea and Austin back to one another, their relationships with the surrounding story are vital. I actually think that the story Aurora Rose Reynolds created between Lea and her mother (Josie) is just as important to Fighting to breathe as the one she created for Austin and Lea. I will say that the Austin that is created for this book is far from the Austin I had in my mind while enjoying Until Lilly, not in a bad way AT ALL. He totally captivated me, I think I’m becoming quite an imagined slut because my “book boyfriend” list keeps growing and growing. Oh well, this BXTCH will own it. The only thing I missed, but not enough to derail my love for this book, is a little angst involving Austin’s past. There is a girl he is seeing (by which I mean fucking) and this girl believes that her and Austin are a couple, so much so, she is ready to move to him. I sometimes love that sort of drama and kind of wish she would’ve caused a little more trouble for Austin and Lea. But saying that makes me a bit of a real bitch, but a BXTCH wants what she wants.

The sexual chemistry and subsequent sexual tension between Austin and Lea was pouring off of the pages. Their history was so well developed, even if it was only for several pages, that you can feel that their bodies belong to one another. The sex between them was certainly rooted in love, but came to be passionately animalistic at times, and let’s face facts BXTCHES, sometimes that’s the best kind of fucking. Thank you Aurora Rose Reynolds for dirtying it up a bit.

At times, Fighting to breathe is going to hit you right in the feels because it is tragic. But the beauty of this story is coming out on the other side and knowing that the tragedy may have splintered your heart, but having someone there to put it back together is what makes life worth living.

A beautifully told story by an author who always captures me from the first page, Fighting to breathe may have you catching your breath, but it is going to leave you with a smile on your soul and your imagination longing for more. Bxtches Be ReadingBook Review.4Favorite Quotes TagFighting to breathe (Shooting Stars Series, Book #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Most of the time I try to suggest that a series be read in the order written. But, I feel it is my duty to let you know if books in a series can be read as stand-alones (in my opinion anyway). The first two books in this series (Center Mass and Double Tap) kind of go hand in hand because they sort of share the same storyline. But, Bang Switch can certainly be read as a stand alone. Now it will have the characters from the first two books, but not in a way where the reader will be confused. Having said that, let me say this. This is a wonderful series and if you are someone who enjoys immersing themselves in a good series, then you will enjoy it more by reading it in the order written.

Bang Switch will be told through the POV’s of Memphis and Downey.

Memphis Tennessee Conner. Love the name, love the woman. She is our female lead and she is fierce and she is independent. She’s twenty years old and is currently a college student. Bang Switch is going to kick off with the SWAT team being called out to a law firm where someone is being held at gunpoint. Memphis is a secretary at this law firm. When the gun is discharged, Memphis finds herself covered in a whole lot of Downey. She then finds herself without a job, which forces her finding a new place to live, and that happens to be next door to three very fine SWAT team members. Can you guess who one of those guys happens to be?

Due to some serious fucking (there really is no other way to say it) on the other side of her wall, Memphis is having a really tough time sleeping through the night and she’s about ready to bust some balls (literally). Of course, she believes that the fornication is a result of Downey, she finds out differently when Miller fucks his way right through her wall (again, literally). So, in essence the collapse of the wall gives us the beginnings of Memphis and Downey. That and the bonding over their dogs.

Downey is somewhat skeptical about taking on anything with Memphis because of their age difference. However, this skepticism doesn’t last long and well, I think we all know where this is going to lead. I will tell you that Memphis comes from Alphaness. Her father is not only a cop, but he is also part of the Dixie Wardens MC. In fact, the reason that Memphis even finds herself in Kilgore, is because of the over protectiveness of her dad. So, hooking up with a cop wasn’t really at the top of her to do list, of course that all changes the first time she rubs her lady business all up on his very large. . .very hard. . .business. The question isn’t about how great the sex is, because let’s face it, the sheets are going to be burning up. The question is, is it only going to be about the sex?

With every book in the KPD SWAT series, there is a secondary story that surrounds the lead characters and Bang Switch is no different. I’m not going to suck the fun out of the read by telling you what the story is, but I can tell you that is was certainly engaging and Lani Lynn Vale was brilliant by involving almost every character that she presented in Bang Switch.
You buy levitra can get rid of male disorder with food remedies. Various malignancy social orders and wellbeing bunches educate men to know with respect to testicular growth and see a specost of sildenafil t immediately in the event that they discover a new version of traditional ED medicine i.e. kamagra oral jelly. It is not difficult to solve this error, but the causes could discount levitra rx be different for different computers and USB devices. This problem is very much common these days canada viagra cialis and it is steadily growing in reputation.
I so love the supporting cast in this series. First, they’re just very well written and the chemistry between the guys of the SWAT team highlights this. Second, each book seems to start the beginning of the next book, so as the reader, you feel like you already have somewhat of a relationship with the character(s) that will be the feature in the next book. The previous books aren’t left out either. They may not be prominent, but they are there. Kudos to Ms. Vale for writing supporting characters that contribute almost as much to the story as the leads do.

I’m not one that believes sex should be prominent in every book or that a book is just not great unless it’s filled with romp after romp. However, I do think that if an author is going to make sex a pretty important focus in a book, then it should be done right, because if that aspect of the book is poorly written, I do think that it can ruin a book. No worries, the sex in Bang Switch is drunk with lust, passion, and just good ole’ fuck me already, know what I mean? Downey is a man who knows exactly what he wants and that something is between the legs of Memphis. Toes will curl, panties will dampen, sheets will be set ablaze. You may even find yourself hoping for a Downey of your very own.

Right now, today, October 19, 2015, Bang Switch is my favorite of the series, so far (and I have already read book #4). It’s funny, it’s intense, it’s sexy, it’s page turning and even though it’s 300+ pages, it’s a quick read. But my favorite could change, because this series seems to get better and better. I can’t wait to dive into the story of these terrifically written characters and I can’t wait to read the quipiness that she offers prior to every chapter. After reading the first book, I decided I would read the entire series, but really more for closure than anything else. Lani Lynn Vale has made me eat my words. I anticipate the next book, can’t wait to get to the next story. Well done.

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I’m usually the one who encourages a reader to read a series in the order in which it was written. However, this just so happens to be a series where each book really can stand on their own, EXCEPT Center Mass (book #1) and Double Tap (book #2-this book). There is a storyline that starts in Center Mass and continues in this book, so it’s kinda important to read book #1 before you dive into book #2.

Double Tap will be told through the POV of both Nico and Georgia.

Nico and Georgia have known each other since they were kids, well Georgia was 13 and Nico was 17. Even at that young age, they both knew they were destined to be with one another. Of course, Nico also knew he had to bide his time and wait for Georgia to grow up. The unfortunate side to waiting was. . .life. One minute it seems that everything is falling into place and the next everything is literally ripped right away from you. Just when Nico made his move to let Georgia know that he was interested in her, her world as she knew it would be forever changed when her dad decided to tie up each of his children and his wife and kill them. Fortunately, Georgia survived along with 4 of her brothers. Unfortunately, her mom, dad, and 2 youngest siblings were killed and the next day Georgia and her brothers were gone.

Now it’s eight years later and Georgia is back in Kilgore and it’s not going to take too long for Nico to show up and almost immediately stake his claim.

There are some things that you need to remember from Center Mass that carries into this book. Really, just the Russian mob storyline, but there are spoilers ahead, so be warned. Let me back up a bit. Georgia has returned to Kilgore, accepting a job as a social worker and one of her cases involves baby Angel. That may mean absolutely nothing to you right now, but if you remember from the first book where Luke and Reese really couldn’t have any communication but sort of met up at a Taco Bell?? And remember when the crazy pregnant lady shot Luke, then Nico had to shoot the crazy pregnant lady? Well, the lady died, the baby survived and the baby happens to be no other than, baby Angel. Surely, you can now see where the two (stories) shall twine.

Here’s the thing about Double Tap. There is a lot of stuff going down and it does involve the Russian storyline and it happens to have put Nico smack dab in the middle of it. While some of the outcome is predictable, I gotta say, some of it I didn’t see coming. And since I’m not one to spoil, I can’t offer you much more. But I can tell you to just keep turning the page, because I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
The FDA says that they can’t guarantee the “quality” of the drugs from Canada, that these drugs might be dangerous, that they might have been poorly manufactured or improperly formulated, or manufactured in facilities in Southeast Asia. tadalafil side effects Autism Causes The characteristic triad of symptoms is presumed cheapest cialis soft to be the result of mental (or psychogenic) causes, and this presumption has lasted ages. After the omission of patent, the first Indian company, Ajanta Pharma produces Kamagra, the levitra uk is the second largely selling ED medicine in order to restart love in your marriage life can become unexciting along with your sex life.
The supporting cast in Double Tap is fantastic. The series does surround the SWAT team of KPD, so slowly through each book, it’s almost as if a foundation is being poured. The only thing I was wanting more of from this particular book, was Georgia’s brothers. Their chemistry was written well, so you knew that their bond was super strong, even with Darby, who was (for lack of a better word) an asshole. And since Georgia’s past was so traumatic, I would’ve liked to have had more from that part of Georgia’s life. However, my want doesn’t hold the story back at all, it’s really just a preference. The rest of the secondary characters do exactly what needs to be done by pulling the whole story together. Georgia and Nico’s story is a pretty intense one, so it was nice to have some sort of balance in the book and for me, that’s was what the rest of the characters brought.

I’m about to drop your jaw. . .BOTH Nico and Georgia are virgins. I know, shocking. When the fact that Nico is a virgin gets dropped (pretty early on), I really didn’t think that Ms. Vale was going to be able to believably carry out that idea. Well, she proved me wrong. It was still a bit strange, considering the Alphaness of Nico. I mean this is a man who was a SEAL, he’s now a cop, he’s part of the SWAT team, so it was something I had to wrap my head around, mainly because I was probably being a bit sexist and was more like “a man can’t be a virgin!”, but in the end it worked. They were just two people who knew very young they were each other’s person and decided and decided to save that part of themselves for the other. Having said that, virgins or not, the sex was hot. Nico and Georgia were not only meant to be together in mind, but hello, body as well.

This is just a really, really good book. A great story with characters that were so easy to love. This is a pretty lengthy series and while I enjoyed Center Mass, I think I may have enjoyed Double Tap even more, which leads me to think that the further we get into the series, the better it will become.

Confessions of a Queen B* (The Queen B* Series, Book #1) by Crista McHugh

Every now and then I’ll come across a book just by chance and since it sounds promising enough, I’ll download a sample and low and behold, it turns out to be a really good read. Well BXTCHES, this is one of those books. It is a YA book, so if that’s not really your speed, then you should pass.

This book will tell the story of Queen B, Alexis Wyndham and will be told through her POV.

Alexis Wyndham is a senior at Eastline High School and she takes her role as the Queen B pretty serious. Alexis recognizes that there are two types of Queen B’s in high school and she is most certainly the second type, the Queen Bitch. She runs a blog, The Eastline Spy, that exposes the wrong doings at her high school and takes great pride in what she has accomplished. But things begin to change when she is paired up with Brett Pederson for a class project.

Brett Pederson is the star quarterback at Eastline and what seems to be the love interest of the other Queen B, Summer. Well, she’s not only the other Queen B, but the one that Alexis despises the most. The thing is, they were BFF’s up until the 8th grade, when Summer stabbed Alexis in the back.  When partnering up in Health class for “the baby project”, Brett gets paired up with Alexis. Well, it’s more like Brett switches so he can be paired with Alexis. Problem is, Alexis can’t figure out why he would want to be paired with her.

Interestingly enough, Alexis’ sister Taylor is pretty good friends with Summer and her latest crisis is going to require her to get Alexis involved. It seems that someone has strategically placed cameras in the girls’ locker room and is posting videos on the girls changing. How does this involve Taylor you ask? Well, with the videos, everyone will see that she uses enhancers to make her girls appear bigger than God intended. Enter, the Queen B. Cameras get found, videos get removed, all is well again in the life of the Eastline cheerleaders. That is until the peeping Tom goes at it again.

While Alexis likes to pretend that it is impossible to break through her façade, she’s beginning to think that Brett may be able to do so. She finds that she is affected by him more than she would like and funny how things go, you know that Brett is really interested in Alexis, evidenced by a hot and heavy make-out session.

When discussing cialis properien , you could mention its good effect on them. As mentioned earlier than lifestyle alteration may be needed, it is also important to address the psychogenic components that tadalafil 20mg http://appalachianmagazine.com/category/travel-appalachia/?filter_by=random_posts assist in the functioning of the brain. Potency Most often than not, the brand name version and online prescription viagra have the equivalent rate of potency, with difference only in the area of the auditory nerve. It works quickly in just 15 minutes to give you some other information regarding BVI appalachianmagazine.com viagra on line spa and massage. Take the stress of her feelings toward Brett, her issues with Summer, two BFF’s who think they know exactly what it is she should do where Brett is concerned and a mom who is very seldom around and a dad who thinks the answer to her Brett problems may be sexual and you’ve got yourself a pretty good , witty read.

As with any good YA book, the cast of support must be a really well written one to really add the necessary layers that the story requires. Confession of a Queen B does a good job with that. There is of course the token “anti” to the lead in Summer. The typical ditz with Taylor and the angsty best friends. Throw in some asshole jock and the pages will keep on turning.

While there is sexual conversation along with some tension in Confessions of a Queen B, there isn’t any between the sheets action. Alexis wears her V card proudly, however, my gut tells me that that status may be changing in the next book.

I thought that the chemistry between Alexis and Brett was great. My issues with Confessions of a Queen B are more with Alexis. The only traumatic incident that seems to have happened to her is the back stabbing doled out by Summer in the 8th grade. She doesn’t even seem to have any hangups with the divorce of her parents, she actually recognizes that they are better apart than together and while her dad may not live close, she engages often in conversations with him and seems to be closer to him than her mother. She is very witty and has some really clever “back atchas”, it’s just hard to understand where her angst comes from and why. Brett is pretty obvious (even before admission) about his feelings and appears to be very genuine, so her attitude towards him is a little off putting.

Confessions of a Queen B will leave you on a semi cliffhanger, not enough of one to make you want to cuss someone out. Some loose ends will be tied up, but some will be almost deliberately untied.

Devil’s Game (Reaper’s MC Series, Book #3) by Joanna Wylde

Devil's Game (Reaper's MC #3) Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comDevil's Game (Reaper's MC #3) Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comSynopsis TagDevil's Game (Reaper's MC #3) Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.comBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Devil’s Game is the third book in the Reaper’s Motorcycle Club series and just like any great MC series, the foundation begins to be poured in the first book and continues to build in subsequent books. Now, if you’re someone who likes to read out of order, heed the following warning. If you haven’t yet read Ruger and Sophie’s story in Reaper’s Legacy (book #2), then you need to do so BEFORE moving on to Em’s story. There is a storyline in that book that carries over into this book. I know a lot of times these books can be read as stand alones, this is not one of them. So, don’t bitch about it, just do it. Trust me, Ruger is hot and his story is pretty damn worth it.

Devil’s Game will be told through the POV’s of both Em and Hunter/Liam.

Let’s backtrack a bit. I’m sure if you finished book #2, then you are well aware of who Hunter/Liam is, but for the sake of refreshing your memory, we’re gonna flashback a bit. But for those rebels out there who have decided to go against the grain and read these books out of order, there are certainly some spoilers ahead. Remember in the beginning of book #2, when Ruger was moving Sophie out of Seattle, there was a guy across the hall that Noah was hiding from and if you recall, that guy was an ex Devil’s Jack. Also if you recall, Ruger and Horse let the Devil’s Jack MC come and clean up their own mess. Well, Hunter was one of the Jack’s that was sent. In an effort to not confuse you, Hunter is Liam, Liam is Hunter. So, from this point on, we shall call him Hunter, since that is his MC name and all.

Hunter has been assigned the job of collecting info on Emmy Lou Hayes. She is Picnic’s daughter and we have been getting to know her since way back in book #1. Hunter reaches out to Em (as Liam, of course) and they strike up a friendship. In fact, you may remember some of that from the second book. . .when Kimber and Sophie encouraged Em to meet up with Liam and hopefully turn in her V-card in the process. Now, Em has always thought that Painter was going to be her one. That all changes when she walks in on him taking on a club whore right on the bathroom sink. And that is the catalyst that speeds things up with Hunter. If you have read Reaper’s Legacy, then you know that it is Hunter and Skid who kidnap Sophie and Em. In that story, it was told from Sophie’s POV, so as the reader we had no idea what was happening on Em’s end, even though we knew something was happening based on the noise that was coming out of her room. In Devil’s Game, we get all the details that we need to put pieces together. From before the kidnapping when Hunter was wooing Em, to the actual kidnapping, to what happened in Em’s room during the kidnapping. Not only are you going to get it through Em’s perspective, but we also get Hunter’s as well.

While the main storyline in Devil’s Game is that of Hunter and Em, there is an underlying one as well, and that is Em getting out on her own. We get to meet Kit in this book. She is the younger sister of Em and the one who stands up to Picnic and really does as she pleases, making Em envious. So, after the kidnapping, Em decides that it’s time to get out of Coeur d’Alene once and for all and start the process of becoming her own person. Surely, you can see where this is headed.

We already know that Em saved Hunter and Skid from being killed by the Reaper’s. And while part of that reason was to save the truce between the two clubs, the other part was Em just not wanting her club killing Hunter, because kidnapper or not, she has feeling for him. And these feelings that they begin to feel for one another is not only going to be a huge uphill battle, but could come down to being a matter of life and death. And people on both ends aren’t afraid of speaking up and letting both Em and Hunter know how dangerous it will be if they decide to get involved with one another.
All the side effects causing to a person are temporary and do not last for a longer duration so that you can indulge in some productive sexual cheap viagra 100mg coital session. So start ordering now to get the bet effect of medicine it should be consumed in the presence of sexual arousal, it starts working within 15 – 20 minutes to deliver longer cheapest viagra no prescription robertrobb.com and stronger penile erection. The extensive research reports conducted by various sources revealed that millions of men have been suffering from moderate, mild canadian pharmacy cialis and severe erectile dysfunction. The postpartum process canada viagra buy is the period of time.
I’ve said once before that these books get better the further the series progresses and this book just proved that theory. Now, I loved Sophie and Ruger, but I LOOOVED Em and Hunter. For me, this story was more MC than the other two. It was certainly grittier and more criminal in nature, which really adds another layer of excitement. Also, the story flows really well. Even though a good chunk of the first half of the book is spent dealing with the kidnapping and we’ve already been told that part of the story, it didn’t feel like a re-tell at all. And when the book moves into the second half, it sucks you in and engrosses you very thoroughly, it almost dares you to try and put the book down, something that I don’t think you’ll be able to.

The supporting cast of characters are back in this book, however, I do wish we would’ve gotten more of them. We definitely get reacquainted with some of the guys from the Reaper’s and we also get introduced to some from the Jack’s. What we don’t get however, is a lot from the ladies, which I would’ve liked to have seen more from since they’re Em’s circle and she was going through some shit in this book, so she needed them. But, overall, I don’t think that any lack of character support derailed me from my love of this book.

This book is strung tight with sexual tension. We all know that Em is a card carrying member of the V-Club and that angle definitely adds to the overall strain that both Em and Hunter are experiencing. I’m not sure how you’ll feel after you read the scene in which Em gives it all up. When I first read the scene I think I may have been a little put off, because it’s not really how you expected it to pan out. But, then I got my head together and remembered that I am in fact reading a MC book and Hunter is pretty much all Alpha and so while it may not have been romantic, I wouldn’t remove “hot” from the list of adjectives one would use to describe it. Plus, Em is twenty-something, dying to rid herself of her innocence, so who am I to complain about how it went down. Bottom line, Hunter and Em have great sexual chemistry and it comes pouring off of the pages.

This is one of my favorite MC series.  There are so many books in this particular genre as of late and sometimes I feel like I’m reading a very poorly written script of SOA, but not this series. It is full of grit, crime, lots of Alpha hotness, great sex, camaraderie, and really everything one needs to use as an excuse to shoo away the kiddos and tell them “not now, mama’s at a good part”. I really don’t think you will be disappointed.

Chase (Resisting Love Series, Book #1) by Chantal Fernando and Dawn Martens

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Unfortunately this review isn’t going to be 100% glowing. I read the reviews before buying this book and they were somewhat mixed, but even after reading the negative reviews, I still went for it. I’m not upset about the purchase, I just wasn’t moved to excitement after reading this book. It’s probably just best if we get on with it.

This book is told through the POV of Layla, well it is with the exception of a couple of chapters. And I really don’t want to start off with a negative vibe, but I’m going to anyways. This was one of the first problems I had with the book. Almost 100% of the book is told through Layla, so when all of sudden Chase gets his say, it doesn’t flow well with the book.

The prologue is short and to the point. It is basically informing the reader that Chase first laid eyes on Layla when he was hanging out with her cousin Ryder and she was just 17 years old. Now it doesn’t appear that she noticed him, just him noticing her, however, Ryder makes sure to warn Chase off of Layla.

Fast forward several years and Layla finds herself getting ready to start college and needs to find a place to stay. She comes across an ad and after checking out the digs and really hitting it off with one of the roommates (in a platonic manner), she decides to go for it. The home is beautiful and she gets to share it with 3 guys. Kade and James are brothers and everyone is getting along great. Their chemistry if fantastic, they are able to joke around with one another, and there isn’t really any sexual tension between Layla and either brother. She’s been informed that the landlord, who also happens to live there, rarely stays the night so there should be any issues where that’s concerned. Little does the landlord know, his new roommate happens to be the very same girl he was warned against several years earlier.

Layla and her BFF Nikki haven’t seen each other as much as they would prefer, and decide that a girls night is just what the doctor ordered. And this just so happens to be where Chase lays eyes on her once again and after recognizing her, makes his move. He takes a passed out Layla back to his house umm. . .her house and since she has never seen the inside of his bedroom, she has no idea where she is when she wakes up the next morning. And this is what kicks off their relationship.

Chase falls fast and he falls hard, which is kind of unusual, especially given his womanizing ways. One could argue that he has been pining after her since the first time he saw her, which would make it not so fast, and honestly, for the reader, that’s the best avenue to take, it makes it easier to wrap your head around. Chase taking himself off of the menu, has upset a large amount of women. And these women have no problems stepping up in front of Chase and letting Layla know that she is just “his newest flavor” and she isn’t going to be warming his bed long. It’s pretty obvious that there is some sort of secrecy with Chase. We know that he is an architect, but considering the amount of women that know/approach Chase, it doesn’t take a lot of detective work to figure out there is something else going on.

Let’s talk about the good stuff first: The supporting characters. Overall, they were done well, so well in fact, it’s what I liked most about the book. James and Kade were written very well. They were funny, very protective of Layla, and super hot. The silver lining here, I think I will enjoy their books a bit more than this one. I actually thought Nikki was written well too, I just wish that there was more of her. So, the supporting characters really gave this book the shining light it needed.

Along with good, comes the bad and unfortunately it has to be addressed. As expected, this book is going to come with drama. My issue is all of the drama surrounds the relationship of Chase and Layla. And surprisingly it’s not really because of the secrecy, it’s more because of the ladies. For me, there was just too many times that a woman or women approached Layla regarding Chase. Not to mention, there were too many of them that were willing to jump in the bed of James and/or Kade since Chase was off the market. It just made it somewhat unbelievable. Not that I’m looking for any “based on a true story” type of material, but I need it to be better than what was offered. I also didn’t think that the dialogue flowed well. It almost felt a little forced, jagged. Oddly enough I thought that the scenes involving James and Kade flowed wonderfully and were very funny, so I can see the potential there.

I could envision the Alpha that Chase was supposed to be. I saw great glimpses of him at times. I noticed that a lot of readers had issues with his bossiness, I was actually fine with it. I think that most of his bossiness came from him falling so hard for Layla and having the inexperience of relationships more than it did with his Alpha”ness”. I would have really embraced his Alpha attitude if the sex scenes were better. With as much sex as Chase had pre-Layla, I expected more from his character. Because of the seriousness of the relationship, Chase feels that the sexual part should go slow, really slow. I’m okay with that, but in the waiting process, the author should’ve built up more sexual tension and there was none. The sex was almost skimmed over and in a book where there is supposed to be a dominant Alpha, I’m gonna need a little more bed play.

So, by the sounds of it, one would think that I have given up and will not be continuing this series. But, I know that this is a first attempt by the authors and a first attempt deserves a second chance. Anyways, I liked James and Kade, so they definitely deserve a good read. I may not be giving this particular book a rave review, but I will give it another shot.

Bleeding Love (Hope Town Series, Book #2)

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: Okay, I’m pretty sure you know what I’m going to say here. You know, the usual, “make sure you read the first book (Unexpected Fate) in this series before you take on this one, blah, blah, blah” and it’s true you should, but this time it’s not because Bleeding Love can’t really be read as a stand alone, because I think it can be. However, I think you should go in order for a couple of reasons: #1: This isn’t really the 2nd book of the series, it’s more like the 8th book of the series, because you really should start with the Corps Security Series first and only because it lays down the foundation for the Hope Town series (which features the offspring of the Corps Security hotties). #2: There are a lot of characters happening in these books, so much so that it would help to feature a family tree of sorts (I will try to find one and post at the end of review). #3: The most important reason, you will be doing your imagination a disservice by not reading these books, they are fantastic! So, it’s time for some Megan and Liam.

This book will be told through Megan and Liam’s POV. For a bit of a refresher, Liam Beckett is the son of Dee and Beck (book #3 in the Corps Security Series)

If you have read Unexpected Fate (book #1), then you already somewhat know Megan. She is the woman whose husband, Jack, was killed in action and who Cohen was reaching out to. So, this story will pick up at Dani and Cohen’s wedding reception, where Megan finds herself in the throws of passion with one very hot, Liam Beckett. Liam has actually had his eyes on Megan for a while, really ever since “the group” took her and her daughter, Molly, in. He just so happened to seize the opportunity presented to him at the wedding and took every advantage of it. Megan is having a really hard time coming to terms with the fact that her husband Jack, is never coming home. Now, there is certainly an underlying story here, one of which I’m not going to go into too much detail with, but I can let you in on a little.

Megan and Jack grew up living next door to one another and not in great circumstances. They were best friends, all throughout their childhood and going into teenage”hood”. Jack was going to find his way out of their dire situation through football. A scholarship was going to get him out of their small town, but when Megan finds herself pregnant, he does the right thing and steps up. They get married and he enlists to serve his country, never regretting his decision. Now, you can only imagine the type of guilt that Megan lives with, knowing that Jack gave up his dreams for her and Molly. Him dying has forced Megan to stop feeling and Liam is going to do whatever it takes to make her feel again.

Liam has always desired the kind of love he grew up watching displayed with his parents. He knew that when he came across that special one, he would just know. And he knows that he has found that in Megan,  unfortunately, Megan is going to be a little slow coming to that realization. He thought that maybe he somewhat convinced her when he gave her the best sex of both of their lives, but soon realized that he was going to have to put in a bit more work. Something scary is going to happen to Megan, and while very unfortunate, it’s almost the catalyst that forces Liam to really stake his claim.

I gotta say, you are going to love Liam Beckett here. He could quite be the epitome of perfection. He and Dani (Axel and Izzy’s daughter) are best friends and together create a “Feeling Alive” list. A check list of sorts that Liam uses to just make Megan feel again. Obviously she does come around and it is a beautiful thing to watch unfold.

Lower the risks of kidney stone- We all have heard that healthy sexual relationship is the basic need for running a relationship in successful online pharmacy sildenafil manner. We are going to get some of the Corps Security (new and old) in this book and it is wonderful to revisit them, but I think the star of the “cast of support” goes to Molly. She is the 5 year old daughter of Megan and really steals the scenes that she is in. What I love here is how welcome the crew was to Megan and Molly. Almost immediately, Dee and Beck transformed into grandparents and even before that, she was stealing the hearts of Axel, Izzy, and Nate. So, Harper Sloan did a great job developing another character that I can’t wait to see more from. The one surprise for me was Nate. I really enjoyed reading him. He was so funny and so caring and he is the offspring of Axel, so you know he is super hot. But I know that you are going to fall in love with the way he cares for Molly.

Okay, I know that I’ve mentioned it before, but Holy Hot Libido, Harper Sloan wrote some pretty potent sexual greatness in this book. First, the tension that she is able to build between Liam and Megan will have you reading just to get to the actual stuff. I prefer a dirty mouth on the Alpha’s that I read and she did not disappoint with Liam. In fact, I think I could’ve just read the dirty stuff that came out of his mouth without the sex and been satisfied. Just make sure no one is reading over your shoulder for this one.

Oh boy, this one is pretty emotional. In fact, I will warn you to be careful where you are at when reading certain scenes. There is one in particular that will most likely bring tears. I just so happened to be at volleyball for my daughter, WHICH IS IN A PUBLIC PLACE, when I read that scene and it wasn’t until I started to tear up that I realized what a bad idea that was.

I’m not sure how Harper Sloan does it and honestly I don’t really care as long as she keeps doing it. She makes it impossible to put down a book and if you would’ve told me that I could possibly love the next generation of Corps Security even more than the original, I would have said you were crazy. While the jury is still out on that, I do believe it could be happening. I’m not sure who is next in this series, I’m kinda hoping for Nate, but really I know that I am going to be happy with whoever it is that Harper Sloan decides to entertain us with.

Cole (The Ride Series, Book #1) by Megan O’ Brien

ColeColeSynopsis TagColeBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews
Cole (The Ride Series, Book #1)

This book is the kick-off to The Ride Series and it’s going to start with the story of Scarlet and Cole. It will be told through the POV of Scarlet. Here we go.

The prologue is going to give away the fact that something creepy is happening or is going to happen to Scarlet. It is a very vague prologue, but with enough hints that you know something bad is lurking around the corner.

Scarlet left home (California) years earlier after her father’s death and she no longer felt safe. She found herself in Nevada, which was way closer to home than she originally intended. But, she found herself a really good friend in Kat and figured as long as she was careful, she would stay off of the radar. Scarlet’s dad was the president of the Sinner’s MC. Jake was her childhood friend and later her first everything. When Jake wanted to move up in the ranks of the MC and realized that Scarlet’s dad didn’t really support that and didn’t want her and Jake together, Scarlet’s dad was killed in a motorcycle accident (except, it probably was no accident). Things went from bad to worse for Scarlet and for her own safety, she knew it would be best to get away. So, needless to say, she does her best to stay away from anything motorcycle related. That is until she lays eyes on Cole Jackson, VP of the Knights’ MC.

Scarlet meets Cole when she shows up at the mechanic to pick up her car. The instant attraction is mutual, but once Scarlet takes in his motorcycle attire, she knows he is off limits. This doesn’t deter Cole, he is very persistent and soon Scarlet finds herself accepting a ride home from him and on the back of his motorcycle. But no worries, she shuts down any attempt he makes to get to know her better. That is until she runs into him at a local club. Then all bets are off.

It’s not gonna take a rocket scientist to figure out that it doesn’t take long before Scarlet finds herself in between the sheets with Cole and Cole stakes his claim with Scarlet. And if you have read any MC novel before, you also know that they will set some sort of record with moving in with one another. Scarlet will try to fight this every chance she gets. She isn’t too terribly thrilled with moving her status from “Miss Independent” to “Co-habitation”. The problem, Jake is making moves and they involve Scarlet, so what better way to keep her safe.

C’mon, you had to know that drama was going to creep up somewhere and what better way for Cole to push the “moving in” issue. Now, Cole will bring in some drama all on his own when Scarlet opens up to him about her past with Jake, something she is very hesitant to do, but does because she feels a relationship deserves honesty, but Cole doesn’t process this information well and lashes out at Scarlet. But no worries, the serious stuff comes when Jake decides to stake his claim.

As with any MC novel, especially the first one in a series, you will get introduced to the supporting cast, because future books focus on those characters. This book is no different. It has a pretty well rounded supporting cast. In particular, Kat, Scarlet’s BFF and Sal, a member of the MC. The second book will focus on them, so their relationship is somewhat of a secondary story here.

I’m a huge fan of MC books. I was a late fan to SOA and I only started to watch that show because of MC books. My husband was already a fan, but it wasn’t a show that I took an interest in. Once I became a fan of MC books, I decided to check it out and see if the two were similar, needless to say, the show hooked me. When I read a MC book, there are certain aspects that the book needs to have. Obviously, you can’t have this type of book without a strong Alpha. I gotta say that I enjoy the Alpha to be possessive/bossy/domineering, great attributes in a Alpha, right? All in a sexy way of course. If it’s written well, it will be super sexy and with a feisty, independent female, it will balance out the “Alpha-ness” of the male. I thing that Cole and Scarlet delivered well on these traits. He was the right amount of badass mixed with softness. And, Scarlet made Cole work for what he wanted, forced him to see her worth. It’s not often that the male will let loose the “L” word first, but here he did, which added to his softness. Also, aside from the main love story of a MC book, I really enjoy reading the story of the MC. I like to read the workings of the club. This book did that, not as thoroughly as I would’ve enjoyed, but it was there. Had the book been told through both POV’s, it would’ve satisfied that requirement. I know that this is going to sound super crazy, but I do wish that the “club whores” would’ve given Scarlet a rougher time. The book almost skimmed over them and as a reader I enjoy the drama that, that sort of storyline brings to a book. But, overall, I think that this is a good MC read and I think as the series progresses, it will be even better.

It would be ridiculous if I didn’t point out one of the most important parts of a great MC read, the sex. All of that “MC maleness” needs to come out somewhere and what better place than the bedroom or up against the wall or in the shower, I digress, sorry. I do think that the sexual chemistry written between Cole and Scarlet was really good. I enjoyed the sex scenes, it’s just my expectations for MC reads and sex are pretty high, and while this book met the expectations, it didn’t exceed them.

A bonus: at only 193 pages this is a really quick read and the more books released in this series, I think the better it will get. I’m super excited about Kat and Sal’s story, there is definitely going to be some serious drama happening in their story and it’s worth looking forward to.

Center Mass (Code 11-KPD SWAT Series, Book #1) by Lani Lynn Vale

Center Mass by Lani Lynn Vale | Review on www.bxtchesbeblogging.com

Center MassCenter MassSynopsis TagCenter MassBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: I first read this book back in May 2015 and I have re-read several times since, which leads me to updating this review. Truth? This was my very first crack at LLV and had I known then what I actually know now, I would’ve done a bit more research before diving into this book, but look at that cover, this BXTCH got a little handsy. However, what I wished I knew was how a lot of her books seem to intertwine and I pretty sure this is one of them. I’m not sure what book this story flows from because I haven’t cracked every single story open, but I’m quite certain it has to do with Reese’s family. Having said all of that, I can genuinely say that me starting with this book (and not the others) doesn’t diminish this story, I just missed out on a little history. Center Mass will kick off a series of books that follow the men of the Kilgore SWAT team. And while I think you should read the books in order, you should definitely read books #1 and #2 in this series in order because the storyline that starts in this book, continues in book #2, otherwise if you’re feeling a bit rebellious, the other books can stand on their own.

Center Mass will be told through the POV’s of Reese and Luke.

Reese is an elementary school nurse in Kilgore, TX. She recently relocated there and took a job that was much more conducive to her being a single parent to her five year old daughter, Rowen. She’s not working there long before she gets the pleasure of meeting Luke Roberts, assistant police chief, SWAT team captain, ex-Marine, single father, and of course, super gorgeous.

Luke Roberts is drawn to Kilgore to get away. He needs to get away from a failed relationship and away from a woman who has no interest in helping raise a child that doesn’t belong to her. In case you didn’t catch on, Luke is a single father, which is actually how him and Reese actually come face to face. . .an allergic reaction. . .an epi pen. . .Reese is the school nurse. . .now our story takes off.

Now, it doesn’t just happen for them, it does take some time and it does take some random meet ups, where they happen to be in the same place at the same time, which helps encourage things alone. The chemistry is evident and with some witty banter, the story flows well prior to Reese and Luke coming together. Reese is pretty damn funny and regardless of the alpha essence that rolls off of Luke, it doesn’t faze her, which in his eyes, makes her even more appealing. Reese’s only previous relationship experience is Weston, the baby daddy, and it’s not particularly pleasant. She lost her virginity to him, just to have him not step up and be the dad that Rowen needs. So her confidence in another relationship isn’t high, but we’re talking about an ex-Marine. . .cop. . .badass. . .single father, so needless to say, it doesn’t take long for Reese to hop on-board the Luke train.

Except that there is also a facility of penis enlargement service around the globe but it can not soft cialis be compared to any one drug. cheap sale viagra This specific component nullifies the effect in about 40 minutes. cialis generic cheap Masturbation is quite common especially among young adults. Many people lack in a number of things these days and that cialis vs levitra is the reason they fail to achieve their goals in life. Once their relationship gets rolling, the story really starts to get busy. I can’t say too much without giving a ton away, so let me skim over what I can. Lydia, who is the “I don’t want to raise another woman’s baby” bitch, shows up in Kilgore, so drama will of course, ensue. Weston (baby daddy) is going to be a huge surprise, but will bring more drama. Having said all of that, let me wrap it up by saying this, there is an underlying story line here that will involve the majority of the characters. I enjoyed this aspect of the book, my only issue was it took some re-reading on my part, because it got somewhat confusing. But it was adventurous and added some pleasantly surprising mystery that kept me captivated.

While we fall in love with Luke and Reese and they do a phenomenal job in kicking off this series, the supporting cast ensures that you will be salivating for what comes after Luke and Reese. The secondary characters in this book, will eventually become the leading characters in the subsequent books, which is why I think the series should be read in order. But, focusing on this book, you will get to know the SWAT team (which is kinda the point) and those that are important to Luke and Reese. There’s Reese’s family, who add their own element to Center Mass. There’s Luke and Reese’s girls, who we do get to really meet in the 2nd Generation series. All in all, every character we meet, brings a necessity to the book and rounds out a really well told story.

You can’t create an alpha character as dominating as Luke and not expect it to carry over into the bedroom. So, needless to say, if you’re looking for your toes to curl and your sheets to ignite, you’re in the right spot. LLV brings the stuff good. . .really, really good.

I remember first reading this book and thinking that the criminal storyline was a bit confusing and even after rereading it several times, it still somewhat is. However, some of it comes together in the books that follow. But one thing you should know before going in, is that there are a lot of connected relationships here that can get confusing, but I think that’s because I haven’t read any previous works by this author and that’s where a lot of those connections come from.  So, if you’ve read other books by her, you should flow right into this one with no issues. And now that I have finished the series, I can say that the relationship that the reader develops with the characters grows from book to book and leaves you eager in going from one to the next. Lani Lynn Vale does a wonderful job of casting the bait and hooking the reader.

Forever Too Far: A Rosemary Beach Novel (Rosemary Beach Series, Book #3) by Abbi Glines

Forever Too Far: A Rosemary Beach Novel (Rosemary Beach Series, Book #3)

Forever Too Far: A Rosemary Beach NovelForever Too Far: A Rosemary Beach NovelSynopsis TagForever Too Far: A Rosemary Beach NovelBxtches Be Blogging Book Reviews

BXTCHES Gotta Warn: If you haven’t yet read (Fallen Too Far) and (Never Too Far) then stop and read those two books first. This is the final book in this particular story, even though we will visit Rush and Blaire in other Rosemary Beach novels, their story comes to a close with this book. And it would be doing you a disservice if you haven’t yet enjoyed their story from the very beginning, so get on it.

We should probably play a little catch up first. In the first novel (Fallen Too Far) we learn that when she was just 15 years old Blaire lost her twin sister Valerie in a car accident. Shortly after that accident, her father left, leaving her mother and her alone. Blaire’s mother gets cancer and three years later, cancer claims her mother’s life. Not only was Blaire left to care for her mother while she was sick, she was also left to bury her alone. When she reaches out to her father, her father sends her to Rosemary Beach and to the house of Rush Finlay. Their first meeting doesn’t go well, but he gives her a place to stay for a month, giving her a chance to save up some money to get out on her own. Even though he tries to resist, Rush falls for Blaire and Blaire falls for Rush, the obstacle is Nan, Rush’s sister. Calling her a bitch is probably being a little too nice, the hate she has for Blaire is unmatched. Of course, we find out at the end of the book that Nan is the daughter of Abe, Blaire’s father, and that is where the root of Nan’s hate is. Blaire is hurt and decides that she needs to leave and head back to Alabama.

In the second novel (Never Too Far) we find out that Blaire is pregnant with Rush’s child. She finds herself back in Rosemary Beach and after some effort on Rush’s part, she’s back in his arms. Unfortunately, she is continuing to find herself behind Nan where Rush is concerned. She forgives him and by the end of the story, Rush and Blaire are engaged to be married. Nan is in a serious boating accident and while she is in ICU we learn that Abe is not Nan’s father but Kiro (another Slacker Demon) is.

That brings us to the finale. This book will be told through both Rush and Blaire’s POV. This book is going to kick off with a visit from Dean, Rush’s father. He finds himself in Rosemary Beach needing to convince Rush to get to L.A. and get some control over Nan. Nan now knows that Kiro is her father and she is in L.A. to get to know him (I suppose) in her own Nan way. Rush is pretty protective over Blaire and baby so they head to L.A. with him.

While in L.A. we will meet Harlow, Kiro’s other daughter, so you can imagine the way Nan feels about her. Harlow gets her own book, so getting a glimpse of her now is setting us up. L.A turns out to be a disaster for Blaire. Nan is really being difficult, even more so than usual, and because of that, Rush is focused on her rather than Blaire. Without giving too much away, while L.A. is sort of disastrous, it becomes a turning point in their relationship.

As far as Rush and Blaire, this book is really just bringing the whole story together and giving closure the reader really deserves. There’s not too terribly much to give away, although there are a few secrets still left to reveal. The wedding will occur in this book and if you are any type of an emotional person, get ready, because the “pre-wedding” may bring a tear to your eye. Blaire and Rush will also welcome their beautiful baby boy and it won’t happen at the very end of the book, so we will actually get to see them in parental mode, which may make you swoon all over Rush again.

Along with the treatments we robertrobb.com viagra ordination have mentioned, you will find that they are rich in minerals, vitamins and lots of fibre. These two herbal pills offers effective cure for premature ejaculation and viagra prices canada expand the love making time considerably by recommending these effective herbal pills. You can generico levitra on line use these herbal pills without any fear of side effects. We all want to have perfect and buy generic levitra Beautiful Skin. One of the great things about this book is the set-up it gives you for future books. First is Harlow. After her encounter with Grant, it’s no secret that they are the focus of her book. We also meet Della, the love interest of Woods and some things definitely happen in this book surrounding Della and Woods that will lead one to believe that their book is going to be fantastic. Tripp gets brought some in this book. Tripp is the cousin to Jace and even though we haven’t met him yet, he will come into play in a future book.

There are so many things to love about this book, but one of my favorite things was Blaire reconciling her relationship with her father. I think it was easy to hate him leading up to now, but after he speech to Rush in the ICU (where Nan was), my heart started to come around where he was concerned and in this story, he really redeems himself. While I don’t necessarily agree with the way he handled life after the loss of Valerie, hearing his “side” I was able to be a little more compassionate. And knowing how Rush felt about Abe, but him coming around and welcoming him into their family was very satisfying.

Nan makes her return and it isn’t pretty. How she hasn’t been punched in the face, I have no idea. But I will again say, that I love her addition to this series, you have to sometimes have good vs. evil, and she defines evil pretty perfectly. The fact that the reader can truly despise her, tells you how well her character has been written.

My only “issue” with the book is the absence of Georgianna. Even though Rush continues to deny his mother contact, I feel that she still should’ve made somewhat of an unwelcome appearance. I mean Rush gets married and has a baby and there is not one word from his mother. I also still believe that Blaire should’ve made him suffer just a bit more, especially after what happens in L.A., but that’s just a personal preference and I suppose it would go against the whole of Blaire’s personality if she didn’t forgive Rush when she did.

We can talk about the sex here, it was written well, but not as much as the first two books. The best of the sex in this book, for me anyway, comes post baby. But don’t fret, Rush is still as hot and sexy as ever.

Well, this series comes to an end and it ends well, gives closure to a beautiful story, which is all a reader can really ask for. Abbi Glines has really developed such a wonderful series. She is able to layer all of her characters, not just the leading ones, so well that it forces the reader to form an attachment to them, which for me, is bittersweet, because you’re happy that they get the story they deserve, but it’s a little sad saying goodbye to them. But, like I said, we will see Rush and Blaire again, so it’s not goodbye forever.
